Where do I start??? (Brian Cass) is beyond amazing! Hes patient, kind, informative, detail oriented, and overall truly cares about helping people. He asked questions about the car I didnt think to ask. He made sure my car was in top condition, and that I was fully covered for my full 3 years if any issue with my vehicle were to arise. I appreciate him taking the time to give me tips on how to improve my credit! He also helped me to come up with a refinance plan to get a better rate though my credit union in 7 months. The car buying/financing experience was very easy and the staff was very helpful. The car was extremely clean. My only concern is that three of the four tires are worn. The car does have one new tire installed. **Update** Carmax replaced the three worn tires and completed an alignment as well. This is the best car buying experience I have had.

I already knew the lowest price I was comfortable accepting for my trade in... and CarMax hit it on the nose! I took my offer to 4 other dealerships and half didn’t come close! The other two would match it ONLY IF I bought a car from them. Would definitely come back to CarMax!! Was a no hassle kind of experience! They gave me their top offer without all the haggling back and forth. Easy, painless. WoW! What a busy place......had an appointment but that really didnt seem to matter. They were taking everybody as they walked in. If they ran it like the DMV where appointments help those that schedule them it would of been a better experience, all that said. Employees were courteous and helpful and made the best of a chaotic situation. Carmax gave me a very good price on my vehicle so I waded through the process to completion. Just a heads up, they are busy!!!

If the price is set, the paperwork is done in advance, why would it take 6 hours to complete a purchase?!?! The gal helping us was basically rude, they had to run my credit twice jacking up my FICO score, and this was all done and approved before we even walked in the door. We will NOT be buying a vehicle from them every again!!

We went to car max to sell a vehicle. We pre-set an appointment and were seen promptly. The appraisal was completed within an hour with a price higher than we anticipated. The scheduling issue came when it was time to complete the deal and get the payoff check. There was over a 2 hour wait to finalize. The company is great, but the Fresno branch really has a problem with scheduling and letting business get backed up. I would go again with he expectation that it will take all day.

The only downfall was the EXTREMELY long wait to receive our check. We did have an appointment and everything moved pretty fast at the beginning. Make an appointment for test drive only to find out they allow 20 other appointments at same time without help to cover all of their customers. Bought a car from carmax, was super excited to get it. Upon receiving the car, it had two major scratches. One one the side of the car and one on the back. When I mentioned it to them as I was picking up my car, they made sure I was aware that I would indeed get a free detail and get all those scratches polished out. I keep trying to make appointments to do that and no one wants to answer in the service department. I have called 8 times now in the last two weeks and every time I have left a message and no one has gotten back to me. I also wanted to add in how once I got my car, the very next day I was filling it up with gas- my maintenance light came on. So much for that β€œ360 check” carmax. Do better.

Where do I even start? OK we’ve been here a good 3 to 4 times and they’ve been very helpful. But today was a whole different story. We drove an hour to get our car appraised to sell to them and waited over an hour and a half AFTER OUR APPOINTMENT TIME. we went to see what was taking so long and they said they closed at 7 and all the appraisers left. Mind you they checked us in and claimed they called my husband’s phone. (No one called, no one texted) Not one sorry just a shrug and a walk away. NEVER AGAIN!

It was at 1:30 I got there early to check in 1:30 came and passed. They told me they did not know how much longer it would be. Never go there if your time is important to you, because it surely isnt important to them. Worst car buying experience ever. I did buy a car from a company that was eager to earn my business. The price to sell my car was great, but nothing else was. I was not greeted when I arrived and could not figure out who to talk to. When I figured out who to talk to they briefly pointed to another person and continued the conversation they were having with their friend. I had a preapproved internet offer. They test drove my car and said it would take about 30 min. That soon complete AND THEN they turned me over to the business office. I WAITED OVER 2 HOURS to receive my check. When I looked at people who were supposed to be processing paperwork they were casually talking to each other and few were actually working. Many other folks had been waiting a long time also. Not to mention, the drink machine was broken and it was over 100 degrees outside. Then to top it off Car Max has canceled its courtesy ride service so I had to call an Uber to go home after selling my car. It was a horrible experience. There was no concern for me and I was treated like dirt. If I had been the boss many people would have been fired that day!

Sean in the Business Center scores a negative zero for customer service. He instructed me to have a check signed over to them so I drove to town and went to sign. Then he said oh we dont need you to sign we sent it as is to be cashed if it doesnt go through we will call you and you will have to fix it. It was his miscommunication and failed communication and he took no accountability. Should the check get returned I will be at my home address and he can drive here to fix it. Please look up mine and my husbands name. We purchased numerous vehicles from you and never had an encounter with someone so disrespectful as that piece of garbage.

The Way Car Buying Should Be I was so impressed with my CarMax buying experience. This just flat-out beats any of my previous dealership car buying experiences Ive had in the past. I have to say CarMax was truly a 100 percent hassle-free car buying experience for me! I made my purchase without even visiting a showroom floor, I was able to do my research and clearly view the car online through their amazing web site. They had lots of cars to choose from in the make and model I wanted, and when I had made my final selection I was equally impressed with my sales agent over the phone (Stephanie) she was perfect, explaining the buying process, and working with me to easily make the purchase. Never did they try to force an up-sell me on things I did not need, and the price you see is really the price you pay. They did everything exactly as they promised they would do. I even had my car delivered to my house free of charge. When I received the car it beat all my expectations, and the delivery took less than an hour to complete. I have been driving my new car now every day for almost a month and I just love this car. What a deal! This is by far the best purchase I have made in a long time. Thank you Stephanie and the CarMax Team, I will be a return customer the next time I need a vehicle.

Waited for hours! Was told 1 1/2 hour wait after given a written offer. Waited over 2 1/2 to sign 10 minutes of paperwork and get a check. Will never do that again. Son needed to sell and the offer was made and he was happy with it so I stuck it out. When I spoke with the manager he never apologized and just said I don’t have anyone available right now. Be prepared to wait a long time.

I will never again get a car from here. The manager was very rude and told me I didn’t need certain things what I had was perfect I get to the dealership and they tell me I need 3 paystubs instead of 2 and 3 months of bank statements. I got there at 11 and it is now almost 2 and they still can’t figure out my annual income. They have all the correct documents and it is taking 3 different people to figure it out. I will not use them again. The guy who helped me was very nice and just kept apologizing for the wait he gets 4 stars

What’s the point of reserving when you’re just gonna give it away! So i called toyota of clovis and asked to test drive a newer camry, drove there instantly and was ACCOMMODATED RIGHT AWAY, 3 hrs later i drove home a 2020 camry SE, this place is very unorganized, you need to get your sh*t together or else you’ll start to lose clients. I jad all my paperwork in tact. I was not financing. Eveything on my end was done and provided for by about 3:20. Its 7:40 now and ive been waiting several hours for someone so we can sign the final documents. I have seen people arrive after me and leave beforehand. This service is a joke. Over 5 hours and still waiting.

I like the no fuss of purchasing at CarMax but they really need to get better organized. It easily took a minimum of an hour each time we were there. We came for a test drive that took them over an hour to schedule...even though we had a set time to come in and sign the paperwork. We then were purchasing the vehicle and again...we had a set time but the paperwork was not ready ... its as if we had just decided to buy a vehicle off the lot. We had already paid $1,300 to have the vehicle shipped to our CarMax so if we said we were going to purchase, then the likelihood of us backing out was almost nil with that much already invested. Our CSR was great. He was really good about calling us to check on things, I just think they could move more people in and out by being more organized.

Our sales rep was awesome and everything completed within a half hour of arrival. The finance office was the worst! We arrived for our 10 am appointment right on time. We completed everything by 10:30 am... then the roadblock! The business office got everything handed to them and we sat for hours! We didn’t else a signer until 2:30 pm and she was the rudest woman I’ve ever encountered. She didn’t want to answer questions or explain anything I was signing, she told me to just sign!!! She even held out on lunch! She was super sweet! Although I received a very fair price for my vehicle, I was very upset with having to wait for over 4 hours to conduct a 10 minute processing period. It seems the office was either very poorly managed or way understaffed. Not sure which, but neither is good
