Though I woefully pay to play soccer here, the management is terrible. During the pandemic, they never enforced the mask rule unless you asked a manager and they were even so bold as to respond, well hopefully everyone is vaccinated, when they had just publicly made vaccines available. Dont expect fair reffing or even the ref to watch the game for a minute at a time as their buddies are often on the sideline. To put it bluntly, customer service is awful, their reffing is generally atrocious (if I could give that 0 stars I would), and their pricing is steep. If you have a gym or indoor soccer place 10 minutes further away, I would recommend going there.
We had such a fun birthday for my son at Bladium. They take care of everything. We just had to show up with a cake!! It’s so organized and free kids have a blast.
Soccer manager lacks professionalism, and not welcoming. Also, no housekeepers to clean equipments, restrooms. I have worked out there all times, morning, afternoon, and night, no one there to clean. I have brought up multiple times that, was disregard. Looks like they dont care about COVID-19. I wouldnt recommend it.
Had my daughters birthday party there and the staff and bounce houses were amazing!! The guy helping us with the party (maybe chris?) was the best made sure everything was perfect! The pizza ended up being late (not their fault) but they gave the kids extra time in the bounce houses since it took so long! If you are thinking about having a party here, I highly recommend it!
I just heard about an antivaxxer leaving because they wanted them to present a vaccine card to attend without a mask. Good for you! I appreciate integrity with business practices.
Okay place, but they need to get their COVID rules together, I took my 6 year old to watch her uncle play and I was told we couldn’t stay because of COVID, but everything else is open and running as normal.... I was also told they had a capacity of people allowed inside the building but nobody was counting and there were people coming and out the whole hour I was in my car waiting. I was told only players were allowed but as I’m parked across the door I can clearly see them letting other people’s in, as well as someone’s mom.Wouldn’t recommend coming here
Nice indoor community facility for general sports workout and practice. Nice soccer fields for the youngsters to learn and develop their skills.
The staff are super nice and welcoming. The place is deceivingly large and has a lot to offer.
Wasn’t impressed with their workout equipment, unless you’re in the CrossFit side of the gym and then it’s top notch. Would recommend for soccer or CrossFit but not for just regular gym use.
This is a big sports place but the staff is friendly!!!
Excellent facility excellent faculty..
I just gotta say, being able to exercise during this pandemic is the only thing keeping me in good physical and mental health. They do a great job at cleaning, enforcing face coverings, and communicating how COVID has effected and may effect them. 10/10 would recommend.
I worked out this morning as a guest. I had a great experience. The equipment and the entire facility was clean. The staff was very helpful. I strongly recommend it as a great facility.
Gym, Soccer, BeerWhat more you need lol
Recently switched to Bladium from 24 Hour Fitness for membership price and convenience.Super friendly staff. Fitness center has everything I need for a diverse workout and various class options. I havent been during peak hours, but there have always been plenty of machines in the evening/night. I prefer to workout later at night, so I also like that they have the option to use the studios for virtual classes after normal class hours.Nice locker rooms with sauna/steam rooms are an added bonus.
Great gym, community and programming.
I switched to Bladium from PF and Im very happy! Basically if you are looking for an affordable gym with all the basics plus a little extra, this place is pretty much perfect. I love the 30 minute sprint class. It can get crowded at times but never so crowded I cant get what I came to do done. The locker rooms are also very clean and nice. I would appreciate it if they updated their dumbbell set (the numbers have rubbed off on some and I cant always tell what the weight is) and if they organized the kettle bell area upstairs but for the price you pay per month I am so grateful I found this place!
Our kids love the little kickers program. Coaches and management are great.
Front desk staff and cleaning staff are top notch. So friendly and already pleasant. The on demand Les Mills classes are great, the equipment is new, and, the main reason I go, the sauna and steam room (when it works) are both great. While fairly new to the gym, the mens steam room has been rife with problems. Its amazing when it works, but unfortunately thats only 60% of the time. Its been better as of late, so I hope the problems are in the past. The sauna is a nice consolation prize.
Im from out of town, so my opinion may be slightly skewed due to the fact that I dont know what the competition is like... but I enjoyed this place. My brother has a membership here and this is where he takes me when Im in town. Its a pretty cool complex. It has multiple indoor soccer fields. A small indoor basketball court. A blow up play area for kids. The gym is nice and it offers a full bathroom complete with showers, dry sauna and steam room. Not sure of the total value, but I do enjoy it here. I definitely recommend that you at least check it out.(Photos are just some terrible after workout selfies... had to prove I actually did something lol)
I love this gym! My husband has been going here for 8 years and I started CrossFit a couple months ago.It is so fun and community centered!I highly recommend this gym!
Nice staff, clean building, and great coaching
I had my grandsons birthday party at Bladium he had a great party. My only complaint is we paid for 40 kids in advance for the party, and only 21 kids showed up. I asked for a credit for those 19 kids that didnt show, and was told they dont do credits in that manner, but was offered a credit for a camp. Advice dont pay for any more kids than you think will come. You wont get any money back. Which to me is a rip off.
Ive been playing soccer at Bladium for a while now and really enjoy the atmosphere and vibe of the evening leagues! My kids also partake in activities here frequeny. The entire family love the whole Bladium experience!
My 2.5 year old loves this place! Very family oriented. The jumping castle is a blast and the soccer programs are amazing. I appreciate the steam room and workout area and the trainers are top notch.
You’ll see from the other reviews that the main issue is with the adult soccer leagues. The gym might be great, just don’t play soccer here. It’s poorly managed. Simple as that.
This is our new favorite gym! Yes, it feels like it is stuck in 1975 in some areas of the gym, but to me that is all the more reason to love it! They have 12+ different Les Mills classes, virtual studios where you can start any class you want, tons of time slots for different classes, lots of space so you can always get a spot AND a steam room and sauna. YES!! And all for a super low price. You just cant beat it.
Please note, I did not participate in any soccer events. This is a review regarding the fitness and CrossFit.As we all know, each box has it’s OWN culture and client base. This box is welcoming and has avid trainers. However, each coach has a different style. And the owner was never available for questions and or concerns.Additionally, the bathroom(s) are NOT well maintained. And rarely serviced in the evenings.
There is something for the whole family here. CrossFit area was great and the outdoor space an added benefit. There were inflatables for the kids and indoor soccer. The adults have a nice area for classes and separate workout facility with weights and cardio equipment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were just in Denver on vacation but would definitely consider this for a home gym if we lived in the area.
Co-Ed Soccer on Sunday: Nice facility, but other than that, not well run. Scheduling issues all the time. Teams would not show up, resulting in forfeit for almost 50% of our games. The only response we could get for this was $150 off for the next session. Why would we rejoin after all this unorganized mess happened? Also, more expensive than other leagues. Referees not focused or paying attention half the time. If really invested in having a legit time playing rec league soccer, I’d go elsewhere. Arvada indoor is better.
The instructors are great and work so well with my everyone. They have the best facilities. The place is always clean too.
My husband and I have been going to Bladium for 3 years now and love it! The fitness classes are fun, challenging, and convenient. The workout equipment is always open, or just a short wait. The atmosphere is also very positive. Highly suggest for your everyday gym! Also kid-friendly!
Decent soccer facility and leagues but could be better fields and scheduling. Beer after a game is always a plus though.
This place has its ups and downs. There are a couple people who are professional and do a good job, but of course you always remember the ones who dont.To start, there are a bunch of odd rules. You pay a $25 soccer membership just to get your player card that lasts a year, which they sometimes care about, and sometimes dont. However if you fall out of favor with the referees, they will begin to care about player cards for your team like you wouldnt believe. Then theres the fee. 875 for a season, when most other indoor places charge much less (Westminster 575, Golden 500, etc). The level of competition is great. Lots of really good teams / players. Almost so much that if you have players that werent competitive / college players, even the C or D league will tear you to shreds. Finally the referees.. Oh man. A couple really great, solid referees: they control the game and explain the calls. And then, the others. Some barely move from the half line, make all the calls from afar, miss goals that hit the back post, make horrible calls, or worse, let terrible fouls go. They might swear at you (the player), or condescend your appeals for an explanation. These are obviously the refs who proctor matches that become violent, of which there are too many for a facility that is ostensibly high-quality.
By far the best indoor soccer facility. Three soccer fields, gym membership (if youre into that). They also have beer for after the games. Shawn, the facility manager, has great costumer service skills and knows his stuff about soccer.
Great soccer training place. We went to few birthday parties for kiddos it was fun. My only concern is smell of artificial grass that is very strong.since the fields are lined with that turf.
Played in a Cornhole tournament. 3 soccer fields available, basketball court and workout room. It gets warm in there.
Great spot! Awesome club with lots of options. Great group fitness and great instructors! Lots to do and choose from, and the staff is always helpful and happy.
The kid winter camp was very bad for 5 year-old girl. My daughter told me that the program was not well organized and the teachers were not professional.
Good gym with various classes. Wife and I powerlift and have no complaints. Excellent for soccer or CrossFit if thats your thing.
I play soccer here for about a year and I have to say its an awesome place and a great environment if you like to play soccer
Outstanding fitness center, fun classes, and a super friendly staff! I 10/10 recommend this gym and it is SO worth the value of a membership!
I’m not sure if two stars or three stars. I am still trying to decide.I go to Crossfit, I am new to this. I like it but it depends on who is giving the class. I like some of them but it sucks going to class not knowing who will instruct the class. I wish they announced that with the WOD they post the night before. Being new, I feel like some of them are more helpful than others. I also didn’t like my experience signing up. I was signed up. Period. Almost a month later I find out there is a bouncy house for children and they had me going back and forth to find out the price. Someone said free another said I had to pay. The one thing I did like was that the weight room upstairs is always empty when I go. Empty gyms are always fun, it’s all yours! The distance is very convenient so I plan on staying but I’m not sure if a 12 month agreement was a good idea.
I’ve got my 3 year old signed up for soccer here. We really like the program.
UPDATE: From my most recent experience, it does seem the reffing has improved. Some calls are still questionable with inconsistency on whats being called, but the refereeing is called much tighter now. They still only have one ref per game, which I havent seen at any other complex Ive played at. My past review is below.Specifically in regards to the soccer program they run -The two stars are for the level of competition you can find and the quality of the fields. Everything else is severely lacking and in particular, the reffing. As a referee, youre job is to maintain safe conditions and use your discretion when dealing with fouls and players. I have now witnessed multiple altercations due to poorly controlled games, many injuries that anyone could have said were imminent from reckless players and inconsistencies beyond belief. My personal favorite was when one of our players was openly boarded when moving down the sideline into the corner. When looking at the ref and essentially saying what the heck, the ref with the ponytail replied Maybe you shouldnt play against the boards. Uh.... what?Another good story was when one of our players was given a blue card and there was a bit of commotion trying to figure out who should leave the field. Essentially no one made it off, and an entire two minutes later the ref FINALLY realized no one had left and then gave us an additional blue card for not having had someone leave the field. Forgive me, but if you send someone off of the field, you usually make sure they leave before resuming play? Imagine giving someone a red card on an outdoor pitch and not making sure they left and then just throwing another red card at the team for good measure. We had to play down to three people for that one. Blew my mind.Refs have been late multiple times to their own game. The only indoor complex Ive played at that only has ONE ref on the pitch for games. As an outdoor ref of three years, Im blown away how little these refs use their whistle or even a strong word to calm players and the game down. After mentioning that to one of the refs at Bladium, he essentially replied, All is well that ends well. Not how reffing works. You dont just cross your fingers that things dont escalate and when they dont, assume youre doing a good job.All in all, its poorly managed and the reffing is just dangerous. Im shocked I havent witnessed more injuries. Id avoid this venue
Its always hard to get an instructor who are always motivating and hardworking like the ones over here. The place is also very clean!
My 3 year old plays soccer here, excellent coaching staff, nice facility.
My husband plays soccer here, the fields and installations are in very good condition, just in summer they do not turn on the air conditioner. It feels hot inside, other than that, Bladium Sports is a good place to spend time with family.
To start off the place is nice and clean itself. But when it comes to the soccer teams In the adult division it’s the worse. I’ve been coming here to watch my friends and boyfriend play for 3 years and the refs are the worst. And the sad part about it is we brought it up to the manager Sean and he always seems to back up his employees like it’s everyone else’s fault but theirs lol I would let you know right now don’t waste your money for these no good refs to pick and choose who they want to protect in the field. It’s not right and that’s going against what they stand for. When you bring it up nothing seems to be done. And apparently they don’t mind good players that pay good money go 🤷🏻♀️ Very disappointing.
Nice local gym with lots of options for fitness classes, child care, and sports programs as well as a huge bounce house area for the kids, all at fair prices.
Great gym, has child care options for older and younger kids. It has lots of options for group fitness classes and totally affordable
Wonderful facility with an all inclusive environment and many services to chose from. I love the crossfit program and the coaches!
Unlimited classes are available in monthly pricing so you can try several different types (yoga, pilates, spin, etc). Im terrible at being accountable for my own workouts and get bored just using equipment so for me it is a good deal for classes.
My husband and I just recently had a birthday party for our child. Bladiums website makes you think that you will get your monies worth. They didnt have the party set up on time because of the prior party. They failed to empty the trash from the prior party and the instructor did a horrible job of keeping the younger children entertained. The bathrooms were disgusting and uncleaned. Dont waste your money on this place youre better off having a party in your backyard.
Wow where do I start? This is one of very few indoor soccer complexes. That is probably the only reasons they are still in business. From the lack of care in establishing competitive leagues to the referees who promote injury because of their inadequate presence and inaccurate calls.I understand that referees are a challenge anywhere but the quality of refs varies so greatly its disturbing. I have seen players on other teams or our team go up and admit to a foul that happened and the referee makes the call not to correct it and it changes the game completely. I have watched players get leveled and get the foul called on them. I have watched players stand still and get run into and the person who ran into them gets a free kick and a card for the immobile player. The fact that referees like Darren are allowed by management to antagonize players into reacting because of their behavior is unacceptable. Hopefully someone takes this to heart and realizes that things need to change before they cause broken bones.
Kids school party was there with bounce houses. They let everyone stay a few minutes past the reserved time so the kids could eat.
Have been hear reacently for a variety of birthday parties. Can be expensive, but kids always have a good time. Outdoor water birthday parties are great...and the staff is always really good with the kids.
It is a really nice place but managent is trash
My rating is specifically about the soccer program. The competition is solid. Weve had a lot of great games and most teams are filled with good people who play fair. However, there have been some noticeable problems with dirty play and the referees.I typically am not one to complain about the refs, but they just arent adequate for this intense level of play. Indoor soccer is strenuous on the body and with boards and semi-hard floor, it is easy for injuries to occur. Its up to the refs to control the game and they simply havent been doing that. About half the refs do a great job while the other half simply arent suited to handle the games. In our last game two of our players got hurt on very dangerous tackles from behind. One player is out for a year with a knee injury. Neither of the plays resulted in cards and none of the players from the other team apologized. Even the most basic refs should know a dangerous tackle from behind deserves a card. Yet there were zero issued. Its an adult soccer game and when people are tackling from behind and the ref isnt punishing the play, there is a problem. When the games involve fair players and teams, it is fun. However, when there are dirty players which happens more often than it should in an adult soccer league, the refs dont seem to know how to handle it.I think the competition is good at the bladium, but would not recommend it until the injuries and dirty players are kept under control. Some players need to be ejected from the league and the refs need to keep the foul play under control.
My little one loves and enjoys Little kickers class.
No parking place at all. Every time I’m here I have to run around for more than 15 min to find a parking. If you don’t have parking place why you plan so many people at the same time !?!
Fun staff recent remodel limited group exercise options but good newer equipment and great pricing.
Great gym. All the equipment you need, and AMAZING fitness classes and instructors.
Cool exercise place for childrens birthday parties..
This review is strictly for the soccer aspect Bladium offers.Specifically the refs they employee here. We have been here for about 3 years now and have noticed teams always have issues with the refs, specifically Jason, within the competitive league. On multiple occasions the refs have antagonized and instigated arguments with players over a foul either called or not called. When an explanation is asked for about their decision the refs have either insulted, ignored and have even received a Blue Card. Very rarely will a player receive an explanation from a referee about a foul. Jason specifically has given players Blue Cards for his explanation of, I feel like it.Our team has submitted formal complaints to management about these issues and still nothing has been done to remedy the situation. Jason and multiple other refs abuse their power to influence the game instead of letting the teams play within the rules.I would highly recommend Bladium review their referee staff and train their referees to be professionals.
Great place to play soccer or have events for your kids!
The kids play area with inflated slides, obstacle courses and jump houses are great for a younger kids birthday party.
This place is great, and so are the people however if i could rate different areas with a star i would have to give the kids play area a no start. I believe this area is a health issue for kids. It looks like it hasnt been cleaned or whiped down it years. The kids are required to wear socks and the rules are not inforced. I asked one of the workers how often Do they get wiped down-and how come the kids are not required to wear socks. She said she did not know, I think this is a great idea for kids that need somewhere to play in house however I feel like it is not sanitize right and can be a big health issue. The 1st time I took my child there we went back home and he got sick. I took my son there for a second time and he is sick. The germs there are outrages and I believe that they should come-up with a better cleaning solution for the health of parents kids
The maneger from this place likes to make his favorite teams for example today june 3 the team we were playing had 3 golas then our team scores and the manager comes and tells us even if we win they are going to mark it as lost i do not recomend this place to anyone 😡
Ive been coming to bladium for 5 years now and the reffing and management of soccer has gotten worse over the years. The refs talk back and even swear at you. The refs also have bias over certain teams which is evident by the calls they make. The competition is decent but overall it is not worth the kind of money that they are asking for. This review has nothing to do with the gym or the staff at the gym. If I could rate them separately i would give them a 5+ rating. This is simply a rating of the refs and soccer manager for the soccer portion of bladium. Other surrounding areas that offer soccer are much cheaper with better reffing. This will be my last season playing at bladium due to the poor conditions and reffing.Update:I do not recommend anyone to play here. They lost all of their bad refs and hired refs that are worse and have no idea what they are doing. The soccer manager hires all of his friends to be refs and they have no clue what they are doing. This then in turn puts a huge risk to the players due to inadequate knowledge of the game and poor tackles that are not accounted for/dealt with leading to fights. The soccer manager also has no clue to what he is doing and unfortunately bladium is money hungry and will not address the issue as long as they are getting their money regardless of the fights on the field. The only reason this place has decent ratings is because of the gym.
Kids have lots of fun.
This has been my favorite place to weightlift for over a year now! The new renovations look great & so does the new Sauna
The worst place to play soccer because of the conflict of interest!!! The referee Armando acts like he is the owner of this place, he makes false calls for personal reasons and uses his referee authority to get away with things unrelated to soccer and his referee job. Im going to start a petition against the unfairness he projects on the job and gather signatures because Im not the only one affected by his actions and something should be done about people that take advantage of their authority. I will also be reaching out to management.PS: I got his name wrong, the refree name was Armando.
Nice enough, I guess until you try to cancel your membership. Then the games start....
Absolute worst place Ive ever played indoor soccer at. First of all, the team fees are ridiculously high compared to other places. And the reffing and customer service are a joke. Specifically Sean Manning and the referee Jason were very unprofessional during my time playing there. The director Manning is very disrespectful and condesending. When I asked him to explain the reasoning behind some decisions made on and off the field, his response was that he talked to everyone involved and that he knows everything that happened was he clearly didnt. He also igrored a number of my emails and phone calls when i was trying to get an unfair suspension lifted for my teammate.I will never play at this place again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Weekends need to be open earlier, and the price needs to come down. Too expensive for what you get
Little Kickers program is a good place for little ones starting out with the sport. We enjoy it.
Nicely remodeled. I like the virtual classes.
The Bodyflow class (a fusion of tai chi, yoga, and pilates) is really good. My only complaint is that it only meets a couple times a week. My kids enjoy the childcare facilities, and the employees that run it seem to actually like kids! They do a great job wearing them out in the bouncy-houses so I can enjoy my post-yoga buzz....for a little while anyway.
PROS: the staff, great people helpfulCONS: the floor and mirrors were dirty.
They steal games wouldnt check the cameras to see that we won
I hate to give this five stars because I dont want people to come here and have it turn into 24 hour fitness (where you literally cant workout because a million people are there). Unfortunately Im obligated because its a great place to workout
We had a birthday party and they were not set and we waited 10 min for the party to set. And on normal day they dont let kids play on the basketball court or soccer field
Is great to go play soccer
I played soccer here and now i am bringing my son.
Supportive staff. I use weights, cardio machines and classes.
Kids love their bounce castle
Great spot to be host a kids party but was hot in the summer without the AC on and kids bouncing
Great place for kids birthday parties!
Nice clean and super crowded
Good soccer facility. A bit expensive but they know we dont have many options.
Nice center but parking is a NIGHTMARE, give yourself 20 minutes to find a spot.
Best gym out there!
Great instructors and classes for workout
Awesome place for the whole family
Great level of competition.
Great gym good for kids too
The facility is in badly need of some refreshing - cleaning, painting, refurbishing, etc.
