Excellent Service!!! Was visiting Daytona Beach from St. Louis, MO with my wife and three kids when the front brakes to our car decided to start grinding. My bad for ignoring warning signs before we took a 900 mile trip, but it is what it is. We were in a pinch because we had already checked out of our hotel and our three kids were in the car ready to hit the road back to St. Louis when we realized how bad the brake problem was, but we needed to get back home. I googled brake shops and in the results it showed this Pep Boys location. We dont have Pep Boys in St. Louis, that I know of anyway, so I thought I would take my chances, and it wasnt like I had much choice. With that being said I was glad we did decided to go here. The employee working the front desk was extremely friendly and very personable and understood our situation. They got our car in right away and diagnosed the brake issue. While they were working on the car and us not knowing how long it would take to replace the front brakes and rotors we took a tour of the Daytona Speedway, which is right across the street (great location). To my surprise midway through the tour they called and said the car was ready to go. If all Pep Boys locations are like this one I hope they open a Pep Boys in St. Louis because the service was great and these days good customer service is getting harder and harder to come by.

I have always had a great experience and not talked down to like some other places just because I am a woman. Motley was such a great help along with several others. I have recommended the location in Daytona to many people.

I visited this location and had a small nail removed and the tire patched. They opened the doors at exactly 7am, checked me in and started working on my car right away (and without an appointment). Less than 15 minutes later they returned the key and sent me on my way.

I just came out of Daytona Beach Pep Boys. They where fast, professional and very serviceable. The front desk attendant Motley called the Pep Boys in Delaware to help me since I didn’t have my warranty papers at hand. Gabriella the mechanic that fix my car was very fast and did a great job. Good team!

Ripped off with repair by manager Mike because I was from out of state and was stuck. I thought the part they were charging me for was double. I mentioned that it seemed high but he told me it was a good deal but that was a lie. Called other mechanics when I got home and it was a complete rip off...he lied about the price of the part!!! So shameful to take advantage of someone at their most vulnerable!!!

Went into this Pepboys right before they closed because my windshield wiper popped off. Motley was so kind and helpful. Even tho they didn’t have my size windshield wiper, he fixed the one I originally had to make sure I didn’t have to drive in the rain with one windshield wiper. So I walked in for my oil change appointment, the service person Michael wasn’t sure they would still be able to do my car as they were short staffed. Oddly enough I walked out of there less than 25 minutes later with the work complete and apologies for my wait! I’m originally from up north and I can safely say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, this was my best Pep Boys experience ever!Well done Daytona crew!

Took my car in for a screw in the tire. Was told it would be about 1hr and 1/2. My car was done in 30 minutes. Very friendly and great service. Highly recommend going to this Pep Boys.

I went to get a tire patched up, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Michael was super helpful and professional. I will for sure come back if need be. Highly recommend!

Would definitely avoid. I spent about 5 minutes waiting at the front counter while two mechanics played on their phones only to say shell be right with you. She never did come as I and other cjsto.ers stood inside at the register. I ended up going to the back part of the store only to find her listening to some other female employee complaining and cursing about another employee; something to do with unloading a truck. Stood there and they both didnt even care......will never come back again

Called this morning to have my tire inspected (picked up a screw somewhere) very friendly and quick service now I can enjoy my wknd and feel safe about driving on the highway thanks a bunch guys!

Good prices on tires but check the work. 4 tires with 4 different air pressure in them from 50 psi - 85 psi and didnt replace the valve stems with new tires like they are supposed to. I now its hard to find good employees now a days.

Had work done in Oct. 2020. New thermostat housing for a 2013 Jeep Compass. The work is warranted for one year( parts and labor). This housing has two thermostats. Now, 6 months later, the car overheats and I took it in to have it checked out. I was told the problem was a third thermostat in the water pump. Where is that?The rep, a guy named Mike, offers to sell me another thermostat housing for $708.00 . I explained that I already have a warranty on a housing previously installed at their Ormond store. He says that this is another thermostat somewhere in the cooling system. ??? I insisted, there is only one thermostat housing in that car with two thermostats, not three. I may be wrong but please somebody explain to me where this other thermostat isLong story short, I went picked up my car. No work was done on it. Except that the antifreeze reservoir was low(it was full when I went there). Ill have to take my car back to where the work was originally done. And please, if you go for work at this store; Watch out for a guy named Mike.!

Pep Boys came thru for me on a day when I just needed a little extra help. I cannot say how important customer service is and they knocked it out of the park. Michael was extremely easy going and kind and didn’t treat me like I’m an idiot because I’m a female. I needed someone to be quick and efficient and this spot was exactly that! Thank you Pep Boys!

After getting a screw in my tire right before our drive back home Pep Boys got me in quickly to repair my tire. They were very polite and professional. The shop was clean. I would highly recommend them.

I’ve been to this location twice— once for a routine oil change and once to get a LOT of work done on my 13 year old car. Both times I was very pleased but the second time Michael was exceptionally thorough with explaining what was wrong with my vehicle and what needed to be done. They did the work very fast and it drives like new now. He also took the time to offer me the in-house financing that saved me money and gave me a little time to pay it off. Thanks!

If you are not mechanically inclined to understand what is going on with your vehicle do not take it to this Pep Boys they will take advantage of you and try to take you for every dollar they can I set there two and a half hours waiting for my oil to be changed!!!! they stripped out my drain plug in the process as I watch them take advantage of the elderly people coming through the door I was very unsatisfied with the work that was done and I will never take my vehicle to this place again

Our cars battery died half a mile away and Jamel got us a new battery in 5 minutes and helped us get it back down the road. Highly recommend this Pep Boys!

Quotes one price. Looks at your vehicle then shot me a price 500+$ what i was told it could be by the service manager Aj. Do not go here. Guys were nice at the front desk i understand they’re just doing their job but 900$+ for a control arm... absolutely absurd. Like i said in the shop i hope the 30$ to lie to my face and to look at my car was worth it. I’ll be finding a new fleet company for my families 20 business vehicles as well.

We needed a tire at 30 mins to closing time. Not a regular tire, a special size trailer tire. Only one fellow in the store and he is not sure if he can help. So he goes to look....sure enough he has one!!! He mounts the new tire and loads in in my truck. Most guys would have said I dont have that tire and wouldnt have gone any farther. Facility was clean. Assistant manager very polite, and helpful. Service was fast and affordable. Didnt have to make an appointment which was very convenient. All employees had mask on and follow safety procedures. Hand sanitizer dispenser was empty.

I called today to have two new golf cart tires mounted onto existing wheels. A.J. didnt hesitate to tell me to come on in anytime. I brought them in, and I was done in 15 minutes. I just got brand new tires and all tires balance done on my mountaineer mercury drove to west palm with out no squeaking sounds. I let them do my alignment now my tires are making that squeaking sound again.

The guys at the Daytona Speedway location were great! We were stranded from out of town and Motley ordered our part right away after speaking on the phone with us (before we got the car to them) so they could get the car repaired faster and we could get home. The place was very busy but they still had our car on the lift within an hour and got the job done quickly for significantly cheaper than an Audi mechanic would have. Also, the car had to be pushed into a parking spot when we got there and one of the mechanics ran out to help my husband push it in spite of being extremely busy. As busy as those guys were they were still very pleasant, helpful, and personable. We are very pleased with their service!

Helped me when I was in dire need fast and awesome

Racing the Champcar 14 hr Endurance at the Speedway, lost a brake caliper (very exciting) and threw the tire weights. We thought we were done for the day. But one quick trip across the street and Jamel has us rebalance and back to these track!

As always unbelievably good service. I kind of called them on the spot and they were able to accommodate balancing 4 tires and installing them on my vehicle. I will state that it was a perfect balance. Also I knew the previous manager he was excellent also and the managers they have now is just as good if not better. Thank you all very much for the great service and a excellent balancing job. I will be back for a set of tires in the near future for my stock rims. Thanks again

Went there Sunday during race week, store was packed and busy mike who worked there let me k ow he had appointments and a wait time but could still get my car serviced I need an alternator and by God they got it done time for me to beat the race traffic, not only was Mike and the guys professional and respectful but they will help beat any ones price and make sure your car is in good working order will definitely be back to see mike and the boys at pepboys daytona, love them guys

I was told one of my tires needed to be replacedand all the other ones looked “perfect.” Well 200 miles later I got a flat. Can’t trust these guys.

Told me I needed an almost $900 repair that wasnt true, and wanted over $500 for the parts while the same exact parts were available for me to pick up in their store for $165. Did end up spending $5 to inject some grease into a joint (needle for grease gun) just to be on the safe side, but there wasnt anything actually wrong with the vehicle. I also ended up losing a hubcap thanks to them not getting back on right after they rotated the tires. I wont be taking my car there again.

Came to get a oil change got “synthetic” paid an arm and a leg for it for my girlfriends car because she was going out of town just for her to call me up telling me her oil is low so she took it to another shop just to find barely even a court worth of oil in her car.... like seriously guys I’m definitely calling in the morning

We were on our way back home to Miami and got a flat tire. The staff at this location was very rude to us. They were not willing to help us. Just to repair the tire they told us we had to wait 3 to 4 hours no choice. They did not want to help us at all. We ended up going to Daytona’s flea market where they willingly helped us knowing we needed to get home safe. I would never recommend or ever use Pep Boys Daytona.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!Not even sure they receive a 1 Star.I requested a service from Pep Boys about a sound I hear in my car when I make a turn and to get a oil change. I left my keys with the Service Person. Then I sat in my car in the parking lot for approximately 5min waiting for the mechanic to pick up my car. A young mechanic arrived and drove my car to the shop. I then went into the Pep Boys store and waited in the lobby.As I waited for approximately 1hr, the Service Person brought back( I believe) a CV axle that looked almost broken and told me that was the problem. Another Service Person was there too.Honestly I dont know much about cars so I believed the professional. I accepted and they proceeded to fix my car.The Service Person informed me as I waited approximately 1 hr more that the part was coming from another store so I waited.They finished and their mechanic drove back my car to the parking lot. The Service Person cashed me out for over $600.As I stared car, i heard the same sound that I asked about initially. I informed the Service Person and he came out to my car and started my car and did some kind of a diagnostic and told me that the problem is my steeringHe told me that the problem was miscommunication and they couldnt officially diagnosed the problem or fix the problemWHAT? For $600, really?This happened today.I called to speak with the Mgr, hes not there.

I am extremely impressed with the exceptional customer service that I received here. I was visiting the area from out of town and my battery died. After getting my car started with a jump. I drove to this Pep Boys and arrived close to closing time. Tori took care of me right away, and found me a great battery at a price that I could afford. Curtis installed the battery right away, and I was back on the road quickly. Had I not received such excellent service, I would have been stranded in Daytona for the night. I am so grateful, and I highly recommend this Pep Boys. Thank you!

I gave it two Stars because the people here are nice but as far as the prices they are astronomical I wouldn’t advise anyone to go here they tried to charge me $300 just to sand some rotors Most places I’ve called quoted me around $130. Every time I call here for a service because they are closest to my house it’s always an astronomical price. No thanks

Awesome crew here! Ive visited a couple of times, and I always get taken care of. Most recently, my tire wasnt holding air and admittedly not being knowledgeable about what the issue may be, I brought my car here and asked that they take car of it no matter the cost. When I came back at the end of the day to pick it up, they handed me my key and said Im good to go. Asked them the cost and they said dont worry about it. May have been an easy fix for them, but thats just too kind! I believe it was Ricardo who fixed the tire, him and the rest of the team are great. Highly recommend!

Went for an alignment didn’t get a history from what my tires were at to the new adjustment and my car doesn’t feel like it even got an alignment and they were done way to fast like it should’ve took longer than 5 mins

I wanted to share this story because I received suppior service last night at this store.I stopped by last night to get some fix a flat... I told the clerk that I would be back as soon as I put the stuff in my tire. I showed up 15 minutes before they closed and the service tech was waiting and ready for me. He quickly plugged my tire and checked all my other tires and got me back on the road.... What I really appreciate the most was that he did the job and didnt ask for anything from me... No solicitation for a review... He just helped me!!! Thank you service guy for being so sweet!!!

I always tell people that many people know how to fix cars, but never know how to do the job right. Its always finding the right place with the right people to get the job done.I made an appointment to get an oil change, but it still takes me an hour and a half to wait for it to be done, which is fine. The shop does a free tire rotation, but they didnt do the rotation, which is fine too.In my car, I have a bright color door panel and car seat, and as they were working, they made a few marks on the door handle and the seat, which I had to clean myself. This is fine again...The biggest issue that made me extremely upset was the oil leaks. Today, I found motor oil on my driveway. My car only has 37K mileage and it already has oil leaks? Impossible. I went under the car to find oil leaks coming from the oil filter. After I check the filter, I have found out the filter is not even tight. I had to make 4 complete turns to make the filter tight to stop the oil leak. This is not an acceptable mistake. If all the oil filter falls off and causes the engine to explode, who is held responsible? The shop itself has no problem, but I will never go back to this shop; just in case the same guy touches my vehicle.

Motley was awesome to work with. I came for the NASCAR race and had a nail in my tire when the race was over. Went to Pep Boys the next day and I was taken care of. Whenever im in the area, I know where to go!

I personally do not agree with the fact that I could not get my oil or filter changed because my car “presented noise” and the oil was too low. I went to a whole other place and they did my oil and filter change just fine AND told me that everything under my hood was in great condition. They went even further to add coolant to my car. Not wanting to be liable for something that may not even happen (which nothing happened to my car after my oil change) is something that needs to be looked over cause it makes no since for one place not to perform service on my car but I had drive down a couple of miles and got excellent service with no problems. It just seems like a professional way to say “we don’t want to work on your car.”

I called the location at 6:08pm to inquire about a tire repair and the gentleman who answered the phone advised me of the price, then proceeded to tell me that he can’t do it tonight as he is the only person in the store. Very unprofessional.

Was down for Bike week and the wheel bearing needed replacing. I had called and spoke with Michael twice about what it on the drive down, he was so patient and helpful. Tori was so wonderful with customer service when we picked up the truck.

Total rip off! Charged me $800.00 to install an alternator. A/C Delco factory alternator is around $115.00 And two hours labor? For two bolts! Stay away!!!!!!!!! Update just talked with the manager and he informed me my wife said we wanted a lifetime warranty so the alternator cost was close to $400.00 and their labor rates are comparable to car dealerships = expensive. Should have used either of my (local shops) I would have an extra $400.00+ In the bank!

Had a oil change saw my car was leaking oil the next day called and the Asst Service Manager his name was Michael Lataille he told me to bring it in he was very professional and took care of my car he went above and beyond great customer service . highly recommended .👌

Appointments are convenient and on time

Made an appointment here and when I got there all they said was, “it wouldn’t get done today”. This was just for an oil change. At least call or email people if something like this happens before they get there so they don’t waste their time.
