That man drilled the acrylic all the way to my natural nail and kept going til I felt a sharp searing burning pain. He then continues to deny that he didn’t hurt me at all. Throughout the rest of my set he was drilling the skin around my nail. My skin was literally being drilled off, On about four fingers. Then he had gotten upset that I asked for rounded shape. I should have just left but I needed my nails done and it was kind of late. I did get a pedicure which was amazing a younger gentleman did that he was very careful and did not hurt me constantly. As I was sitting the guy working there was answering the phone rudely. Just don’t go there are better places

Not the same ppl working there from the last time I went. Then Was only told they do shellac but was ok with it because that’s what I wanted polish but the man put thick powder I ask what is that he said it’s shellac powder before I put my hand under the light I told him there was spots not filled and they was too thick. This was a last minute place to go but never again!! I’ll rather not get nothing done but it was my bday. It has only been a couple days and my shellac on my feet (3 toes) is completely gone. SMH I would not recommend this place to anyone at all.

I went here for a pedicure and full set, I wanted color acrylic and was told they could only do shellac.I was tight on time so I said okay.I got a basic pedicure and full set short with yellow Shellac. No designs, no crystals very basic.I was charged $90! My fault for not asking the price before but I anticipated $60 as that is what any other shop would charge for the services they provided.I was charged an extra $30 for ???The girl who did my pedicure actually did okay.Not even happy with my nails as the polish is chunky and the clear coat he applied on top had bits of green glitter in it from a previous customer. Not to mention the way he treated some of the people coming in for service was horrible!I’m really not for drama so I paid the money and left unsatisfied! Please do not go to this shop!Worst experience ever!!

I visited Ruby Nails for the first time 8/8. The wait time was a little long as they only had 3 staff working this day. I waited approximately 45 minutes before they allowed me to soak my feet for my pedicure (no biggie). The guy that did my feet was amazing. He was gentle. He asked me if I liked my pedicure & I did. Took a while but overall I’m satisfied with the look. My nails however… after getting my pedicure I was able to instantly get my fill in. I was happy thus far until the male nail tech did my nails. He roughly removed 2 of my nails (Ouch). Ripped my natural nail on my pinky & applied gel on top. It burned a lot. I asked for my nails to be shortened. They were uneven. They do not use traditional nail polish anymore just shellac + (etc). I wasn’t aware that I’d be charged an additional $5 for my mood color polish for my feet and nails ($10 extra). I didn’t know until they finished my feet & started my nails. Usually I pay $70-$75 but here I paid $90. Nice, updated, clean shop but I can’t see myself going back.Update: second photo posted to show unevenness.

Poor service. When me and my daughter arrived it was empty. Now we know why. There were 2 workers and they both stayed on the cell phones the whole time. The lady who did my pedicure forgot to put my foot soak in because she was on Facebook! My manicure was done poorly not to mention when the man polished my daughters nails they were not smooth at all. Just went yesterday and one of her nails broke all ready. They were filed down to thin. Will not be going back.

Terrible. Absolutely not. Do not recommend. The fun-loving sisters who used to run this shop are no longer around. Its under new management. No publicly available prices. If the sign is on backorder, you can at least type them out. Dude who seems to be in charge is rude. And they dont use regular polish. Elderly customers may not want to use shellac especially if they dont want to come back to get it soaked off. This shop has the nerve to charge more for regular polish. Im not here for them.

Will never come here again the lady who did my nails was so rude and very aggressive with my hands and taking my nails off which ruined my nail beds because she was too impatient to soak them off so ripping them was better… lolAsked for ombré she got upset with me when the first nail she did looked off and I asked her if she knew what she was doing and she said “u want ombré right” she didn’t know how but continued to do so and was upset when I said stop and just give me a solid color since you’re clearly confused … ripped my hands around aggressively and then charged me 50 for shellac color … she gave me terrible anxiety I was so uncomfortable the whole time

Horribleee! This was my second attempt going to them (was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt after the 1st awful experience, but the second time was just as bad). I went in for a polish change on my toes and a shellac fill on my hands. The previous color was not completely taken off so I left with pretty much the new color on top of the old color showing-_- . Multiple coats of polish was applied, only to have my nails left uneven, with polish all along the cuticles. The lights were a bit dim so I didn’t get to see how terrible the paint job was on both my hands & feet until I left. Not to mention, while I was in there, SEVERAL people were returning to complain about the services that they were sent home with. I regret that I didn’t get the nail tech’s name or took pictures. Moral of the story, I will not be back. The prices are too costly to be given less than mediocre service.

Pls do not come here..... I went here cause this was the closet nail salon near me and let me tell you I did not get my nails done. I came and was surprised it was empty since alot of the nail salons are packed now ik why it was emoty... The prices are outrageous and you can only do shellac nails. Kevin was very unprofessional to not only me and my family but also to other customers that came in that wanted a service done because he was “tired”. His attitude was very poor, when my mother told him that she disliked her nails especially one in particular he blamed it on how her nail was and not on him being unable to do her nail correctly. I would not recommend this nail shop to anyone and they will never get me or my families business again

I had a terrible experience going two times there. The woman that did my nails was not focused on doing them and the guy that did my nails the first time was also not focused and he was terrible at it. Do not step in the store it is terrible it is overpriced and they are scammers.

The polish came off and didn’t dry at all. Service was terrible. When I called he hung up on me when I tried to tell him that the polish came off and didn’t dry. Bad experience I wanted a refund don’t ever go here I’d rather go out further.

When I went they told me I had to wait 45 minutes. I ended up waiting 2 hours. They let everyone go before me and everytime I tried to talk to them and ask questions they ignored me and walked away. Ive had my nails for only a week and the polish is chipping and two nails already fell off. My nails are different shapes and not what I asked for. One hand is round and the other hand is coffin shape. They are completely disorganized and disrespectful towards theyre costumers. They have no air filter... Your just breathing in all the chemicals as you wait 2 hours. I will NEVER go back to that nail salon again and I dont recommend it for u either. (PICTURES BELOW)

The new management is HORRIBLE and very rude. The owner(male) didn’t acknowledge me after I tried to tell him about one of his associates. The associate was passive aggressive the entire time after I told her I didn’t want gel. Then the owner finally acknowledged me after I finally told her she was rude.They will do your nails how they want to and not how you want them done.I will NEVER come back here.

This is the WORSTTTT nail place ever.I went to get my acrylic nails removed and it was the most painful experience and the technicians were extremely rude. The tools that they were using were also dirty. They used their own dirty nails to remove the nails. Dont recommend at allll!

Super slow. Waited 1 hour for daughter to get a pedi & she still never got it. We ended up going somewhere else.Update: tried this place again today 8/22/21. Took my daughter to get her nails polished. She went to look at the polish and the guy that works there told my daughter to “sit in a chair and don’t get up” idk who he thought he was talking to but there is no way he was gone get my BLACK dollars. This service is HORRIBLE and they are price gaugers. They tried to charge $70 for mani/pedi with regular polish, not even shellac. I would not recommend them to ANYONE!

The new management is not good. Nice people but are not good at pedicures and anything with acrylic. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. I have a sore on my big toe and one of my nails. Never again will I go there.

I had to update: went back there today in an emergency scenario where Id broken a nail and since I do hair I needed it fixed. I walked in and explained that I needed a repair. The man asked if I was a return customer? And if Id had this set of nails installed by them. I said no.. he said no they wont do my repair because I went somewhere else to get my nails done originally. He said I should go back to where I got them done for a repair. It was very jilted boyfriend vibes... smhTheyve had to sell half of the work stations presumably to combat closing as they had no customers waiting and 2 technicians busy... this place is sad and has the nerve to be selective.... I caused no scene just described to let this business die organically... from reading the other comments its happening one customer at a time

I’ve been doing my nails at Ruby’s for 3 years now ... best place to go. Sometimes there’s a long wait, but it’s definitely worth it. The staff is amazing and friendly and with time they literally start conversing you bout your life. I feel like family around them!! Also; no one is every allowed to touch my nails but them!! Idk what I’m going to do if I vacation overseas soon

They charged me $50 for a Shellac pedicure, I usually pay $35 for Shellac pedicure in Detroit, but they located in Dearborn so I see why. I love the color and service and clean salon, but they prices are a little on the pricey side.

I stopped in to get a shellac manicure, although nice and polite, my nail tech was young and inexperienced, they drew blood while filing my nail & blamed me for having soft skin. The result did look good but my nails broke within 2 days because they dont know how to remove existing shellac w/o damaging the nails. Thank god we have Tropical Nails in Dearborn, i will not be returning.

I was very disappointed in the previous owners for leaving and not telling their loyal customers that they were selling the business. I tried the new owners and I received the worst pedicure and manicure ever. Never ever going back. I paid extra to get shellac because I was going on vacation and it peeled off the next day. I had to wait until I got to Dubai to get my nails done again.

I went today with my mom and apparently they painted my nails horribly wrong and this was for my moms wedding, she was doing HE nails for the wedding and she hated the nails. I do not recommend going to this place because the employers rush on their job and do not do the right job correctly I told the employer nicely to fix my nail and he/she apparently so it looks good to me last time i recall isnt th customer always right and the turn out he/she did my nail a whole mother shape and shortened it, after I went home to wash my hands before I eat the color chipped off my nail. So I strongly recommend to never go to this place ever again cause thats what Im going to do

Highly recommended! They always do an amazing job. I have never walked out unsatisfied. They take there time and really listen to what I want done, even go above and beyond. There prices are fair and I trust them 100%

They are clean and time manageable. I dont recommend going on the weekends because that is when they are the most busy. They do great jobs with acrylics. They know what they are doing. This is the perfect place to get manicures and pedicures. It sits in a strip mall on the corner of Schaefer and Tireman. The establishment is clean and the massage chairs are new. Their techs treat you like you are family.

I am ashamed to say I paid money to get my nails done here! New people and they don’t know what they are doing. A pedicure that lasted 5 minutes in cold water. I will never go back!

Ive been going to this nail salon since my prom. Everytime I loved the service. If you ever want your nails done go to one of the family members. They always do the best. For eyebrows ask for Tina or her mom.

Always a long wait. A few of the style techs were arguing when instructed to take certain customers. Unprofessional on this occassion. There needs to be a better system for assigning people as they walk in.

Ive had my nails done here several times before. The first couple times was fine. But after that I had so many things go wrong. My nails would turn different colors, chip off with in days, become loose, and start peeling away at the cuticles. I just got my nails done about a week ago and the third day of having them they started to pull away from the cuticle. No I didnt do anything for them to be falling off. I called and she said if i came in she could take a look and fix it. Went in the next day and waited for an hour and a half and had something come up so I had to be in a little bit of a hurry and she told me she wasnt done with the other client. So she said I could go to her mom and so I did. Guess what she did. She glued the nail back on spilling glue over my finger tips. I was pissed because she was supposed to redo it not glue it on. So on my way out the girl asked me so what do you want I was like if my nails come off again Im coming back and getting them all fixed. Left. Next day same thing with my other nails so I call and shes like idk what youre doing that your nails keep falling off this I the first time that has happened. I go well it isnt like I go around fist fighting people and shes like idk maam maybe you do. And I started cussing which I admit isnt the best thing to do but I was pissed I payed money for those nails. For them to look good and stay on Not for them to fall off within a week. She was also being very rude. This is the shittiest place to go to get anything done. I had to give it a star to write the review other wise I wouldnt give it even half a star

For 4 years I have been going here getting my nails done and after today I will not return. $30 to paint nails without shellac is ridiculous. I waited 2 hours, the mother yelled at me. It was a totally mess. Linda needs to come back because the customer service has decreased drastically since Tina has been in charge & wait times are 2 hours or longer. I wish I could give no stars honestly.
