I wanna add first ...if you have a busy day or needs to make work or an event... Id advise you to come two hours ahead, for they have their ppl that scheduled weeks in advance. BUT THIS IS A FAMILY STYLE SOCIAL BARBERSHOP. NOT A MCDONALDS!! YOU WILL SPEND SOME TIME HERE. Great cuts. All the Barbers are nice and professional. My brother, Lavon Pope, is my usual barber but Tan is my second favorite. Great atmosphere. Theres no hostility here.

I took my two step sons there for a cut on short notice on a Saturday and they did and good job on them both. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

I usually take my autistic brother here to get his hair cut and they take great care of him😊

I have been getting my sides cut here for about 2 years now. I have always felt welcomed and comfortable here. All the barbers are skilled and take pride in their work. I would definitely recommend this barbershop.

I go here specifically because of the cut I have. Your hair is almost as important as your teeth. It is the first thing people see besides your face. I have been coming here for years now and The guys are friendly and professional. I never left dissatisfied.

This barber shop is one of the cleanest shops that I have ever been in. The atmosphere of this shop was very welcoming, very up beat, and had an awesome vibe with the music playing. You can tell that these men love what they do and take pride in the art of cutting hair. The haircut I received from my man Charlie has to be hands down the best haircut I have gotten. He made sure my cut was perfect before I got off the chair. I felt like he really wanted to take his time and give me his best results. I think this is the best barber shop in Erie, no questions asked! I got multiple compliments on my haircut, more than I ever have in the past, and I immediately recommended all of my friends to get their next cut at this shop. I am very picky about where I get my haircut, but this place has by far exceeded my expectations. They now have my loyalty, and this will be the only place I get my haircut for as long as I am in Erie.

Place sucks well I guess if u black its a good place but for me I been waiting over 2 hours and I was a walk in but they kept taking the black walk ins before me the only white guy worked there took me then got a phone call and left so two hours later and still no hair cut dont come here if u white or Hispanic

Haircuts are great! But I make an appointment and I dont get in the chair for another 30min and this happens multiple times so idk whats the point of making an appointment

Full of it they have there favorites andnp matter howmuch tip you give they always cel chatting or just take more time then usual w a client.2hours its just to much to spend rubbing a mans head.👌

Horrible Customer Service!!!!!!!! My husband called ahead and they told him to come on in, showed up 45 mins later and they had the doors locked @ 5 when the sign said open until 6. He went back in the next day, signed in then watched three people (walk ins) get service before he did.

Heads of State is a great place to get your haircut. Appointments are not necessary but recommended for certain days such as Fridays or upcoming holidays as they will be swamped. All the barbers come correct with cuts and everyone has their favorites. My favorite is Shane but if you want him, you HAVE to make an appointment. If you try to catch him on a walk-in, be prepared to wait a very long time if available at all but he is booked up most of the time. The shop is clean, bright, well lit and modern. TVs all over, usually tuned to SportsCenter, to keep your mind occupied while you wait. Stop in and give them a try. Tell them Teron sent ya (my name sounds like Toronto without the toe, hehe)
