If I could give zero stars, I would. This company has HORRIBLE customer service. They regularly miss my street for pick up - literally 25% of the time so far this year! Sometimes they’ll return later in the week but often they refuse, so my street is just perpetually a trash heap. They won’t return phone calls about the ongoing issue, they’re rude when you reach someone in person, and they somehow still expect full payment. I am encouraging my neighborhood’s HOA to switch providers.
They skipped our trash pickups for 3 weeks in a row. Only finally got a pickup after I chased the driver down after he skipped us and tried his best to ignore me. The next week back to no pickups. I call them every week and I get a different excuse. We talked to the supervisor, we sent it up to the manager, we have new drivers, we,ll send someone back by to do a pickup, let me get your contact information so I can have a manager contact you. Does it ever get resolved? No. Do we pay our bill every month? Absolutely! Do we not have to pay them if they dont pick up our trash for a month? No, that would be criminal. Stay far away, these people are a nightmare. Im looking into firing them as soon as possible. Whoever gave them 5 stars works there.
As all the other reviews say, this company has gone from bad to worse. We pay well over $1,000 a month for irregular and unreliable pickups. We are consistently overflowing and they just dont care. The account managers dont return calls and the poor drivers just dont have the support they need. Run for this company.
We are a company that uses Alpine Waste and Recycling for our trash removal services and I, the office manager called to make a simple update on our account and spoke with ALISHA who was EXTREMELY RUDE to me, she did NOT want to help what so ever and kept trying to pass me along to someone else (as if she just didnt want to do her job) as well as rudely interrupting me frequently coming off as AGGRESSIVE. She then questioned MY job title very rudely so i then asked hers and she stated that she asked for mine purely because of the fact i was rude I then spoke with her supervisor who was able to do help in seconds. I do hope that call was recorded and listened to by her supervisor because that was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have received in a very long time and she deserves to have a consequence for how she speaks to clients. I will be exploring other trash removal options and I would recommend whoever reading this does the same.
They picked up everyones trash except mine. We all put our trash out the night before so its ready for them in the morning. I called Monday and got no return call. I called again today and was told they wont come back out due to COVID. They are having zero human contact when picking up. You cant just use this as an excuse for not doing your job. Now I get to have trash sitting behind my house for a week.
Not sure what is going on with this company. We were scheduled a Monday and Friday pickups. Without letting us know, they switched to Tuesday instead of Monday. Then, beginning in July they have missed at least one pick-up a week. They dont return phone calls or emails. This week, they picked up on Wednesday, and then missed the Friday pickup, leaving us potentially until Tuesday? We are already over flowing, with the entire weekend to go! How is this ok?
This company is terrible. I would give them a 0-star rating if I could. They have missed picking up our trash or recyclables too many times, without remedying it by doing a follow-up pick-up. As far as theyre concerned, we just have to wait until our normal pick-up the following week, which means living with a full and smelly container for a week and storing another weeks worth of trash somewhere. This is completely unacceptable and if I performed my job this way, I would be fired. I would fire Alpine if I could, but unfortunately we are part of an HOA that switched from Waste Management, apparently to save money. Waste Management was great and rarely missed a pick-up, and if they ever did, they always picked it up the next day. You get what you pay for, and in my opinion, Alpine is definitely NOT worth any savings.
This company used to be better when it was Alpine. But it was recently acquired by GFL Environmental. They havent picked up my companys trash for two weeks straight. They are not returning calls or emails. Its unclear if theyre even in business.Do yourself a favor, steer clear of this outfit.
Although they emptied the dumpster of the apartment building next door, they did not remove the pile of couches and mattresses that someone had stacked behind the dumpster. Upon Alpine emptying the dumpster, one of the couches leaning against fell down barely missing my car, and it was blocking my front driver door. After I called them yesterday to send someone back out to remove the couch, I was told they could not make it back out to my location. Then the city of Denver Inspections was here today taking photos of all the piled up furniture still there and the Denver Inspections agent said he called Alpine earlier today telling them to remove the dumped furniture. They still have not sent anyone out here to remove the couches, not even the couch that sits right next to my car door. The workers of Alpine seem to be lazy.
This company will nickel and dime you for every cent they can. They will not send you your bills on time and then they will charge you late fees. I am truly disgusted with them and seriously regret ever signing with them. Avoid using this service, even Waste Management is better!
Somehow we have been talking to them back-and-forth for a month and a half, And they still have no ability to actually pick up the trash. If you waste your time with this company they will disappoint you every single time!
We were originally on a Monday, Friday pick up, but they changed us to Monday-Thursday without telling us. I complained and they switched me to Tuesday-Friday. They collected the trash on Tuesday, but neglected the Friday pick up. I now have an over-flowing dumpster after one week. Monday, they said they would send the truck, but they didnt. They lie to me all the time and dont follow through.
While at work, Alpine Waste accidentally rolled a dumpster into my car. Accidents happen right? I can understand that. However, Alpine Waste has been NO help in the process of fixing my car. To prevent their premium from going up, they wanted to pay out of pocket for the damages and rental car that I needed. I was not sure about this, but Steve assured me that both places would be able to bill their company no problem. He also told me they did not have any specific company’s to go through for repairs or rental cars. I had to take a PTO day from work (they do not care about this) to take my car in, he informed me that was the business.... While at the rental car place, they called Steve for payment. They were not able to make a payment over the phone, because Alpine did not have an account with them. Steve then gave us a choice through the rental guy: Wait until he can come pay for the car or he could reimburse us. Hesitantly, we put the car on our credit card. My car was already in the shop and we could not count on him to get us the car in a timely manner. I then called Steve on a Monday, while my car was still in the shop, to see how we would get reimbursed. I was surprised when his voicemail stated he was on vacation. Frantic, I called Kent of Alpine Waste. This was also because the work on my car got extended and I needed the rental car an extra day. He proceeded to tell me someone would call to help me out. They gave me the run around until a week had passed and Steve was back from vacation. I was very lucky the car shop released my car without payment. My husband, we are both teachers, had to take a 1/2 day to return the car and pick up my car. When I finally spoke to Steve about my displeasure and stress he had caused me because he did not inform anyone that he would be gone for a week and was the only one that could do his job, he responded I did not need to know that and he did not even know I was getting the work done. This is FALSE and I have a voicemail to prove it. Steve went on a vacation, while I had to use my very few PTO days for damage that their company caused. I still, now two weeks later have not been reimbursed for the rental car. I asked to speak to a hire up and Steve referred me to Robert. I left a message for Robert a week ago and he has yet to return my phone call. THEIR company caused damage to my car and because they did not want their insurance to go up, it has cost me time, stress, and now money. However, Steve assures me, “It’s the business side of things.”
Worst experience I have ever had with a waste removal service. Been in a HOA community for only 2 recycle service pick up days and they’ve not come on time either occasion for our street. Once they came a day late and this time they missed our entire street and have refused to come back. Our entire block is just sitting with their bins full outside. I spoke to one woman over the phone and she was aggressive, not understanding, and said that they don’t come to neighborhoods only for 1 street. So unprofessional, if it were up to me I would drop them in a second. Trying to get my HOA to do the same for these clowns.
This company needs to take the word Recycling out of their name, because they dont do it! They miss our recycling at least once a month, and always give us a lame excuse. They once told us that the truck couldnt get to our house due to snow, even though the same type of truck had no issue picking up our trash that day. This morning, I watched from the window as the collector dumped our recycling into the trash truck, despite the fact that we have a 2-foot wide recycling symbol painted on the front, and the contents are clearly recyclables and are not in bags to hide that fact. 30 minutes later, another truck came down our street, most likely looking for the recycling that had already been put in the garbage truck. This is not the first time that I have witnessed them doing that. Unfortunately I have to give them an undeserved 1 star in order to write this review. They deserve 0 stars.
Missed pick ups. Trash flying out of trucks. The lack of care this company has for it’s communities is apparent. They skip whole streets. When asked for additional trucks they are condescending. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
These guys work their tails off and deserve to be treated better than they are. People don’t follow the rules and leave these poor guys a mess to pick up. Alpine should tell their workers not to pick up trash that hasn’t been securely left in appropriate containers.
Customer service is non existent, nice on the phone will be out tomorrow or sorry again but will be out tomorrow..Do not return phone calls. One time fine, multiple times not acceptable which has been happening in the last several months. I currently have 2 weeks of recycle and garbage waiting to be picked up. I pay the premium for Valet and tip the drivers on Xmas (no longer)Management seems not to care, as they have a contract with Golden, I will fight for a new vendor when contract is up tired of smelly garbage on my lot and no pick up....Issues happen, it is how they respond and take care them Alpine does nothing to do so. Stay away...
These guys are the best! We were struggling to get our fully loaded garbage can up and over a downed tree on the sidewalk after the infamous Cyclone Bomb blizzard. They saw us and came over right away to help us out. They really go above and beyond!
We pay these guys almost $1600 a week to pick up and dump our roloff, they cant seem to find the time in there day to pick it up at a decent working business timeframe... had a deal worked out with Katie to insure the issue was fixed and they have yet to follow through. dont waste your time with these people if you want your business to run right
They missed our scheduled trash collection on Tuesday, said they’d get it Wednesday and never showed up. They said it was on their schedule for Thursday (scam) and they never showed up. I called again and talked to a nice customer service person who transferred me a supervisor (Brent) who was too chicken sh*t to answer the phone.I wonder if I only paid for three weeks trash collection this month if that would be okay? If you’re considering Alpine for personal trash collection, or as part of and HOA, get several bids and don’t go with the low bid.
The most incompetent bunch of degenerates to ever exist. Our ally was under construction so the just stopped picking up trash. Then once it opened back up they told me to call city of golden and explain to them why their 8 ft wide truck couldnt fit up my 20ft wide alley. It has been over 3 months that I have been paying for service, and they have only picked up 2 times in 3 months. I have called 4 times a week and begged for my trash to be picked up. Every time they promise that it will happen and every week I have to take another truckload to the dump. They admitted that the only reason they havent picked it up is because their driver is incompetent. Also someone should replace Simone and Jennifer because they cant figure out how to communicate on the phone. They make empty promises and have horrible customer service. If I could give negative stars I would.

I havent used this company for any services. I did almost get run over by one today Wednesday 11/6/19. I was going to King Soopers on speer this morning before work and this guy with the truck VIN #6M48670 turned right in front of me, I was in the turning lane. He did not have his blinker on and took the right away. I followed him and took pictures of the truck. i am reporting this so no one gets killed by him
In the past four months they have repeatedly overlooked my recycle! Picked up all my neighbors though! Ive called the office and they tell me they will have their people pick up 😡. This last time it did not happen!!Why is it so difficult for these people to do their job?? To earn their wages??
This is the worst trash company I have ever had to use. I say that because I am in an HOA and did not select this company. This company missing trash collection at least one week a month. Completely ridiculous.
I really appreciate being woken up at 6 AM on my day off because the trash truck decided to come to a residential area first. This is completely unacceptable.
I work at a dispensary in Glendale. My driver did his usual honk, I ran out opened the bin. I then asked for the bar to be replaced on the bin. He asked if I could do it, I said no due to physical health issues. He then tells me Im rude, that his mum just died. I apologized. Maybe having a grieving service person working is a very, very bad idea.
I am a business customer with these folks (property manager for a large commercial storage facility). They have always been very helpful and straightforward in their dealings with us, and the folks that I speak to are always very pleasant to speak with on the phone. No issues with service ever!
Not sure where to star I live in a town home last week July 18 it was trash, and recycle day, they didnt pick my recycle thinking it wasnt the week when they are supposed to,so I let it go,today July 25th they didnt pick it up again!! We paid almost $300 on HOA,and not sure why they havent, and went to the website,not way to send an email,really bad service🤬
Horrible service. I leave my recycling out and they won’t take it when everything is order. I leave it the exact same and then they take it the following week. I really think it depends on the mood of the driver that day as whether or not they will take your recycling.
Clearly the worst recycling provider. Wish there was a negative star rating.My business contracted Alpine for recycling service. For nearly 3 months Alpine did not service our account all the while blaming my company for the lack of service with their wild excuses. The only thin dependable is their billing. We have continued being billed for services we NEVER received even after cancelling them.The most unethical, crooked, and unreliable service ever.STAY AWAY FROM ALPINE!
Driving to work I watched an uncovered truck with a roll-off on it spewing trash all over Kipling Northbound from about 34th all the way to I-76 and then getting on the interstate and cruising along, trash blowing all over the place with a tarp on the back, all rolled up (how nice for the lazy driver). Sucks that we try to keep things clean only to see the laziness cause more preventable littering.
My mother asked the people picking up her trash if they new of a place she could dispose of an old cloth chair. She new that they didnt take such large items, but was discouraged when she called the local dump and they wanted $90+ for disposal. And this was after she called Wheat Ridge City to try and get on there large item pick-up list in May, which they flat out refused to do even though she was the very first person to call. So FU city of Wheat Ridge. Anyways, this company took this chair off my mothers hands and disposed of it which was huge for her since she is retired and has bad knees. I cant say thank you enough! So again, Thank You and shame on the city of Wheat Ridge and there Selective Large Item Pick Up Day.
I pay 1,000 a month and they REGULARLY skip pickups. Not only do they charge of the skipper pickups, they then refuse to pick them up because they’re too full - because they didn’t empty them in time.
Will always use Alpine for our trash needs. Great reps who are quick to make things happen, answer questions, and take care of our garbage enclosures. Would reccomend to any business!
They are the worst company for trash and recycle. Over the past year there has been many occasions where they don’t show up. There wasn’t a holiday prior, just laziness. I’ve called customer service and have got the same excuse over and over “the truck was full and the driver ran out of time, so he’ll be back tomorrow.” Only problem is he doesn’t come back in a timely manner. Save yourself the trouble and don’t bother hiring them.
Never had such a bad work experience I felt the need to review any other company. You could not pay me $100 an hour to work here again. Horrible place to be a mechanic, and ran like a day care center. Expect to work in a negative atmosphere with cry babies, be harassed, and work on equipment that is junk. They could care less if you have a life outside of trash trucks, but this company is trash..Smh
My place of work is located in the beautiful city of Wheat Ridge, CO. Unfortunately my good friends and landlords of the building I work in went from having a wonderful experience with Alpine Waste & Recycling to a nightmare. On 12/14/15 one of the dump trucks caused very significant and dangerous damage to the entrance/parking lot area of our business building and the entrance to a home behind the building. Since 12/14/15 they have called, emailed, left voice mails, spoke with various managers at Alpine Waste & Recycling with no response and definitely no action done about the damage done. I would NOT go with this company for your waste and recycling needs since they cannot be a genuine business when it comes to taking responsibility to damages made by their trucks.
Didn’t pick up the recycling when they were supposed to, sent emails and left messages to talk about it and just never heard back. Also, have been waiting for over two months for a call back on starting compost pick-up. When does their contract with City of Golden end?

After forgetting about our trash day this past week, I called Alpine and offered to pay for an extra pick up. They did not charge me, and they came and picked up the trash within the hour! I am was so impressed with their customer service!
I hired Alpine waste to pick up a mattress and box springs at 4112 Ames street, in Mountain View Colorado, where I was moving out of the rental. I paid $25.00 for each piece and that was 6-8 weeks ago. The payment has gone through my bank but the mattress and box springs are still there as of 12/4/19! When the landlord told me back in the middle of November they were still there, I called Alpine. They assured me they had been picked up. I just again this evening was told by the landlord they are still there. I would NEVER recommend using this company!! Unfortunately they seem to be contracted through the city of Mountain View to pick up the weekly trash.
I have called on 2 separate occasions and both times received an immediate response and excellent customer service.
Was driving behind a truck that didnt have a cover on the top. So much trash flew out of the truck it was unbelievable. Whats the point of being a recycling company if youre going to let this happen?
The horror continues. I am amazed that our HOA and property management company continues to work with them. My last review was a year ago and thing are still just as bad. Avoid them like the plague. Seriously.The absolute worst company ever. To be avoided at ALL costs. Had a huge run in with them 3 weeks ago concerning repeated and incessant service failures, even spoke to the owner who assured me that he would fix things. Obviously he is not a man of his word. Tonight I get home and, lo and behold, the recycling had not been picked up.Once in a while, fine. Over and over and over again after many, many conversations? Not on.I repeat - worst company ever. I’d rather have Tony Soprano’s organisation as service vendors. Yes, that bad.

Ive been wondering for a while now if the recycling in our community is actually recycled or not. This morning I watched the garbage men throw all of the recycling into the garbage truck too. SHAME ON YOU ALPINE!!!!
Until the last few years, I never had the convenience of having a company pick up my recyclables. For about 25 years I faithfully separated and bagged up my cans, glass, aluminum, mixed paper, cardboard/paperboard products and plastics 1-2 and taken them to Tri-R Recycling as they have dumpsters outside that anyone can drop off these items to at any time of the day or night for free. I have appreciated that so very much. Now I live in an apartment complex that has an Alpine Recycling dumpster. They take all the above items Ive just indicated, PLUS they also take more plastic containers (containers only) - they take all plastic containers 1-7. They also will take styrofoam food containers (but they must be completely rinsed out and free of any food, and not bagged up at all, just placed into the dumpster). Their customer service on the phone is very helpful too. If theres anything that Alpine doesnt take that youd like to recycle, you can take many other items to SustainAbility Recycling and Ive let Alpine know about that too, and they were very grateful to know about them. Lets all do our part and clean up the mess weve made and not do anymore damage to this planet. Hope this helps.

We are DeckTec, a medium sized design & buildresidential construction company based in Golden Colorado.We have used Alpine for several years now..They service our 15 yard shop dumpster,dumping and returning it several times a week.In peak season, it is often filled rapidly and unexpectedlyAlpine is amazing in their ability to respond to our requests for adjustments in schedule.....When they can, they adjust their schedule to work out the often erratic changes in our needs.It works out more often than one could expect !We have used several other disposal companies in the ten years I have been at DeckTec. Alpine, is tops in our opinion......The ENTIRE staff is wonderfulBut especially Joette Pierce and Dan Hauser
This company is extremely unreliable and unprofessional. I have them for my residential trash and recycling pickup and they only pick up half the time they say they will. When I’ve called they either don’t call me back or say they’re coming but never follow through. Find another provider if you can.
The garbage drivers are rude and disrespectful. They block the middle of the street blocking traffic instead of pulling over. Its very inconsiderate for they are not caring if they block the road.

I heard the truck go by my house and I had forgot to put my trash out, I called and they had the driver come back to get it. Was really my fault and they didnt have to do that. Thanks
