I found Dennis about 10 years ago after an exhaustive search. his shop is always busy for a reason. theres no more fair honest and hard-working auto technician in the San Joaquin Valley. today his son Trevor runs the shop and that kid is cut from the same exact cloth as his father is. make an appointment with them, you may have to wait a while, but its worth it.

Had the bottom part of my car fall off and they fixed it ! For cheap! Love them and will be back

Great first impression! I purchased a 2014 Prius and had Dennis Auto do an inspection. They were very thorough. I appreciate that they sent photos of the car to me in their report. I was led to try Dennis’ Auto Repair for my 2008 Honda Odyssey because they had stellar customer service reviews, they were a small business, and I didn’t want to take my van to the dealership. Colleen was very friendly, professional, she remembered my name upon sight, and in the middle of a pandemic and thus most importantly- she demonstrated exemplary safety measures. After analyzing my van, Trevor walked me through what repairs were needed but could wait, what should be replaced sooner, and what should be replaced now. Considering the age of my van and the current market value of it, I appreciated the levels so I knew what I needed to focus on. I intend on returning to this business to finish necessary repairs. They have earned my trust.

I paid nearly $200 for them to diagnose the problem with my truck. They did no repairs and didnt bother to write out what the codes were nor what was wrong. Basically, they scammed me out of $200 and did absolutely nothing. I got nothing out of it at all. Apparently, they think they should be paid to do nothing. I advise you to go there if you like to be robbed. I for one, dont have money to flush like this. I feel used.* edit* the response from Dennis Auto references things not associated with me or my vehicle. I brought my vehicle in for emissions repair. Not tires or aftermarket anythingI am not surprised that even now, they havent got a clue who I am and how they cheated meSmh.

I didnt go there but I called to get some advice. They were very helpful and did not suggest that I get something that I didnt need. Kudos to them for being honest.

I was recommended Dennis Auto Repair years ago by a coworker but never made it in. The name came up while I was googling Auto Repair for my Scion xB and I figured I would heed the advice finally. Called in and was given a number for Smog Repair voucher, as my vehicle was in need of a smog this year and the check engine light was on. Long story short, my vehicle passed smog and the repair voucher took care of the cost! Now thats a way to start the new year. Colleen was a consummate professional and a pleasure to speak with. Car was in and out. Needless to say but theyve definitely earned my business moving forward.

Never had a bad experience with them in over a year, and Im always happy to know I have knowledgeable folks working on my vehicle. I needed my driver side low beam fixed. I called Dennis Auto Repair and Trevor is definitely a nice person and helped me pick a date for an appointment. To be fair he did inform me the diagnosis was going to be $170 but I assumed it was gonna be the outright price. Of course once I actually was presented with the bill of a diagnosis I was a bit confused as to why it was so much money just to look at a burned out light bulb. I want to emphasize here that I gave them all the same information about my issue that they later reiterated back to me with their $170 diagnosis. I told them it was an HID light that was aftermarket and that it went out. I already knew this information beforehand so I kind of felt a bit cheated since I paid $170 for them to tell me the same issues I already suspected.To actually swap out both 3rd party HIDs back to OEM lights was a decent price which was $125. This I would have been happy to pay for but definitely not an added $170 for a diagnosis I didnt really need.Keep in mind I literally watched a YouTube video and it didnt take much to find out I can simply open up the engine bay and see that my lights are aftermarket and HIDs. By no means am I an expert but with the minuscule knowledge about vehicles I was able to figure out what was wrong with my low beam light.Pros:> Nice People> Adequate Job> Reschedule appointmentCons:> $170 diagnosis (small jobs too)

They inspected my vehicle and informed me that there were no issues that needed to be fixed at this time. They did a total inspection and did not even charge me for the inspection. Extremely satisfied with my experience at Dennis’ Auto Repair. Original call-in was answered by Colleen who was quite courteous and professional. Upon arrival, she went over all of the details regarding an initial inspection of my Honda Civic and was able to accommodate me with shuttle service so I didn’t have to scramble for a ride.Later in the day, I received a text with a link that blew me away. The link took me to multiple photos of the inspection in progress. It was essentially a scrolling, visual checklist of...: what passed inspection, what needed future attention, and what needed immediate attention. All with close-up visual evidence and accompanying videos, all intended to fully inform the customer. My knowledge level about cars is far from expert, so this visual illustration sent to me during the inspection enabled me to better make an informed decision on how to proceed. This feature really differentiated them from my past experiences in a positive way.Trevor called me to discuss the inspection and was quite knowledgeable and professional and set up another shuttle with Tory (Tori?), who was also very personable and professional.To cap the experience, they even reduced my initial quote for the inspection which, from my perspective, lends credibility to their operation for their honesty.The catalyst for my initial call-in was the quantity of positive reviews, which proved to be trustworthy. WOW! My wife and I just moved over from the central coast so we are totally unfamiliar with any mechanics or anybody trustworthy, after 27 years on the Central Coast all those mechanics that I do know live there on the Central Coast.So my wife and I bought a 2012 Ford fusion about a year ago, well about two months ago the air conditioner, the backup camera and backup lights . So you can only imagine what its like with weather 100° and over. So I literally started praying and asking the Lord where do I take our car and as I opened up my browser and typed in the problem our car was having the webpage opened up,immediately Dennis automotive stood out to me amongst all the other auto mechanics, as soon as the peace of God continue to lead me,I knew I was supposed to take my car here.This may sound wild to some people but Im a minister of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and I live by faith in the Lord.My wife and I had been saving for that two months the air conditioner was broken, we had just enough money on a fixed income to get our car fixed and it had to be fixed the first time around we just did not have the money to go bouncing around from shop to shop This is where Dennis automotives repair absolutely shines this shop is like community and family where they actually got your back.The receptionist has great hospitality I was introduced to Dennis the mechanic and technician that would be working on my car.After two days Trevor accurately found the problem he found out that my air-conditioning my backup camera and my backup lights were all on one fuse and where the lights are in the back there was a bare wire that was grounding out on the back panel blowing the fuse and causing my air-conditioning, backup camera and backup lights not to work.Trevor replaced the wire the backup bulbs the fuse,recharged our air conditioner unit !Dennis automotive repair shop gave us a great price which was such a blessing to us it was so nice not to have any extra cost, we also had Trevor changed the oil rotated the tires, oh and thats another thing Dennis found one of my tires had a huge slice about 6 to 7 inches long on the inner tire tread which I am replacing that ASAP!thanks to Trevor for finding that 6 to 7 inch cut in our tire.Trevor Finding that cut in our tire could have literally saved our life or someone elses.Just to let you know how amazing customer services is here at Dennis auto repair, when I got my car back the windows were clean the car was clean it wasnt that dirty when I dropped it off,but they made sure it looked really sharp when I picked it up.So in all this Im saying our Lord Jesus Christ led me to an auto repair shop that has answers and solutions and professional customer service with professional skilled mechanics and technicians my wife and I can truly say we have a local mechanic and I would refer Dennis auto repairs to anyone and I dont say that lightly thats for sure.Thanks Dennis auto repairs and thanks to all my new friend that make Dennis auto repairs successful in what they do for they not only service cars but they serve the people.......

The customer service and communication was impeccable and even though I did not ultimately use the shop to make the repairs because of a shortage on funds I believe they are an ethical business that came highly recommended and I would recommend them.The cost to troubleshoot my car was reasonable and I would use them again for this.

Quoted me $4200 when I got same work done at a Les Schwab for $1100 the remainder amount Toyota said they would do for $900 so about $2k vs 4200k? Thats ridiculous!!! But other than that I have no complaints but that price had me looking up auto mechanic schools.. because obviously Im in the wrong profession.

They are great! Took my car in for some work on the bushels, etc. and Dennis Auto Repair did an amazing job. It didnt take long at all and they were very nice and professional about everything. I had them check out a steering issue in addition to addressing a problem with my temperature gauge, and they told me that I just needed a tire alignment. When I took my car to The American Tire Depot for an alignment, they inspected it and within 5 minutes they found that I needed new tie rods, that my control arms were cracked, and that my struts were leaking. I am very disappointed that I paid Dennis’ Auto Repair to do an inspection and that they were unable to find these issues...

Needed my A/C option control (to switch from vents to defrost, etc) repaired. Took it to Toyota which only gave me one option and that would cost me $550. Called this shop up and spoke with Dennis, he took a look at it and gave me two options to choose from saving me $430 dollars. He was honest, friendly and service was fast. Colleen up front is super sweet and when I got there to pay I asked about a smog situation and one of the mechanics checked it out right away and gave me some options as well. The shop is clean, very friendly environment, fast service and reasonable prices! I am so happy because now my little baby boy will get the air flow from the A/C to the back. Summer is coming. I brought in a Cat Clamp catalytic converter protection device I purchased after having my converter stolen from my Honda Element. I spoke to Dennis before bringing in my vehicle, and he was familiar with the device and had installed others. Dennis did an excellent job of installing the device. They were done before noon the same day. The labor charge was very reasonable. The service area was clean and well organized. I recommend Dennis Auto Repair, and I will visit them in the future for some maintenance items on my vehicle.
