I called to set up a haircut and beard trim. The person who took my phone call confirmed that they were performing beard trims and so an appointment was made. I showed up today and got a haircut. Once the barber, Scott Mayo, was done he informed me that they dont do beard trims. As he is telling me this, I am watching two other gentlemen getting their beards trimmed right before my eyes. The barber was also very rude. When I sat in the chair he asked how I do my hair. After I told him (like 5 times) he said, well that seems counter productive. Thanks for a horrible experience tried and true. You definitely lost a customer today.

Great experience. I decided to get my hair cut off from really long to a different shorter haircut and wasnt sure what I wanted and Joe gave me a great haircut. The environment is friendly and it is basically like a place you want to go to not just because of the great haircuts but because of the atmosphere. I will be going there for my haircuts from now on.

My kiddo needed a haircut while we were in town and I wanted to check out what all the talk was about this place. He hates getting his haircut so it takes the very most patient person to deal with it. Scott was fun and so inviting. It was a really great experience. My son warmed right up and chatted away. And his hair looks amazing.

I have absolutely without a doubt found my new hair stylist in Joe @ Tried and True. I cant stop grinning at myself in the mirror. I have a super thick head of Greek hair with a tricky hairline, and I havent been this happy with a style in a long time. Joe is super professional, super experienced, and I felt completely confident in what he was doing every step of the way. Stylish, cozy little shop, and everyone here had a really great vibe. First off, the shop is going above and beyond the states COVID safety requirements, which is huge for me. Youll get a disinfected seat, everyone in masks, and theyre self screening regularly. Hes also a cool dude and we had an easy conversation even though Im usually not very chatty.The cost is a little high, but its worth it for all of the above.

Great shop. Super friendly barber in a small and homey place. Had an issue with scheduling due to an online mix up but he got me right in for a buzz and a beard trim. No hassle at all and he was very informative about the surrounding area and history. Enjoyable experience for sure.

Deon (spelling?) did a great job on my beard trim for the most part. He shaped it very well. I showed him a picture from a year ago when I had a beard, and he matched it in shape, shorter upon my request.I am leaving 3 stars because he did two things I didn’t ask for. He initially asked if I wanted a razor line up. I said no, just to leave it natural. Well he did it anyway and it was too late by the time I realized what he was doing. He then preceded to round out the hairs around my ear. Keep in mind I’m growing my hair out, so it’s all long but now the hair in the front part of my ear is an inch shorter than what’s right beyond it. There’s a huge disconnect and it will take almost 2 months to grow it back an inch, at which point it still won’t be caught up with the rest of the length. I sound like a whining kid, but growing hair takes time and I was supposed to get new acting headshots next week. Not anymore.Just a suggestion to make sure and repeat yourself I guess before the barber starts? I think he rounded out the hair by my ear to match the edging up he did with the razor, which I asked him not to do. Oh well. At least the beard is shaped nicely.

These guys are awesome - Thorin, Scott and Jeremy are all great barbers and very accommodating. Theyve always squeezed me in when I needed a last minute haircut before an event or something last minute. Their space is well appointed with a good vibe. I would recommend them over anyone in the area!

Decent haircut...but not worth $35 in my opinion. Especially when you’re in the chair for only 25 minutes. $35 is pricey for a cut...this is not NYC. I will be trying Game 7 today who charges a reasonable $25.

Dion did an ok job at cutting my hair, but completely messed up my hairline and decided to add some modifications I didn’t ask for!

I’ve been coming to this barber shop off and on for the past 3 years; since it was just Scott. I’ve had lots of good cuts and good conversations here. Unfortunately that relationship has ended. I’m being refused service because I disagreed with one of the barbers political posts on Facebook. As someone who’s been coming here for quite some time, it’s sad that it’s come to this. Disagreeing with someone’s public Facebook post now gets you exnayed from the business. The world we live in...
