Felt safe and secure having an OPI manicure and pedicure (after 10 weeks of doing it so badly myself!!) with the amazing Ursula at this super salon. With Covid-19 safety rules firmly in place this salon and my beauty therapist Ursula followed the guidelines to the letter and still made the whole experience relaxing and so enjoyable, extremely professional but warm and friendly too. I suffer from arthritis and am retired (so no spring chicken) but this lovely lady made my hands and feet very pretty again. Thank you. Have already booked my next OPI gel appointments and my kids (grown up and long gone) are booking their 60 year old dad in for a treat for Fathers Day with both a manicure and pedicure! I went to Aura and had my hair cut. This was a completely different style from what I had. I was very nervous because I took a lot of hair off. While I was there the staff was very nice. They made me feel very comfortable. The owner even came over to check on me to make sure that I was happy. I can say that this will be my new salon for life, and anyone out there that is looking for a new stylist or day spa this is the place to go. Decoration is beautiful. A big phrase painted on a back wall, the green cloud mural they have at the reception is astonishing; you need to see it for yourself. Overall, I had a great experience!!!!

Betty is the BEST lady for lash extensions! Every time I had my lashes done by her they were beautiful, lasted well, had no redness and no pain! She also gives really good advice for taking care of them. 100% recommend Betty!

Several types of beauty and barber services under one roof. The salon is very comfortable. For nails, I highly recommend Felicia. She does not use a drill and my nails are healthier as a result.

The place is tucked away behind a boutique gift shop, but is impressive in its design and scale. The salon is very busy, so walk-ins are not advised. But we made an appointment, and her hair came out looking great. The hairdresser connected on a personal level, and the prices were normal. Only suggestion to the business owner is to clearly mark the door when the boutique is not open.

One of Durhams best hair salons, barber shops, and day spas. They have an amazing staff and you leave feeling relaxed and well taken care of. There is also an adjacent boutique ~ Azani which offer womens and childrens high fashion clothing. A great place to locate specialty designs for many occasions.

I came to Aura last Thursday, Aug. 8th. This would be my third install with Vee at this shop.First time shampoo, install,and style was 165.00(I kept it in for 2.5 months),second time 130.00 (kept in for 2 months)for install and style, this most recent weave 130.00 install and style.i want to add that I like her work,I little on the pricey side but I was willing because I like the natural look. I brought my net protector and needle..she didnt require, I just had it and if I have it she was more than welcome to use it.i love my hair upon leaving that night but it was tight,it seemed as though it got tighter over night and I used Naproxen throughout the following day,however,the pain came right back as the meds were off.the first night into my weave I had to ask my daughter to take my weave out because I couldnt even sleep..I had the worst headache. I text Vee the next day about having to remove the weave and she eventually text back to say I should have left it in and she would have maybe taken a couple out but not redo my whole head..mind you,the entire weave was too tight,there was tension throughout, thats why I had my daughter take it all out. I respect her time and would have never expected to get another full sew in for free but after coming to her for sew ins for a while I did expect for her to come up with something that would have been agreeable to us both.SHE SAID ANOTHER 130.00.IF I COME BACK TO HER.i told her thats not right for one day of me keeping it in.she never reached back out to me,she left me hanging. She should remember that she not only represent herself but Aura Beauty salon as well. Its not good to have an I dont care mentality. Its about striving to keep your business .

Booked an appointment on groupon a week in advance. It was confirmed by email and phone call. The morning of my appointment I received a text saying that she could not do my lashes because she do not stay past 6pm. However, your online booking allowed me to book at 5:00pm. Im thinking at this point you all are unorganized. She fit me in the next day before my travel but the lashes felt like wire and was all over the place. First and last time going there! I tipped out of habit but I should not have.....the staff was very nice.
