Sanders& Johnson were excellent in getting technicians out to us the same day that we called. Technicians Quinn and Jimbo were great working quickly and efficiently to determine the problem with our AC. They were both friendly and clearly experts in their field. They answered all of our questions and got the job done.

We had a very disappointing experience with Sanders and Johnson. Our daughter bought an old home in Denver and we went out to get some things done prior to move in. We saw this company’s name/number on the furnace, so called them to do the maintenance. The person who came was very nice, did the furnace maintenance, then headed out to the A/C which kept tripping the breaker. Despite the fact that the unit didnt stay on for more than a few seconds before the breaker tripped, we were told it needed to be replaced and a salesperson came out very quickly to give us a quote. We were charged the full price of maintenance for both units, but decided to wait until warmer weather to deal with the A/C. Our daughter moved in and immediately replaced the breaker that had been tripping. Fast forward to Spring when the weather got warmer. Turned on the A/C and it was working! I called Sanders and Johnson and asked them to come out and do the maintenance on the A/C since it was working fine. They said they would charge AGAIN if they came out as the $139 they charged was a diagnostic charge. I explained that it was a misdiagnosis since it was working fine. They said theyd get back to me, but never did. So, I emailed again recently asking for a refund since my daughter found another company to do maintenance. No response. I am truly puzzled that they would charge $139 to say we needed a new $10,000 installation and refused to come out to maintain the unit when informed it was still working fine. I cannot recommend this company!!RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: Im sure much of what you say is technically true, and I was going to let it stand, but after re-reading your response today, I feel I need to respond to you:1-I believe the technician did find something not up to perfect performance in the A/C compressor, but his recommendation was to get an estimate for full replacement. (which included replacing furnace also which made sense considering the age of everything).2-The reason I got a quote for just replacing the compressor was because I specifically asked about it when we saw the cost of full replacement. The compressor alone was several thousand, so we decided it didnt make sense and waited for Spring to make decisions.3-The electrician (who was at the house to do other things) said the breaker was not the right size for the unit, and after replacing, it never tripped again.4-We understand that this is an old unit and is not running optimally, but it is working and cooled the house for the entire summer. We asked that you come out to do the maintenance originally requested. You say you dont do that as it would be a waste of the customers money, therefore unethical. However, we already paid the diagnostic fee and were asking you to do the maintenance at no cost since the A/C was working, i even specified that we knew it might not make it through the summer. And, had your company agreed, you would not have lost the business when replacement becomes necessary.5-Even if ALL you say is 100% correct, I emailed on 5/21/21 to request the maintenance. i heard back the very next day saying someone would get back to me. Never heard back. I wrote again on 6/9/21 to say A/C still working, no response. So we moved on. On 9/2/21, I wrote again to ask for a refund of the $139 since the A/C worked all summer and someone else did maintenance. Never heard back.6-We are fine and Im sure your company does good work most of the time. But, in this case, you were a disappointment...and your response to the review may make some valid points, but doesnt change what happened. And, no one ever got back to me to discuss this--the biggest disappointment of all.

Customer Beware !!!!!This company installed my furnace, AC, and hot water tank 8 years ago when it was Sanders and Johnson. It has since been bought out and not the same owners. My AC was not cooling the house below 79 degrees. I called for a technician on July 1 2021 They told me over the phone it would cost $139 to diagnose the unit..When the technician was done checking my AC he said the refrigerant was low and was leaking oil but he couldnt find the leak. He called his supervisor and a different technician has to come out to diagnose the AC. When I was getting ready to write the check he said the fee is now $315 because it took an extra half hour to diagnose. At this point I became very upset with the tech and this amount. He really didnt do that much work and my AC unit still wasnt working. I should have never paid him that amount. The new Sanders and Johnson doesnt want to keep old customers. I called a different company from the Tom Martino referral list the company is called Northglenn heating and air. the technician found the leak right away .It was a faulty valve stem that cost $0.89 cents and the leak was very obvious. He replaced it and topped off my refrigerant with 3 pounds in less then 1 hour and that total cost was $347. My AC unit is working perfectly now. Why couldnt the Sanders and Johnson tech find the leak? This is not the same Sanders and Johnson!!!!!!!!! They ripped me off of $315.

IF YOU ARE INSTALLING A NEW FURNACE OR AC UNIT AND WANT TO RECEIVE A REBATE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am a 16 year customer of Sanders and Johnson. I recently had them install a new AC and Furnace. The sales manger came out to do the quote for the replacement. He gave us multiple quotes and then explained the advantages of each as compared to the cost of the system. We ended up putting together a system that met our needs. I asked him about energy rebates as the quote did not have any listed. He told us that the rebates change and they would file all the appropriate forms and submit them. then send the rebate to us. After calling several time over the next couple of months and not receiving any answers or call backs I called again and I was told there was no rebates. My neighbor had a new AC and Furnace installed, same specs as mine and received a $500.00 REBATE!!! I started looking on Xcels web site and found that to get the rebate the units had to be installed by one of their APPROVED installers. Guess what, Sanders and Johnson are NOT on the list, so I was lied to about the rebates. Remember, I am a 16 year customer, now EX-CUSTOMER. I take some responsibility I should have done rebate checking on my own, my bad. However, after 16 years with them I was dumb enough to believe what they were telling me. Wonder how much it has cost me over the years?

Very good service! Used this company for my parents as well. One gentleman in particular, Quinn, has served our many households and is top notch to say the least. So many times I have been disappointed with the service in this day in age by other companies. Sanders and Johnson is a rare bird that has itheir priorities right: treating customers with respect, telling them what to expect, and giving “quality” service. You can truly trust them.

We needed an expert opinion regarding installation of our tankless water heater. We called on a Monday morning and had a technician arrive by 2:00pm the same day. The assessment was honest, concise and professionally rendered. We have used Sanders and Johnson for years, always with good results.

They performed a thorough inspection of my A/C unit and compressor and did all the necessary cleaning and maintenance. The cost was reasonable, and their work was highly professional. Sanders and Johnson has been our HVAC company for both home and business for close to 40 years. During the extremely cold period last Winter, this company responded almost immediately to a crisis we had when the furnace stopped working. Lee diagnosed the situation and had a solution that got our heat restored the same day that we called. Working in bitterly cold conditions in our basement, he did what had to be done to correct the problem. More recently, Lee came yesterday to service both our furnace, air conditioner and ductless system in a neighboring property. He is a consummate professional who explained what he was doing in a manner that we could understand. We are entering the summer cooling period with confidence that our systems are functional and ready to go. I recommend both Lee and the company most highly.

Disingenuous practices. I had a technician come trouble shoot my AC. The technician spent a total of MAYBE 15 minutes on site including the replacement of my capacitor. They charged me $139 for the visit and $212 for the part. After the technician left, I was curious to see exactly how much the part costs.....$12 on any site I could find. I messaged dispatch@sandersandjohns….This is what they responded with:139.00 is a trip fee with the diagnosis to run test on your system to locate the issue.212.08 is the capacitor and labor charges for installing the part. This covers our overhead and warranty with very little room for any profit at all.We do not install any parts purchased by homeowner.Unfortunately we do not compete with the internet.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I understand the $139 for the trip fee, but less than 15 minutes of work costs $200????And I also understand a mark up on parts, but 10-20X is insane. Stay away from this place.If you are not mechanically inclined and dont do proper research they will get you!! I cant imagine all they people they nickle and dimed on large projects. Shame on these people.

The techs are very courteous and they do a good job of explaining the programming of the thermostat as there are no instruction manuals on this device.

Returned home on the night of Presidents Day to a 48 degree house. The furnace malfunctioned and the blower was not producing heat through the vents. I called Sanders and Johnson first thing in the morning and they put us on the scheduled for that afternoon. Josh, the Sanders and Johnson rep, actually arrived fifteen minutes early and went to work. It wasnt long before he had the furnace up and running and the blower sending hot air through the house. Josh even called back a few hours later to check and make sure everything was working okay! A job well done by a company and employee where service and customer satisfaction is the number one goal. Thank you Sanders and Johnson and Josh for saving the day!

Chris V. came out for an “after-hours” call and was very prompt, being here within the timeframe that was quoted over the phone. He explained everything that was going on, and found the solution within minutes of opening the furnace. He was extremely knowledgeable, and we are so happy that we called. Sanders and Johnson have been great to us, installing a new A/C unit, Furnace, and Water Heater, and there is no one else that we would call.

Technician Chris was prompt, very pleasant and professional, and explained what he was going to do as part of the service. He took several pictures of the furnace guts to talk through what he saw and recommendations. Very thorough and talked through different options with no pressure. A very positive experience!

Weve used Sanders & Johnson for 20 years and never been disappointed. Chris did a great job on the preventative heating maintenance and gave us a detailed explanation of how the HVAC in our house worked as wed just moved in about six months ago. Gave us some tips on how to improve the heating and cooling in the house. Gave us some literature on upgrading the air filtration system with polarized air cleaners and UV air purifiers, but no hard sell. He was on time, very professional and cleaned up the area thoroughly after completing his work.

Honest Work for Honest Prices is the moto on their business card and very much my experience with this company. I had 4 quotes to replace a water heater, that needed to be moved, brought up to code on several items, and to have the floo replaced out through the roof. Their price was in the middle of the quotes, though all were relatively close. I went with them b/c they took time to point out things that would need to be done with whomever I went with and pitfalls other people might not cover. They also brought up additional safety measures they would do on the project. As for the work itself, Erik and Quinn (who also did the quote) were on time and got the job done thoroughly and in a reasonable time & were very professional. There were no surprises on the pricing, and all the things pointed out in the quote were done, along with everything being explained to me too with the new set up. the office staff with scheduling were also really great to work with. I would 100% hire them again! ((and turns out a neighbor saw their vans at my house and has used this company for years as well))

Im a real estate professional and have used Sanders and Johnson a several times and recommended them to friends, family and clients. They are one of only a couple HVAC vendors I recommend. I dont think you can go wrong with them, they check all the boxes.

Never again. S&J installed my Rinnai hot water heater years ago.. Have had trouble with bugs getting in the fan over the years. Very common problem (see YouTube) that S&J had remedied for me on other occasions at a fair price. But recent experience was horrible. First tech came out and swore up and down he didnt know what the problem might be (despite my telling him about the regular bug problem). I still had to pay him for the call (for which he did nothing but look at me helplessly). On a second call, the Tech (Robert Q) said hed replace the fan for $800 plus a full cleaning of the system for $600 more. Declined. Still paid $350 for him to blow the bugs out of it. Did not improve situation--fan still roared. A complete waste of $350. A bit of research on YouTube and a $79 part from SupplyHouse (which I easily replaced in 15 minutes with a screwdriver) fixed the problem. Now it purrs like a kitten. For a job that S&J quoted me $800 to do. $800! For a 30 minute job at max. Usury. Absolutely unreasonable costs. I asked for money back for bogus call, and ended up in a heated conversation with the tech (the management never called me...never bothered...apparently my years of loyalty do not matter to new owners of company). Robert said he would get back to me. Of course, he never did. So Im done with you S&J. I cannot trust you to charge me reasonable prices. I cannot trust you to take me seriously. You apparently feel that soaking customers--even loyal ones--is the way to do business. I have YouTube, a screwdriver, amiable parts people at SupplyHouse, and a bunch of other HVAC companies from which to choose.

The AC system that S&J installed last year was damaged when a solar system was installed on our roof. They repaired the damage for NO additional cost and cleaned up the attic as well. The technicians were excellent and did a great job. I’d highly recommend this company to others.

Mike is the “Man,” wearing managerial hats for service, installation, & sales.Mike arrived at my home less than 24 hours later.I was under the impression that my very old swamp cooler needed to be replaced for reasons of bio-health (pervasive corrosion).While confirming the very real potential for compromising my family’s health, he suggested a much less expensive solution...Turns out, the four panels on each side of the unit can be replaced at a far lower cost than replacing an entire unit.In a nutshell, Mike delivered Expertise & Integrity, on a timely basis.

We first used Sanders & Johnson back in 2010 for a new furnace install and it has worked great. Fast forward to 2019, Central Air stops working on hot August 95 degree day. I call them next morning at 8am and they still have me on file, can come out between 11 and 1pm - they arrive early and fix the A/C unit in plenty of time. Erik explained what was wrong, had the replacement part and had the house cool in no time! Great work and great price! Highly recommend them for heating and cooling needs!

S & J has been servicing our 2 furnaces,1 AC unit and a humidifier for over 20 years. Realizing, we were on borrowed time with these units, we had Dan come out and do an analysis and pricing of what new systems would cost. He gave us 3 options and spent a good deal of time explaining each one. We made our decision and we were able to schedule the installation for the following week. Brad and Ryan came out and did a fantastic job of removing all the old equipment and installing the new. The entire job took a day and a half (another outstanding tech came with them on the second day). They put down tarps from the entry to the furnace room so that the floors never got dirty. When they were finished all systems were tested and we received a tutorial and were given all the manuals for the products. Then they thoroughly cleaned up their work space. We highly recommend Sanders and Johnson!

I had called the Plumbing and heating company who originally installed my furnace and they told me that because of the adverse weather conditions, they wouldn’t be working today, even though my furnace, Which was still under their warranty, wasn’t working and the outside temperature was below 20°. I then called Sanders and Johnson, spoke with Lisa, who was very helpful and understanding. She arranged for a technician and Wes arrived within the hour. He immediately figured out the problem, repaired it and my heat was running within the next hour. Ive been with Sanders and Johnson since 1980s. Theyre the best! They have replaced and serviced my boilers and hot water heaters for decades. My house was built in 1924! They are experts, always do a good and thorough job. Their service men are intelligent, interested in my concerns, and always educate me on what Im dealing with. I feel they are honest and their prices/fees are fair and comparable. Lets just say you get what you pay for! A good company with a good reputation.

We were experiencing issues with our furnace not igniting and concerned because of the upcoming cold nights ahead, we called a lot of other companies and were able to get Sanders and Johnson to confirm theyd work on getting a tech out today. HVAC tech Nick came out within a few hours and got our furnace up and running. ..very friendly and knowledgeable, will use them again.

In-n-out pros. The furnace at our rental home died during a bitterly cold day. S&J came out immediately to help. A few hours later we had a warm house, a new furnace and a very happy tenant. These guys define great service.

It was over 100 degrees last week in Denver for multiple days and our AC went out - it was miserable and our home was uninhabitable. We got a few bids that were insanely high (we also needed to replace our furnace and water heater). One person came out and tried to do a bunch of add-ons that we didnt need, another person clearly didnt know what they were talking about - it was so stressful! Then Dan came out from Sanders and Johnson and took the time to explain everything. He provided a quote at a reasonable price for all the work and we felt very compfortable with both him and the company. His team came out the next day and completed everything in a reasonable timeframe. They were professional, courteous, and respectful to us and our neighbors. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Mike Conrad, Service Manager, and his team were very knowledgeable and kind to us during our recent project to replace and upgrade our entire HVAC system at our home. Mikes and James follow-up was, and continues, to be superb. Mike had a knack for explaining complex HVAC issues in clear and understandable terms, and never talked down to us. He didnt over-sell us, but explained options very well, and built a lot of trust with us. Weve used Sanders and Johnson for 22 years, and we will continue to do so.

We have been with Sanders and Johnson for 20 years. We chose to replace our 20yr. Old furnace instead of repairing it. Nick went above and beyond to make sure we had heat and were taken care of. We met with Dan and were able to get it installed on a weekend. (No extra charge.) Nick did and excellent job of explaining ever step and making sure we were satisfied.

After evaluating my dead home heater S&J was able to get the system running with a simple fix. I was very impressed that they gave me honest advice that I did not need a costly repair at this time. The technician (Michael I think) was also very friendly and clearly very knowledgeable. I appreciated the technicians honesty and I will certainly call them next time my unit has problems.

My air conditioner died on a record-breaking hot day. Joshua from Sanders and Johnson did a great job getting it to run again at a very reasonable cost. This company has also serviced my furnace. Joshua came and was earlier then what they told me which was GREAT because most people are late or don’t show up at all and when you are dealing with no AC the earlier the better! He got straight to work and had it fixed within 25 minutes. He was very kind and helpful and I will use them from here on out!

S&J had completed three furnace replacements for us doing good work at reasonable prices, so we contacted them to diagnose and propose a solution to a problem with a fairly new furnace installed by another contractor, and to write up proposals for residential furnace replacements three additional properties.They advised going back to the other contractor to fix the problem with the one furnace, and declined to provide proposals for the other properties saying they do not have the bandwidth for such projects so therefore we will decline this work. We have also decided to decline all future service requests for your properties. Youll need to find another HVAC company. (Dan Mingle)They declined to even discuss what needed to be done, let alone scheduling or pricing. Apparently they are too busy to continue working for repeat customers.

They do great work on repairs and maintenance. Have used their services for over 10 years. They always explain what needs repaired and they have kept our furnace and ac in good running order. Technicians are always friendly and conscientious.

I was really happy with the work Sanders & Johnson did on our boiler, and I’m really excited that we finally found an hvac contractor in Colorado that we can trust. I have hired a lot of other contractors that would brush off my questions, withhold any explanation of what they were doing, or would only answer my questions directly to my male partner, presumably assuming I couldn’t understand the response anyway. Nick was extremely helpful in explaining how the system is designed to function and what was wrong. He was really knowledgeable and very quickly identified the problem, checked with me before he did any work, and got the unit back up and running properly in a short amount of time - after two other companies could not solve the problem after several hours. We look forward to working with S&J again!

Sanders & Johnson installed my furnace & AC over 15 years ago. I have had them regularly service it twice a year ever since. I am so pleased with them. I have only had to call for additional service twice & both times they came right away. I usually have Jessie who is a very knowledgable & personable man. I look forward to catching up with him twice a year. After all this time I figure I will need something new one of these days & I will not even think about going to anyone else. A/C stopped working, called Sanders and Johnson in the morning and they were able to come out the same day. They were professional and fixed the A/C in a timely manner. They explained the problem and told me how they would fix it. Great customer service .

We had a furnace put in by S & J in April of 17, and now a hot water heater this week. Nick was courteous, professional, and personable.. The install was clean and fast - everything was terrific. Highly recommended - this is the only company we use for work of this type.

My disabled daughters furnace went out last week during the first cold spell. We had a man named Mike come who quickly stated our problem was the thermostat which I had recently replaced after the heat stopped working. He switched some wires around which I could have gotten wrong. He then gave me a long sales talk about how her furnace needs to be replaced. I was charged for extra time b/c of the sales pitch. I was charged $184.00 for switching some wires in a thermostat which was already installed. The furnace stopped working 5 minutes after he was out the door. Of course, he would not come back! I will not be using them again. Watch out if you are elderly or disabled! I called on a Saturday morning, the on call person, Erik, thoroughly explained the difference in charges before he came out. Do not waste your time

We recently used Sanders & Johnson to replace a water heater and install a recirculation pump to help with hot water availability to our master bath. The installers arrived on time and were diligent about completing the installation in a timely manner. Everything worked well and the problem was solved. We previously used S&J for a furnace and AC replacement at another house and would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks for a painless and easy process!
