I went for a walk in pedicure and manicure and was very happy with the service. There are hundreds of colors to choose from, regular or gel polish, dips, foils, etc. Pedicure includes a foot soak, massage chair, scrub, lotion and massage making for a great feeling for my feet. The person doing my nails took their time shaping them to perfection. I got some simple nail art as well, which I was very satisfied with. Would recommend and come again.

I have taken my 95 year old mother to Ruby Nails for the last few years. We desperately missed them during quarantine! The entire staff is wonderful, they are so accommodating and helpful getting her into the shop and setting her up in the pedicure chair. I can’t say enough good things about them!

Thuy was a godsend! She helped repair a less than marvelous nail job from a previous salon. She reshaped the nail structure to complement my nail bed. The coats are smooth and even- no lumpy nails. Finding a technician that cares truly makes a difference. This salon offers creativity and quality at affordable prices.

I lived in the triangle a little over a year ago and came to this nail salon for 2 years. I absolutely loved it and I loved jimmy, he was my favorite. Flash forward to today where I drove 2 hours to treat myself for Valentine’s Day and unfortunately jimmy has moved. However even after a year, the staff remembered me and updated me on jimmy and I had my appointment done with Van (I think) and was not let down AT ALL! I will always recommend this place, ALWAYS! I can’t wait to come back!

So I came in today at 5:16 pm and was greeted quickly and warmly. Right after picking out a color, I was seated and helped. I wanted a gel manicure with my natural nails, and that is exactly what my nail technician gave me. I THINK his name was Mr. Dee, I’m not quite sure. I know he did an amazing job! I am so happy with the turn out. He was also very sweet. He took his time and was completely thorough. I was out of there by 6:26 pm. I will most definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!!! 😁😁😁

Terrible experience they cut my nails completely down when I asked to just do a little bit, asked to have them filed square and they’re completely round. Like they were so short it hurt. I’m very self conscious about my feet and I’m disgusted I wasted $50. First time in my life that I didn’t tip. Also I never take the time to leave negative reviews but I’m extremely unhappy.

This place is wonderful! Best place I have found around the area that does excellent work for a reasonable price! I told the lady what I wanted and she made it look better than I expected!

The experience felt disorganized. I switched between 2 separate nail techs several times during my manicure. The credit card machine was down, which I understand is not their fault, but it was an inconvenience to have to wait for staff to finally approach me about giving me their Venmo information. There were several times I was waiting for many minutes while they attended to other customers/issues. A dip powder manicure shouldn’t take more than an hour (and even then that’s a stretch), but I was there for 1.5 hours. They also did not have a great collection of dip powder colors to choose from.

Tui did my nails and she did AMAZING. They were flexible with booking times, super covid safe. Offered me snacks and drinks including wine. And my nails look SO GOOD. Her attention to detail is insane. This is my new spot

Awesome service and very skilled nail techs!Let me start by saying I did not mean to be one of these people but I came in as a walk in a little bit later than I expected and I wasnt sure how long it would take for me to get a full set because some places are quicker than others. I had never been here before.I had a simple design as you can see in the pictures. Two of the techs stayed past about an hour after they closed just to get my nails done! I think they did an excellent job. They did not rush or make any mistakes. I am incredibly grateful for their patience and their willingness to work with me even though I did not mean to be difficult. They did not give me any attitude or express that it inconvenienced them at all even though I would not blame them if they did. I felt very bad for making them stay over!On top of that they all had a great sense of humor. All of the other customers there seemed like they felt right at home. I highly recommend this place and will most likely be coming back!PS The all orange with grey stripe in the middle is supposed to resemble a high visibility orange safety vest because I work in construction. I mostly did it as a joke 😂 but the shape and pointiness is perfect! They do awesome stilleto nails

This is going to be my new nail salon. They took me as a walk in and my nail professional was Twee. I am probably not spelling that right. But she is hilarious and very personable. I got SNS and she really knew her stuff. I like that she was gentle on my poor hands since I am sensitive due to all the meds I take. She made me feel relaxed and I enjoyed my time here. I will be back in 2 weeks. I have taken a shot of my left had the day of and my right a few days later and the nails still look great. Ignore my actual chubby paws. Lol

Spend that 💵 amd get the extras its worth it and as for Jimmy.....he will beat those dog back into shape.

Jimmy and crew are some of the best. Although definitely 5 stars to Jimmy and his gel nail texhnique. Nice welcome upon arrival. Good service, beautiful nail color choices, especially a sparkle technique I had not seen before. (I chose Black 02, which is dark matte base color with shimmer effect applied on top). Staff are friendly and efficient. This place may be small but it is definitely worth visiting!

Didn’t mind waiting because I was a walk in. Offered something to drink which was nice.But just left my appointment and the side of my foot was burning because the tech filed (no grater used - one of those metal files) my foot too much and now it’s red and inflamed. She also messed up my polish by putting my shoes on after she polished and didn’t fix it. Most people put my flip flops on prior to polishing. Also spent the entire time I was there listening to the owner be snarky with the lady beside me.

JIMMY IS THE BEST. you will not find someone who does a better job with the color and cuticles. and this is coming from someone who has lived in NYC.

I love this salon. Ive only been a handful of times, but the people are always really nice, and they do a great job on my nails. I appreciate that it never smells like a nail salon too. I also feel like they have reasonable prices.

This is the best manicure spot in Durham. All the staff have a phenomenal eye for detail, and I am always extremely pleased with the quality and longevity of my gel manicures. The color selection for gel polish is great, and they get new stuff in fairly frequently. They have steadily been getting busier since they opened, so I always try to call ahead now instead of walking in, but Im glad that people are discovering this gem!

It has taken me so long to find a great nail salon to stick with and even after my first visit here I knew I had found the right place! They are so professional and welcoming, and REASONABLE! Great quality work, all of the staff is great but Jimmy always makes sure I am taken care of and happy with my service. He is amazing and very sweet, as all staff are. I also love that give 10% off to students! All of the staff works very hard to provide quality service to customers. I have been there several times now, and have not had one bad experience. The man who did my nails REEKED of alcohol! He also teased me inappropriately and made me feel uncomfortable. I came in for a mani-pedi and left after wasting $50– I could’ve done a better job myself! Wasted my time and money today. Will not be returning.

I recently moved back to Durham and decided to try Ruby nails. First of all, I made an appointment and they didnt start my pedi until being there for 45 minutes. The lady who did S&M did a sloppy job because there was nail polish that was left to drive outside of my nail. Also, there were particle spots on some of my nails and she was trying to tell me it was glitter when all my nails didnt look that way and I didnt get a glitter polish. In addition to that, I usually get my nails done every 4 weeks because it last so long. I noticed my nails started cracking just 2 weeks in.

I came here to get a pedi and the person cut my cuticle so much it was bleeding, I was in a little bit of pain during the treatment. When I got home it started bleeding more and the pain did not go away. I am hoping it does not get infected. When I called to ask for a refund the manager Twee gave me a lot of attitude. She told me these things happen. What? I dont go and pay for pedis so I can be cut. She checked into the situation called me back and told me that they dont give refunds because the labor was expended. When I told her that is unacceptable she reluctantly said she would try to work out a refund. Then she said I bet you try to get refunds all the time. Ruby nails is unprofessional and a disgrace. Not only did they injure me they also insulted me after the incident. As if I go around to nail salons hoping I get cut so I can get a refund........

Ive been getting my nails done at Ruby Nail Spa since relocating to NC in July. The salon is great, the staff is friendly. Every time Ive gotten my nails done, Ive had a great experience!

I chose Ruby Nails based on the reviews on both Google and Yelp. When I pulled up this morning, I was skeptical, because it doesnt look like much on the outside, or even really upon first impression when walking in. They werent busy (3 other women in the shop), and so I was attended to right away. From start to finish, June (not sure of spelling), my technician, was amazing. She spent so much time on both my pedi and gel mani, and my nails look great. She took the time to check and make sure the nails on both hands were the length/shape I wanted, and checked with me both after the first and second coats to make sure I liked the color. Not sure if service will be the same on a busy weekend, but it was amazing for me as a walkup this Monday morning, and very reasonably priced for the area, too. They run a Mon-Wed special discount, so my total was $52 before tip! Will definitely come back and request June again!

They were SO fast getting my nails done when I came in with limited time and badly needing a mani and pedi.I wish there was a TV or something to look at as you got your nails done, but that’s not a huge deal.

I just moved to the area and I saw that there was a nail shop near where I lived. I was looking to get my nails done as soon as possible before the 4th of July and I called them and asked to make an appointment for SNS nails with gel polish on toes no pedicure. They were able to accommodate me the same evening at 6pm, which I was excited about. I preceded to ask how much would the gel polish cost the woman said $20. When I got there the atmosphere was nice. I told them I had an appointment for a gel polish change on my toes & SNS nails. I preceded to pick out my SNS color form the displayed nails. When I was called to set in the chair, the woman Thuy (co owner) retrieved the powder. I preceded to question her about the different color the powder was in compared to the mannequins’ nail. She reassured me that once it’s on my finger the color would be lighter. She then continue to wrap my nails in foil to soak and directed me to the pedicure area for my gel polish change. I asked for a color that would match closely with the SNS color. After my toes were polish, I was then directed to the man (co-owner) Jimmy I believe his name to be. He started doing my nails and as he was doing my nails I tried to explain to him that the color was not like the color on the displayed nails. He tried to reassure me that once the top cost was applied that it would be lighter. When he got to the third nail I asked him if he could look at the displayed nail compared to my nails. He then begans to blow and walk to the cabinet and saw that it was the wrong shade. He begans to throw something on the table and come back to where I was and ask “what did I want to do?” I asked if there was another color we can use to best match my toes and he said no. So I asked to do all gold instead. He began to huff && puff to the point I had to ask him if I did anything wrong. He said no but he’s upset that the color was the wrong one. We sat in silence the remainder of my time in his chair. Then I was ask to pay. Thuy said $60 && I asked about the price for each of my SNS & gel polish toes. Jimmy then told the woman no it’s $70. Before I could leave the shop I cried cried and cried because I have never be so mistreated. Thuy said she would call me when they open back up on the 8th of July since I worked the next day. I still have not received a phone call from anyone. I believe in giving people chances so this is why I waited to do this review 2 weeks later.

Horrible experience. It took three hours for my nails to be done because the first guy messed up and put the acrylic on crooked. Were so rude and kept laughing when the guy messed up. A lady came and fixed them without talking to me. Rude, a slow, poor selection.
