Extremely disappointing experience all around. The lady on the phone who booked the appointment was rude and dismissive. I made it very clear I was a new customer and had questions about the treatment I was interested in. She did not answer my questions and said I would have a consultation before my treatment. There was no consultation. They gave me the wrong time to be there for my appointment (45 minutes before my appt, which was before they even opened.) I still didnt get in the room till 10 minutes after my appointment. The technician didnt explain anything about the process and after 1 minute, said she was done and I needed to come back for 4-5 more treatments before I would see Any results. What? Why didnt anyone or any of the paperwork explain it was a multi step procedure? Especially since I tried to get the details beforehand. Feel completely misled and disappointed. The building itself looks like apartments and feels sketchy to walk into. Tall black walls, not calm or classy. Not at all what you would picture a spa looking like.

This place is EXTREMELY confusing when you walk in. I had no idea how to get in touch with anyone or check in. I am guessing they dont take walk-ins. The suites definately feel clostraphobic. The lady who did my hair was fantastic. I got a groupon but her normal charge is very reasonable. However, she was very rough with my scalp so it was definately not relaxing. I would go back just for the fact that she did such a wonderful job.

Bought a treatment from Groupon to this spa. I made an appointment which would be a few days later, and was unable to cancel within 48 hour of my appointment because it was a weekend. I work as a nurse at night and it was 5th shift this week and I was tired and it was a little far from where I live. I had to cancel the day of my appointment and they didn’t even ask why just told they charge a fee, they didn’t even tell me how much or any details on that, found the charge on my card which was 50 dollars. This place seems to not understand good customer service and how to treat people. Even during a pandemic, that’s messed up.

I had bought a Groupon. When I called to redeem it I was told they didnt have available spots before the voucher expired so recommended that I return the Groupon. Stated they would give me the same price as the Groupon. They had an available day within a week. I had to cancel appt so I tried to call 48 hour before appointment due to their cancellation policy. Didnt get a phone call till the following day which then I was charged an $85 to reschedule. I was told a manager would call me back given that I tried to cancel 48 hours in advance but never got a phone call.

I had called to inquire about scheduling and was talked down to and she just had a very unwelcoming tone in her voice. I will not schedule anything here, because of this. You really need to have people who enjoy their jobs and have customer service answering the phones, as this is what brings in your business.

Super sweet people that took care of us, but when we left my moms toes were already messed up and she had gel on. My toes were perfect but the same evening the gloss top on my dipped nails started to peel and they were cracking the next day. For how expensive it was my nails were not up to par.

Great team. Clean facility. Staff is very knowledgeable and arent just trying to up-sell you on a bunch of services. I have a monthly membership and go once a week. Feels great on my soreness and pain in my lower body. I recommend to my friends and would recommend to anyone thinking about it.

Their music isnt too loud that it still provides a relaxing space for those seeking relaxation. Their employees are very professional. I can tell that they take pride in not only their work but also cleanliness and organization. I didnt feel overwhelmed looking at the wall of colors because they were organized I got the shellac manicure and a pedicure while my boyfriend just got the pedicure. Stayed here recently and had dinner delivered. It is by FAR the nicest hotel in Edmond. I didnt even go into the spa, but the lodging itself and the interior were very nice. And not expensive. My stay was particularly well-priced.

I have been working in Edmond for over 10 years and stumbled across Hiatus a few months ago. Since then, I have been attending monthly and have received 1st class treatment every single time from Mela.After attending various other massage treatment venues in the the Edmond area and closer to home, I have not received a treatment that has managed to surpass the Hiatus. The ambiance and treatment has led me to be very relaxed and on a couple of occasions I have felt myself drift off.I can recall feeling so relaxed after one treatment that I almost fell asleep driving home.I cannot recommend Hiatus highly enough.

I love this place. I love the beautiful scent as you walk in the door. The friendly people who greet you. The spa sandals they give you. An offering of something to drink and then a place to chill out in their V-Saunas. Very peaceful. Ive been here several times doing several different services and its all been top notch. Very professional and lovely.

I recently returned to the Essence Spa for my birthday.My cousin and I had a great experience. Its a bit pricey however, I really wanted to pamper myself.The staff were friendly and professional. The spa is clean with a touch of elegance.The masseuse was very good! This was my third visit and I always ask for the same masseuse. I love the steam room and the relaxation room.Many times after having a relaxing deep tissue massage, I almost hate having to leave and return to the hustle and bustle of the Edmond streets. But at Essence Spa, you can indulge in a Pedicure, sip tea in by the cozy fireplace, relax with a facial or take a much needed nap. I usually choose the latter

I was looking for a Spa in Oklahoma to take my sister for her birthday. Since I am new on town was just looking online and found Essence Spa. I could not be happier with the experience. The Spa takes you into a Zen vibe. I had a CBD Massage with Charlene and she was great. I liked particularly that after the treatment she explained to me what as treated and further explanations. Had a great experience with Ashley. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. I wanted my hair length up to my collarbone and she did that. The salon itself is really cute as well.

Scheduled an appt for today and unfortunately spent the whole night at the emergency vet with my dog. I called to cancel and explained that I knew I would have to pay the cancellation fee ( which during booking I was told it was $25 to cancel if within 48 hrs off my appt). I was fine with this. I was then told it would be a 50% charge. I asked what that even meant, 50% of what, since it was just a free consultation. She then stated “oh, it’s $50”. I told her this is not what I was told but fine bc I am exhausted. She told me that I could use it as a credit on my rescheduled visit. If it’s just a consultation and I chose not to render service what do I apply this to? And she never addressed that I was originally told $25. Too much uncertainty. I will not reschedule.

The whole atmosphere of the spa is intimate and relaxing. My hour facial was the best Ive ever enjoyed, leaving my skin soft and my whole body relaxed. The feeling lasted for two days! My manicure was just okay. I asked for clear polish, so I got a base coat and the dazzle dry, no layer of regular polish. My nails were not buffed, so the ridges we accentuated by the shine. I will return, but for a facial.

Im not sure if cryo therapy is legit or just psychosomatic, but after doing it I felt a lot better.It defintely was a unique experience. They told me it would take 5 minutes, it actually took over 15.The facilities are new and clean and the staff was nice and friendly.Will I be back? I very likely will try it again at least once to see if it had the same pain relief effect.

I went to Hiatus for the first time yesterday and my experience was amazing! After learning about all the benefits of cryotherapy, I wanted to try it but I was pretty nervous (Im a huge baby about any kind of cold.) The staff was really great and knowledgeable and immediately put me at ease. Stephen was the technician who worked with me and he walked me through the whole process (and was extremely patient with my 500 questions.) I definitely felt the benefits of increased energy and the endorphin high after. In addition to the cryotherapy, I also did the compression boots. It was really relaxing and helped tremendously with my muscle soreness. Overall, it was a great experience, I will definitely be coming again.

I always have a great experience at Cottonwood. I especially appreciate Jamie for her expert advice, and the care she takes to cut my hair in the most flattering style for me. She has always taken the time to listen to my particular hairdo challenges and help me with solutions. After about the 3rd time Jamie cuts your hair, youll consider her a friend and look forward to seeing her every few weeks!

I surprised my sister for her birthday with a 3 hour spa experience at Essence salon & spa and it was truly one of the most relaxing and pampering experiences ever. The front staff, masseuses, and aestheticians were all professional and skilled. The location was easy to find and it was clean and welcoming. I would definitely go back!

My stylist was late for my appointment, but I did not have to wait long. I was given a really nice arm massage during my shampoo. The haircut was fantastic and I left looking great. The quality of the haircut for the price was well worth it. The stylist also took the time to explain good ways to style my hair at home. They try very hard to push their products.

This really is a good salon. Its high end, the people have always treated me well and Ive done just about every service. But the honest truth is that you get what you pay for. Its a high end salon, but if you want a high end experience, you have to pay for it. But when you do, oh man is it awesome!!

I go to Jamie to get my hair cut. She always does and amazing job, but Im always impressed with the shampoo experience I receive too. No matter what kind of day youre having, they put you at ease and melt all cares away while they massage your scalp and you smell soothing scents. Jamie really listens to what you want and takes her time to create whatever look youre going for. I would definitely recommend her and Cottonwood!

We stayed at The Hiatus the beginningof July 2019 for two nights.It was my second complementary visit dueto my SILs addiction to the spa offerings.This is a beautiful place!!!It is two with a sauna and small surrounding cute shops & restaurants.WOW, WOW, WOWA big screen 42 TV is on the wall in front of the bed, which has a personal Keruig and a small fridge and microwave.The staff is soooooo accommodating too.The lobby is so relaxing, filled with comfy couches and chairs.Look at all my photos, it shows it all.I cant wait till my next Hiatus visit!!!

Cottonwood always goes above and beyond! I have no issues with scheduling or with finding the right products for me, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly and is always willing to serve. LOVE getting my nails done here because they explain everything they are doing and why they are doing it. The shellac manicures last WEEKS. I LOVE COTTONWOOD.

Disappointed. Check in was very unorganized, they couldnt find my reservation and the ladies were unprofessional in handling the matter. I was asked to check in 15 minutes early, which I did, but my massage was still 20 minutes behind schedule. The facility was uncomfortably cold and the music was too loud. You can hear people talking in the hall because instead of doors, the rooms are separated with curtains. I kept hoping my negative experience was just because the place was new and still working out kinks, but my massage was horrible. The masseuse didn’t introduce herself, she was the same lady that attempted to check me in, and her massage was obviously rushed. In her hurry, she got eucalyptus oil on the face towel and it got in my eyes which burned like hell. There was only one changing space and it’s the same room as the toilet, shower and lockers. I had to wait for someone to shower and get ready before I could get my clothes which added another unnecessary 15 minutes to my stay. When I finally got into the bathroom, someone had removed the lock from my locker and the door was open (I still had the key with me). Fortunately, all my belongings were still there, but water from the shower had splashed all over my clothes. Needless to say, I will not be returning or referring anyone to this facility.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Essence Spa in Edmond - Some friends from the office I work at had sang their praises about this place. The staff helped me create a custom package of services that filled the afternoon and flowed beautifully. We began with the V-Steam Sauna which was a new experience and one that we both would absolutely do again. After a quick shower, we moved to their relaxation area which we affectionately called HEAVEN. a zen space in the middle of the treatment rooms. Both of us had massages, facials, and pedicures. My massage therapist, Shannon, was very intuitive and worked the necessary areas to perfection. The aesthetician, Ashley, helped me understand the reasoning why I was struggling with large pores ! Essencedelivered well beyond our expectations and with service fees at a reasonable price point. We highly recommend It and look forward to booking our next spa day!

They took special care of me because I am pregnant and made me feel very pampered. I will definitely go back. I have been to several spas in OKC and Tulsa and this is by far the best!

Did the v-steam. It is hot but I love how it made me feel afterwards. So refreshed. My bestie and I enjoyed our solo room together. We were serenaded by tranquil music. The wine was a plus as well. The aroma in the building was so calming.

This salon looks nice by any standard but what they dont do well is care about the customer. If you want to go shopping before your hair cut then this will be your place, otherwise I would keep looking for something better.My hair has never looked this bad in my entire life. I chose this salon because I felt comfortable they were able to do the style I was looking for. I was VERY wrong. Ive made 4 trips to the salon this month. Now my hair is fried/frizzy, 6+ inches shorter than I started, and looks awful no matter what I do to it. They even tried to style it. It looked so bad, my husband asked what was wrong with my hair when he got home. This has been the worst experience.What are they doing about it? Nothing.Will they return my phone call? Nope.I look like a Cousin It and Lt. Dan love child that likes to stick forks in the electrical socket.After spending close to $300 there and on recommend products, I will now have to crawl to a stranger at another salon for them to do damage control.I understand that results can vary. I understand that its not always possible to get your hair to look like a picture. I did not expect perfection by any means but after the money and time spent I had hoped to make my hair look better. They failed at this. My hair looks significantly worse than what I started with.I wish I would have never stepped foot in their salon.

Ive been going to Ashley for a year now and have always been very happy with my nails. On my nail visit a week ago, I decided to treat myself to a facial. The skin care girls name was Maranda and she was so sweet! She showed me how to clean my face at home so that I can start clearing up my face from acne on my forehead and I already see a change. I didnt know a light massage came with the facial either. Nice treat that ill do again soon

I’ve had a certificate for a massage that I’ve been holding onto to use at the perfect time and they closed without notifying anyone. Being a mom and working full time I was really looking forward to getting a massage:( I had been one time before and it was the best massage I’d ever had.

I checked Older reviews and seen many complaints of how hateful, rude and how she’s a scam artist. My instincts were right!Also don’t book on Groupon. she just ask you to cancel it and pay them directly. Just yuck.

Had my hair done which was great, but walked out of the salon with hair dye on my forehead, ear and neck, plus the dye was on my sweater. The lady behind the counter should have told me as she was taking my money or Erick who did my hair should have seen it. First time here and I thought it was supposed to be a high end spa, just beware.

Great place for people dealing with stiff neck. They really focused on my pain point and I felt great relief afterwards.

They cycle through underlings all the time dont try to seek a job here they bring you in as a co designer or cold whatever and I have seen so many young nice kids come in who has certificate of their training and get treated like crap as if they dont know anything and I was even informed that theyre forced to go through these class setups before they can even get paid commission they work them minimum wage for 4 to 6 months and then drop them thats when I found out its because of those classes they have one someone looks like theyre about to get on commission they fire them and higher and a new underlaying that they can bust on minimum wage. A salon that runs like that is not a salon worth paying for. many of their main people are stuck up rude and self centered I cant stand going here anymore the massages are great but the hair stylist are horrid

I will never ever order from this place again. They made me come back twice.
