After having a maintenance check up and cleaning this afternoon. The AC was just not cooling down and I was extremely stressed because I can’t afford a new AC right now. I called the after hours service line and spoke with Jimmy. He had me trouble shoot a couple things over the phone and it was still down. He got to the house very quickly and diagnose/ fix the issues in less than 10min. He was friendly, informative and a pleasure to work with. I’ve never given a review before tonight. This HVAC company is professional and their workmanship quality is exceptional. Starting from the guy who gave me a quote, Nick Pino. He was very patient with me answering my concerns, he tried to match and even lower quote from others competitors, he tried to reach out to me over the phone. And then the guys that came out, Kenneth, Dean and Tim! their names need to be mentioned because they are the real heroes. Ken is very honest and strait (no bs), answers all questions I had, Dean can make it work, faced with complex problem, he made the furnace (front facing) in my garage, even better. And Tim made his work neat by putting the pipings to the compressor underground which is hidden. These guys know what they are doing! If you are still in doubt who to call for your AC/heating projects, give Ray French a chance and you will be a satisfied customer like me. Our air conditioning stopped blowing cool air and we called Ray French for an estimate to make repairs and replacement of parts and Rob showed up at our home the same day. Ray French installed our new system in 2000 and we feared that the entire system would have to be replaced at a cost we could not afford. Instead of that, the serviceman, Rob, went right to work, replaced needed parts and removed the blower in in the air handler to re-position and center it. All completed within a couple + hours of his arrival and at a reasonable cost. As he said when finished perfect is better than good. Freon is good and everything is working exactly as it should like it was when new. We do not hesitate to recommend this family owned A/C business to anyone because they treat their customers like family as they have since 1961. I trust these people and I think you can too. P. I had a considerable leak in my utility room coming from the AC unit. Of course I didnt discover it until the day before a holiday weekend! Ray French does have an emergency number to call but my situation was not an emergency; however, I did leave a voicemail and assumed I would not hear from them until Tuesday, after the holiday weekend was over. To my pleasant surprise, someone called me back on Monday and offered to send someone out that day but I said it could wait until the next day. The technician came out to my house on time and was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He was efficient and did a thorough job in less than 45 minutes. I would certainly recommend this business to anyone.

A few months ago I was searching for an AC to put into my mother-in-law suite. I contacted 3 well known AC sellers in the community.Within a day I heard back from Ronnie Byrd at Ray Frenchs AC. He made an appointment for the next day. He was ontime and thoughtful about a solution that would work for my space. The space didnt fit the typical one where you might install a mini-split. He came up with a way to do it that is not typically done in residential settings. I received his quote and number to call with any questions. He patiently responded to each of my questions. The other two companies did respond with visits, but it took a week or more and some phone calls to get their quotes. I decided it was a no brainer and signed a contract with RF. The work was done within a week after signing and the folks doing it were terrific. Just recently there was a drainage problem and of course it was on a Sunday. I called Ronnie who told me to call the office number for someone to respond to the issue in person immediately. Within an hour the worker was here and spent quite a bit of time resolving the issue. Cost to me.... $0 since it was a new unit. I feel so pleased to have chosen RF who I can totally rely upon to do the right thing.

Just had my A/C go out and they were there in a couple hours. Luckily it was a quick fix and it was handled so efficiently. I really appreciate their rapid response. We noticed recently that our A/C unit didnt seem to be cooling like it should. I called and spoke with Angela at Ray French Air Conditioning about a service call. Within a couple of hours Chris, a technician was at our home. Chris was very thorough and professional in every way. He discovered a small freon leak in one of the lines. He repaired this leak and recharged our system. We weren’t charged, because the leak was in a soldering joint which was done when our new system was installed. Over the weekend our heating stopped. Monday morning I called Ray French and Rodney was at our house even faster than anticipated. He fixed the problem, serviced the unit and installed a surge protector since we suffer from continuously unreliable power supply. Recently, within the last year, Ive had 4 different companies come to take a look at my air unit. Each time, I was given an estimate, of at the very least $4k to fix the issue. Each time, I have chosen for them to do a temporary fix. This past time, I called Ray French and initially spoke to Melody. She said she could squeeze me in and get someone out the next morning. The next morning, Melody calls and says that if I am available, she could have a technician come to my house first thing. GREAT! The technician was friendly (cant remember his name) and after about 20 minutes of being there, had the issue figured out and was calling the office for the part needed. Within 2 hours, my unit was fixed and I didnt have to wait in the heat. Thanks Ray French and all who made my experience the best it could be.

Ray French did a complete install of a new home HVAC system that replaced a 25 year old system. They did a great job clearly explaining all my options and we picked a system that was a good fit for our house and I am very happy with the system. I thought the price was fair. AC crapped out while away from the house on a Saturday. The on-call that day, Dean, was very helpful and able to suggest a workaround that allowed us to have AC until my scheduled appointment on Monday.Dean was also the tech who came to the house to complete the repair and was first class. I was very happy with the service I received from this company.

Ray French has been taking care of the AC/Heat unit in this house for many years. Recently, the heat stopped working just before a very cold night. Shane Arthur came out the next afternoon, which was a Friday, and had to replace the blower motor. Despite being a late Friday afternoon, Shane didnt leave me hanging until the following Monday. He rushed to get the motor and had it installed quickly. Thanks to Shane, I havent had a problem since.

I always received good service from Ray French but was very disappointed today. I have an annual contract which is paid for in advance. The tech comes every 6 months, does general maintenance, changes the filter, and leaves a bill for the filter. I handle the finances and am working. My retired husband is at home. Today there was a repair and the bill was almost $200. The tech said it had to be paid right then. My husband explained that I always send in a check. Tech said there was a new policy and bills had to be paid at time of service. When I scheduled the maintenance appt I was not told this. My husband does not have the checks. He had to scrounge together enough cash to pay the tech and the tech had no cash for change. I called the office and complained and was told that there were no exceptions to this new policy - the policy I was not warned about in advance. This is no way to run a company. Unfortunately, due to this new payment policy, I will be looking for a new HVAC company.

We switched to Ray French Heating and Air in the past year to service our two furnaces in our home (one gas one a heat pump). The service man, John Adkins, was helpful in a number of ways. He suggested a valve that may save us (and the new owners) a flooding issue on the heat pump and pointed out that the gas furnace motor was out of warranty and is not one that can he easily fixed, as was true in the past. Two small services corrected both problems for the new owner who will close on this house in April.And, when I asked about the recommendations for size per sq ft on our new green building he called the office and got the latest recommendations that avoid buying systems that are too large and result in damp (moldy) homes. He also shared his preferences in terms of brands.I would recommend Ray French and Mr. Adkins to anyone looking for Heating and Air Services.

This is a terrific company. I have a service contract with them at my Gainesville house which entitles me to two free checkups a year....AC in the Spring and Heating in the Fall. Their service technician, Rod, did the AC check today and found it all in good working order. He was professional, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this company. They always call to confirm appts and call again when the service tech is on his way. A very considerate way to do business.

In October our air conditioning stopped working and Ray French was there to help us! They worked hard to salvage our old HVAC unit, but when that proved impossible we decided to purchase a new HVAC system from them. The owner came out and gave us fair estimates and provided clear descriptions of the different options. We followed his advice in our selection and have been most pleased! Our system is wonderful! Because our house is older, a number of issues came up during the installation. But the service crew handled them quickly and efficiently and called on experts when needed. In fact, the unit was installed within a day--even with a myriad of house related issues! Recently, Rod came out for the gas test and city inspection and made sure all went well. In sum, I fully and enthusiastically endorse Ray French for all your air conditioning and heating needs.

I am very unhappy with our experience. Our central air has not been working, so we had someone come take a look at it the week before last. They charged us over $250 and said that it was fixed. It wasnt! It still wasnt working the next day, but we had to wait to call them because they told us that there would be an emergency charge if they had to come look at it again since it was a Saturday. We waited over the weekend, then called them, and they couldnt get to us until two days later. Now they say that something else is broken and that its going to cost us $750 to fix, even though our AC is still under a warranty for the parts. At least $500 of the quote they gave us is just for labor. I have no idea how that can be possible. Why did we pay them $250 to fix nothing?

Rod Wies from this ac company came out and had to really go after my unit. It is hard to reach and stubborn. 2 busted capacitors later, (which he showed me in amps) and my unit was singing cold again. This guy is not afraid to get dirty and dug everything he needed to inorder to access my parts. He did have to dig in ground. Ac is ice cold. Technician arrived within 25 minutes of service call. They have always done me well. I always call them.

Had a new HVAC installed in April 2016 just had my 6 month checkup. Rod checked the system and installed a surge protector. The service was great and love the HVAC. Rod was knowledgeable and professional very pleased highly recommend Ray French.

Last week, I realized my air conditioner wasnt cooling. I called Brinnick Air (who installed my air conditioner two years ago). I was informed that Nick Pino, owner of Brinnick Air had bought Ray French Heating and Air. Ray French would be very proud that behind his name still remains honesty, hard work, and satisfied customers. The same day I called, I was able to get an HVAC technician--George, who was friendly and a hard worker. He found a clog and flushed it out. He showed it to me; it was impressive. LOL. Yesterday, a week after the initial service call, however, I came home to find the inside temperature to be 86 degrees. I called this morning and spoke to Kristin who immediately set up an appointment for today between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. The technician was able to come earlier and Janine even called to ask if that was ok. Seth was the technician today. He was polite, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to see that there was more of a clog than first thought. He rerouted the electrical switch so that it would shut off (I think) if it got clogged up again. The call was only $43.00 I was so happy I bought a service agreement (which I should have anyway with a house full of cats and dogs). Thanks to everyone. I tell everybody about the service and honesty of your company. Give everybody a raise!!!

After having multiple ac companies out to my house the A/C technician from Ray French was able to diagnosis and repair my ac and my headache! They were on time and friendly, I cant say enough good things about them, they are the only company Ill call form now on!

We got our old A/C unit (actually Heat Pump) unit replaced by a new one by Ray French. They had installed a Goodman Heat Pump unit GSZ130301 along with the Air unit ARUF30B14 installed on May 15th, 2014.2014 July 30th the unit stopped working. Ray French was called and they did come promptly. However, the explanation of the failure that was given to us was FOUND ANTS UNDER CONTACTOR POINTS. We were billed $69 for this call.If a brand new installation of a brand new unit starts to fail in about 2 months then it does not speak well of Ray French. It is either bad installation or manufacturing defect. I was asked to contact the Manufacturer to complain. I didnt buy it from the manufacturer. Ray French did. It was their moral duty to talk to the manufacturer and look for permanent solution. That also does not speak well of the service Ray French provided.We just hope and pray that the unit doesnt break again.
