The technician was fabulous. the company not so much. the company knows that my particular furnace has a defective part manufactured by Carrier and that it only takes a flick of the wrist to spin a wheel and the furnace will turn on, possibly being that the furnace will last many more years. they do not tell you to try that, but instead send someone out who then charges the standard fee of $185 for a minimal maintenance call. Id say that was pretty minimal and I could have done it myself.

The installers David and Abi were very professional, courteous and thorough in their work. They put in a long days work and cleaned up completely when finished. The operating instructions they reviewed were complete and thorough. The equipment is running flawlessly and we are very pleased with the equipment, the installation and the service. We highly recommend Steel T.

My A/C went out Sunday, of course right when the temperatures were headed back into the 90s. I called Steel T, as they had given me a bid several years back on a new A/C system and handled that very professionally, first thing Monday morning and they scheduled a service tech for Wednesday afternoon. Their tech called Wednesday afternoon to let me know he was 20 minutes out. The service tech, Joe, showed up exactly 20 minutes later in a nice clean Steel T service truck and had a clean uniform on. Joe was informed of the problem and immediately went to work. Joe diagnosed the problem quickly, which was a failed capacitor, replaced the part and did a complete check up service of my AC system. Joe left after about 1-1/2 hours and my house cooled down nicely. I couldnt be more pleased by the professionalism of Steel T from the service dispatcher I spoke to, the service tech Joe the clean company truck and the good attitudes. I will definitely call Steel T for any future HVAC needs I have. In this crazy time of Covid and material and labor shortages its great to see and experience a good company who cares about customers!

Steel-T did a great job adding a humidifier and air purification upgrades to my Carrier HVAC system. The installation was scheduled less than a week after I selected the proposed equipment options that I wanted. The installation technician called me directly 20 minutes before he arrived, which was within his arrival time window. We had a knocking sound in our duct work whenever the A/C unit would turn on and when it would stop.Matt from the Englewood office came out to the house and explained to us what the problem appeared to be and what was needed to be done in order to resolve the issue. These idiots put an after market lock on my refrigerant access. They said it was to only allow professionals access. They cant get anyone out for service for weeks. I have a family member who does commercial HVAC who could service it in a timely manner but since it is an after market lock I had to order a key from the professional HVAC supplier called Amazon (insert sarcasm). This is only my second summer of use and I shouldnt be having issues this soon much less having to wait weeks for service.

I couldn’t believe a company would actually donate and install a brand new furnace for free! Fast forward to a few days ago and I now have a brand new fully functioning furnace. As a single mom and a teacher I can not begin to express my gratitude. Made an appointment earlier in the week and was set for an 8-12 window on Saturday. Which is great. much less disruptive to work and school from home. Was told get a call when they were heading to my place. Great. It should always be this easy.Saturday rolls around, I make sure I am up and about at 8 and that we have masks handy, etc. Hours roll by then noon hits. I call the office to see what is going on. Turns out they never entered my appointment in the system. They are unprofessional and barely apologetic. Maybe they have so many customers that boofing one appointment is not a big deal. Dunno. I rescheduled to give them a chance to succeed.Ill write a review based on the retry.

I called Steel-T because my A/C condenser fan was squealing loudly. Im pretty certain the bearings are shot in a 16 year old unit. Of course, when the tech arrived he listened and it didnt squeal while he was here so he said its an old system and left with no work performed. I was charged a $70 service charge which is fine but I was then charged another $70 for labor minimum. Apparently they consider labor standing next to a condenser and listening. I called and they flat didnt care. The entire system including the furnace is 16 years old so I was prepared to replace the entire system but they lost probably $10,000 worth of work over a $70 labor charge. Ill be using a different company and recommend you do as well.

I purchased a new home 2 years ago and this July the AC unit quit cooling. I called the folks at Steel T HVAC because they had installed the system originally. I was able to set up an appointment at my convenience which was nice with my crazy schedule. The crew arrive a bit early and was very professional. The tech discovered a tiny pin hole in the joint in the line to condenser and that all my coolant had leaked out. They repaired the joint and refilled the coolant and thoroughly tested it to make sure everything worked correctly. The best part was it was covered under warranty since there was no abuse to the system on my part. Highly recommend Steel T HVAC.

Steel T helped me replace my furnace and add an air conditioner, and I was really impressed with the whole process. Their HVAC specialist Mike came out and spent a lot of time looking at my existing system and calculating what the new system would look like, and then talking through the different options. I never felt pressured, and felt like he knew his stuff. The installation team was equally professional, taking care to lay down protective mats and communicating throughout the process, and then taking time to thoroughly show me the installation. I selected Steel T to replace my AC when it failed and decided to do my furnace at the same time. Among 4 bids Steel Ts service stood out, beginning with the sales process where they properly sized my equipment and did not try to upsell me equipment like a thermostat that was not needed. They even presented options without the furnace as my existing unit was working. Mike was a great help throughout the process. Their bid was itemized and showed the Xcel rebate, an optional cash discount for different combinations of furnace and AC, and even listed the model numbers with links to Carriers website for more information.During the installation, the installers Brandon and Jonas did a great job carefully removing the existing equipment from my utility closet and sealing all the ducting before installing the new furnace and AC coil. Licensed electricians also showed up briefly to reconnect the high voltage wiring and confirm the breaker amperage. They were careful to place drop cloths in my living areas and cleaned up any debris in the closet when they were done.Following the install, Steel T setup a check in for 2 weeks out where one of their technicians would come by to see if I had any followup questions and check on the equipment. They also registered the new units for me ensuring I get the 10yr warranty and submitted the Xcel rebate on my behalf. Overall, I was very pleased with their service and would recommend them. There are cheaper options, but the quality of service from sales to installation and confidence they inspire makes Steel T stand out.

My first experience with Steel T was part of my house warranty. The builder sent them to fix a condensation leak for the furnace. They detected the issue and fixed it quickly. No issues since then!The second time I contacted Steel T was to install a whole house steam humidifier. After getting quotes from different companies, I decided to move forward with Steel Ts Carrier steam humidifier. It was not cheap, but you do get what you pay for. The installation went smoothly (took about 4 hours total) and all my questions were answered. So far the humidifier works great!

Pleased with the price and whole process. Install of new furnace and AC went well yesterday with good communication and quality workmanship. Had several other estimates and feel I made the right choice.

Could not have been more pleased with my entire interaction with Steel-T. They promptly answered the phone when I called on Wednesday and transferred me to a scheduler who sought to understand the issue prompting my call and then told me that Steve would be arriving between 8 and 12 Friday morning. She also said that Steve would call about 30 minutes before arriving at my house. That is exactly what happened. When Steve called shortly after 8 on Friday to tell me he would be arriving soon, I asked him if he had booties to wear over his shoes in the house. He said that they always cover their shoes when entering a customer’s home. Following his arrival, Steve diagnosed and fixed the problem in short order, and everything has worked perfectly ever since. After fixing the problem, he briefly retreated to his truck to prepare the bill, which he reviewed with me on a hand-held device and subsequently e-mailed to me. I paid him, and he was on his way. Steve was very personable, communicative, and competent. I will definitely call Steel-T the next time I have a need for HVAC service. Oh, and the price for the service was very reasonable.

Brandon and Jonas did a wonderful job replacing our furnace and AC in the attic, as well as the outdoor unit, in one day. They put carpet film down on all the carpets, and replaced and caulked the trim that they had to remove around the ceiling opening. He clearly explained the new thermostat and the Xcel rebates. A professional job all around..

The employees were very nice and were prompt to the appointment time, however one of them tracked mud through my entire house. He made probably 10 trips into the house and didnt notice. I had to clean up the mess and had to instruct him on why he needs to wear the shoe covers inside. I will not be using this company in the future.

I am a business owner and dont like writing bad reviews. Ill go out of my way, not to. Steel T said they do commercial HVAC work. Our furnace wasnt working in one of our locations and they said it was a 26 year old furnace and that there was a bearing issue and I should replace it. I appreciate their ability to diagnose the issue but since were in a commercial location and have a limited number of months left on our lease, were not willing to buy a new furnace. I asked for a price to fix it and was put on a long hold (this was my second attempt to reach someone to talk to about this and went through a long hold). They said theyd get back to me. That was last Friday and today is Wednesday and I havent heard anything. Were having some pretty cold weather, so I realized we needed to hire another company to figure this out. I paid $240.95 for this service. Follow-up: A person from Steel T contacted me and let me know how this situation occurred. I appreciate the businesss willingness to follow up on this though this event cost me and not them, other than this review - thus only adding one star.

Steel T did such a great job installing a new furnace and ac unit. That were fast and on time. If you pay with cash/ check they take a discount off the price. We saved $400 plus they took care of filling xcel rebates for us which is about $600 in saving! They were clean and made sure to pick up after they were done. Very impressed!! Plus Mike Hall was very knowledgeable when I had any questions!! He even gave me a call to make sure I got my appointment made with them when he was on vacation. Steel T did an excellent job this week coming to my home on Monday and installing a new furnace the next day. My furnace was leaking carbon monoxide on Friday and had to be shut down. The fire department was called and they suspected the furnace was the issue. A tech came to my home on Saturday and said it was not safe to use. I made an appointment for Monday at noon with Mike from Steel T and he came on time, was very friendly, straight forward and explained everything. The company left us two space heaters to use and offered more if we needed them. Mike was honest and everything he said would take place, did. They were at my home at 8:20 the next morning, they installed everything, were very respectful and this type of honesty and service is rarely seen anymore. I highly recommend using this company and this is my first experience with them and they were excellent to work with.
