I live in Golden, Colorado, and am forced to take GFL for yard wasted 12 months of the year when I only use it during late spring and late summer. I was in the hospital from May 13 to May 20. I discovered on May 23 when the person the mows my lawn if I had cancelled yard waste. I said no. Sometime when I was gone my yard waste bin disappeared. I thought someone one had stolen in. On Monday I called and was informed that an employee, Hannah, handled yard waste/compost and I informed that mine had disappeared. I did not hear from anybody on Monday so I called Tuesday. They told me she was not in but they would give her a message. Wednesday about mid-day I called to find out what was going on because I needed the bin. I was granted a little snarkey because I never heard from anybody. Needless say I was treated poorly. Finally I talked to Claudia who went to talk to Hannah and when she returned she said that it would be Tuesday before I got a new bin.Meanwhile I had occasion to talk to my neighbor next door on Thursday and mentioned that my bin had disappeared. He informed me that your picked it up themselves. The staff could not tell me when I called and told me that and given me a reason. It was a perfectly sound bind.When in the hospital I received a bill which I will pay but I want to be credited for some of June because I will probably not have a bin by tomorrow when my nephew and niece come to do yard work tomorrow and Saturday..
Absolutely hands down the worst business I have ever dealt with. Pay for trash pickup bi weekly and twice weekly compost pickup. They havent bothered to show up in weeks. I have called daily for weeks and continuously am told that they will make it out tomorrow. They are either liars or completely incompetent. I dont know what I ever pay for at this point. But be sure that they never miss payment collection. Literally the only thing they are on top of. Terrible company. Avoid at all costs.
What a terrible company. It says right on their website that they will provide the appropriate container for trash removal. There’s absolutely nothing stating you have to purchase your own trash can. I don’t know any trash removal companies that require you to do that. When I called inquiring about this the nasty witch of a woman in customer service was a smart a** and said “yea the website says we’ll provide you one but you have to pay for it”. Uhh maybe list that on your website instead of false advertising. Not surprised with the horrible reviews they have.
GFL buying Tri-Lakes disposal has been very unpleasant. Again, the trash was not picked up. Apparently, my card expired. I did find a single email in spam, so there is that. Tried to update my card, but the web service has changed, again, thus notifications going to spam... Couldnt change my card from my phone because iPhone (Safari) wasnt supported. This is the second time something like this has happened. A change on their end leads to a headache on yours. If you can convince yourself that the sub 2 star rating is a fluke, sign up! You will be writing a review here soon and it wont be to up their rating.
Absolutely awful company, dont perform their duties, miss several pickup dates and then make excuses as if they are in the right. Best way to describe this company is that they are pure trash. Avoid at all costs, they also go as Alpine Waste and Recycling, dont be fooled its the same company.
After 3 years of using this company under their previous name Allied Waste Services or something like that, it was changed or sold to GFL environmental. GFL driver decided to reported my location as not servable just because, after receiving service for 3 years from the same company before it change its name. They are bunch of bullies, irresponsible, abusive company, they overcharged me in my last bill for services not received.
Absolutely unreliable. They have contracted with our HOA for weekly trash / slash removal and there is absolutely no recourse if their service is less than even the lowest (which it is).
Their trash truck drivers will regularly take only whats inside the dumpsters (after not coming for three consecutive days) and leave everything else thats piled up around the full dumpsters. Bad service.
Horrible company, will pick up trash late sometimes when you call (if you get through) there is no sense of remorse on substandard performance, the generally don’t care about their customer base at all
I had to call them three times to try and get recycle bin svcs set up. They kept telling me my hoa managed it when my hoa said they dont. They finally signed me up for service and told me my recycling bin would be there the following friday, trash day. Its been 4 weeks now and no recycle bin yet theyre still charging me. Wth?
Missed pickups and billing errors. Non-existent customer service. Its impossible to reach anyone. The worst company I have dealt with.
