The absolute worse ever!!!! First the lady at counter tried to be slick and keep the extra $20 i gave her by mistake, then catch attitude because I said something about it.Waited over an hour after I paid to get my vehicle Had to call inside from my phone to see why it still was taking so long she said because 4 cars that wasnt working was blocking my car.. she told me my car wasnext. Still waiting only for someone come tell me I need a jump for extra $25. Im still waiting!!!! They took the battery I had in my truck and put some littlebattery in its place unbelievable!!!

This is the worst towing experience Ive ever experienced. Theyre relationship with the Detroit police department needs to be more organized. They allow one person in at a time, they dont give you all of the information that you need, they make you go pay a fee before you can get your car but dont have a number of correct address for that administrative location. Very unorganized.

When you call the business and speak to the supervisor she is extremely rude I’ve talk to her two days in a row and she’s been nothing but irritated that we’re calling to inquire about our car being towed she has no information she’s so rude it doesn’t even make any sense and then she had the audacity to call me hostile because I asked her where in the city of Detroit did I need to go before coming there she said I was hostile and didn’t let her finish her sentence and then when asked her name she said I’m the only one here I’m the supervisor like she knew she was being rude and was going to get reported she needs to be replaced I know people that will work that shift who is more qualified

I would recommend this towing company to anyone. They responded quickly and was very friendly and inexpensive. Bobbys towing saved the day!!

They never should up after they insured me they would be there in 90 minutes. I was waiting for 2 hours . When I called to check the status, the informed me police had priority, so I would have to wait . Know I waited long enough I called another tow service they were there no less then, 15 to 30 minutes

Ive only used this service once. Customer service was good. They answered the phone and called back as promised. The fee quoted was the same fee as every other tow service quoted, interestingly. But I have no complaints with the actual towing.

After hours a male answered wasnt aware of how to get items from a towed car... The woman working day shift was rude, unprofessional and they are inconsistent... We waisted gas cause the items needed to get things out your vehicle werent what we were told on the phone.... I drove from Romulus to have to go back to get additional items! Gas is too high

Bobbys Towing is the worst they took my daughters friend car and when she went to try and get her personal property her ID and credit card that is in her fanny pack they denied her to get it. this place is a complete joke and they are a scam.

If I could give less stars I would. My car was stolen and it is becoming quite the headache to get it towed to the collision center to get it fixed. It is such a clear money grab. They are creating issues to keep my car longer and delay transport so they receive more money. Pretty lame to extort money from someone who has been without her car for almost a month now. Place is a scam. I work for a financial institution and one of our vehicles was stolen and taken here and they wont even let us take a look at the vehicle to see if its worth salvaging. I have never had that issue with any other towing company. Maybe you should update your polices. Lady who answered was rude as well.

I had them tow my car on November 12th 2018, took them 3 hours to arrive. After they arrived they called the cops and made me leave. They did not take my car to the desired destination, they took it to there yard and took a bunch of parts off of it. I had to buy a new torque converter and water pump among many other parts after them mishandling my vehicle. I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody I know.

I had to wait 5 hours to get my car (after paying the money). Had to have AAA come to them TWICE (charged for 2 tows) before they were able to LOCATE and get the car out. Lady behind the desk had BAD ATTITUDE....I witnessed her REFUSE a customer money because she said it was wet. They said not. WOW. Spoke to manager (Denise) who was apologetic & facilitated getting the car after 4 hrs. Bobbys need better procedures on locating cars & getting them out in a timely manner. They also need to train their staff on GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. After my experience...I encountered several others who had BAD experiences @ Bobbys. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOBBYS.

Bobbys towing is working with Detroit police department, they would not release my car after I paid in full, they kept saying its coming but never came out, finally 2 hours later they brought my car out of the yard half off the flat bed riding on the side rails of flat bed, then driver told random guy to get on his truck, the random guy was the lock smith, I was getting a key made, the tow truck driver told him to remove my car from flat bed, why did anybody take my car off there flat bed period, should a been a driver only, my tires are now shredded on outside and rim scratched to hell, large black African American woman cussing and being very rude, told me to get out they werent giving me shut. Detroit police were called and never showed, I called phone complaint and was told to go inside only because the police work with them, holy funk, that back woman earned her name!!!☻☻☻👀👀👀

Recovered a stolen vehicle from Bobbys Towing. The pricing was not outrageous, for the service provided. I called twice before to ensure I got there with the proper paperwork and the correct fee and both calls were greeted with a curteous female on the answering end. When I got there it was in and out even though I was picking up a company vehicle which required more documents for proof of ownership. The outside of the building is very well noticable and the inside is clean.THINGS TO KNOW.- LAST 4 OF VIN.- CASH ONLY.- IF ITS IN THE VEHICLE (ID, REGISTRATION, ETC) YOU NEED ANOTHER COPY.- IF UNSURE, CALL FIRST BEFORE GOING AND RUINING EVERYONES DAY BECAUSE THEY WONT RELEASE YOUR VEHICLE

I had a vehicle stolen and it was recovered by the Detroit police department and they use this company. So I had no choice but to deal with them. I looked at the reviews here on Google before I tried to deal with them and I was terrified what I might have to go through.They do 24 hour towing, but they are not 24 hour vehicle pick up and I never saw any hours listed or posted when they were open for pick up. This was a problem because I was coming from out of state (Virginia) to pick this car up. My experience calling them was near impossible to get ahold of. Out of the 13 times I called, only once did I speak to someone and they continued to claim to be open 24 hours a day. This actually became my mind set that I could also pick up the vehicle 24 hours was incorrect. I wanted to contact them again to be sure before I left but was not able to.I experience there was indeed unprofessional but oddly kind. After reading all the reviews here before leaving, I was expecting a terrible headache. The first lady I dealt with didnt know how to deal with a vehicle title from out of state. They charge not only the initial towing fee, but a $75 admin fee but a (I think cheap) daily fee of $15 but it does go up with the weight of the vehicle. One of the picktures do justice here. There is another sign that lists all the rules you can and cant do and believe everyones review here. I was not able to go to my car and look at it without paying the $75 admin fee. The police report says there was no damage but there was grant it was minor. If my vehicle did not start for whatever reason, you are not allowed to do anything to it. Thats what these Service fees are for. Of you cannot drive your vehicle off their lot for whatever reason, you are up the creek further than an you think. Fortunately for me this was not the case.Some of the rules are: if you dont have license or registration/title, you cant look at your vehicle. You must pay in cash only, exact change, no change available. You cant add fuel, jump battery, antifreeze/water, air to tires, ect. Anything while its on the lot. Personal belongings you can retrieve, but if its attach to the car, you cannot take.In conclusion, I think if you read all of these reviews and the signs and understand what you are getting into, itll be pretty painless. If having a painless experience means no leniency that is. And pricing is almost double what I am used to in Virginia.

Once I finally came to pick up my car with my title in my hand, and the title in my name they told me that I must switch my Illinois title to a Michigan title despite the title being in my name. I don’t get how these towing company’s operations do they not have a sense of dignity. It’s all good though Karma will get them. The most terrible towing company Ive ever encountered, I got in a accident and they took my car without letting me get my property while being threatened by one of the drivers to get away from my car before he did something to me. Then I gets my car the next couple days to find out that my property was missing!! This company should not be in business and will be seeking legal help to resolve this problem!!

I honestly shouldve read the reviews first because they are true. I called to havey car moved from my apartment entrance to a parking spot. Staff didnt accomadate me well. Charged me full price to move car from parking lot entrance to a parking spot. Not the spot i asked for. Somewhere i could have had it pushed. Only because it was more convenient for the driver. Only inconvenienced me. Staff did nothing to help me get the problem fixed

If I could give a negative star I would. The staff is rude and unprofessional they roll their eyes, stare at you. I had my car towed off the lot and they refused to release the car to the tow truck company because they did not have workman’s comp insurance. At least have a little customer service! On top of asking everything I need to retrieve my car they tell you one thing and get up here and you need another. They are money hungry just very unprofessional people and need to be shut down. I will be contacting BBB and hopefully If this place is still standing the associates especially at the front desk/over the phone will not be! Please do not get services from Bobby’s towing!

Terrible experience! Not only did it take forever but after I was ready to go, I had checked out my car 10 mins before my tow truck got there. Shortly after the tow guy called and said my windows were down and glove box was open. When I checked my glove box again upon arrival at its destination I realized that some of my property has been stolen. When I called back Bobbys Tow to ask if they could simply look at the cameras so I figure out what happened she hung up the phone. Then I called again and she said im not responsible for your stuff you should have taken it out of your car and Im not looking at any cameras. And when I asked why not. She said cause Im not. THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!

Somehow they are working with the detroit police to scam people out of money. My vehicle was picked up on 2/8/2017, eithor they or the detroit police waited til 4/19/2017 to notify the department of state.... law says police must notify within 24 hours. They now want 1400 to get vehicle back on what should have been a 500 fee after the maximum wait period between police to department of state and from d.o.s. to me! Will update as i progress through courts.
