Earlier this year A-Plus installed two American Standard split-system air conditioners at my house. On the initial visit the owner, Bob McCollum, inspected and measured the existing units and ducting at ground level and in the attic. His comments were to the point, clearly based in knowledge and experience, and free of a fluffy sales pitch. His price was in line with other estimates I received. Further communication was carried out by email. The two installations occurred on separate days in about 7 hours each by an organized and courteous crew that attended to all the details of the installation, did not waste time, and left no mess. The systems have been working well, as promised, and Im very pleased with the efficiency and quality of the entire operation.

I contacted A+ AC to inquire about a new AC system for my home. The person answering the phone was very attentive and stated that the Service Manager, Jason, could stop by my house on his way home that same day. Hearrived as stated and looked at my current system. He retrieved the necessary information and listened to our needs. He made some suggestions but said that he would discuss with the sales manager, Bob and he would get back to me with several options to pick from. The next day I received the lists. My wife and I made a choice and relayed it back to Bob.Unfortunately, the original AC we picked was not available but the company upgraded, at no extra cost the the next upscale unit! The unit was delivered with a couple of days.Bart and Chris arrived on the scheduled date on time and began the install process. They were very courteous and got right to work. As the process moved forward Bart entered the house taking care to remove his shoes and placing drop cloths down were he was working to install the new thermostat. After initial install he assisted in getting my iPhone connected to the unit so I could control it via the phone.I commend both Bart and Chris for their great work ethic and working knowledge. It was a pleasure seeing them work harmoniously to execute their mission.A+ AC in my opinion are exceptional in their attentiveness to their customers. Thank you

Bert and Chris installed a vent and return to a room were encoding. On time and ID themselves before proceeding. Work was so quiet I almost thought they had left for some reason. Work was fully explained to me and what needed to be done as the enclosure project moved on. And there were no hidden costs. The price was exactly what was quoted. Good team. Good management. ***EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE FROM BART!!*** A+ heating and air installed the system in our new home. This weekend, we had our first maintenance visit and I couldn’t happier with the service Bart provided. He was available on a Saturday (!!) of the same week I called (amazing considering May-June is busy season for AC repair/maintenance). He called ahead, arrived on time, and was extremely efficient. He was so kind to answer all of my questions and showed me how to adjust the airflow in my home to optimize it for our needs. He was an angel to my 1-year-old little girl who thoroughly wanted to “help” him the entire time. He worked with me to make sure her room was being cooled to the right temperature and confirmed the ventilation was appropriate. I felt so comfortable with Bart and will be requesting him again!! From estimate to install, the folks at A+ were top-notch. They listened to my needs, didnt try to upsell me with extras I didnt need, and explained the estimate in detail. I have a small house and other companies tried to convince me to get a huge system, even double units, to keep humidity in check (and then started to mansplain humidity to me!). I was quite impressed that the owner of the company was my initial contact and he came out personally to do the estimate. He helped me decide what size system was best for my small home. Im happy to say that both the temperature and humidity in my home have been very comfortable even on long hot days. The installation was quick and they cleaned up well, leaving no debris behind. Additionally, the owner, staff, and technicians were all professional, courteous, and prompt in all of their communication. We have used A+ multiple times for AC repairs and have never had any issues. When it was time to finally bite the bullet and get a new AC installed we knew just who to turn to. Josh was very friendly but not intrusive. He was very tolerant as I was babysitting at the time and toys were strewn all about. After he finished servicing our unit, he gave great advice on how to know when it’s time to replace our unit vs. getting something repaired. He is very knowledgeable and allowed me to ask questions and spent time answering them for me.

I am extremely happy with the choice to use A + Heating & Air. After fighting issues for over a year with our AC, it finally died and A+ was the first company to come out and have availability. We got the run around from several other company’s. I wish I could remember the initial technicians name, but he was very professional and honest. He told us he could fix our AC but there were several other problems and wanted the owner to come out. After that, the owner, Bob, came out and spent about an hour looking around the house and analyzing the issues. There were SEVERAL items and corners that were cut that I was unaware of and Bob named specific items that I did not tell him were additional issues we were having. Clearly, he knows what he is talking about when it comes to AC’s! Our job was a big undertaking to correct, and he actually offered to temporarily and safely repair the machine to try to get us AC until they were able to come out and do it correctly. When the repair team came out, Bart was extremely professional and clearly takes pride in his work. He double checked several times with me to make sure that I liked what was being done, approved of the way it looked, etc. They also cleaned up after themselves and you would never know that a crew of men were in and out all day! Will recommend this company to anyone who will listen.

Had an issue with my AC unit. Shelton came to my house within an hour on a Saturday, and spent over an hour testing multiple potential causes. He even tried swapping out a part and didn’t charge me when it fix the system. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and patient as he walked me clearly through all the options (including pros and cons) for next steps. Since I am part of their membership program, this diagnostic visit didn’t cost me a thing. Would highly recommend.

Shelton was the best person Ive ever spoken with in regards to hvac. We recently purchased a new AC from A+ based on the recommendation of a coworker/friend. The crew headed up by Bart installed the system worked well together and very efficiently. Great service during install, professional and friendly. Exactly one year later air handler in attic started leaking water, damaged ceiling in bathroom directly below unit in attic. Called on A plus for help and repair. Bob came out, was gruff, told us we needed to change the filter, vent the drain, and cut bushes away from outdoor unit. All to no avail, still leaking into bathroom. Three different AC companies came to inspect, they all said the unit was installed out of level causing water to accumulate and drip outside of the pan, into our attic and subsequently into the bathroom below. Gave A Plus one more chance to come out and help with the issue, they did not return our calls. Hired another company to level the unit, problem solved. Disappointed that we did not have a good experience.

Great experience! I had a hard to find air filter, but live in Perry. I couldnt find anyone that had one near me. Called A+, they had one but when they heard where I lived, they found me a place closer to get it. Summary: they sacrificed an easy $60 sale for awesome customer service. Thats integrity that you just dont find these days in business. Spoke to two different folks on the phone and they were top notch and friendly. This was truly a refreshing experience.

I highly recommend A+ for air conditioning needs. We purchased a new Carrier unit 4 years ago with expectations that it would help to significantly lower our electric costs with the efficient cooling and dehumidifying features. It has cut our electric bills almost in half and we spend an average of $2.00 per day in a/c costs. We signed up for the maintenance plan and receive a visit each spring and fall to check the unit out and change filter if necessary. Yesterday, we experienced a problem for the first time. Our house humidity was up to about 60% and the temperature rose to 86 degrees! Obviously, the a/c wasn’t running. At 6:05 pm, I called the office. An on-call technician, James, returned my call within 15 minutes and soon was at our house running the diagnostics on the Infinity system. With help from another technician, Rick, they had the problem pinnned down to one of two causes. They ordered both of the parts, just in case, and Rick was at our house the next morning by 9:40 am and cool air was flowing out of the vents an hour later. Denise, office manager, James and Rick really came through for us. Their timeliness, service and most of all their pride in their product and the desire to solve problems make this a great company. We upgraded our AC/Heat system a few years ago, but the 1958 ducting wasnt able to handle the new system properly. He spent a great deal of time to explain their Maintenance Savings plan. It is a great value, I am proud to say we are members of the Comfort Club and rest easy knowing we will always enjoy comfortable temperatures in our home. Twice a year, Laura calls with reminders to keep us on schedule and is always a phone call away should any trouble arise between visits. She is a pleasant person and its a joy to speak with her. Rick comes to our home in the spring and in the fall to service the units. He is a very kind individual that respects our home and works hard to keep everything in running order for us. We find him to be very honest and we trust his recommendations. The Maintenance Savings plan has saved us a lot of money.

A+ was the first company I called when our 19 year old A/C unit bit the dust. They were quick to come out and diagnose the problem. Jimmy and David are very helpful. Jimmy answered questions and problem solved over the phone so I didnt have to pay for an emergency service. David came out the next day and checked on everything to make sure the problem was fixed.

A+ installed an new AC system for me about a year ago. I was very pleased with the cost of the system. They explained everything clearly to me from the estimate to the operation of the newly installed system. Then they set me up with a maintenance plan at a very reasonable cost. Rick from A+ Air Conditioning & Refrigeration gave us stellar service when the heating function on our heat pump failed. He came out the same day we called, ran some tests, and quickly determined that we needed a new part which he ordered. When the part came he returned and installed it - in the rain!. Rick is professional and courteous. He takes his time to explain his findings simply and clearly about what he is doing. And he charmed our two dogs during his visits. Last night our air conditioner stopped working, it was about 8/8:30 at night. We are new to the area so we did a general search and found A+ that offered emergency calls. Since it was 89 in our house and only 79 outside, with kids and pets we called not wanting to wait until the money. They were friendly on the phone and the tech called us back within 10 minutes of calling. The on call tech (Jeffery) was an hour and half away and arrived in less time that was given. He worked on our air until almost midnight to make sure that everything was working and correct before he left. Even though it was late at night he was friendly and provided excellent service. We are extremely pleased with their services and prices. I would recommend them to anyone in their service area. Thank you A+ and Jeffery!

This company was highly recommended to me by the previous longtime owners of the Wine and Cheese Gallery in Gainesville. Apparently A+ serviced the Gallery beautifully for more than 25 years. It turns out for me that the company is indeed wonderful. The owner herself graciously immediately set up an appointment for a technician to come to my house, and the technician (Rick Glisson) has been wonderful. I was having problems with my heater. Rick came the very day I was without heat (it was very cold that day) and found all sorts of problems that he fixed within the hour. This seems to be a model company, and Mr. Glisson is just wonderful.

We had A Plus install and service our Carrier AC Unit and we have never had anything but excellent service. Their technician, Rick, is their best asset as people are often more valued than product or price - although they excel in all three. I strongly recommend them - and Rick - for any of your AC and heater needs.Update: Rick won us over again! We just had our regular maintenance visit and Rick made sure that there wont be any surprises this summer. Between Rick and regular maintenance we couldnt be happier with A+ - they have earned their name once again!

This is based on years of excellent, courteous customer service in taking care of our air conditioning and dryer vent needs. We purchased a new Carrier system from A+ some years ago and we love how our GRU bill has consistently been less. From the 1st time A+ came out to our home almost 18 years ago to current date, their representatives are always wonderful to work with. We are Comfort Club members, and really appreciate a trustworthy company like A+. Their workers are extremely knowledgeable, patient, hard working, and always on time. We also use A+ to clean our dryer vent and since we started using A+, my dryer works so much better, drying clothes in much less the time. Being a customer of A+ has benefitted us greatly because we know that when it comes to our AC or dryer vent needs, we dont have to worry that the job is done right the first time. Ive been satisfied with A+ for years. The year we bought our house and needed a whole new unit vs a band-aid on old unit. The service techs were professional and kind. Worked into the late hours to complete the job. Ever since Ive been getting our AC looked at as a preventative measure twice a year. Rick has been our technician and hes always a pleasure to see. Shelton came to my house at 9:30 PM after hours to service my ac and he didnt charge me a fee. He was very professional.

We love A+ air condition and refrigerator they do good honest work. When you make a appointment with them they come on time and work efficiently. Any repair or replacement they recommend I would recommend you do so after all they know what they are doing. We have no problem with our unit since we been using this company.

After much research into local AC companies, my husband and I chose to use A+ air conditioning due in part because for the initial consultation and estimate Bob himself came out. He was very informative. The day of the install his technicians (Josh and his helper) arrived on time and worked diligently, even in the rain, to get our new air conditioning unit installed in a timely fashion. They were very polite and professional, removing their shoes before coming into the house and not leaving until we understood exactly how to operate our new control unit.
