Walked in after seeing the 4.7 start review and figured it was a safe bet. Went in to get my haircut for my wedding coming up in two days. Showed the shorter older man (didnt even catch his name) a picture of a previous hairstyle I had and he said sounds good. He had MSNBC news playing loudly throughout the barbershop which was fine until 5 separate times he turned the clippers off and was more concerned with talking to me about Biden and Afghanistan than he was with paying attention to how he was cutting my hair.Faced me away from the mirror the whole time and felt like something was completely off the whole time. He showed me length on the sides a few seconds after to make sure the length was okay which it was. When he moved to the top I didnt see at all how short he was going and at the end he handed me the mirror to check for myself and he had gone beyond shorter than what I asked. Spent $26 to have to go home and fix my own hair in the bathroom mirror two days before one of the most important days of my life.To say Im irritated and disappointment would be an understatement. Avoid this place at all costs if they have news playing in the background or if you have the luck of the draw and get the shorter old man about to give you the cut, save yourself $26 and go somewhere else.

Everyone here went above and beyond for me. The barber is highly skilled ! This guy takes his time. If you’re looking for a good shop, this is the place to be. Great price, amazing quality.

Gent is my go-to spot. The haircuts are excellent, the stylists are attentive, nice, and fun to chat with, and the space/location is convenient for getting other things done around the cut.

I have been going to this barber shop for the 20 years I have lived in MN. They are fantastic. I used to go there even when they were in the old mall there. Anyways, fantastic service, great prices, and quick turn around. Back when I worked 3rd shift it says they open at 8am, but if I showed up at 7 after work, sure as heck, one of the Barbers would show up and wave me in. From Hair cuts, to Beard Trim work, they are great. Tip Well!

This place a great place to get youre next haircut. The conversation between me and my barber alone are enough to make me go back, not to mention they have a great building, welcoming interior, and more private clippings areas.

Highly recommend for a good, fair priced barber. They are all seasoned veterans. Hard to find these days.

The 3 guys are very nice, and do a great job of cutting mens hair. (Although, I prolly wouldnt go here if I were a chick wanting coloring or perms ....Unless youre the kind of chick who likes them older....and have like weird daddy issues/fantasies.)

Ken is an awesome Barber with great experience. He gave me exactly what I wanted, and was very professional and respectful. I really appreciate the amount of years experience these guys have, as I trust what they do much better than others. I will definitely return for future haircuts.

Awesome... Been here a lot of times... AL (Allen) today cut my hair.. He has a total of 50+ years experience as a barber. I like it because its old school and they are detailed and perfectionists.

Ive never waited, theyre always fast and they do a good job with cutting hair. No complaints. Its a masculine place so dont expect a headrub or a hot towel. They have TVs but youre not there log enough to watch anything so just accept youre watching a show about fishing.

I highly recommend this shop, great barber with a great since for the customers.

Went in for a haircut and asked for a high fade as soon as he started fading up I knew something wasn’t right. Looked good from a distance in the chair but as soon as I got home I noticed one side of my head was different lengths all around. 25 bucks gone and had to find another barber who could fix the damage. Very disappointing

I have gotten my hair cut there on several occations since I was 2. Paul does an excellent job with my hair and is really patient with little kids that can not sit still. I would recommend this barber shop

I’ll just finish my haircut at home in the mirror myself. After telling Paul (a very nice man) that I wanted it short it started to feel like he was taking nothing off. I spun the chair so I could see what was going on (the only time I was facing the mirror) and told him again to not be afraid to cut it short. I felt like Tim Conway was cutting my hair! My hair was literally growing back as fast as he was cutting it! I’m sure I’ll regret posting this because it IS just hair, but c’mon, Paul, to get the length I wanted and asked for twice, I would have needed to pay for FOUR separate haircuts from you the same day. $76.00 plus tip? No thanks!

Did not have to wait on a Saturday morning. Has 3 friendly barbers on staff. Showed my barber a picture of the haircut I wanted and he cut it just like the picture.

Went to get a Hair cut and told the guy what I wanted. A taper fade with a fohawk with lines on both sides. Being a barber shop I would think they could but apparently showing them a picture as well as describing it does not help as I now have a messed up hair cut and a crooked line that makes no sense as how it was already imprinted in my hair line.

Absolutely worth the money. I have incredibly unruly hair, and he didnt quit until it looked great.

Been going here for a long time, since they were actually in Cedarvale shopping center. They do a great job with mens hair, I wear a flattop, which I guess is too much for the stylists at Fantastic Sams or Great Cuts to handle.

Over the last 20 some odd years that I remember getting my hair cut, between barbers on the military side and civilian side, Ive never seen more attention to detail and Royale barbershop service than with cedarvale barbers. Always looking forward to the warm lather and straight edge touch up that comes with my high and tight, and since I was a little boy Ive always been able to rely on the quality service they offer.
