[EDITED REVIEW, NEW REVIEW AT BOTTOM]Very disappointed since ive always went here for acrylics. Got my nails done around noon today (5-28-21) and the nail polish has bubbled on the sides of a couple of my nails and is peeling off, horrible stench coming from the left over liquid polish stuck inside the bubble pockets. Not only that but a couple of my nails are crooked, theyre uneven, lumpy and THICK. I just wanted a full set of acrylics with regular nail polish... Very disappointed in spending the amount of money I did on these nails for them to turn out this way within less than 10 hours....Very impressed with how fast they are to contact their customers to fix any problems they had. Super happy with how my nails turned out this time around.

My nails looked really good when i first got them, and i had no issues with any workers or anything like that. i actually really loved the nails i got, but about a week after i got them the nail on my index finger came off when i picked up a towel, and then a few days later my middle finger on my left hand came off when i was scratching my head. Usually i dont leave reviews or anything but i’m pretty young and use my own money to pay for stuff and i dont have the money for nails to only last for a week

My daughter showed a picture of what she wanted and what she received looked nothing like the picture. Also, she was told no when she asked for her nails to be shorter. They were rough with my other (younger) daughter and cut her nails shorter (which upset her) without asking her. My nails turned out fine, but it took twice as long as the technician had to keep stopping to answer phones and check in customers.1st photo is what she asked for. 2nd is what she got.

Modern is legit💯. Def my favo nail spa ever. I have been going to Modern on and off (when I living or visiting GR, MI. Today was just so ±±±amped highly, 4realz special🚀 My nail technician for a shellac pedi and mani was an amazing person. You know when you get the hes so real vibe!? I dont know if he wants me to say his name so I wont but Boa🤪was so attentive throughout, professional, intelligent af, stylin, so cute funny, patient, kind, charismatic and an amazingly creative. Oh, and SUPER artistic💙💚🖤 I had the best day I have had in a long time. Thank you so much mystery man. 😜🙊 and of course Modern. They hire super skilled, outgoing people. Im just honestly thinking, what service (excuse) I can make another appointment soon about with B. 😆🙃 Im not a weirdo, well yeah I am, but I meant like Im not a stalker. I dont want to let him eat crackers in whatevs. Just a beautiful person. We ALL know the world needs more of Bs and consistent, quality biz owners🌏🗽🕔🎨🔑🪧✝️ Learn to dance?📞me😇😅

I had an excellent experience for a first timer. My usual place was unexpectedly closed so I called and they fit me in within the hour. I got a signature pedicure with shellac and dip ombré manicure with tips. They were professional and friendly. I loved the pedicure and my manicure is exactly what I asked for. I would definitely go back to this nail salon after this experience.

I dont normally come here and WONT BE COMING BACK! It was the quickest pedicure I ever had. From start to finishe 20 minutes! He wasnt even going to use a basecoat on my nails until I reminded him!Apparently, he had something else to do!

I never get my nails done, but I wanted something nice for my wedding day so I went to Modern Nails! Loc did a fantastic job on my pedicure - a simple light gray coat but so relaxing, and a fantastic job on the ombre french tip style with dipping powder. They looked amazing and were so durable!

I got a dip powder manicure with added nail tips and am really happy with how it turned out! The color is beautiful and the shape is consistent on every nail. Very friendly staff and they are good and efficient in what they do! I would definitely come here again when I am back in town. 😊

The people were kind, but unfortunately I wasnt very thrilled with how my nails turned out. I not only said the shape I wanted, but I also showed the photo, and still they didnt really turn out anything like I wanted. The nails were all sorts of different lengths between my hands, too. Not sure Id go back.

I ABSOLUTELY loved this place. I dont think I have ever gotten my nails done to the point where they were the perfect length and/or shape just they way I had wanted them. I love how he did it so quickly, but he stopped a lot to make sure I was satisfied with everything. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for anywhere new to go. I am speechless, beyond speechless of how amazing they are.

First time client, Nina gave me one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had. It was the perfect amount of pressure. Loc did my nails, full set with shellac-they are AMAZING. Shape and color is everything I wanted and I will definitely be back in two weeks.Update 2/21/21 very happy with Loc. He always goes above and beyond and my nails look better than they ever have. He is very thorough. And my nails don’t pop off and break like they used to.

Awesome job, I made my appointment and was in and out. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly nail techs. My bday mani was done exactly how I wanted it.

I got a full set of acrylics that started popping off at the 1 week mark. Several others were lifting and water was getting under them. It cost me 60.00 for the full set and silver glitter only on the tips because i wanted a clean look for my wedding. Never have I had a new full set come off after a weeks time. I also had the middle priced pedicure and it was rushed and I have one toe chipping already at 2 weeks

I have gone here a few times and the staff is always friendly. The services have always been great quality at an awesome price!

4 times my fiances nails broke, split, or popped off. All circumstances were small like picking up a simple towel. Shes going to a different place now.

My mom and I went in for pedicures with full sets and they were very prompt and go above for covid precautions. Kim services me and she did a PHENOMENAL job, she performed a speedy yet relaxing pedicure. I asked for a full set of stiletto French tip nails with gems and Kim exceeded my expectations and was very patient, they looked better than the picture! I will definitely be making kim my regular technician!

Very clean salon, friendly service. Walked in and it doesnt smell like a nail salon would usually smell. Reasonably priced for what I asked for and a very beautiful job on my nails. I got exactly what I was asking for with my nails length and shape. I will be going back. I highly recommend this place.

Best service Ive had at a nail salon. They also keep things extremely sanitized and clean. As someone who is going into the beauty industry, that is always something extremely nice to see. I went in with my family for my sisters wedding and they were so extremely kind to all of us and did an incredible job. My mom and I have been in a few times since, and they continue to do an incredible job each time.

Yesterday, My daughter took me in to get my nails done. Being from Canada. Lets say Ive been in about 5 different salons. I find this place so clean and sanitized and staff is Awesome. Hannah is very sweet and does a fabulous job!Matt (not Max! Lol) is amazing too, but he has Sundays off. I’ve had the other young man as well, very good and very polite too. You really can’t go wrong with anyone here! I’ve been going there for the past couple years.

My shellac manicure was great and has lasted over 3 weeks. I didnt wait long and the atmosphere was comfortable. Ill be going back soon, my first experience was awesome!

I never used to be the type of person to routinely get my nails done. About 2 years ago now we had a wedding to go to and I thought it would be a treat to have my nails done. I googled nail places and picked this one - it was the first time I ever got my nails done where I thought it was truly worth it. They do such a good job and the prices are very reasonable. Plus everyone who works here is friendly to talk with and make a genuine effort to get to know you. I’ve been coming back every few weeks for a mani pedi since. Highly recommend, I love this place!

This is my go-to place for pedicures. I have gotten a manicure and I was very pleased, however, the only reason I dont get manicures on a regular basis, is because Im very rough with my hands. I consistently come back to Modern Nails for pedicures because the price is right and they are done extremely well. Theyre very relaxing, the staff is nice and they are upgrading their facility as well. Not only do they have the massage chairs, of course they massage your legs and feet as well as exfoliate them with all natural products. In addition, they put a warm towel on your legs and feet. Keep up the great work!

I went here for the 1st time yesterday and not only judging based off my experience but all the other reviews and the women I spoke to there as well - I LOVE IT HERE! They are friendly, sanitary, and do a damn good job! I didn’t catch the name of the young lady that did my nails but she did really well. They’re gentle but very detail oriented. The prices are about $5-$10 cheaper than most places but the quality is definitely worth more. They have a rewards program as well. I will definitely be returning. I’m glad I’ve found my new favorite nail salon.

Its close to home n the price is right for a fill. My niece comes here all the time. She told me about it. Modern Nails is the best. I will continue to come here from now on when I need a fill. Thank you Modern Nails.

I absolutely loved it here. It was my first time here and they were so polite as I waited. Offered me drinks and kept me updated on how much longer. But when I sat for my nails to be done, the ladies did such a great job. Hannah’s attention to detail was amazing and her hand massage at the end! Wowow! I would attach photos but I’m not sure how!

Best set of acrylic nails I have EVER gotten! The man there is excellent! And Im really picky about my nails, but he asked me exactly what I wanted and explained everything he was doing! The shop is tucked back in a bit. The only downside was it seemed like they had less colors than other places, but it was a really fair trade with how great the nails looked and lasted!

Modern is the ONLY place I will come for a pedicure. Theyre always sure to do a good job and are very clean in comparison to any other shops Ive been in around the GR area. Delicate, yet thorough and have NEVER once gone too far. Ive seen a lot of bad out comes from other shops. No need to shop or look else where. Here is where youll want to come without hesitation.

I took my 5 year old to get pedicures with me today and the service was amazing! Very reasonably priced, especially for how much time they spent on both of us, and the adorable designs they painted on mine and my daughters nails. Will definitely be back!

My recent visit to Modern Nails confirmed this is a great salon. They accommodated 3 walk-in mani/pedis on a Saturday morning, did great work for all three of us. We were all greeted and treated well. I will definately visit again (and make an appointment). :-)

Dont waste your money or time. Was lied to about pricing like I was ignorant, all of my nails have sharp air bubbles in my shellac, acrylic chunks were left under nail edges, and has only been one week and there are spots by my cuticles that are lifted from air bubbles and improper filing. When asked if I liked them I asked her to fix them to be told theyre fine, I just didnt wash my hands good enough?. Told management on the way out about being u happy and was told they could be fixed if I waited. I had already spent an hour and a half there and had to wait for him to finish a customer. I couldnt because I had a christmas party to attend and no compensation was offered. Would never recommend or go back..
