I enjoyed the class experience, but the overall experience with Soul Cycle not so much. Besides the 2 staff members that assisted me (at the front desk and with locking my shoes on the bike) I did not feel welcomed. As a young black professional who frequents the area it was disappointing to feel like I didn’t belong. It saddened me to see that I was the only woman of color, besides the 1 black woman working at the front desk. To add salt to injury the disregard for my presence was evident.It is unfortunate that my high hopes of finding a cool place to ride was flattened. I do not want to speak for this organization as a whole, but SC Uptwn’s work culture has shown it isn’t prepared for women like me.

Friendly staff and great workout.

My girlfriend loves this place and drags me here for classes whenever shes in town. Despite my best efforts to do otherwise, they always provide a great workout with each class. The instructors do a great job running the class, and the staff out front is always helpful.

SoulCycle was awesome! Unlike any other experience I have had in a cycle studio before. Instructors have done a phenomenal job leading a fun class every time Ive been in. Helpful staff is always very welcoming! Keep up the great work

I haven’t worked so hard or had more fun in a soulcycle class ever than I did in Valentina’s class at uptown!!!! She made me feel so welcome and part of the Dallas crew even though I was visiting from out of state. It was unreal.

TIU Challenge! Had to get my rides in even if Im from out of town. The crew at the Dallas Uptown location was wonderful.

I am about 10 classes in at Soul Cycle and this was my.second.visit.at this location since.last year. This morning was.the last straw. I just had.to.share my review with everyone with hopes one.day.this sterotype will change. I noticed on two separate occasions as i stepped into the doors at this.location, the staff would stare at me.as if to say...what are you.doing here I am a.beautiful, fit n trim woman.of color and fully capable to purchase rides, apparel, etc, however i am criminalized immediately by the staff. My first encounter happened last year, late.fall as i was leaving this facility.and one.of the.male staff members.leaned all the way.over the.counter.to look at my shoes in other words, he.seemed to be.making sure i wasnt leaving with their.shoes on my feet. After this incident, i began to take notice the staff did not say.have a.nice day or.good morning to me but said.it.to a.caucaisian person coming in or out. I.also noticed as.a caucaisian person walked over.to the apparel section, the.counter.staff didnt even turn in her.direction, however when i walked over to examine merchandise to purchase, EVERYONE BEHIND.THE.COUNTER TURNED TO WATCH MY EVERY MOVE. It seems no matter what youve accomplished in life, some people continue.to.assume youre a part of the sterotype. This and other encounters will never stop my rides at SoulCycle (at both locations here in DFW). I love the.philosophy, and the.Instructors. I really hope the.front staff would understand that every person.of color is NOT A CRIMINAL!Wake Up, People!!!
