I would rate this apartment a zero, but that option is not available. The unit my son rented appears to be what I would expect a crack house to look like. I now understand why they insisted on money orders for the application fee and first month’s rent as you have no option to stop payment. Because of Covid-19, we were informed that we couldn’t tour the facilities prior to renting—quite convenient as had we had the opportunity to view this disgusting, vile, unkempt domicile, he would not be there. I cannot stress enough, do not live here.

There isn’t on-site management, after 3 years of being told that corporate is working on it.

While it is affordable, there are some setbacks. Maintenance does not come unless there is a serious emergency like mold. The internet is new and every individual unit has their own. The overages have been the biggest issue. You are not notified about them, and they can be an additional $40-$50 a month on top of your rent. Our leasing agent has not been here since August so you will have to contact the School at Spring Garden St for any issues and hope they get resolved. The building is old so the steps are pretty dirty. I would only live here on a six month lease, just if you need a place to stay with bare essentials. My bathroom and bed room is clean but if you do not clean weekly you will notice it can get dirty fast, especially your carpet. The water does not stay hot longer than 15-20 minutes so be cautious of how long you shower for. It is unfurnished which I like because I prefer having my own furniture but if you do not like that do not move here.

The WiFi here is complete trash, the management isn’t really the best, they’re never at the front office. The only decent thing is having my own closet and bathroom for so cheap but I wouldn’t come back. Also I can literally hear everything my roommates and neighbors do so that’s nice...

1) Management is horrible. The manager Betty is nice to you only when you want to sign the lease, then after you sign it, its like they dont care for their customers.2) They dont have flexible service hours. So if you get locked out, youre doomed and have to pay for a locksmith.3) Internet is slow and doesnt work. Ever since I moved in in May, my internet has not been working. Every time I call the office, someone is always rude and gives me an attitude.4) That being said, NO customer service, whatsoever. They never call back, unless youre calling to sign a lease. They only care for your money and for you to sign the lease, period.Though its cheap, the place is horrible and I and my roommates fully regret having signed a lease here.

Rent is $395 but they are planning to go up on the rent when you resign without fixing any complaints that you may have. The apartment is unfurnished and infested with bugs. The carpet gets dirty quickly and the bathtub is falling apart. I wouldnt recommend staying here. The only perks are it comes with appliances like washer, dryer, dishwasher etc. And its close to UNCGs campus.

The rest of the reviews are accurate. I am currently living here and I cant wait until my lease is up to leave. The walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors peeing and having sex. There is an office located on the property and is never open. You also have to pay for a $25 gate card, and and the gate never closes. The parking spaces are very small amd first come, first served. This is the worst place Ive ever lived.

Just throw the entire complex away..Moved in and been living here for 2 months and Im over it. Never again. Appliances are super out dated (my washer and dryer is one my great grandparents probably owned), the wifi connection is terrible, shootings and fights in the parking lot, management constantly quits, surprised there isnt a big sinkhole in the parking lot yet, walls are like paper, cable goes in and out, and managers stay on your a** for money. Worst housing experience Ive had next to Campus green by NC A&T....OH and dont even think youre going to find parking after 9:00 when the bars are all open!

Spartan Place is not all bad, but its not that good either. I had lived there for around 3 years and have had difficulties with the management and the Landlord is extremely difficult and rarely wants to work with you to make your stay a pleasant one. Each year the rent is raised around $10-$15 but it does not even come close to other student apartments around the area which are at least $40-$50 more a month. The Spartan Place apartments are out-dated, internet connection constantly fails, and the overall place feels cheap for the amount of rent paid each month. Luckily, you will have your own bathroom as most of the apartments are 3 bed/3 bath. The neighbors have been robbed a few times during my 3 years here, but I have not. If you are looking for an apartment complex that is friendly and where you can get to know your neighbors, then this is NOT the place for you. I will be leaving Spartan Place this summer in hopes to find a nicer place for the money I have been paying. Its sad to see the place is falling apart and will not likely exist 5 years from now.

Horrible management. the price of apt is not worth for the living experience. i lived here for 2 years and i will move to another apt. i have been robbed, and the office works have all apts keys and they can open anyones apts without permit. they called this corporation. thats ridiculous. especially the lady, Betty. before you lease the apt, shes so nice, but once you sign the lease, she becomes a strangers and mean lady. Unhappy renting experience ever. Never recommend others to live here.

The only good thing about this apartment was having your own bed and bathroom. I was drawn in by the relatively low price of $395/99 down, but now they want to increase rent by $30 ($360/year, almost a whole months rent!) and more than double the security deposit, as well as making all current residents adhere to that for the next lease. The apartment is unfurnished, aside from appliances, so prepare to do that yourself. Youd think for nearly $1300/month (since youll be splitting that with 2 other people) they could furnish the apartment. In the summer of last year, my apartment was infested with centipedes, millipedes, and spiders. They delayed the exterminator visits twice, and when they supposedly came it took two more weeks of spraying my own Raid to feel safe in my own room. The internet went out with the recent snow, and the management has taken no responsibility for it. Their off-site Internet firm, epproach, doesnt understand at all whats wrong with the wifi. Its been a week now without a secured wifi line. Speaking of the wifi, the first year it was spectacular. Then, when my lease was renewed, it slowed to a crawl (latency of upwards of 1500ms). Despite paying $25 deposit for a key, the gate is either left open or broken 95% of the time. Lumber has taken up 3-5 parking spaces for nearly a year, despite the fence project not being finished for almost half as long. This resulted in over crowding of the lot, combined with people parking from nearby lots (the tow company is non-existent for this area). All this being said, Id rather stay here than Student Quarters. Barely. The only reason the price hike doesnt affect my decision to stay is because it would be more expensive for me to move.
