Horrible place, first showers . Not worth the price. Manager unprofessional.Remember this, us as a customer make your business survive.
Its a pricey gym, and the trainers are great. The problem is when you try to cancel or suspend your membership. We were visiting my mother in Canada for a month, and I wanted to pause my membership. They didnt let me do it because of the contract. So thats not great.
This is the absolute worst location. Customer service was good at first after they got to know you the enthusiasm went down. They give you this sassy attitude, as if they are from Mean Girls the maintenance staff is the best thing about this gym. They are down to earth humble unlike the worst who are the trainers, they give you this scumbag sales man smile. (Except Carly)Worst management ever! The general manager is most unprofessional manger I’ve come in contact with. The only reason why Im not giving this place ONE star is because of the maintenance team. This place feels like its run by kids its like high school. Full of gossip and fake smiles.I have a problem with the general manager because he is the last person who should be managing of anything, he should workout in another location he has a lot of bias behavior.HERE IS A WARNING, dont be friends with any of the employees. Just hello and goodbyeThey are flirtatious and date the members, after my encounter I wish I could cancel my membership. I wish I could say more. If only this is the summary of this location.
This is the best Equinox club I have been to. The staff here are extremely friendly (including management). For example, the personal training manager can often be seen walking through the club, handing out towels to individuals who are working out, answering questions about equipment available in the club, and introducing himself to the members. The membership advisers are friendly, but not pushy and seem to genuinely endorse the product or experience they are selling. The front staff make sure to greet you by name. The group fitness instructors are great (the ones I dont like as much just arent my match, but others love them). Theres a good variety of classes available and the locker rooms are spacious and clean.
Avoid this place. The gym is small, not enough equipment, closes too early. You are better off paying $20 some dollars and working out at 24 hour fitness or any equivalent gym. There is nothing special or better about this place. If you are all into fake hype then this gym might work out for you other then that nothing special or worthy of this place.
Higher end gym that usually has lots of space. Lots of newer modern machines and great equipment. You get what you pay for. Eucalyptus towels and regular towels given. Clean facilities and big locker room. I just didnt like the low ceilings.
I went there to check the fitness center, and I told them i need a month to month membership, because i am not so sure if this is the club for me.The membership enforced me to sign up a 12 month lease and not to worry, it will be cancelled if i didnt like it, or if i didnt use the services. That was a trap, I should of known.Fitness center should not be a stressful experience, but it has become one.
Just another fancy gym people sign up to brag to there friends, what a rip off . seriously 150.00 a month !! what the wall are maid out of gold, is someone gonna hold my hand while i work out ?? . yes it looks beautiful inside but its still not worth 150.00 a month . i pay 30$ 2 block away 24 hour super sport huge gym has pool /racket ball plus more.shop smart people .24 Hour Fitness450 N Brand BlvdGlendale, CA 91203check em out wont be disappointed
Just wanted to take a quick minute and say thank you to the Equinox Staff, especially two trainers, Ashley Mangiarano and Bob Ratliff, as well as their GM Joel Vroom and Angelica Justiniano.I recommend this Equinox for several reasons.1) The staff remembers who you are! They often greet you by name... i.e. Freddie at the front desk and Nestor (personal trainer) when he is on floor duty.2) The training staff, especially Ashley Mangiarano, takes time to listen to your goals and provide a personalized plan. Not just a 1 solution fits all approach.3) As part of the initial training intake, Bob Ratliff - Fitness Manager, helped me identify that I had high blood pressure (luckily - quickly remedied by changing allergy medications)4) The GM - Joel Vroom, and AGM - Angelica Justiniano helped my wife and I get setup with guest passes to Equinox in Lincoln Park, Chicago. This was wonderful as we needed a place to release our tensions and stress as we were in town helping my family with my Mother who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has since passed.5) The spa, especially Kyle Flocchini, gives top notch service! If you need a massage for relaxation or to help with working out sore muscles ... I highly recommend Kyle. Please keep remembering that fitness and health is a people business and not just a business. The personalized touch and support is what will make Equinox and its staff a continued success and my wife and I as loyal customers.
I absolutely love this gym. I have been a member for a number of months now and I could not be more satisfied. The facility is kept clean, equipment is well organized and maintained, and above all, the staff are remarkable people. I would not go to any other gym, regardless of the price.
So clean and friendly staff! Services is very professional !I Like this place
If celebrities have a gym they go to THIS must be it! I have never stepped foot into an Equinox before but I know people who have memberships and knowing they are willing to pay an arm and a leg for membership seemed ridiculous to me. Now I know that the membership is well worth it. They seriously have the best facility out of all the gyms Ive visited and the amenities are just as top notch.
Great equipmentGreat staffAwesome lighting and decor
Not worth the money they charge you. Heres why:-You usually cant get into classes because they fill up. This is one of the biggest problems with this gym.-Closes too early. For an example, they close at 7pm on the weekends.-Very small and too crowded. Ifs about 1/4 the size of a typical 24 hr fitness but just as busy. Youll wait for at least half of the weight machines and cardio machines. I dont want to pay $200/month for this type of experience.-2 hr limit on parking. Since getting out of the parking takes 10 plus minutes on typical hours most people work out, you better make sure you leave the gym with at least 15 minutes to spare. Granted, you may not want to stay more than 2 hours at a gym. But, If you are doing a class then, stretch and some strength training or cardio, you may be there for 2 hrs or more. Why deal with the stress of betting out of there in 2 hours.-It doesnt look like a gym that costs $175-200/month. When you pay that much money, you expect something that looks better than a place that charges $40/month. This gym doesnt.
Hi,This place is too small and the equipment limited. The only good real equinox is the one that used to sport club LA. Most of the others are too small.
The good:This gym is clean and doesnt smell like a sweat. The gym is okay if group fitness is your thing. If you already pay to goto Rumble, Barre classes, and a spa separately then you can save some money by going here and taking the group fitness classes. The Bad:If youre not here for classes and the treadmills, be prepared to wait (my personal experience). Ive been to 24 hour fitness (both of the Brand locations), Crunch Fitness in Burbank, Burbank Athletic Club, and Media Center Health Club and Equinox Glendale has the smallest weight area next to BaC. Youll find members supersetting or setting up workouts blocking areas meant for something else. The parking here is awful. Sure the gym validates but its a shared parking lot with other offices where they paint the lines super narrow. Do yourself a favor and just walk into the parking lot and look at the spaces and how cars are parked first. If youre going to cost 3x as much as another gym, I would hope I wouldnt have to spend that much time waiting to use equipment. The ugly:This gym is a forced one year commitment. They will not cancel your membership for any reason unless you have proof that you moved 25 miles away from an Equinox location or get a doctors note saying you cant workout for at least 6 months. The person selling you the membership will gloss over this, please pay attention and be sure you actually want to join. Its 2019, and even Baileys fitness stopped this practice years ago.Bottom Line: Do you love fitness classes and are you willing to commit to doing this for over a year. Yes? Then this gym is clean and might be what you want.If not, literally any other commercial gym would be more cost effective. Crunch Burbank or 24 hour Super Sport would have the equivalent amount of equipment (or more) at 1/3 the price with no contract if you can live without the eucalyptus scented towels.
Not the best Equinox but easy to get in and out. Parking is simple and staff is friendly.
Great equipmentGreat staffAwesome lighting and decorGreat eye candy/inspiration
Came in on a guest pass for yoga. Beautiful gym, spa-like locker rooms, and top notch equipment (all manduka, even with their nice mat towels). I dont know if I would ever join here because the membership cost is so high. My yoga class was a bit too full (Saturday, 12:30), and the instructor wasnt quite chill enough for my taste. She would harp on the class for form issues and was just a bit short and demanding. Totally fine for other types of fitness classes, but yoga should be a different experience. The way she interacted with newer students seemed a bit patronizing as well. Nothing too bad, just doesnt make me excited to return.
Freezing cold at all times, ridiculous... People are working out in hoodies with hoodies up and freezing... Mobile app was developed by people who do not know about Quality Assurance, User Experience or anything related.
Wow, the towels have EUCA-fuggen-LYPTUS towels. If you dont know what that smells like youre probably in the wrong tax bracket. Good luck affording a gym membership with your associates degree. YMCA is looking for new members.
Everything is clean and its in is please showers are very clean and worth every penny!!
Clean, new, upscale and you can always get on a machine.
Some of the members of management at this location were so pompous, very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Ive never had a worse experience in my life.
Small, cold, closing hours are terrible (plus they have the nerve to close at 3pm on a Sun to do a pic nic for employees). Get a grip.
Read ATTENTIVELY BEFORE YOU WILL SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS CLUB a membership !
Not happy with closing hours !! Today is Friday and they closed 9 pm, Saturdays and Sundays 7 pm ! Really ??? Why?
Closes too early
