Im very picky about my haircuts, but Yolanda did a wonderful job. Great pricing for such a high quality cut. Locally owned and welcome to anyone. Call ahead if you want an appointment later in the day, but I was able to walk in during the morning. Will be back.

Yolanda is the only barber who can cut my sons thick hair well without showing finger lines or accentuating his natural cowlicks. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

While a barbershop makes you think of mens and boys haircuts, my girls (age 9 and 12) have been very happy with their new haircuts from Yolanda. Yolanda is kind and friendly and has experience with childrens and womens cuts. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend her services. We love being able to walk over from our home to get a haircut. The location is convenient and the price very reasonable.

Said they didnt have walk-ins available so I called the next day to schedule haircut and they didnt answer the phone. I left a message with date and time I wanted to come in and asked for a call back to confirm and they never called me back!!

This was the first time I had my head shaved with a razor. The shop is very clean and well organized. She kept asking me how I am doing. When I shut my mouth. (Hehehe). She took the time to let me know each step she was going to be doing, throughout the shave.I walked out feeling Great.Highly recommend Yolanda to anyone, for any type of hair style.

Ive been seeing Megan for almost 10 years now. I dont know that Ive ever had my hair cut by anyone who cared more about her craft or how I looked when I left. Shes finally working here in her own spot, and I couldnt recommend her or Alger Heights Barbershop with any more enthusiasm if I tried.Come here, youll be glad you did.

*edited* my fav barber no longer works here. She said things did not go well, and she had to move to a different location. A barber shop really is only as good as the barbers, and without her, this place sucks.

I have a son with autism who was a bit difficult to do a haircut on (let me tell you!). Harm put him at ease and got the job done, and hes been back several times. My husband also gets his hair cut here and is happy.
