I never review anything negative regarding businesses but I definitely felt like I needed to post this for my nail people. I went to Aura Nails 2 in Fairfield and I am never going back. I got acrylic, shellac done ten days ago and it’s already peeling!! This should and has never happened with acrylic in my experience. PLUS, it’s lifting near my cuticle where my hair is getting caught in it. He also rushed through the entire thing and was more worried about his future appointments rather than the person sitting in his chair.

One of the best nail salons Ive ever been to! Very professional and friendly! Took such great care of my daughter and her friend! Thank you for making our visit so pleasant!

Although a bit ruff in the beginning trying to explain what I wanted…I am very happy with the results, the price, and mostly with the hard work, time and attention Phong gave me (and my nails).

This experience was terrible and unprofessional. I wasn’t happy with the quality of the work and she says it’s because I don’t want to pay.Thumbs down 👎🏽…I was very much offended. I will continue with what I know in going to Ambiance in West Chester. Paying isn’t the issue. The poor quality was. My nails were uneven and the polish was sloppy. Not all of the staff behaved rudely-however I will not be back and I do not recommend.

I went to Aura Nails & Spa II on a Sunday afternoon because my normal nail salon is closed on Sundays. I did not have an appointment so I anticipated to wait a little bit; no trouble. I wanted a full set of gel acrylic nails; my go to. The lady at the reception desk told me that it would be a long wait since they did not have another tech, and that the SNS powder would be a better alternative. I had never tried the SNS so I was hesitant at first. I went ahead and told them SNS was fine and that I would wait for another tech that was on her way in. I was told that it might be 20 or 30 minutes so I picked my color, and just went down the strip to another store to kill some time. They called me after the tech was in, so I went back and they seated me. The tech was very quiet, and with masks on, I could barely hear what she was saying so I had to ask her to repeat what she said a few times. After she put the tips on my nails with the nail glue, she kept getting her own nail stuck to mine, and even her hand. Not a huge deal, but I thought it was weird that she done it more than once (Im not sure if she just thought the glue was dry or what). Anyways, after she dipped my nails, there was a small bump on my left index finger that I thought she would fix, but she didnt. Overall, I thought that my first time there would be a little better than it was based on reviews and clients that were already in the salon. My tech made my two middle fingers bleed, and the lengths are completely off from each other. I also still have some nail glue on the sides of my fingers, and some nails are thicker than the others. I will not be returning here, nor will I be getting the SNS powder again. I think Ill stick to my acrylic gel nails. Oh, and my nails cost me $60, so I dont think that my services were worth that much. Hope this review helps someone decide which salon they may go to. I added pictures for reference, this was about a half hour after I left the salon.Update: Here it is less than 2 weeks since my nails were done and 2 have popped off!! UGH

I made an appointment and still had to wait an extra 30 minutes. We went on a Sunday, which I understand can be hit or miss, but not even a word was said. The gal that did my pedicure was great, but my friend got a sns dip and it looked horrible. It looked like she rushed the job and gave no regard to what it looked like. I asked if they could be fixed and she straight up told me no until I asked her to remove it then. She buffed out the nails while she was on the phone. I wont be back.

I’d give it zero but that’s not an option!The time it took for a fill in wasn’t worth the energy of sitting. Owner not friendly and nails are BELOW average. Won’t be back.

I came to Aura 2 nails and spa and they fixed my nails so beautifully ♥️ I will be recommending this nail salon to all of my friends and family. On the day of 07/22/20, I received SNS service from one of the male technicians at this business for the first time. My nails looked great leaving the appointment, however by the weekend I noticed that the polish started to crack on a few nails. SNS is supposed to last for 3 weeks and Ive been getting this service for the past 5 years so I know that within less than 5 days, the polish shouldnt be cracking. By that next Monday (07/27/20) a third nail actually chipped so I had to file it because it kept snagging onto things but then by 07/29/20, those two nails that were cracking began to chip. Again, a good SNS set should never do this within less than a week. Its known to last 3 weeks.On 07/31/20 at around 1:40pm, I called this business and told the receptionist what has been going on so she made me an appointment to come to get my nails fixed that day. I got the appointment around 2pm and spoke to the receptionist again and she looked at my nails and saw that they were chipped. She took me over to Chip (who I didnt know was the manager at the time and he was not the guy that initially did my nails), she showed him my nails and I told him that my nails need to be completely done over because 3 nails at this point had chipped. None of my nails were broken except for one but it was already broken and a had nail tip on it from when I had got it done from the guy who did this SNS set.Chip agreed to redo my nails and in the midst of him doing my nails, he began to complain to me about his receptionist and how she needs to stop eating McDonalds fries and diet cokes (assuming he was trying to call her fat) and that she wasnt doing great at her job and wanted to fire her. I laughed uncomfortably and took note of this behavior. During that conversation, I learned he was the manager.When he fixed my nails, he was trying to charge me full price and I didnt agree with being charged anything due to this being the techs fault that my nails were chipping. Chip got really nasty and started yelling at me. Even after I agreed to pay, he was still trying to argue with me and I even told him to leave me alone as the receptionist was ringing me up but he kept going at me, I mean I was even walking out the door and he was still going at me. I was done arguing with him when I agreed to pay. He called himself giving me a discount but I should have never been charged. I only paid because Im black and do not need the cops called on me if I had walked out without paying or continued to argue with that guy. The customer service here is terrible and the fact that the manager could talk bad about his employee put a bad taste in my mouth and showed how unprofessional he is. I did report them to the better business bureau.P.S. I do not have pics of the third nail that was chipping because I had already filed the nail. It had chipped on the edge of my nail so filing it allowed me to disguise the chip.

My favorite nail salon all around. Chip is my favorite. He does an amazing job. The place is always clean. They always welcome you with a smile. My nails look amazing after. They take their time and want you to walk out with quality.

Ive been shopping around all morning for a new nail salon and I found this amazing place. I decided that Im going to Aura Nails, so I came around 1215pm and left around 120pm on 12/28/19. I had the most amazing experience with SARAH. She was so amazing I would highly recommend her. She did my full set gel nails for New Years and they turned out better than I expected. I will definitely be back every 2 weeks for my fill in.

Paid $65 for just sns manicure with tips YESTERDAY.... already broken today. Thick and awful.

I had the most wonderful pedicure from Quinn, truly out of this world. The salon is very clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that I booked 3 pedicures to be done together for my Moms birthday and all of our pedicures were started at different times.

This place is amazing! I went there today and Maria did a wonderful repair on my nails. She has such good energy and talks to you the whole time to make you feel comfortable! My nail polish was done perfectly and she made sure I was happy with it. I’ll go back to no other salon but this one !

Great experience.

Poor management and unorganized. The nail techs are running around trying to answer phones and greet customers, leaving you sitting in their chair while they do this. The gentleman that works there has a bad temper and gives of really bad vibes. I have given this place several chances. The first couple of times I came in, it was great. The last 3 times Ive had chipped and broken nails a few days after. They will fix the nails, but its a pain and shouldnt happen. I went in today and felt like the job was rushed. I have nail polish on my skin and uneven nails. I may try again in a few months, because it is a convenient location for me. To say the least, I feel like its going to be hit or miss every time for good service and a good manicure.

This has been one of the best nail salons I have experienced that is up until today. I frequent this shop as it is close to my home and the atmosphere has always been very inviting and to mention I have the bomb technician that keeps my nails right all the time. Her name is Maria-she is hands down the best and makes you feel special every time you sit in her chair. However from my knowledge they are Under New Management that are not doing a very good job keeping their clientele rather pushing them out. I have always brought my daughter there with me and she gets her nails done with me too she is 3 years old but she is very mature for her age and loves going.She is attached to Maria and calls her Auntie RiRi😀However today I was addressed by the receptionist saying that the management had requested for her to tell me can you turn the phone down that my daughter was watching well I was getting my nails done. Mind you there were about six TVs playing pop music blaring from the speakers but why was I singled out with my child watching cartoons on a mobile device. This really made me feel uncomfortable and made me feel like my business was not important. I love my nails tech Maria which is why I am loyal to the salon in the first place however this experience and this new management has really made me think about taking my business elsewhere. I asked the powers-that-be to please eradicate this management staff from this facility as it is hurting your establishment and you will soon be putting a For Lease sign in your window because people are not going to tolerate being mistreated. This is supposed to be a relaxing environment and experience but New Management is making it a hostile environment that no one wants to come to.

Maria did my pedicure yesterday and was wonderful! She discussed other services and party options with me and also talked to me about what procedures they take with diabetic clients since I wanted to start bringing my mom in. I will definitely be back and will be bringing friends and family! Very clean, professional, and overall pleasant

I love going to Aura Nails and having my nails done. Maria is amazing and always takes her time and explains everything she is doing, even when her boss is complaining about how long she is taking on mine and my other family members nails. She still wont rush us out the door. This is hands down the best place Ive been to get my nails done and Maria is hands down the best nail tech, both with technique and personality.

This place is great. It looks great, extremely comfortable with massaging chairs. I was most impressed that the tools they used were individually wrap before using.

I was told that I could be helped within 25 minutes, I sat there for an hour, 3 other people went around me. Yes I understand that people have appointments but you would think that of at least one person would have told me that it was gonna be longer than 25 minutes. I would never go back to the salon they didnt even apologize they were very rude about it. No one even said anything to me to indicate that it was going to take longer than an hour and no one said anything to me after I had been sitting there for 20 minutes. Yes I should have said something but he had a client and I didnt want to be rude. So I feel like I should just warn everyone if your gonna go here make sure you have an appointment and make sure you know somebody from the business.

Maria has been fixing my nails when other nail techs mess it up since they open. Her personality is very fair and professional. She deserves 5 stars every where she works. Her co workers on the other hand should get negative stars for the way they talk and treat people. They don’t even have the nail skills to back it up. If you come here, you must request Maria. Ever since management changed, this place has gone downhill. Ive been a regular customer since the grand opening. My go-tos were Alex and Quinn. My mom and I arrived today for double mani-pedis to celebrate her birthday. When I signed in, I asked the receptionist for the wait time for both of us to be seen together. She told me one technician was ready and that the other would be done in 15 min after she corrected a broken nail. Given this information, my mom and I proceeded to the chairs. After more than 15 minutes passed, I noticed that not only was the customer with the broken nail leaving, the technician started on a completely new customer. Naturally, I alerted the receptionist about my observation. She walked away as if she was getting more information, but did not return. When she circled near us, I flagged her down AGAIN and asked her for an update. She informed me that the technician did start on someone else despite what she told me earlier. She proceeded to rant about how the technician wasnt scheduled today and that she wasnt aware of her schedule etc. At that point, my mom had already waited 30 minutes, so I ended my appointment. In that time, the technician, Maria, came over to talk to us. She explained that she was on medical leave and had appointments that were not in the system. I informed her that I was aware the mistake was not on her end, but the receptionist for not checking with her before relaying incorrect information. She then advised me to schedule an appointment in the future to which I advised her that the receptionist and the staff should communicate before misinforming customers. Furthermore, when the receptionist noted her mistake, SHE SHOULD HAVE COME TO US. However, instead of taking accountability or acknowledging our frustration, Maria was completely dismissive and blamed the situation on us. Customer service is simple, yet service providers make it difficult. Instead of being concerned about being right, businesses should concern themselves with being accountable. A simple apology in this case is all that was warranted. However, it was ultimately pride that costed them two loyal customers. Also worth mentioning, both their staff and clientele have considerably decreased since their changes - and that’s a fact.

Bad SNS job. I had my nails manicured and an SNS service. The SNS only lasted a week then it started to crack on most of my nails. I went back to the salon and I was told they would take care of it. After the service was complete they offered me 10% off of the service. Since i didn’t come in within 5 days I still have to pay, even though I told them which nail tech did the original service. I payed and gave a tip but I will never go back for service. If you don’t have great customer service you will not get my business. You obviously have nails techs that are not up to par so why should I have to pay for their mistakes.

Some of my skin ripped off with my upper lip waxing. She took the wax way too far out onto my cheek. Dont let someone wax in your salon if they dont know what they are doing. Hioefully this wont scar.

I went in and left 2.5 hours later! Poor customer service. I bought a groupon and when I mentioned it to the nail technician, she said oh, you have a groupon? When I replied yes, she skipped me and decided to take someone else. I proceeded to wait another 35 minutes for another nail technician to finish with another client, so she could start my pedicure. Close to closing time a man hovered over me waiting for me to pay because they wanted to do end of day. One of the workers told me that they hate when someone uses a groupon because they do not make full money on it and she didnt take them. Explains why she skipped me.I could hear the manager rushing my nail technician to hurry. Olive my nail technician was very nice and apologetic. Needless to say, I will never go back to this nail salon.

I tried to give this nail salon a chance because it’s in my area. Unorganized and needs better management. IVe had 3 bad experiences last time was me setting a appointment and having to wait 30+ mins For khevin who was my tech.. 3 times was enough

I went last Monday for a pedicure and manicure. I had used my Groupon then spent an additional $22 for the shellac to last a long time because I was leaving for vacation on Wed and had to work all day Tues. My thumb nail chipped the very next day. The polish on my big toe is already chipping. I didnt even make it to vacation and because I didnt have time I couldnt even go back to have them fix it! Ill go back to where I went before where my shellac lasted 2-3 weeks and pedicure lasts 4-6 weeks. Waste of my money and time!

I found this salon by looking at Groupons. I called to make and appointment and the receptionist was great. She was able to make and appointment for me for the same day. Khevin did my pedicure and sns nails. He was very thurough and detail-oriented, two things I look for in a great nail-tech. The salon was so clean and absolutely beautiful. I plan on going back!

Horrible service! Made an appointment at 1 didn’t get seated until 1:45 I was there 3hours and 15 minutes to get a pedicure and sns with tips! The lady who did my pedicure couldn’t speak English and had to get someone to translate our conversations. Also the girl at the desk was unable to answer any questions about pricing and what comes with services! There Groupon was deceiving!

I have gone here every two weeks since they opened this summer. My first time I tried the SNS dip, it chipped off that night. Super disappointed because I was in a wedding the next day. All the other times I’ve gone was just as big as a let down! Honestly don’t know why I kept going back.. I was told Friday if my shellac chips within the week they will fix it for free. I went in tonight and explained everytime my nails chip in a week or less and only this past time was told they will fix it. The manager told me “if I didn’t mess them up they wouldn’t be chipped”... well no duh! Also was told “if you tried SNS this wouldn’t happen” the whole reason I do gel is because your SNS lasted 3 hours! I won’t be going back, IVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH SHELLAC CHIPPING until I used that place. They suck, go somewhere else !

I gave this place a chance and have been very disappointed twice. The first time i was insulted on how my nails looked. I should have never went back. They are there to make you feel beautiful not make you feel bad about yourself. Both times ive had iasues with the color of the polish. They present them on white fake nails which of course makes the color pop and will not look like that on a natural nail. The second time i went i brought 2 very popular opi nail polishes to see if they had that color or something colse and they didnt. So i went with a color that i thought was close based off the swatches the provide and it was no where near that color. They acted like it was a inconvience that i even asked them to see if they had that color in the first place. Ive never had this issue with how colors turn out at other nail salons or the disrespect. It is a great price but you get what you pay for.
