I had a dental cleaning with Ms. Marlene. She was great! She took her time and took special care of my teeth. Dr. Thaiya was very thorough. The staff as a whole was very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend this dental office to anyone looking for dental service.

I’ve been going to various DentFirst’s for years. I’ve always had problems with billing. I get a surprise bill in the mail after every visit. I’ve thought about changing dentists but I really loved their hygienist. I’m sensitive with my teeth and they’ve all done a great job. I just learned to deal with the fact that the office staff are sweet but maybe didn’t pay attention in their billing and coding class. Until today I met Cynthia at the Duluth office. She’s awesome! She took the time to explain to me why I kept getting bills. She made sure that I was billed right and paid the right co-pay. The Duluth office will now be my primary office.

I have been coming here for the past few years.I love my hygienist Michelle!I lost my job and had to buy insurance from the marketplace and when I called to make an appointment, the front desk person instantly goes “the marketplace doesn’t pay us”. She didn’t even offer any type of payment plan or anything. I would’ve been self pay if I needed to.I’m very disappointed. All I wanted was a cleaning.

Yesterday, I had to go to the Duluth office for oral surgery. I didn’t expect to have the procedure done the same day, but Dr. Davis was able to fit me into her schedule. The staff at this place is the best. Everyone was so nice and friendly from the time I walked in the door. They really took care of me. I really do appreciate it!

First time client. Called and was harassed by person answered phone. It was like I was bothering her by calling to get a routine appointment. She insisted before checking my insurance that their services would not be covered. It was very odd. Also tried to get me to go to a different location eventhough the Duluth office is ten minutes from my house. Very bizarre. If front office is like this. I can’t imagine what the rest of the practice is like. I’m moving on. There’s a dental practice on every corner. Don’t need that aggravation.

Marlene Hemings was amazing!! I went with lots of pain, due to post covid continued issues, she helped me above and beyond, referred me to some help to save money. Treated my niece and I like royalty! Highly recommended staff, all super friendly! Elizabeth

I went to Dent1st in Duluth and I must say that this is the best dental experience I’ve gotten my entire life! Check-in was a breeze, my hygienist was inviting, had a great sense of humor, and was extremely informative about after care for my teeth. She also hooked my goody bag up with lots of different products! And to top it all off, I got a free fluoride treatment just for giving a review (but totally not the reason I’m posting this) Thanks guys!

She is passionate about her work and it is very evident in the results that you get after she is done. She has an attention to detail that I have not seen with other hygienist. A friend referred me to Lisa @ DentFirst in Duluth 12 years ago, and I am forever grateful. Lisa is absolutely the best and does a phenomenal job in cleaning my teeth (so I hope she never retires). But everyone that I have encountered at this office has always been very polite and professional. The establishment is inviting and always clean, so I’m always comfortable. Although I reside more than an hour away, I continue to go the distance because of the exceptional service I’ve received over the years.

They have always been able to schedule me for any emergency appointments, and even walk-ins on Saturday for last minute concerns. I also love their punctuality. Most recently I had an appointment and an odd out of the normal thing happened and my appointment was over looked so I wasn’t able to be seen that day but they didn’t hesitate to make things right. They offered me my choice of an extra service at no cost to me. I thought that was outstanding that they would do more than apologize, proving their sincerity. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Everyone is so nice and not judgmental. I admit I havent treated my teeth well since I was young, and they didnt even blink, just got me xray-ed and root canal-ed within 2 hours of my walk in. It was a bit uncomfortable how much I could feel while they were working on it but the speed at which it was done and life after getting the infected bit out is so worth it. All charges were clearly explained especially when to expect them. Exactly what I need in my life.

Its always a pleasure seeing Marlene. We re always catching up on where we left off last. Its like we re childhood friends. I always look forward to seeing her and exchanging our stories. Shes the best!

Staff was very friendly! Had Tiffany clean my teeth- she was very thorough with my teeth and explained everything she was doing. Nicole in patient services was very flexible with my schedule for future appointments and sat down and discussed payments so there would be no surprises. Overall, great care.

I called and asked for an appointment with Dr. Baek. They said I needed to come in for a consult because it had been awhile since I had been there. I went in for a consult. Then was told that there were no appointments for Dr. Baek for the rest of 2020, this is August 14, 2020. So you knew when I called and asked to see Dr. Baek that he had no available appointments for the next 4 months. Why did you have me come in for a consult knowing I couldn’t get an appointment? They honestly just wanted to Bill my insurance for a visit knowing I couldn’t see the periodontist. I will never go here again. Now I have to take the time to make another consult before I can get the work done I need to get done and my insurance will be billed for a second consult.

I am a new patient and my experience was wonderful! Tiffany gave me my cleaning, she was very sweet and made me fell very comfortable. She even went as far as giving me a blanket while having my teeth cleaned because I was cold. I would definitely recommend!

This location is nearby my office, and passing by several times a week, made me take the confidence to call them. I made an appointment with them and gave a shot. I have to say that I’ve never felt so good in a dentist office. Once I arrived, I just filled up the paperwork, and as soon as I finished, someone was waiting for me to take my panoramic. The doctor was super nice and gave me all the information necessary. I just made an appointment for a quick visit, but she went a mile ahead and made a full deep cleaning for me. Also recognized a couple of further issues, and managed to make a second appointment to check up again after the cleaning and recommended a specialist that I will be visiting this next Friday. I’ve never felt more comfortable and received such an amazing customer service. They are awesome, and very soon I’ll be bringing my wife as well. I deeply recommend this place to anyone that would be looking for a reliable and good dentist.

Also, Mrs. Anderson the patient services representative, was very nice and kind explaining to me my bill and estimated payments and putting it all together for me to understand. This visit was awesome the first couple of visits that my fiance had. He was told what his issues were and needed to have surgery to have it fixed. In the meantime until we could do his surgery we went home. a few days went by and the infection in his tooth came back and he was visibly in excruciating pain. We called up to the office and they gave us a prescription for an antibiotic as well as a pain medicine so we went to the pharmacy to fill it. Here we are the next day, and the pain meds that he was given are 1) not working and 2) they are making him sick. They upset his stomach no matter if he eats with it or not. I called for him to see if we can get something different for him and they refused. I was told that there is nothing stronger that can be given when I know for a fact that that is a lie because I am in the medical field myself. He could have been given Tylenol #3 which is what he was taking for it previously. My fiance also told the staff that he does not do well with pills, however when he told the Dr, the Dr told him that they system wouldnt allow him to do liquid prescriptions, however when the pharmacy had to call (because they are aware of his issue with taking pills) they got the antibiotic switched with no issue. I am aware of the opioid epidemic, and understand the new regulations, however letting a patient suffer with a medication that not only doesnt work, but also makes him sick as his only semi form of relief is just crazySo I see the response, but there is no way to reply to it so I have to edit my review to add this. We just called up there and we spoke to the same lady from yesterday and she got very rude with my fiance. She keeps saying that he can come in for an appointment but he already had an appointment this week and is awaiting surgery. We were still told that the dr does not feel comfortable giving him anything else. We ARE NOT asking for anything to be called in I will pick it up on my way home from work, and they are still refusing to give him anything else to help. My fiance was up all night last night sick from the medicine because he had no choice but to take it or just lay there in excruciating pain - either way he didnt sleep. His face is swollen and he can barely talk, and he should not have to live like this until his surgery. I WILL BE CONTACTING A LAWYER AND PURSUING LEGAL ACTION IF THIS IS NOT RESOLVED IN A TIMELY FASHION.
