Very unprofessional. The female barber grabbed my 3 year old by the arm to be seated as I was seated in the chair getting my haircut. I DID NOT give her permission to grab my child. I am upset and appalled. I do not recommend their business. This business has lost my respect. I am never coming back.

Ive been coming here for 3 years now and as long as I live in Flagstaff I wont go to another barber!! Felipe, his wife Anel, and Jose are an AMAZING team!! You will leave there feeling fresh and confident with a new haircut! Ive never been unhappy or dissatisfied leaving! This place used to be good, until today. Went in for a simple fade, came out with a super high fade and chop up top. This happened more than once, 4 times now. All 4 times, I paid for a bad haircut. Kept telling myself It will get better. Metro may have long wait times, but worth it.

Fair prices. Good haircuts. Ive been 3 times and there was always a line, but it moves quickly. I cant wait until they can do beards again.

Dont go here. The lady cant even do half of the haircuts they display they were rude. 26 dollars for a 7 year olds hair cut!! 🙄And then their response? Thats disgusts me! Should call and make sure they are even legal to work in this state.

Easily one of the best barber shops in flagstaff. If you dont enter a barber shop and see a waiting list for an hour, then you know its not that high quality of a shop. Here you can expect hours some days, but just put your name down and return in the time frame recommended. Felipe is the best barber Ive ever had and have been coming to him for 4 years now. Nobody in flag compares to him, the best fade and cut you can ask for, perfect everytime.

Overall I like this place they gave me a good haircut the only thing I didn’t like is because of Covid they are not doing beard trims. Besides that they’re pretty top-notch I would go again.

Waited 15 minutes after opening before someone actually showed up. Completely ignored where I wanted my kids part, which I had already combed in-. Despite me repeating it 3 times. Did an all around bad job. It seems like they only know how to cut Hispanic/Native American hair. I have no idea how they have such good reviews, unless its just fake reviews or bots.

Was told I needed a mask, went got a bandana thats all I had. Was waiting for an hour and my mask started to creep down and was told to pull it back up over my nose by Anel. Anel called me to the chair and said I need a different mask like this one I said I dont have one like that and she said I can buy one, I dont want to buy one I have this one. She got frustrated and told me I wont be able to get the back of your head because of the mask I have. I said it can be pulled down in the back so you can cut back there. She got more frustrated and said sit down and began to cut my hair very vigorously and rough, so rough at time it hurt and had to pull away. Very unprofessional and uncalled for.

First time haircut in flagstaff. Insanely rude people. Not a bad haircut but explained to the person we had a little communication error cause they did something I did not like and he asked me to try another shop next time.I was as polite as could be explaining what happened and that it was no big deal and only hair. Apparently you have to do it their way and cant have an opinion on your own body

Easily the worst haircut and service I’ve received. Not only did he give me an awful haircut, nothing was even, square, or level, but he complained when I asked him to fix what was supposed to be a 5 on top. What’s more, they were talking badly about me in Spanish while I was in the chair, not knowing I can understand. I have been here once before and my experience was much the same. Try anywhere else in flagstaff before you try this place.

This is definitely the place to go ! I live in Surprise and was only in flagstaff for my nephews birthday and my sister has a friend that works at Great Clips and swore to me that she is the best. It was the worse haircut my 18 month old son has had.Jessica at the barber shop noticed right away how terrible it was. She saved it and took her time. Very friendly and respectful staff. I waited about an hour but it was well worth the wait.

This barber shop continues to be the best one on the west side of Flagstaff.

Called an hour before going in requesting an appointment at 1pm for a haircut with anel. She said that was fine. I show up 15 minutes before and she is cutting someones hair. No problem they are done right at one. I go to sit down and she says no appointments there are 2 ahead of you. What? This is not the first time they have put others in front of me. The first I was a walk in and someone else that came in after Sat down before me stating they had an appointment. On top of a pricey cut that is just ridiculous.

Jose cut my son and my hair. Best cut I have had in my year + in Flagstaff. The only reason it is not five star is because it is walk in only, which can make it tough to get in if you choose a busy time. Great job though.

Ok so Phoenixx does an excellent job with hair, no doubt. I love getting my boys hair cut there. However, be prepared to wait. Even if it isnt crowded, which it usually is, the wait is still long. Worth the wait but keep your plans for afterward, flexible.

I got an amazing cut! Their attention to detail is incomparable. I would give a 5 except 2 of the 3 stylists showed up 30 to 40 minutes late and they arent super talkative.

I said 2 in off the top, got cut 5 inches more than necessary, they’re really good at cutting hair but not with my type of hair. (Curly hair). Asked for one thing got a completely different haircut than expected. Wait time is long.

Wanted to get a quick trim before my business trip so I called Phoenixx Barber Shop and was told the wait was 15 minutes. Arrived at the shop and signed my name on the sheet. 45 minutes went by and my name was called. The barber then stated that he cant cut long hair, do you mind waiting for another barber. I was not upset at the time at all, but after another 45 minutes I couldnt stay any longer. Not to mention.. during the time I was waiting I watched the employees take non-business calls. I walked out.Update after owners response: Still truthful and poor response to an unhappy potential customer.

Worst haircut I have ever had. The results were trash. I left after the haircut a cool 2 hours later and they werent busy whatsoever. They gave someone a haircut right when they walked in and I had been sitting to get mine for about an hour by that point. The barber that I had couldnt do a fade correctly. He couldnt line me up for his life and he cut my skin a good 4 times. This is the first and last time I would come here.

I have been getting my haircuts at the same barber shop in sedona for years. Ive had some pretty bad haircuts so Im hesitant about new places. I didnt get the gentlemans name who cut my hair but he was really awesome. He took his time and was very friendly. I love the fade. I will be back.

DONT EVER GO TO THIS SHOP!!! Very disrespectful. I’m a person who has great integrity. So don’t assume this is a lie. The time, they did my cut great, I liked it, but the second they messed up badly and I was upset but didn’t show very aggravated response or I didn’t raise my voice. I can for the third time and they refused my service and said I can’t cut your hair. This is the owner who said this to me. Told me to go to another shop, so I told him that other barbers shop are on other side of town. He didn’t seem to care. So I asked another barber right next to him and answered for him and said “he can’t cut your hair too”. I said are you really going to refuse service? He just walked a way from me so I walked out.

I was there before opening time, yet the employees finally showed up about 10:15. It was 10:30 before they started cutting hair. Then after called, I asked if I could get a trim on my beard. I was told no, we are too busy. Not my fault you showed up late. Then the same barber got all upset when she said she was finished and I showed her where my hair was uneven from side-to-side. I have never been back and never will.

I have been going to this barber shop for almost a year now... I have noticed many times the 2 owners (husband & wife) be rude to customers as well as gossip about customers while using Spanish, so others cannot understand. (I speak Spanish) I have also witnessed occasions of them being rude to their own employeees. Not to mention that they are 15-20 minutes late to work everyday and have people outside waiting on them. Decent haircuts. Poor customer service. If you think I’m lying about anything, read the rest of the reviews before judging. ALSO, if you read the responses the owners have towards some of these posts it will reveal the true people that they are. (I’m sure the owners will now be deleting their comments on bad reviews very quickly)Today, I was basically denied a haircut by the two owners when I did not want to get my hair cut by another barber because I was not pleased with the last one he gave me. They kept feeding me excuses as to why they wouldnt be able to cut my hair for a while so I might as well cut it with him and I refused and said “are you kidding me “. The wife began to speak to me disrespectfully as if I haven’t been spending these outrageous prices on a haircut from these people for the past year. Never been to a barber shop that has been so rude to customers and employees in my entire life. If you are looking to save time and money.. DO NOT come to this barber shop unless it is your last resort. Also, if I was lying I would not be wasting my time warning the public about this shop.

Barbers are decent at their craft, provide customer satisfaction & price is cheaper than other barbershops around Flagstaff! Wait time is the only downfall, but the cut is worth the wait! Highly recommend to others.

Only decent place in town to get a consistent mens haircut for 22 bucks after tip. Youll wait for about 30 min before hand, but its worth it.

I have gone to this place 4 times now and every time Ive gone theyve had some violent, disturbing show on their 2 large TV screens. I know this is a manly barber shop but I really wished they would be more selective and professional with what they choose to have on their TV screens. It upset me because it was having a negative impact on my teenage kids. I looked around and there was younger kids there and the mom had to cover her childrens eyes. Just tacky and inconsiderate.

Honestly I dont know how this place has five stars. I went in and the girl who cut my hair wasnt paying attention to what she was doing at all. She literally picked up her cell phone and answered a phone call while she was cutting my hair. She turned me away from the mirror so she could talk with her friends and face them. I couldnt see what she was doing because she wouldnt turn me towards the mirror. I wouldve asked her to change what she was doing if I could have seen because I ended up with a really bad haircut.

Owner, was a little late today but some things came up that is sometimes out of our control. End result was a fantastic cut, glad i stuck around to get my cut.

There was a 45 minute wait, he didnt ask what I wanted, he didnt show me what he was doing to my hair, and he stopped 3 times to take a personal phone call! Now Im stuck with something I do not want. Tl;dr: Great place to get a haircut, very skilled barbers and lots of options. Reasonably priced. But if you feel uncomfortable around primarily spanish speakers that cinsiatently speak spanish look elsewhere.I liked the many options that were available to me to get my hair cut, but the only downside was the fact that only one of the on duty Barbers spoke English well enough to converse with me and to explain to her friends what I wanted to do. Even though I understand the majority of what they were saying in Spanish I dont have the confidence to respond back to them, so it was relatively difficult for me to feel comfortable there. But the haircut was good and I would likely go back there again if I could use another one. they did a relatively good job of trying to keep the place clean and they were relatively swift about their service.
