DO NOT go here!! My sister payed for a class and was late because she could not find the place, and called but no one would answer. When she walked in the room the lady yelled and pushed her out of the door. They did not refund her and charged an extra fee of $25 on top of the class she paid for that she did not even attend. There were only TWO other people in the class. VERY unprofessional and informing everyone I know to NOT go here.
Vertical fitness is my second home. The coaches are awesome. The coaches are my like my family. They share thier knowledge with me and thier love of aeril. This is one of the best places to go to learn and grow strong
Instructors including the owner Karen foster nothing but a supportive an amazing environment. From beginners classes all the way up to the advanced classes nobody feels as though they cannot do anything. If you need a good workout or just want to try something new; one of their beginner classes a try.
Love the classes, if its your first time make sure to give yourself at least 20-30 minutes extra time to find the building and class. The teachers are amazing! As some one that fractured their back I needed to find a fun yet low impact workout. If other gyms have not worked for you I highly recommend giving this a try!
Ill start from the beginning:On January 17, 2020 I was provided a quote for a private aerial silks class for a friends bachellorette party. Was attempting to schedule for March 28th at 2:30. On January 21 I requested to reserve that date and time. I was told all I need to do was pay the deposit and it was mine. I paid the deposit under the assumption I was getting the time I wanted. I was NOT told that anyone else was interested in that date/time or I would have been a little quicker than 4 days to get back. Right after I pay the deposit I get an email saying the 2:30 is no longer available but I can have 4:00.Disappointed, the planning group agreed to this new time and adjusted the rest of our plans. The agreement to the 4:00 time happened over the phone, I asked for an email confirming my reservation and was told the deposit was my proof. I said after the disappointment of not getting the 2:30 originally requested i would really like a written confirmation and the person I spoke with (Karen) told me that this conversation was proof and that was all she was giving. WOW. I should have tried to get my deposit back in that moment! Then on March 16 Dallas ordered all gyms/fitness clubs to close. I called Vertical Fitness immediately after getting the news and asked for my deposit back. Again, I spoke to Karen and she was very quick. I checked my phone records and the conversation was literally a minute long. On the phone I said Hi I have a reservation (insert details) and I would like to request a refund for my deposit since the party can no longer happen, Karen was quick but agreed to issue the refund. AGAIN I asked for confirmation of the refund and she said they use a different server to handle that so she couldnt give me anything but I should see the refund in my account in a few days.A few days go by. Nothing. I email on March 23 asking for an update. Nothing. I send another email on March 26. Nothing.I decided to dispute the charge with my bank on March 30.April 2 I get an email from Karen saying shes so sorry theyve been figuring out their business plan and once they get assistance they can issue my refund but they dont know when that will be. I understand times are crazy hard, but you already agreed to give me my money back and now weeks later youre telling me youre not sure when you might be able to? I let Karen know I know disputed the charge with my bank and this was her literal response, We understand, thats probably the quickest way to get your refund as its through your CC/bank... our business is not allowed to refund your bank directly through VFD, it must be refunded directly through the banking dispute resolution department... Hope it is resolved soon!Unbelievably unimpressed. Will not ever consider using in the future even when re-planning the bachelorette.
Love this place!!! Great variety of classes. Had a class with Karen and she broke down the steps and made it easier for me to pick up. I was hesitant about taking silks, but she quickly took that fear away and gave me the confidence needed. Cant wait to try more classes!!
I really enjoyed giving it a try. I signed up for both the Beginner Aerial Silks and Beginner Pole Fitness classes. It was shame on me for scheduling them back to back. I say that as someone who is teetering too close to 200 lbs and is trying to find ways to keep my work outs interesting. Taking my weight into account, the pole class is definitely not for me. Maybe far, FAR in the future but not right now. I really enjoyed the silks class though. It was a little easier and I emphasize the word little. But despite its difficulty even for a beginner class I was still able to really enjoy myself. Ill probably weight till I reach about half my goal weight till I try it again but I do want to try it again soon. The instructors are very encouraging and positive which is great. The owner pops in on every class which I think is great because it gives you the chance to meet her if you so wish to. And I find it very admirable that the instructor in my silks class is pregnant and could still do what she does. Its inspiring. THATS ALL>
This is the BEST fitness facility I have EVER been to. The staff members were all personable, able to answer questions about each of the many classes, and helped me to feel immediately at ease. At no point did I feel pressured to sign up for additional classes or contracts. I was able to have a tour of the different classrooms to see how things worked! The options are so fresh and fun and I had the time of my life! The classes I took were not oversized and I got the perfect amount of attention and instruction. I also loved that the classes were diverse. We were all different shapes, sizes, races, and skill levels. Additionally my instructors were extremely skilled, experienced, inspiring, and attentive.I am VERY confident in the shop being run here. With all the fitness options and helpful highly personable and skilled instructors, I believe, without a doubt, this facility will help me achieve the fitness goals I’ve only dreamed of going after.
Lack of commitment to customers. the expectation was sad. if an instructor cant make it to their class their needs to be a back up. upon sadness of not being able to take my first aerial yoga class I requested a refund. this place has a lot of potential but they need to up their game before I come back for a second chance. If you want customers to be committed to coming to class by pre booking then your instructors need the same mindset.
I was being nickeled and dimed with fees a majority of the time on top of the expensive prices. I do not recommend.
Really need to be specific about their classes time policy. Open invite, couldnt have been more than 2 minutes late after 20 of driving and apparently I needed a reservation. Doesnt help that the company name isnt on the door and there are 2 other fitness studios in the same complex.
Two things about VFD. First, the classes are just amazing. I have been practicing silks and hoop for about a year and a half now, and I cant begin to describe what they have done to completely transform my body. If you put the work in, youll see results.Second, the community is really unparalleled. Everyone is so supportive. We just had out student showcase last night, and my husband remarked, The energy in the room was amazing. I cant believe how loving and supportive everyone was!!I would recommend Vertical Fitness to anyone. So much fun.
Excellent studios, even better community.
Vertical Fitness Dallas is wonderful! The instructors and students are very positive and Ive found myself looking forward to my weekly classes. Ive gained strength and confidence at VFD and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to better themselves. Try pole, silks, TRX, pole, etc, but you have to try it!
Decent variety but can be confusing with multiple locations so make sure to read the schedule. I hear that teachers seem to come and go and classes can be canceled last minute, which has happened a few times. Classes are also canceled for random holiday weekends which makes getting a monthly membership less appealing. Cancellation policy SUCKS so be prepared to shell out $25 every time you get held up at work or in traffic....Prices are not competitive and not much reason to go besides studio time. Other spots in Dallas have higher ceilings and more to teach (most pole/aerial classes just seem like the same curricula over and over again). Not a bad place if youre looking for an intro but for the people and workout Id rather go elsewhere.
So I love workout at VFD. They really push me to my limit and make me go that extra few inches so i can reach my goals. The staff are super friendly and i dont think i could find a better more supportive place to work out that here. Thank you all
Great place for a fun workout and great for private parties!
An amazing studio to learn pole, silks, aerial lyra, and partner acro! Those are only a few of the classes offered at VFD. Its a different and interesting way to work out, gain strength, and flexibility. Pretty much covers everything. They also offer classes like chick boxing, TRX, and BUTI fitness which is more cardio intensive. For working on flexibility, theres a stretch, contortion, and flexibility class and aerial yoga. The instructors are encouraging, helpful, and positive. Just like how theres a variety of classes, theres a variety of instructors so lots of fitness classes to choose from. Thats one of my favorite things about VFD is the variety so you dont get bored. Since Ive been coming, Ive gain upper strength, flexibility, and confidence. Its a fun and positive environment to be in. I highly recommend this studio/gym.
Best spot for pole classes!
