They do good work at a good price. The building is rundown but dont let the shady looking location fool you.Aaron will treat you right.
We took our VW to this shop. Big mistake. He overcharged us and left our vehicle in pieces, costing us an additional 600 to put back together the car. Nothing is fixed. We paid 600+ for absolutely no answer to what is wrong with the car and having to tow it, in pieces to solo. Let’s hope they don’t act as crazy as this old hillbilly did. ZERO STARS.
Gentleman has alot of knowledge on Mercedes and other european vehicles and good prices
Great work, honest people, really good service
Aaron and his team are patient and knowledgeable. I brought my VW to Parks after experiencing idling issues. They listened closely to me, asked careful questions, and inspected my vehicle closely. They found the issue, as well as an unrelated issue that clearly would have sidelined me, and they were able to get me back on the road shortly after. Prices were very reasonable and overall communication was excellent. I give them my full recommendation.
Horrible service. Uncertified Meth addict looker for a mechanic and liar for a boss. Brought car in to fix window and left with a $600 bill and broken convertible top. Called him out on the lies and says he does know how it works. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR!!. Ridiculous.
Employees are awesome very helpful with any questions and quite Pleasant to conversate with
I had them work on my 05 325i, 05 330i, and 08 550i.Had a good bit of work done, always very thorough.I also had a family member with a 2004 M3 go from 180k to 250k with this shop. They do a great job.I will say: as with most shops they take a few days. If you want quick, there are chains thay charge WAY too much like pep-boys/express where you do not want to take a German car anyway.
I want to share my Wonderful Experience with Parks Import Repair at 2040 Dawsonville Hwy. I live in Southern CA and my elderly Mother lives in Gainesville. Her 2004 Jaguar was not driving right and she thought she needed brake fluid so I told her to go to Express Oil Change but they said she needed the brake lines replaced,so she just started down Dawsonville Highway and saw the sign for Parks Import Repair and turned in. She met the owner Aaron Barnes and he added brake fluid and it ran right out, he said it was a miracle she made it that far. He drove her back to her home and my Mother called me and I spoke with Mr. Barnes who said he would fix her Jaguar, he had 50 years experience and I said OK but she was on a fixed income, he understood and said he would do everything in his power to keep the cost down. He even mailed my Mother’s bills and bought the stamps needed since she would have to be without a car until it was repaired. He ordered the parts and kept the cost extremely down which I so appreciated and her car is down driving fine and she’s Happy! I’m extremely Happy with Mr. Barnes Kind, Honest and Highly Professional treatment towards my Mother and I Highly Recommend Aaron Barnes/ Parks Import Repair🤗
This is the place to go for all of your mechanical diagnostics and mechanical repairs for your imported vehicles. The owner of the shop is very helpful and explains exactly what will need to be done very clearly and in a way that you can have confidence that the job will get done right the first time. I have taken my vehicles to Parks Import for over 10 years and I cannot express how they are very fair priced and make you feel like family!
Parks has great customer service. The owner and the technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly. I am very glad that I chose this shop to service my bug.
Great service and great people
They did more harm than actually fixing anything I actually took my car in for. Car broke down days later with a completely dead battery when my issue had nothing to do with battery. They also said they “messed around” with my locking system which I HAD NO issue with and did not need fixed. Now my window is completely jammed and is stuck open. Also got harrased by a young blonde man who was there when I had to get my car towed back there for them to fix what they messed up. Oh, and I had to pay for the additional work. Could have all been avoided if they fixed what I took the car in for and nothing else. Which, what I took it in for, getting one interior door panel pushed back on, WAS NOT TOUCHED. thanks for nothing!!
I had a great experience with my 2006 VW Jetta TDI (Diesel) - Parks Import Service was over $400 cheaper than the dealership for a timing belt and water pump change, they used high quality parts, and I dropped it off a little after 8am and was able to pick up the car a little before 5pm the same day (I had called two days prior to schedule the work).Aaron and his team were very professional - they mentioned two other small repairs that might be needed in the next year or so, but no pressure, and my car sounded so much better as I drove it home. I would recommend them to fellow Diesel Jetta owners - great work at a much better price than dealerships.
*** WARNING ***IF YOU VALUE YOUR VEHICLE, TIME, OR MONEY DO NOT BRING IT TO PARKS VOLKSWAGEN REPAIR.I took my Audi A4 to Parks and it did not leave for 2 months. The shop was unable to fix my issue after 3-4 times of being told the car was fixed. They lacked the experience and tools necessary to properly fix my car. They are just part swappers. They told me that they needed to replace countless parts that were not fixing the issue. I paid for a majority of these parts with zero evidence that they needed to be replaced to begin with. The shop is only open M-F and closes at noon on Friday. So if you are in a pinch and need weekend work done- too bad they are not working. When you walk into the shop you are greeted by a friendly gentleman with a pistol on his desk. This is not a place where I would feel comfortable sending my wife or children. My car left the shop smelling like an ashtray. Im not a smoker and despise the smell of cigarettes. Why must it smell like I have smoked in the car when I get it back? The car was also covered in a light dust/dirt from being in the shop so long. They could have at least hit it with a hose to clean it off. I also had a can of dip sitting in the rear seat floor. Thank you very much for your trash. I also found that the engine bay had cigarette ash all over it. The intake manifold must make a great ash tray.I inspected the work that was done and found that the MAF connector was broken and was being held on by gravity alone. The air filter box was not placed on correctly allowing unfiltered air into the air intake. If I did not look that over I would have been replacing the MAF because of the dirt that would have covered it. Not to mention the dirt that would have gotten into the turbo and intercoolers. I found a few vacuum hoses being held on by zip ties. Zip ties should only be used in an emergency to hold on automotive hoses. If a hose clamp was on it to begin with it should be replaced by one.I called the owner to inform him about what I had found. He did offer to make things right but this would involve me taking my car back to Parks. I told him that I fixed the work myself and I would never bring my car back to do any work in the future. He then tells me you are the most difficult human being I have ever dealt with in my entire life and if you need any more work done on your Audi you can take it someplace else. I guess in the owners mind getting work done correctly and in a timely manner is too much to ask. The fact is the shop had my car for 2 months I had to bring it back in 3-4 times because they told me it was fixed 3-4 times. This involved my wife and newborn to come and pick me up each time. I also paid for a bunch of things that can never be determined if they were actually broken. Being upset about all of my issues and voicing them to the owner makes me difficult. Maybe Im just the first one to actually call them out on their crappy work.If you are spending the time to find a good shop there are others in the Gainesville area that deserve your money over Parks. If you are reading this review while broke down in front of the building, I recommend calling a wrecker and getting it towed to a different shop.
Very good service
Good job
