I had an emergency when a deep pothole broke the outer bead on a low profile front tire. There was no Dealer in the area and I was referred to Mathews by another tire company in the area as the only place that might be able to get a replacement. Scott was my guy who searched for a source and arranged to get a tire expedited to the store so I could continue my vacation. At first it looked like I would have to stay in the area for an additional three days to get the tire mounted. Instead it was done the day after I left the car. Throughout the process, Scott kept me informed of the progress and even made arrangements to ship the damaged tire to my home as I needed it to get the warranty satisfied.

Todd and everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. I work in Milwaukee and he got me in for a much needed tire change and alignment. He offered me their loaner car as well so I could run my errands while my car was being worked on. They do honest work and price is fair. This is my second time taking my car in for tune-ups, and I will definitely continue to bring my car here.

My tire pressure light kept coming on every few weeks. When I called to get it taken care of, they got me in right away and had it fixed before closing time, despite being extremely busy. Everyone was very kind and explained what was going on. We will definitely go there again!

Replaced valve stems on tires. Checked out my tires that are always loosing air. Cleaned off the wheels for any sharp places that could be rubbing on the tires. They suggested to do this service. I have been taking my vehicle there for 18+years. I am a single woman that needs help keeping up my car. Matthews of Fond du Lac have always been fair to me. They have suggested maintenance for my 2000 Toyota Rav 4 any time needed. Thank you fellas for taking care of my vehicle.

Had emergency situation with my vehicle. Although no appt, they looked at my car and diagnosed the problem between appts. My car did have to stay for 2 days for parts to be delivered, however, it WAS NOT THEIR FAULT.After the manufacturer delivered parts, Matthews Tires efficiently and professionally repaired my vehicle and it was ready for pickup same day. Todd, the entire office staff and technicians are to be commended for their professional work ethics. Work on the truck was great. Counter service was horrible. I spent 1600 on tires,alignment and inspection. Was treated like I was getting a free oil change. No explanation of how alignment was or anything also they made a mistake on paperwork and the guy huffed about having to fix. I have used them for over 10 years and always was ok spending a little more to go her because the service was always excellent. I always direct people to go here also. That has changed and honestly I will be looking elsewhere when the time comes for new tires. So sad another Fond du lac bussiness has fallen into a lack of care for their customers

On July 6, 2021, I went in for a LOF, tire alignment, headlight bulb, and an AC repair. The AC repair was more complicated than expected, as the van is a 2009 and the part needed is no longer available. So Alan ordered HVAC Control Module from a salvage yard and was able to repair it within 3 days. Now my AC works great, the headlight is bright, and the car tracks straight. They also gave me a loaner car for free while the van was getting fixed. Total cost for the services completed was $649.73. It is always costly to get a vehicle repaired.

The tech installed my tires incorrectly. It was a minor failure, but one that sticks in my craw. And it makes me wonder what else they would have done wrong had I required more service on my car.Many tires have a yellow dot on the outside face. The dot is a guide, telling the installer to line up the dot with the valve stem, meaning the dotted side should be facing outward. When the tire is balanced with the dot properly positioned, it will best compensate for manufacturing imperfections and offer the best result (smoothest possible ride).My dots were ignored. As a result, one tire was installed backward on its rim. Also, my steering wheel now has a slight but infuriating vibration at highway speeds, which likely would not exist had the dots been heeded. I will have it corrected somewhere else.When a novice could have done it better with the proper knowledge and attitude, Thats a red flag. I will not return.Side note: why does the owner only respond to 5-star reviews? Does he resent those who call out the bull?

We got a flat tire on the interstate heading out on vacation just 40 minutes from home. We called a number of other tire place that either did not have our tire size or wouldnt help squeeze us into their schedule. We called Matthews and they had our tire size in a Kelley tire at a very reasonable price. They were able to squeeze us in and had us back on the road in an hour. Very friendly and great service. Couldnt be happier.

The best place in fond du lac to go if you have any auto repair that needs to be done. They are a little pricey but if they know a place that is reputable and can maybe do it cheaper, they do suggest them. Always great and honest customer service.

Had a 1:00 appointment to have 4 new tires installed on my Yukon. They told me it would take roughly 2 hours. I go back 2 1/2 hours later to find my vehicle wasnt even started to be worked on yet. The sales rep. told me I didnt give him a deadline on the job ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!! DEFINITELY NOT returning for any service.

My wife took her car in to have her aluminum tire rims to be wire brushed so they would not slowly leak air. She was charged around $125.00. Soon after they were leaking air. Thats alot to pay for a half _ss job. To top it off they told my wife she needed all new tires. Her tires were fine. Like they say never let a woman go alone to a car repair shop.

These are the only professionals that I trust with my tires and suspension. Never had any problems with getting new tires mounted on my aluminum rims. They are always accurate with time estimates/cost estimates and will answer any questions about any aspect of your service.

I brought my car into mathrews to get a battery replaced that they sold me and first they charged me 45 dlollars to install the battery then as they broke my hood stating it was defected. They did not call me to assist them to open the hood they just broke it Said if you you did not want us to brake it you should have not come here. Are you kidding me right now. Do not bring your cars to Mathews if your car us not perfect or they will brake it and not care one bit. This place is a joke!!!!!

I called this morning to this tire dealership about replacing the tires on a vintage trailer in Fond du Lac prior to its being towed. The person I spoke with was very rude. I tried to explain to him that I did not know the exact size tires needed as I am in Maryland and could not visually see the tires for myself. He claimed I was trying to scam him (Im not) and demanded that I bring the trailer to him and he would put the tires on it.Again, I tried to explain to him that its not currently towable and could not be brought in to his place; I also told him I would be more than happy to wire the money for the tires to him. At that point, he hung up on me. I will NOT do business with them based on the way I was treated and will take my business elsewhere to someone whos willing to work with me. I urge other customers to take their business elsewhere. This individual wasnt even willing to go out to the site to get the correct tire size even though its in Fond du Lac. If theyre not willing to bend over backwards to help potential customers, then they do not deserve your business, period!

Their services techs are not properly trained and the manager Todd is terrible with customers. They didnt remove the old weights before balance. Then they pounded weights on the outside of my new black rims. Looks terrible and completely scratched up the rims. When I complained to Todd that the balancing was done incorrectly he told me that its a common complaint and I need to specify how I want it balanced. Their techs shouldnt need to be told the proper way to balance. I didnt go there to tell them how to do their job but apparently thats what they expect. Ignoring the fact that they ruined my rims all I wanted was the balancing to be redone the proper way. Todd wasnt even willing to make it right. I would definitely be given a negative 5 star review possible. Worst service I have ever had. Dont go there unless you feel like telling them how to do their job. I refer 3 calls a day to them. It kills me to say this but every call that comes to my shop is getting refered to Pomps.

Charged me $700 for an oil change, and front brake pads, rotors, and calipers after quoting me $570 over the phone (which I still think is pricey and should have refused service then but just wanted the job done), claiming they didnt tell me pricing on the phone and that I kept talking over them on the phone, which was not the case. Then they tried to tell me that my card transaction didnt go through and I needed to put my card in the reader again even though my bank showed the amount deducted from my account immediately. Then tried to tell me that tires that I had replaced 2 months prior with maybe 2000 miles on them were nearly bald and needed to be replaced.

Just posted this to my Facebook Wall! Shout out to my guys at MATTHEW TIRE for their help yesterday by fixing my flat tire situation by fitting me in to the schedule at 3 in the afternoon. The cause... corrosion on the rim was causing a problem for the tire to adhere. Or something like that. Thankfully I became aware of it (the flattening tire) as I drove home from work instead of going out at 11:00 pm that same night to go back to work and having it totally flat and no one open and no one appreciating an SOS call that late!!I feel the guys at Matthews have saved me several times and I appreciate the security of knowing that I can count on them to be honest, friendly, knowledgeable and THERE.

Had my tires balanced and rotated there since I bought them there Dec 2016. They aligned it at that time abut didnt bother telling me that the way my alignment is set up, tires wont last long. So anyway, tires are now all worn on inner edges. He says its not because of the alignment but because all Audis wear tires like this. NO THEY DONT. My last set didnt. So I leave after the balance etc and my car now shakes at 25-30mph and at 55-60. It pulls right and the low tire pressure light is on. I go back and he starts saying how it could be this, or it could be that.....I ask if he road tested the car after my repair. He says no, we never do that. Why would we?? How about to quality check your work.....So if you dont want your repairs verified before you leave, continue to go here. If you want quality tested work, go to your local dealership where they train their techs and advisors to actually care about the work they produce. Just read a few other reviews and they like Todd Steffes about as much as I do. Condescending......

I checked out a few places around town when my wifes BMW had a nail in one of the run flat tires. After speaking with people from various places around town, I chose Matthews Tire for their courtesy and professionalism. I decided to replace all of the RFTs with a new set of non-RFTs. The prices on the tires here are comparable to Tirerack, and they were able to get my new set unto my car the very next day.I had expressed concern of the alloy wheels getting scratched when the run flat tires are being removed to Joe, who immediately took me to the garage and showed me that they had the latest machine for the job. He then went over to the technician and asked him to be careful when removing our run flat tires. I highly recommend taking your Audis, BMWs and all other luxury cars here whenever you need a tire patched and plugged, or replaced. Ask for Joe at the front and he will take care of you and give you multiple options and recommendations.Afterwards, I spoke to my technician, Derek, and he stated he didnt run into any problem removing the RFT at all. He seemed very comfortable working with them, so Derek comes highly recommended for the job. There were no scratches on my wheels. They still look brand new. Well done guys!

Tried to charge my wife $300 to replace a tire that had a tiny hole from a finishing nail. Then they tried to sell her 3 more brand new tires, saying that they were concerned the treads wouldn’t match up (car was brand new with only 10,000 miles on the tire). Instead of paying $1200, took the tire to a shop down the road and had the hole plugged for $16. Go figure...
