The BEST nail spa in the area! Im ALWAYS satisfied when I leave. Its best to make an appointment, especially now. Linh is seriously the most talented nail tech and works magic on my toes! She takes her time and pays attention to details. I really love this location. They normally provide wine or champagne but now only soda because of the pandemic. Go! Youll be happy you did!

This was my first visit here. I went with my cousin, who recommended this location to me. The personnel are friendly and the services offered are awesome! I chose the Paradise Spa pedicure. I truly felt pampered! My nail tech was Nolly and my cousins nail tech was Linda. They are both awesome! I highly recommend both of these nail techs along with this Spa location. Great place to visit if youre in the mood to really be pampered!

Its great if you go on a none busy day. Went in to get a mani & pedi 85 dollars plus.. Hands were rushed & polish is sloppy! Water was cold by the time the lady started my Pedi.. I wont be going back. They move so fast to get customers in that the quality of work isnt important.

This has been my local nail salon for several years. I appreciate their covid policies, cleanliness, and relaxing atmosphere (even when they are very busy). I love their lavender pedicure and I also have used many of their technicians and never had a negative experience in 5+ years

Fast service. Great massage chairs. I’ve had a better pedicure for 60 bucks but the nail painting was good, not so much on the heel.

The person who did my pedicure was rude, rushed and rough. She was abrupt and nicked me twice and seemed irritated when I reacted. She pushed my feet back into the water and barked commands at me. The polish was applied poorly. The water was cold and when I asked the f we could make it a little warmer she said I should come back during the week when they weren’t as busy. She didn’t remove any rough skin. All around horrible. Never going back there. However, my friend had a very nice and personable manicurist. Although, she was done in about two seconds.

Absolute worst manicure I have had in my life! No exaggeration. I was cut multiple times by the nail tech leaving my fingers burning and sore. The paint job almost made me weep it was so awful and to top it off the nail salon was filthy! I was surprised by that due to being in the middle of a pandemic. But that is why I am here warning you! I was offered 10% off for my complaints and rushed out the door. I gave this nail salon 3 different tries each visit got continuously worse. Just want those to know I vetted this place out. Extremely disappointed.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! First of all, I NEVER been to a nail salon where I had to tell the “technician” what to do. Her shaping was horrible. I got what was supposed to be French Tips & she left white all on the side of my nails, I had to ask her to remove it. It don’t make no sense & it’s my birthday.

Ive been going to La Vie for years now. They use to provide exceptional service. The last few years Ive noticed a decline but I chose to keep patronizing the salon out of convenience. I think I am done now. I had a gel polish color change from the absolute rudest nail tech this afternoon. She was handling my nails roughly so I firmly but respectfully told her she was causing me discomfort. She must have been offended by me, a Black woman, having the audacity to advocate for myself because she responded rudely. Anyway, I wont recount the back and forth but suffice to say, the behavior should be considered unacceptable in a service setting. That said, I dont think I will return anytime soon. I dont pay people to treat me badly. Do with this information what you will.

Came here on 28May2018 and 30May2018 to get a wax and then the SNS and pedicure (lavender spa treatment). I had an appointment but got there early and they took me back right away. You dont really need an appointment, they usually are able to bring you back within a reasonable amount of time. They did a great job with my brows so I decided to come back and get nails done.The SNS is really neat and is projected to stay for 2-3 weeks. For those who dont know the SNS is a series of different powders that they seal per layer, buff and then at the end they put on a top coat. You can get an artificial nail put on along with getting your cuticles cut for an additional cost.the regular service cost $45 and does not take a long time to dry. This was my first time getting this service so I was nervous but went for it. I work in a lab and I am an aerialist, so I am rough on my hands. So far this has been great! The picture is after 2 days of work and 2 hours of dance class and they still look great. My feet also still look and feel amazing after 2 hours of dance! I got the lavender spa treatment for $39.If you are considering getting your nails done please go here. The service was great and the technician took her time and did not rush me. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience after a long hard day.

Went with my fiancée and their prices are super high. She got a manicure and pedicure and I got a pedicure . We paid $200, good quality work but high price .

I was visiting from NJ. My sister recommended La Vie Nail Spa. As we entered, we were greeted in a pleasant comforting manner. I walk with a cane & everyone was very accomodating. Peter & Stephanie are very skilled and talented. Once I relocate to this area, La Vie will definitely be my nail place of choice.

The service was great when I started going here a year ago. A few months ago, I started getting the same tech each time. She is rough, rushed and over charges. A gel fill-in and one nail tip was $50, and the quality of the work was not good. When I switched to a new salon the next month, they removed my polish and found fungus on almost every nail. Im guessing some of the nail techs are good at La Vie, but be warned.

The salon is taking more precautions regarding Covid than Ive seen other salons do. The price of my nail service was more than I typically pay at other nail salons, however it was done in a timely manner, and my nails turned out beautifully. I will go be going back :)

I felt very safe here during COVID times but this was the worst pedicure I’ve ever had. Ivy did my pedicure and literally I was there for maybe 10 minutes. I felt I paid $32 to basically get my toenails painted. No massage, no clipping of my cuticles, literally was terrible! Plus instead of a gentle tap to put my foot up it was a very aggressive slap and made me feel like she was in a rush to get the next tip. Don’t recommend Ivy here at all!

Girlfriend loves it for her gel manicures -- affordable, friendly, and even at peak hours theyre efficient without being rough.

Staff were nice, the male manager is a little dramatic, $53 for short acrylic fullset, which ai have never paid that much for anywhere. My nails are uneven in length and they look lumpy after the polish has been applied. I would not recommend for a fullset.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is perfect, best of all they were quick! The place was pretty full when I got there but people were tended to fast. I got a pedicure by Mia, who was a sweetheart and she did the best job. I definitely plan for this to be my new spot!

I have been coming to La Vie Nail Spa for several years...and, it was the first place I booked a pedicure when spas opened up again. Vinnie, the owner, told me he took 2 weeks to u tube and then carefully follow instructions to build wooden frames that held protective vinyl sheets. When you arrive, with mask on, You wait distanced outside, until Vinnie or manager John, take your temperature. The next step is to sanitize and then wash your hands.My esthetician was Myra and she was excellent. Having done 8 NYC marathons, and run for years, my toe nails are always a challenge. Walked out with happy feet..

The experience was awful for my first time. My nails look like they have been done for a week!! Plus they over charged me. I also had to ask her to remove the dead skin off my feet!!

First time at this place and I was more than satisfied! Im a man with size 15 feet and Fiona did a phenomenal job. As a man, I have been rushed through plenty of times because manicurists assume men dont get their feet done, but she took her time and has a great eye for detail. She just got a return customer.

This is an amazing nail salon that is clean and professional. Great service offerings. I only use the pedicures but they are the best. The hot wax foot dip is incredible. My wife does her nails as well and is always happy. We come here anytime we are feeling stressed. The free wine helps as well.

I am pretty new to this business but I love it there. I am very happy with Ana and the way she does my nails. There pedis are amazing and just a whole different level of luxury. The salon is very clean and very modern. Beautiful, roomy and all the staff is very nice and accommodating.

The front desk needs a bit of improvement as far as customer service, but the staff is nice and does a good job. I came on a slow day, so perhaps the service was superb because the nail tech did not feel a sense of urgency. However, this has been one my best nail salon experiences in Durham since recently relocating here.

This place fixes prices as they deem necessary and depending on who services you. You can never get one set price. Extra $5 dollars for a fill with longer nails, extra $5 for cut down, extra $5 to remove gel polish!!! By the time they are done tacking all the extra $5 on to your service, you could have gotten a full set and pedicure and another respectable nail spa in the area! One plus/delta: They offer a rewards program where you can earn money off future services.

Ive gone to LA Vie several times and it is always hit or miss. Sometimes I love my manicure and pedicure and some times I think I could scrub my foot calluses better myself or in todays instance a nail technician was seriously trying to claim her work was complete with 2 coats of light colored nail polish. Everyone and their mama knows that light colored polish needs 3 coats of color to be opaque. You dont need a nail degree for that. Right now, I am looking for another salon with more consistent quality.I will say that everyone I know that receives services from Linda has aways been satisfied. I have never received her services.

We truly enjoyed our services given by Ms. Jamie and Ms. Angel. They provided excellent customer service and was very helpful on how to maintain the care of our feet. Their interactions with their clients was quite comforting as well. We will definitely be back for more services. Thanks again!

Originally went to La Vie because it was recommended to me and ended up being a customer for 2 years! I really enjoyed working with Kimberly. She always did a great job. I recently stopped going to La Vie because of recurring incidents with my nails and how poorly it was handled. I had to visit la vie 3 times in 2 weeks to get my nails fixed. My nails broke 1-2 days after just getting them done, each time! The first two times, even though I shouldn’t have, I made an appointment to get them fixed and paid for them! The third time I was fed up that I had to go AGAIN and called to complain and ask that I don’t have to pay this time to have them fixed. They didn’t seem thrilled, but let it happen. So, I come and Kimberly wasn’t available. So, I saw Vivian. She was rude, didn’t smile not once, had a sour look on her face the entire time, she was unbelievably rough and did not do a quality job. She was tough on my cuticles, the drill slipped a couple times and my nails were burning. She drilled so far down on my nails that as they grew out I could see a red line across my nails. This was my last straw. So, after two years, I am disappointed to say that I had to make the decision to go elsewhere. In the two years I went there I always paid their expensive prices, I came every 2-3 weeks, I always tipped and had made many referrals to the salon. Overall, La Vie was wonderful in the beginning but the service and quality has dwindled over the past couple years. ☹️

This is my go to nail spot! The staff are very friendly and get to me quickly. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm. I think the pricing is very reasonable. My pedicures last for a very long time - I usually need to go because my nails have gotten too long and not because the paint is damaged.

This was my first visit to this salon. I was impressed by the sanitary changes they announced on ther FB page so I felt comfortable going there.The price list on their website must be outdated. I got a full set, no shape-basic square with gel polish (they only offer gel polish due to Covid) I also paid extra to have my cuticles clipped. Imagine my shock when I go to pay and she says $64! Their online price list says full set is 37 and 11 for cuticle removal. I understand prices went up after Covid but that does not add up! On top of that my nails are wide and not shaped well. Very disappointed and will not return.

First time back after Covid-19, they did an excellent job making sure everyone was safe and germ-free. I am very disappointed at the pedicure I received.& themoney I paid for my feet to look worst thanwhen I came in. Bottom line I got a foot soak and a nice polish job

I cannot attest to their other services, but I was very dissatisfied with the results of my eyebrow waxing. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded by wanted to try waxing again for a cleaner look. I described that I did not want brows that were too thin and wanted a simple, natural arch. The results were two brows of COMPLETELY DIFFERENT size and shape. Now I can look forward to a month of filling in and concealing brows everyday.

I had a green tea pedicure which was awesome!The atmosphere is awesome and the facility is clean.However, my manicure doesnt look so great. I ended up having to trim my own cuticle later because they werent neat and clean looking. I would go back for a pedicure. Especially since they offer different ones.

I went for the first time. I was impressed with the pedicure but they scrubbed my feet so much as it was happening it felt good. Well by the time I got home and I looked at the bottom of my feet they were peeling from all the scrubbing. I noticed a cut on the bottom of my foot from the scrubbing, and it hurts to walk! I will not be going back.

I visit La Vie at least twice a month and love every experience. I go to Alejandra for both my gel manicure and pedicure services and every visit is satisfactory! Not to mention, everything is sanitary and in tip top shape. Gel polish lasts for weeks and complementary drink choice is a plus! Love this place!!

The facility is immaculate. The techs are all fantastic. I have been coming here for a few years and there is very little staff turn-over, which is a good indication of how employees are treated. A complimentary glass of champagne, the strongest massage chairs I have ever sat in, and HGTV playing on the TVs - it is a perfect spot for a little relaxation.

I would give zero if I could had the worst experience there yesterday!! Went as a walk-in had been before and loved it. Asked if I could be served by the same tech I had last visit was told she had one scheded appointment ahead of me. I understood that and told the guy Ill wait walked over to the drugs came back and she was still with her client which appeared to be wrapping up. One lady puts me in soak to wait she had an attitude. My friend that went with me proceed with their pedicure. My lady never came over then at 720pm (they close at 730) she comes and tell me that she has too many clients...really!! If the guy at the front is the owner he should have told me that so that someone else could have done my pedicure. The whole event was a nightmare but Never again!

Went here at 7:30pm on a Friday night (they close at 8) I thought for sure they would turn me away. It was packed in there! they didnt turn me away -I did wait a few minutes but it was no problem. They got me set for a pedicure as soon as they wiped everything down. I even got a glass of wine. They open a new package for each custom -I appreciate how clean it is. It was a great pedicure, I never felt rushed and they really took their time. Cindy did my nails, over a week of wearing flip flops and my toes still look like I just got them done.

I get my nails done here regularly. Most nail technicians are experienced, considerate and very neat. SNS and gel manicures in my experience are some of the best on town - and very reasonably priced. My favorite technician is Tai.

Really relaxing atmosphere, and genuinely good customer service. Some of the nail techs are not as chatty as others, but those who are are super sweet like Ale & Delmi. Super easy to walk in or call ahead for bookings. They always offer a beverage like tea or water, and have a menu for other drinks too!

Great experience my husband and I recvived Pedicure our appointment was made and we was able to get our services right away. They take their time on your feet, it does not feel rushed. We received the green tea, and Lavender pedicure the prices was great and a drink is included. This is our new shop for now on.

I have been to this nail salon in the past and had an wonderful experience...Today however was AWFUL. I went in for a full set with gel polish and a polish change on my toes. My nail tech waited until the last minute to ask what color polish I wanted and rushed me to make the decision. I asked for coffin shaped nails and however the shape I received is uneven and blocky. She did not apply a base coat for my gel polish. After polishing my nails using the gel polish she filed the sides of all my nails, ripping the gel polish off the sides. After she was done with my full set she walked me to the register to pay without painting my toes. When I asked about my toes she stated that she would not do them and informed me I would have to wait for another tech to become available for the service and pay separately. I left the salon only 15 minutes ago and my gel polish is already messing up.

I used too love this salon. I usually get the same services constantly, however I’m noticing huge inconsistencies with pricing. I feel up charged for basic service. Unfortunately I was very turned off by my most recent experience, because I felt tricked and decieved that I don’t think I will be returning.

They do a good job on nails. What I dont get is they charge extra money to take off your polish when you get a gel polish change. Isnt that part of a gel polish change, you have to take off the old stuff? Why do you have so many different charges ?Also my gel nails chipped so fast when I got them done here!

First time I went, I found out Im very sensitive to their scrub on my legs. The woman doing my pedicure did everything she could to try and help relieve my symptoms and she was very understanding of what i was going through. The next time i went, i asked to just have the scrub on my feet and the pedicurist respected and remembered by request. Its so nice and the neck rests feel soo good! Im trying ti bring my mom with me next time!

I didnt get what I asked for and the tech was super rough. Nails looked horrible and turned out yellow when they were suppose to be pink. The job on my eyebrows looked great but once again, she was super rough. The only employee there that was polite and helping was the man running the front desk and bar. Dont think Ill be going back.

My first time here I had the Paradise pedicure. Maria is absolutely wonderful as she did an amazing job! I also enjoyed the peach moscato. I will definitely be back.

So let me start off by saying this was the WORST pedicure Ive ever had. I walked in and they took me right away which was nice. The women started to do my pedicure and while she was removing the nail polish from my toes and I hear her say oops and look down and my pinky toenail is in her hands, she took that thing clean off. She apologized which of course was awesome. Then she started grating away the dead skin off my feet. I told her I had a callus on my foot, it was clearly visible, but to not touch it because it hurt very very bad. She said okay and then not two seconds later she starts grating on the callus. I simply said, Oh there is my callus please dont do that it hurts very badly. She said, Oh so sorry I wont. Then not five seconds later she started grating on it again, I was almost hopping out of the chair at this point it was hurting so bad. Then, when I got home, I realized at some point she cut my foot with who knows what. The cut is pretty deep and it is hurting pretty bad. Then, to top it off, while she was putting the polish on she painted on my skin where the toenail use to be. Also even after all of this I still had to pay full price for this terrible pedicure. So from my experience I will NEVER be going here again, and I would never recommend them to anyone at all.
