I went in to get my son a haircut on October 4th. A particular woman does my sons hair, and does it very nicely. However that Sunday, my son and I went to the Wal-Mart in Shakopee, after his haircut, and I noticed 2 big scratches on his neck!! I asked him if she nicked him with the pliers and he said yeah, I was like did she say she was sorry because she didnt even mention it to me, and he tried to defend her. Unfortunately, I wont be going back to this one. She knew she nicked him, you could have atleast told me about it.

As a guy with minimal hair, I just needed a pretty easy haircut and rinse. I had luck on my side as I got Heather B. for my haircut. Right away, Heather was welcoming and kind and made me feel special with a smile that lit up the salon more than the commercial lighting could ever do!! Prior to my cut, she reviewed how I like it cut and made a suggestion; I went with her suggestion as it was nothing drastic and she is the expert (keep in mind, I dont have a ton of hair left)!! Throughout the haircut, the conversation was easy and fun. As brief as my haircut is normally, I really enjoyed my experience with Heather and would highly recommend scheduling an appointment with her as I think she will make you as happy as I was when I got my haircut!! Excellent service, excellent experience! Best hair stylist I have had in years!!

I am updating my review to unfortuatenly give this place 1 star. I had a bad haircut that was too short and just not what I wanted. After sending 5 photos to the owner they still required me to come into the store per their policy. That would have been a huge inconvenience for me as I live 30 minutes away and only went there because I was in Eagan for the weekend.Both my wife, my mother, and even my neighbors commented on it. One of the comments was holy cow Justin did you take a weed wacker to your head? I raised my concerns to the owner and she refused to refund me the $19.75. Sandy was so nice, but she must have just had a bad day. At the end of the day, and 6 phone calls later, they refused to refund my money even though I wanted Sandy to keep her tip. Very poor customer experience and I would not recommend giving your business to this location. Anyone reading this can see this is the first time Ive ever given a poor review. I hope the owner and managers adjust their policy so situations like this do not arise again.

I have been coming here for 2 years and will continue to come here as it is the best place around town. The staff is friendly and pleasant. Jessica is my favorite. She is very skilled, friendly and funny.I would recommend this anyone.

Awesome shop! Stopped in wanting to cut my dreadlocks after having grown them for 10 years. It was quite the task but Heather did a wonderful job, was super friendly, and I was very happy with with cut and styling. Will definitely be returning! Cheap pricing imo! Well worth it!

If youre of a darker skin tone be prepared to be put in the back of the list and wait longer times even when having an appointment. Also the staff doesnt have an iota of customer service skills.

Ive been going here since they opened. I used to go to whomever was available, which works well because all their staff is great. However, over the past 2 years I prefer JESS or ERICA. Both are kind, friendly, and wonderful people not to mention they do an amazing job cutting my hair.

For the past year this was my go to place for a haircut. My last visit, Sandy did such a good job on my hair I decided it was well worth the drive from Corcoran back to Eagan, as I had recently moved. I called over the weekend and made an appointment for 3 pm. Their website indicates checkin and they will come out and get you. I checked in at 3 pm and was told that Sandy was not ready and was asked to wait outside. I called at 3:10 pm asking if Sandy was ready for my 3 pm appt. The receptionist sounded confused and checked with the staff. Then I was told I was marked as a no show and Sandy was busy cutting someone elses hair. What terrible customer service. I guess its back to SportsClips as these guys dont honor their reservations. Never again!!!!

Used to frequent this shop. My usual cut isnt too difficult so even if the work was a little off, I could fix it. Of course, now that Im in desperate need of a cut after avoiding it all year for COVID reasons, they wont answer the phone.Time to find a new place.

The Barbershop is a great value. I pay about half what I paid before at another salon and the quality is just as good if not better. Misty is my barber. Shes great! Excellent cuts, good conversation, and hair wash with the warm face towel is such a luxury! Cant forget the neck massage. Go there. You wont be disappointed!

Great place for men. You get a good haircut at normal prices plus a shampoo and message as well for no extra charge. Unlimited peanuts in their waiting area too. Its a great place to go when you need a haircut. I would highly recommend it for a barbershop.

I called today to inquiry if they do haircuts for 1 year old boy which would be his second haircut. Whomever answered the phone was rude and short. Her tone of voice sealed the deal that I won’t take my chance to come in. I understand and know it depends on how well children sit for a haircut but I don’t need any rudeness or sounding annoyed for me asking if they are great with kids and kids hair cuts. I am a new mother and just asking questions to better help my son, myself and the staff.The one star is for poor soft skills and unprofessional with providing service via telephone.

I was that way till I met Jess!She has tackled everything from the simplest haircut to the most extreme 1920s high fade pompadour cut I could throw at her. She always treats me right and her expertise shows. Plus where else are you going to go for a hair cut, get a hot towel placed on your face, a head massage, and then a shoulder massage for $15? NO where! Best place Ive ever been, Ill be a life member.

Love this barbershop! The ladies that work there are great, and work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want. It pays to call ahead and get on the schedule, but walk-ins are accepted. You might have to wait a while, since they are pretty busy most days. Enjoy peanuts and ESPN while you wait. Once seated, you get a great cut, hair wash, dry, hot towel for your face, and a shoulder massage. And, theyre not overly pushy on the products. Misty is my favorite. $15 cash, $15.75 card. 5 stars!

They offer a great service. The only thing that they lack is building customer loyalty. They dont cultivate return visits by offering to schedule your next appt and offering a reminder phone call a couple days in advance.

Schedule an appointment after friends gave good reviews at this and the Apple Valley location. It was an odd experience, the stylist left abruptly in the middle of my haircut, another finished it, and then a third stylist did the shampoo. It seemed very disorganized and no one explained why they kept changing.I pointed out that there was still an uneven patch on the back of my head and the lady who shampood told me it was fine, it’s definitely uneven. Very disappointing visit after many high recommendations.

Completely Unprofessional! Their website claims you get a shampoo and condition, relaxing hot towel, eyebrow/mustache trim and shoulder massage included in your price. I got none of those. Not only that, I booked an appointment for 2pm and arrived at 1:50 (just like their website says to arrive early) to check in. 25 minutes later and Im still waiting. Another lady comes up to ask if Ive checked in and tells me that I havent (the lady who checked me in was right next to her too and said nothing). Never have I had such a lousy experience at a barber shop.

Ive always had really good experiences with Barbershop for Men, but the Eagan location has unfortunately just been a deep disappointment for me.The first time I came in to get my haircut (the same length and style Ive been getting for years), the hairstylist botched it and cut out a large chunk of hair in the front, forcing me to turn it into a buzz cut to try to salvage it.A month later, I decided to try to give them a second chance and called for an appointment around 10 am. When I showed up, they said they wouldnt be able to fit me in until 2 pm.This has just been really disappointing. I definitely recommend a number of other Barbershop for Men locations, but I wont be coming back to this one.

I thought I was walking into a business here.I used to love The Barbershop. It was always full of happy stylists and excellent service. Now, if you can even get an appointment the same day as you walk in, you are treated like an unwelcome inlaw. Ill be going to other shops...pretty sure anyplace would happily take my money.

The staff were courteous and professional. I had my hair done by Rosie. Shes very good at what she does cos I came out looking 5 years younger and more good looking. The shoulder massage was great too. I would recommend here for anyone looking for excellent grooming. By the way, Im black. That means they are experienced with all kinds of hair.

Ive been going to The Barbershop since they opened up in NW Rochester years ago. Since moving up to the cities about 5 years ago, Ive been going to the Eagan location where Rosie cuts my hair. Rosie is very upbeat and has a great personality. She always does a great job on my hair and gets it right every time. Im going to start looking for a new barbershop. Ive been coming to the Eagan location since it opened mainly because of the quality, price and the extras like the shampoo, hot towel and massage. However, the last two times, today being the latest, I did get in ahead of my appointment time since it wasnt busy and got a good cut. But that was it. The price has increased and now dont even offer the amenities. She just took the bib off, spun the chair to the side and stepped back, shook and folded the bib and that was it. They werent even that busy. As far as I can see, they have just become a higher priced Great Clips. At least GC is honest in their advertising while this franchise clearly posts these amenities inside, outside, and online.

Not all Barbershop locations are the same, just like not all barbers are. I have had some experiences elsewhere where I have not impressed before, but was blown away with the expertise and professionalism Rosey displays. She will be brutally honest about your current hair cut and give you some recommendations based on her years of experience.

They bumped my appointment by 20 min w/o telling me. if sitting in a chair waiting around for someone to give ya a hair cut is your thing, go for it. Im going to a real barber shop who have pride in customers., not this Costcutters wanna be place.

Hair cuts here are cheap. $16 for a cut, can’t complain if they mess it up, they mess up. Definitely won’t come back, lesson learned. Paying a little bit more for a cut is okay they probably won’t butcher your hair like this place would.

Please do not go to this Barber Shop. If you have to go to one of these barber shops, go to the one in West St. Paul ONLY. I have had bad experiences at both this location and at the Apple Valley location. Specifically today, I was seen by Jess, at the Eagan location. She claimed I wasnt scheduled with her (didnt know who I was supposed to be seen by). She has problems with her feet and cant allow you to face the mirror because of how the floor mat is set up. She created her own hair lines, cutting into the natural hairline on the sides, below your ears, completely ignoring the years of hair growth and stubble after cropping it that proves where your true hairline is (be thorough and specific about what you need and slow them down). She cant face you directly when cutting your bangs/front hair line because of the mat issue again, and just overall isnt willing to admit her shortcomings. I tipped her $5 for whatever issues shes having a hard time getting through that are interfering with her ability to perform adequately. I asked for Danielle to cut my hair, she was no longer employed there. I asked for the next most experienced hair stylist and got Jess. Be careful with these shops. They seem to be a face for underachieved hairstylists to get their foot in the door, and attract men with the image of their company, the marketing strategy. Ive received a truly experienced Mens haircut once at this location, three times in West St. Paul and never at Apple Valley and this is was my 15th or so time altogether. Sure, the price is great, the service is a decent deal. I just wanted to not stand out at a funeral. Its not about me. But now, how can it not be? Trust me, I stand out. Unfortunate.
