The first time i went there I got dip nails and I had one pop clean off after a week. Never had that happen before with dip so I thought it was a fluke then went back for acrylics. Before 2 weeks was up I had 2 of the acrylic nails come off. The ladies there are very nice, but after those incidents I am not going back.

Update as of June 14, 2020.After months of not going anywhere I didnt deem as essential, Im glad I made the choice to go to Top Star today. I could see immediately they took the safety precautions serious; plexiglass partitions, face shields, and face masks. My temperature was taken upon arrival and I completed a consent form. Any concerns I initially had were completely relieved. Highly recommend!!Amazing team!!! Always nice, professional, and helpful!!!

Omgosh Vicky did my nails and she was super awesome, she did an ombré sns dip for me and it turned out beautifully!!! Not only that, she cared about what was healthy for my my nails! She is great, really relaxing and awesome environment!!

I have been visiting this nail salon for a while now! They have always done a fantastic job on both dip nails and gel pedicures. Their place is always clean, and they have a great staff. TCU students receive a discount off their services which is amazing! Vicky always does a great job for me, and she will also fix any issues for free if you come back to her!

I had a fantastic experience today. They were very thorough with facial waxing and took their time. They did my french manicure exactly how I like it..the deluxe pedicure was awesome..they used hot stones and massage and even gave me a design on my big toes...Love it here!!!

Loved it!!!!!I don’t know where to start this was my First time at this nail salon and I will forever be a loyal customer that the service was amazing they take their time and working on my nails making sure it was perfect no rush job here! They were just great I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my nails.... she recommended dipping nails since I wanted a natural look...which I completely loved !!!!! Im redoing my review because Top Star is now under new management, and has had major renovations to the space, decor and equipment. I observed excellent sanitation practices with their service which put me at ease. My Mom and I were very pleased with the results and everyone there was very courteous and the free refreshments were fabulous!

Are there fancier sleeker and more expensive nail salons out there? Of course. But what I want is a good solid manicure or pedicure at a decent price and thats what I get here. Ive been coming here for probably 4 or 5 years now and after being in this salon maybe 150 times Ive never known a salon that was more conscientious about making their customers satisfied. Example: Ive been in a hurry & left before my nails were dry all the way--only to mess them up later myself. When Ive offered to pay for fixing the nail which was my screw up--theyve refused saying they just want me to be happy. I was in the salon earlier today when the woman who wrote the negative review was in with her daughter. What was not said in the review is that the person working on her daughters nails asked her if she was happy each step of the way, and she said she was. It was only when it came time to pay that the uproar began, including a threat that if they were charged (for both daughter & mothers nails) they would file a bad review...and here it is. Not just me but other customers were appalled. The truth is the owners are sweet, hard-working, non-confrontational people. They work hard just to make customers happy--and at a price that is a super good deal. ONE more thing about my nails: theyre the only salon I know that has as an option the Vinylux line; when I have them apply this polish, it lasts as long as gel but doesnt require that my fingers sit under the lights (which I think is healthier). I get 2 to 3 solid weeks out of the polish and when I choose a neutral light color, you cant even see the growth. Very natural, only shiny.

As with any business, there are reviewers that have good and bad experiences. But Top Star Nails and Spa is the best nails salon in TCU area. It is very beautiful salon, clean, and friendly services . They do great job on Gel nails, Pedicure, Waxing, and Fake nails .They always use best products, and the price is very reasonable, and students discount, please come try them out .

Great service with efficient staff!

They were ill staffed and took me 30 minutes later than my appointment time. My acrylic nails are lumpy across the top, and the lady that worked on them was not careful in shaping them into ballerina nails like I had asked. To make it worse, she used tools from an open bag in her pocket that looked like they had been used several times since they were last disinfected if they ever even were and while I was getting my nails done the lady got up multiple times to go do something else and I never saw her wash her hands. All of their licenses are strategically placed behind things so that you cant read them which leads me to believe they are either out of date or fake, and overall it did not seem like a clean and welcoming environment. I will not be going back.

My favorite nail salon! Ken and Lisa have taken good care of me for over 10 years. Manicures, pedicures, waxing....they do it all. I currently do the shellac manicure which lasts a full two weeks. Please give them a try.

I just left Top Star Nails in Fort Worth and once again Vickie has done an amazing job on my nails. Love the color and the designs. This should be your only stop for getting your nails and pedis done. Top notch service and the shop is very clean and well sanitized after each client. Just look at the great job she did.

Worst place ever! My teenage daughter was getting her nails done today. They were shaped crooked, so she wanted them removed. The guy wouldnt remove them. He said there was nothing wrong with her nails. The girl that did my manicure painted my nails like an orange peel. Terrible service, disrespectful workers, awful salon! The owner had to remove my daughters nails and complained at us saying we were bad customers!!!! We still had to pay. Dont bring anyone here! I had to give them 1 star in order to review, otherwise it would be ZERO STARS

I usually get my nails done at a place in Houston that does shellac nails, but since I am back at TCU for school, I needed a new place. I came here and when I tried to explain what kind of nails I had, they quickly interrupted me and said I had acrylic, which was false. Anyway, the new color and GEL fill they gave me was fine, so I was not upset. However, one of my nails broke, and when I came back to fix it, they gave me an ACRYLIC when I said I didn’t have nor want it. Horrible listeners, money-hungry, and overall terrible service.

Top Star Nail is by far my favorite nail salon! It is under new management and they really know what they’re doing! From mani/pedis to waxing, I’ve never been anything other than 100% satisfied! Plus they serve wine and margaritas complimentary! I highly recommend this salon! If you need anything, the manager, Vickie is always there to take care of you!

Not bad but not good. Wont return because of quality of service provided. Also the atmosphere of the Salon kind of threw me off, it seems sloppy and drab. I got almond shaped acrylics and they were only so-so. Not worth the money $$. Returned to the place because I saw a sign that said Fake nails take off 5.00$So I went back assuming it was 5$, after taking my fake nails off I asked her not to cut my real nails, besides the fact she didnt listen to me and cut my real nails she did a horrible job at filing them down to make them even, they were busy at the time so I give her that and did not complain, but when I went to pay she charged me 10$ and I thought it was completely un-worth the price. Will not be returning.

I have been in search of a new place for pedicures, and after several attempts, I have found one! This place is very clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and gave an amazing pedicure!Pros: clean, affordable, friendly, great value for the cost! Complimentary drinks and foodCons: drink didnt taste likeamy alcohol was in it, tech spoke little English (not a big deal for me)This place was amazing....I got a $35 pedi and it was better than the $50 pedis elsewhere.

This nails salon is amazing and everyone is friendly .They do great on all services and they warranty if something happens you come back and they fix it for you, but I dont know why I still see some not very nice reviews.

I went in and has a new set of white tips applied. I was assured the clear coat would protect my nails from UV and keep the nails from yellowing. The nails are lifting, one has come off (just fell off) and the nails are all yellowed and look like Im a chain smoker covered in nicotine stains. Idk what the problem is but I have never had this happen before. I tried this salon because my sister recommended it. I am going back only to see if they will fix the nails by adding a new set and using uv protection and new materials. I hope they will apply a new set, as the yellowed set was just applied a little lover a week ago. If not, I will have wasted money that would be better spent at a salon that uses quality products.

They are pretty good tbh but how much does acrylics cost?

First time here and im a huge fan. Great service, they fit me in an hour to close for a gel change and pedi. Im am very picky with my nails and Minah did an excellent job! I had zero issues communicating what i wanted which is a challengei have had in the past at other nail salons. They are super busy so there was a wait but not bad for a late night walk in!

Wish I could give negative stars absolutely the worst place you can go to get your eyebrows done I went in with full eyebrows left with pencil thin eyebrows I will never return
