Someone else was driving my vehicle and it was impounded. I went to pick it up 15 hours later and they charged me for two days worth of storage when technically it was there less than 24 hours. After complying with all of the proven documents and paying the outlandish fees I have to drive 10 min to a different location to pick up my vehicle. I get the location and the driver says he has an emergency call and drives off. I call and needless to say the poor lady that answered the phone received and ear full. She told me someone would be there in 6-7 minutes. Which of course it took longer. She tells me that he did have an emergency it was a police call. Well CLEARLY LADY the police impounded my vehicle and the person who was driving it had a valid license. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I had property taken from my vehicle and they refuse to give me answers. I’ve waited 7 days and every time I call they say the manager isn’t there or that they had to talk to the driver. I’m missing $200 worth of belongings from my vehicle and the only people who had access to it was the police and the tow company. I even have picture evidence that it was in the vehicle when they took it and that it’s missing. I definitely would not go with this company for anything and make sure to check your vehicle for items that you don’t want stolen before they tow it!

I have lived in the city of Lincoln park almost my whole life, and every time I needed a tow or tire change ( trust me multiple times) Lincoln park city towing would take a really long time to arrive and their employees are really rude… Since goch & sons took over I called them for a 2 mile tow. Their dispatch was really cooperative and the employee I believe his name was Sean He was very very helpful and for now on calling them for their tow service. !

These people went through Detroit on the lodge and towed all the cars off the side of the road. Then said Michigan state police told them too. Was a lie didnt want to tell me where they were and I had to wait two days to get it. I reported it stolen. Triple A went to get my car and said it wasnt there. After finding the car this is what they did to my vehicle and they didnt want me to take pictures of it.

Pam is delightful. Im sure most people give this place a bad review because of whats happening with their car. I wasnt pleased about the car situation either, but she went above and beyond to assist me and was very helpful. She made me feel a lot better.

If you can call any other tow company i prefer them you cant get anything out the vehicle without paying and they charge $400 for 1 day of tow and impound and they will not notify you of car being impounded or towed my car was towed without my knowledge

Hasn’t even been 24hrs my car was brought here and they charged me $500... front desk was very rude. STAY AWAY if able to!! I asked why it was so expensive and her exact response was “we don’t work for free” and left it at that.

Saw news article about this company and how they took advantage of a situation. Shameful absolutely shameful Im sure they just laugh about it and could care less but no wonder they have 2.7 stars.

NO STARS! Its pretty bad that when my truck got wrecked that DPD felt it was fine to tow my truck with these jerks rather than with my AAA truck that showed up only minutes behind these slimes, second off, they tried everything to keep my truck knowing that it was not heavily damaged, had TONS of good parts, and was still able to be driven. They gave me trouble about going to get my things from my truck because it was in my husbands name. Got my husband there after he got off work and he signed the release form to give my truck to Geico(Geicos tow truck driver said he used to work here and left due to how slimy they are!). Get about halfway back home to Toledo, OH and had to head back because they refused to let Geico take my truck out of the yard without my husband there...WHY SIGN A RELEASE FORM IF YOU WONT RELEASE IT! While waiting for them to let Geico get the truck...some girls were having a similar issue with their dads car, and they lived clear across the U.S! I felt so bad for them and prayed that they take these scum down! We ended up following our driver back to our house to ensure there were no more issues! Its pretty bad when your driver who works for another company(still towing vehicles) states how slimy he knew they were and was shocked at their piss poor behavior! DPD is no better! Next time Im in an accident, screw calling 911...Im calling AAA and waiting for the tow truck before I call emergency! Michigan is so shallow that they cant even get their insurance right...sure we will give you a paper saying your insured after you pay us an obscene amount of money and we wont actually pay you for any damages, but you can always count on us to raise your insurance cost! Glad I moved out of this piss poor state! OH and to take the cake...they removed my truck plates knowing that we were buying the truck back from Geico, and said they removed them so the truck could go to their auction! Thieves! May God show them what they are doing to others, and then let them suffer for eternity knowing they had more than enough chances to change their ways! SINNERS WORK HERE! The pictures I attached was before the accident, but as you can see, I have a very nice older model truck. The damage was only a pushed in brushguard and grill and a slightly bent frame! My truck still drives just fine, and we have since then bought a replacement truck(thanks to Geico again for writing us out a beautiful check, which got a replacement ram, a Ford truck, and letting us buy my truck back for only $300!) Please insure your vehicles through someone legit, so that they will take care of you better than these boneheads!

I flipped my car on i94 one morning, and I was incredibly reluctant to have my car being towed, taken, and impounded. Im not the best driver, but of the half dozen or so cars Ive had in the past that have been impounded at some point this yard is the most secure, safe and great. Ive had so much stuff stolen from cars stuck in impound lots in the past It isnt even funny, and every lot just didnt care.I dont always have my car flipped & towed off the freeway against my will, but when I do I know my car will be SAFE and SECURE with Goch & Sons Towing.

I don,t understand some of these negative ratings, my insurance company called Goch to pick up my Mustang. The car was parked in my garage and would not start. The driver arrived early I was not at home he dealt with my wife in a very professional manner. He had to push the car out of the garage, it was facing the wrong way. Loaded it and took it to my mechanic. I wish I knew the drivers name so I could thank him in person. I think they did a great job.

Terrible attitudes, and are prone to mistakes. My car was ransacked and basically trashed before i got the chance to give it up for auction. PRAY you never have to deal with them

BUT Careless Driver ... This man was just standing for 10 minutes on my way to back up into a dock.. I asked nicely to move for a little bit while I back up.. But he didnt want to..He said he had to tow some trailer behind him...It took me just 10 minutes to back up and he was just inside the tow truck doing nothing (mocking) while I did. BUT taking chances to hit him and really he didnt care much for his tow truck..

Not sure why this company has so many bad reviews? I had a flat tire this morning on my way home from work, called my insurance company, and within a half hour they arrived. The driver Marcus was a great guy and had me back on the road within 20 minutes from towing me to a gas station and changing the tire. Nice and cool guy, good customer service also. When I originally called they said a driver would be there within a half hour, in which he was. Couldn’t ask for much more. Thanks Marcus and Goch and Sons!

Excellent service! When my car broke down, the lady on the phone was incredibly understanding and had a truck sent out to me. Sean showed up shortly after and was very kind, towed my car quickly and efficiently. Rates were reasonable! Highly recommend and will be using them again!

There operator was extremely helpful an told me they would be there in 30 minutes and they showd in 20 to 25 minutes..awesone

Goch & sons towing are by far the rudest non compassionate people Ive ever met in my life. My seventy-year-old mothers car got towed and when she called they said the towing fee would be $170. The very rude lady in the office was talking to my mom like she was a piece of garbage so I had to get on the phone and explain to her that my mom was 70 years old she cannot talk to her like that. As soon as she found out my mom was 70 years old they bump the price up to $275 for her to get her car out of their yard. Shame shame shame and goch and sons for being such an unprofessional company.

I have to honestly say this place is amazing. Very professional people and super quick! The ladies on the phone are always helpful and the towing guys were fast. I’ve had the best experience every time I go there. I refuse to use any other service.

Im pretty upset about all this but I understand the system and it kind of waists Money on my side.I understand they work with the city or whoever to get vehicles off the road, but no one asked where the vehicle should have been taken. Just picked it up and then I have to pay them, for towing it to their lot. Then pay to get it towed to where it should have been dropped off in the first place.$235 to get it out.$75 gate feeAnother $130 to get it towed to where it should have been dropped.It was a really rough day.Again I understand the system and they have to follow certain codes and stuff, but it was super inconvenient.Wont even get into the problem of them trying to drive the car out of the gate.

Called around to many towing company’s, to find out Goch and sons had the best prices to have my vehicle towed home. When I called, The young lady on the phone was super nice and very helpful, had a driver sent out immediately to me and within 15 min was there. The guy who took care of my car treated it gently and was very nice as well. Outstanding service, best around in my opinion.

I have an eye condition and i accidentally walked into this unnecessary glass that they have in front of their door. It hurt me good. When i walked in they didnt show any concern for my wil being. They worried about the window before servicing me. This went on for about 5 minutes or more before serving me. They had attitudes the entire time and charged me $455.00 to get my vehicle the same day. I upgraded the receipt for u all....note i did not have insurance at the time and im black....thought Id add that in there too.

Extremely professional and patient. Jarred (tow driver) was super polite, patient, and was even able to drop the truck in the garage for us. Dispatch was super helpful as well! Even checked to see if they had received my truck before they sent a truck out. If Im ever in that area and need a tow Im definitely calling again.

One of the worst customer service company. They will quote you something on the phone and then the truck drivers will ask for a different higher amount. You might be yelled at and attacked by the drivers. And if you refuse to pay they will impound your car. If you try to call back to those who gave you the quote originally they will deny it. If you are having a bad day and you car is stuck, or having any car problems do not add insult to your injury by contacting this company. They will only make your day worse. My car is not even fixed. Stay away!!! Very bad experience. Unless you want to be lied to and tricked and have your money taken for incomplete work, threatened and harassed then yes contact this company.

My daughter had an accident on Tuesday (10/2). The next day i called the insurance company and they said it will be towed to a repair shop near me but I had to a sign release form at Koch and sons. When I got there they first said my truck was there so i waited 15 minutes for someone to show me in the lot. Later, they told me it was already sent to the my repair shop of my choice. On Thursday I called the repair shop but the details of my truck. The repair shop said it wasnt there. The repair shop and I both called Koch and sons they said it was sent on Monday to a repair shop that I have never heard of and it is 15 miles from my house. They sent my truck to the wrong place I told to go get it and take it to my repair shop. They told me if i want my truck to my repair shop I go and drive it an unsafe truck for 15 miles. They were very rude. I never swear at anyone but that girl was terrible.

They claim my insurance company didnt contact them the first time. Or there was some sort of communication error? The insurance company got ahold of them the second time and they responded within 45 minutes. The total wait was almost 4 1/2 hours by the time they came out. The driver was courteous and professional.

Cant speak for their towing. Their customer service is terrible. My vehicle was stolen. The police recovered it, and Goch towed it and impounded it in their lot. I called and after listening to an intro message for 10 minutes, spoke to a rude woman who essentially told me there was minimal damage, and that she believes the van is drivable. Fee is $75 to get it out.Irritated that I have to pay $75 because someone stole my vehicle, I begrudgingly show up to recover it. At this point they say they cant start it because the column is jacked from where the thief ripped it apart to start it. I ask to be let in to investigate it and see what I need to do to get it going (Im capable of fixing this sort of thing myself), they say I cannot access my vehicle, and that I need to call a tow truck.Of course, if I call my own tow guy, I still have to pay Goch to bring it out of their yard because they wont let non-employees into the yard.It must be nice to have a business where customer service can be completely ignored because people have no choice but to deal with you. Do yourself and the community at large a favor and do not voluntarily use Goch. Businesses engaging in this sort of unethical business practice do not deserve to be in business.

They are crooks. $390 cash only when they towed my car from my school. Then they went through and everything in my car was went through, navigation, radio station, climate control, every thing including seat had been changed and tampered with. They have spotters just waiting to tow your car and then put it in the system as abandoned and steal it for the $390 to get it back. Unethical and highway robbery. Should have called the news!

I was stranded and Goch and Sons came to my aid in a very reasonable time. However during the road service call they damaged my vehicle. They have refused to pay for the repairs and now wont return my calls. My understanding is this company has a poor rating with the BBB so I recommend avoiding them if at all possible.

Tim their driver was awesome. He was very professional and showed compassion when I needed it. I am from Alabama but if I ever get in a tough spot in Detroit again, they will be my first call.

Bad experience with this company this morning . Resulted in me having to pay twice for the same job because i had to hire a different company. Incomplete work. Unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. Even when I showed them clearly how they were wrong there was no intention like ZERO to apologize or correct. Can you imagine? A worker cant apologize to their customer for giving you wrong information. Oh wait. Why would they apologize for the wrong information? Thats part of the business. Then the next day they wouldnt move the car to the right place. I had to call Martin towing to move it, they were very nice and only charged me minimal to move it...

Horrible horrible customer service!! They told us on phone that we can use the credit card to pay the bill, but when we arrive there, the black women be very rude and told me they only collect cash! Then I give her cash, she said they dont make any change! I asked why you collect cash but have no money to make change? I only want to know the reason! And she became very impatient and rude yell at me you know what?! You are not going to pick your car today!! Wow! What? She was so rude! And she throwing my money in to the ground! And continue yell at me go back! You will not get your car today! I asked her to call her manager! And let my friend call the police! And I told her I am going to pick my car today! Well 1st Ill say this, if you like being scammed go right ahead and use these people. They have no right charging people a flat $385 fee for parking in the wrong spot. Then they give you such rude service because your trying to figure out what happened to your vehicle. Before this I was considering promoting them in my business for working with me but now I will be real and tell all my family friends clients and vendors to never patronize them again. Gloria is the rudest person Ive ever experienced in a phone call. I think this place needs better staff of better training skills in customer service. They say a happy client or customer tells 3 to 5 people about their happy experience but a ride experience everyone hears about it. I used this company about a week ago when I was stranded in the cold.. they got there in less than 25 minutes and even took me home before taking my car to the repair shop. Amazing customer service

I called to have our truck towed from home to our auto shop right down the road. Eric was on time, courteous and helpful. He treated our truck with care and even opened the door for me. He saw my youngest watching from inside the house and made pleasant small talk about his family while loading the vehicle. Would use again if needed.
