I have used Mid FL Air for 25 yrs and have been very pleased with all of their services. Employee John is the best. John gets a 5 Star rating from me.

Not good. Feel as if an amateur job was done and I was charged for a pro’s job. The guy was a real joke. He said it would be $125 to empty the drain line and refill. He used my hose to back flush the line (which is a bad practice) got the blockage out, a small frog, and some sediment. He then quit and let me turn off the hose without flushing the line. Then over the noise of the unit he mentioned that it was now running.I must now purchase screen to cover the drain after I flush the rest of any sediment from the line.Also, I told him what the problem was and he did no further diagnosis of the unit. However, he charged $99 for diagnosing the problem.Finally, the tech was at my home less than one-half hour.

I am very satisfied with the work that John does to repair our A/C unit. He is a consummate professional and explains thoroughly the process. He is definitely someone who takes pride in his work. I appreciate that. Kudos for having him in the Mid-Fla team. Thank you also for the same day service that you provide. My 88yr old mother won’t be sweating it out another day.😊👍🏽

Vince was very kind and Mid Fl came out right away which was wonderful. However we were disappointed as the price quoted for a hot water heater tank was $600 more than similar companies. We have been a loyal customer since we moved in in 2016. We also just purchased 2 brand new air conditioning units a month before and had a great experience with them. Sadly Mid Fl was not able to offer any loyalty discounts or reduce the price so we decided not to go with their company.

Stephen was dispatched when we came home to find our A/C frozen. He explained clearly and patiently what was wrong and what our options were, gave the information I needed without being pushy. The next day he came back and installed the necessary part. At every step he was polite and clear, worked efficiently and unobtrusively, and improved my confidence in Mid Florida Heating and Air.

I love having a PM contract with Mid Florida. They are always responsive and professional and helped us out in a pinch.

Have used Mid- FL for years. Vincent was our technician today. He arrived well within the appointment window and performed a thorough check on our A/C system. He recognized and got to the heart of the problem and fixed it. Vincent explained the technical side of the issue in a way I could understand and the plan to re-check in the near future. He was pleasant, friendly and full of personality. Would be happy to work with Vincent again.

They are always very punctual and responsive. I have never had a bad experience. John was on time and figured out the problem in minutes. Now just need to wait to get the part in 🥵

The unit itself has worked really well so far, we have no complaints in that regard. However, other aspects of our experience has been lacking. While our install technicians were very nice, one of them had dirty hands and left black marks all over our attic entry and the wall where our new thermostat was installed. The first thermostat was defective, and they only replaced it after we asked if they had another one on their truck. It was obviously broken, we shouldn’t have to ask in the first place.The major issue has been the county inspection. Our unit has failed twice. Mid Florida send a technician out after the first failure that had no idea what he was supposed to do. He asked me what he was there for. The county inspector sends the failed inspections to Mid Florida. He should of known what he was here for. Needless to say it failed a second time. I called Mid Florida about it and they didn’t even apologize. Andrew just said that he would send someone else out. Guess what? That person never called and never showed up. We are tired dealing with this, and it’s sad that I have to write this review to get their attention. Mid Florida seems to quit caring about their customers as soon as their payment clears the bank. Keep that in mind before you do business with them.

John was amazing. Honestly just a good all around experience. Had my ac back and working on a Sunday within the hour. I had a pleasant talk he was very professional but also good for conversation and showed me how to clean my ac while setting me up on a maintenance program. I hope to get him again in 6 months!

Do yourselves the favor of a headache and frustration, and don’t ever use Midflorida AC!! Worst customer service!! We had a new unit installed last year, and the new unit continued to give us the same issue. We called them out for MULTIPLE service calls within the year after getting it, and they never could find an issue. SAME thing happening again and because we’re 2 weeks outside of the year warranty (even though they see the many times they’ve already been called out) they are charging us $100 to come out again! Year old AC and it’s not working. Such a shame 😡😡

We called this business a few weeks back for a repair and they were very professional and courteous. We had to replace our unit this week and the men who came today were also just as great. The phone calls and emails to let us know who, when, and where they would be was also very nice.

This company is great! Compassionate people and willing to come out in the heat after hours to fix the AC! After calling multiple places, they were the only ones that responded and were just so nice! Mid-Florida Heating & Air do a wonderful job of coming out and repairing our A.C. whenever we call. They offer quick and courteous service. I rate them a 5-star business.

If I could give them a half star I would. We had them install a new AC unit in July of 2018. In May of 2020 the unit stopped working. They did come right out to take care of the problem, thats where they should receive the 1/2 star. The problem was that the capacitor had died. The technician claimed that this happened so early because when they installed the unit less that 2 years earlier they neglected to install some other part. The service fee, 2 new parts, warranty processing and labor came to just shy of $600!!! We contacted Mid-Fla about the bill, stating that the reason the capcitor went was because of an error on their part, and we shouldnt be sattled with such a large bill We were happy to pay the $267 for the start assit that should have been in the original install, but if they had installed everything properly in 2018, we wouldnt have a $600 bill. They verbally agreed to refund us for the capacitor ($147), but never followed through. We have made 6 phone calls to them since May, and no one knows what we are talking about, and no one is available to handle this issue, but they assured us that they would call back. They never called back. They did however, finally, mail us a check Oct 30 2020, for just over 1/2 what was verbally agreed/expected. Upon receiving this check I started calling again, asking wherer the rest was. I did finally receive a call from them stating that thats the best they can do. So, for the fact that we have been trying to get this issue resolved for so long, and they have not held up their end of the agreement, I give them 1/2 a star.

These guys were on time. Worked steady and cleaned up after themselves. They took the time to explain the parts of the process that we can do to keep our system operating properly.

Zane was terrific. He is very nice, knowledgable and professional. He arrived on time and we were kept informed of Zanes service schedule as he worked his way through other calls and got to our call. Mid-Florida is more communicative than ANY other repair or service company of any kind that we have ever worked with. When our AC failed last night, Mid-Florida had someone to take our call immediately and get us prepared for a morning service call. We do need a new AC. Mid-Florida has exactly what we want - the best - and is working with us to get it installed a.s.a.p. We couldnt ask for better service or better people!

Vince came out to repair our AC unit yesterday. I called at 8am and by 2pm he was here. I call that prompt! Especially in this summer heat wave.Vince explained the problem, showed me the broken part and was very professional. Mid-Florida cleaned, sanitized and sealed our ductwork. Anthony, Harold, and John were professional and answered all of our questions during the process. Mid-Florida also performs our routine maintenance every year and always wears shoe protection. I especially appreciate their efforts now with shoe protection and masks when they come in the house. Calling later in the evening I was surprised to hear someone could still respond to fix my A/C although it was after dark. Im thankful cause the house was hot being in August.

Called them up to diagnose and fix an issue with my AC. They arrived on time. After diagnosing the problem, the issue was the capacitor. (the most common problem with ACs when they go out). The charge to replace it was $260, and that was on top of the $100 service fee to get them out there. So, $360 to replace the capacitor. ...Shop around before landing on this company as you will definitely find better prices elsewhere.

I have never had any issues with either the phone or field personnel.Techs have always been on time and very professional.Perfect example: Received a call from Brittany in the Gainesville office to schedule my biannual service visit. She was so nice on the phone. I frankly had a long day and her pleasant demeanor really made my day. The fact that she took a few seconds to make small talk made me feel like I was talking to a friend as opposed to a salesperson looking to make a commission.Thumbs up to the entire staff at Mid -Fla and especially to Brittany L.

Colton got here on time, got right to work, kept me up to date with what he was doing. He gave me a very informative display, both with his words and photos on what remedial efforts should be taken. His explanations were concise and helpful. It wasnt all good news, but it all made sense, and I appreciate that.

Charlie was our initial contact. Could’t have been more patient and understanding of all our many questions during our learning experience to determine what we needed to replace our old heating/ air system. Once determined, equipment was ordered, install date scheduled in two or three days. Two people showed up on time to remove old unit and install the new one. Polite, very efficient and fast. No time wasted. In about 4.5 hours whole job done and explanations and instructions completed. Smiles, and very friendly. Sooo pleased! House cooling as we speak.

We have a maintenance contract with Mid-Fla Heating and Air. The last service call was made by James E. He was very courteous and timely when he arrived at our house. He explained the work he was doing and answered my questions in a gracious manner. James completed his work in an efficient manner.We have two AC units which are 10 years old but look half that age. I believe a lot of the reason why the systems are in such good shape is the maintenance service by Mid-Fla. It is a cost effective method to prolonging the life of a HVAC system. I will continue to use Mid-Fla and recommend them to family and friends.

Mid-Florida Heating & Air sent Zane the same day we called. He quickly assessed our heating problems and we were able to schedule repair within days. The crew that replaced the unit had some troubles but they did not leave until the unit was working properly even though it was getting late on a Friday night. The price did not change at all from the estimate and we are happy with the results. It does get cold in Florida and we are finally warm again.

The installation of the new a/c unit was perfectly done, on time and within budget. My technician, James E. Was very professional and well versed in the maintenance my unit. He made some reccomendations for the installation of some added features. He explained the purpose of these additions but he did not try to force them on me. Florida Heating and Air has extremely well trained technicians who are always happy to educate me when I ask questions. They are professional, efficient, and trustworthy. The office staff is always friendly and helpful especially in emergencies. These guys are available 24 hours a day, everyday and usually respond within 1 hour. In this Florida heat, that is important to me. They give you a monetary break if you are signed up for yearly maintenance.

When our A/C went out, I hate to admit we were miserable. Not only were we melting in the 93 degree heat, a large unexpected expense is exactly what we did not need. We were worried.The lady that ansered the phone and set up servi e call was nice and explained they would try to get out asap, I was surprized they meant the same day. When the tech arrived he was polite and professional. He took the time to explain the problem and answer all the questions we had. I was back and forth on reviewing them. At first had kinda bad experience then I thought good. I was deceived. I was working on financing never heard from anyone. What I got was they are working on great option for me. Its been almost 3 weeks house is 90 plus. Wife has heat issues and at this point could have figured something else out. I was promised at call around lunch which I could show text info but nothing. Thats not good business. I will be contacting better business bureau tomorrow. With all the info I have.

Had Mid-Florida Heating & Air respond to my residence for annual a/c check up. Service tech Vincent P arrived exactly on time and explained what checks he would be performing. While inside the house he wore shoe protectors, making sure not to bring any dirt inside. Upon completion of the service, Vincent P went over all the findings and gave several recommendations. Not long after we bought our house the 18 year old AC that came with it went out. Mid FL Heating and Air was helpful through the whole process of getting a new ac & the new system literally cut our electric bill in half. James E just came out for the 6 month check on our new system. He was very helpful & informative and took time to answer our questions thoroughly.

Cory J. was very knowledgeable, courteous and patient. I was hot, due to no A/C and angry, since the unit is less than 2 years old, when I called for service. Cory came to service our A/C, was patient, courteous and took the time to explain things to me. I would definitely want Cory to be our tech of choice.

I needed someone that understand geothermal heat pumps and find not many techs have this experience. Cory came out, diagnosed, and resolved the issue quickly. Very nice guy. Will definitely request Cory next time I have an issue.

Field technician James E. conducted a maintenance house call today February 16, 2008. We were notified ahead of time of his approximate time of arrival and he was punctual for the appointment. James E. was extremely personable, professional and thorough, working industriously throughout the hour it took him to complete his tasks. He explained everything in a manner we could understand and answered all of our questions and also demonstrated how we could routinely change the filter. For the last two days Vince and his assistant worked very hard under 90+ degree weather to install our Generac generator. The attack was very hot and they worked to bring a line from the back yard gas meter to the side of the house where the generator was being installed. Awesome! AC had been acting up a few weeks ago and we thought we cleared the clog in the condensation lines. Finally stopped working this evening. I thought that we would have to wait until at least the next day or a few days for an appointment, but that was a pleasant surprise! I called to leave a message and actually got a call back at 745pm. Tech, Cory, arrived promptly at 845pm as expected. He quickly diagnosed a significant clog and cleared it up. Very pleasant and professional!Extremely happy with the service!! I have been with Mid Florida for many years. I request the same technician and he makes sure everything is documented and taken care of promptly. He checks everything too--he doesnt just clean it. Honest, on time and reliable.

We had Mid-Florida Heating & Air come do our Furnace Cleaning and they came recommended. I dont doubt they did a good job, but at the end the guy said our outside Central Air Surge protector was not working and they could sell me one for over $219.00. He showed the surge protector to me in the original box.Since I sell online, I asked if i could look the same exact one up, and sure enough, found the same one selling for $60.00. I told him what I had found, explained I felt that was a very big markup, and passed.I will be purchasing my own and finding a local trusted electrician to install.
