So i decided to go to this location as its my home gym for planet fitness.Very disappointed in this location as there is no one wearing mask especially with covid19 going on. I have been to other locations and u have to wear a mask inside the gyms no matter the workout. Also the workers are just at the front desk with no mask on themselves very upsetting to have this as my home gym. I did not feel safe and like it was up to standards as mask wearing and putring health and safety first. I am thinking of changing this as my home gym they dont care about health and safety here as this pandemic is going on as well. No hand sanitizer stations one bottle of cleaner where paper towels located. It clearly states need to wear mask on door in the picture and no one was wearing a mask

Dallas who works at the Dallas location off of Alpha Road was SO helpful and nice! She went over and beyond with her customer service when welcoming me to that location and especially when showing me their tanning area. Keep up the great work! 🤗🙌🏼

The staff helped walk me through everything. The amenities and equipment are great. The hydro massage and massage machines are outstanding.

The location is convenient but does not compare to other PF where they make you feel welcome. Managment is rude which I could care less, but I will leave my review as rightful customer that I am because they dont hesitate to take my money every month.

When the pandemic started I told them to cancel the membership. I have pre existing respiratory issues and have had car issues so I could not come I was assured that they would cancel the membership. 3 months later I was charged a renewal. I called again and said have the manager which never seems to be there to call me back. Never got a phone call then they try to charge me for a monthly membership fee. I put a stop payment I am blocked planet fitness for my checking account. Then they decided to put their name in differently and pull the money out anyway. They’re liars cheaters and do not trust this location with your account information. Because I have had $300 plus taken out of my account now that I feel is unit authorized.

I called the gym and Dallas (at the front desk) was overwhelming professional. She’s very knowledgeable, polite, and well spoke. I always appreciate great customer service as she was phenomenal!!!

Location 5 stars for me. Management & staff ZERO stars. There is one young man who runs around like crazy cleaning tanning beds & filling bottles of sanitizer while also being a personal trainer. Seemingly good kid & clearly a hard worker. Club manager just stands around & holds ZERO staff accountable for anything besides standing at the desk with her. When bringing this to her attention she clearly did not give a rip about what I had to say nor does she seem to give a rip about her only hard working employee. Makes me wonder how Planet Fitness chooses their managers. Broken system perhaps? ✌️

The lighting is good and its always clean and it deserves a 5 stars from me, as someone who goes 5 times a week and it just looks just good and so modern inside.

The staff is only allowed to stream Fox News- no other news network. Come on owner. 2020 was last year.Manager said corporate will not allow her to reduce the volume of the extremely loud music. The club had less than ten people working out. Everyone wearing headphones.Corporate... Please loosen your grip and allow managers to make decisions that better the club. Also be aware of the membership charges. I received a late fee when I joined online. It was later removed because it wasnt late. Then I was charged for two months. I think its all figured out.Otherwise, the staff is great, club is very clean, and the 24-hours hours is easy lured me in. I would have left five stars had someone said, let me see what I can do about the volume level . Seriously... Thats all it would take.Manager,Will you please put on another news channel than Fox? You have three tv’s playing Fox News. Can you even it up a bit and add another news network in addition to Fox? Thanks

Simple gym. The weights feel a bit light for the stated weight but for a 24 hr gym in this age. It’s not bad.

I really liked going here before the pandemic. After paying for an unused membership for a while, I decided to pause my membership. At first they let me do this over the phone. After two months, they made me come in person to take a longer break. When I came in, almost no one was wearing a mask properly including the employees, so I ended up cancelling my membership.

The staff will make your life as difficult as possible when it comes canceling your subscription. I have been a member of many many gyms, but this is just absurd. Plan on a bit of a back and forth when you leave.

Would have been fine if I wasn’t told I could “cancel anytime” over and over again when joining. When I joined the girl at the front desk didn’t outright explain to me that I had to cancel by the 25th to not get charged the annual fee. I wasn’t shown or given anything in writing except the terms and agreements that you sign on the pin pad. Sure, the tiny fine print is on the pin pad but if you want better reviews, get your front desk employees to actually explain That “canceling anytime” comes with fees and stipulations.

PF sent out a email stating that masks were mandated. All must wear masks while working out.Went in to the gym last week. There were maybe 10 members working out.Atleast half of the mebers had their masks off their mouths and noses.I asked the employee behind the desk about this.He stated that those doing cardio can remove their masks.I walked out.Shame on PF.

It frustrates me to no end how inconsistent the workout facilities are at planet fitness this is my 3rd or 4th transfer within the state of TX from San Antonio to Austin and 3 locations within the DFW area within the last 8 to 10 years and its always a gamble. Some locations have half basic gym equipment missing while others have a quarter of basic gym equipment missing and maybe one I have been to is an actual fully equipped gym. I guess thats why its 10 dollars a month. Get all your gym locations fully equipped just use the money from your free pizza 🍕 promos that are contradictory to anything gyms stand for or helping anyone going to the gym in the first place and invest it in fully stocking your equipment.

Love the gym, but I am not sure if masks are required or not. Went in yesterday and maybe 10% of members were not wearing masks, as well as about half the employees.

I wish this location did more to sanitize and improve efforts against COVID. I saw nearly half of the people on various occasions not wearing masks. I spoke to the employee and they kindly informed me that they are required to wear it coming in and out. As far them actually working out, they don’t enforce it. And then stated that the manager told them not to call anyone out for it. If you see someone without a mask, just leave them alone and stay clear of them.... I wear my mask to do my part and prevent the spread of infection, I wish they did their part too and help make me feel a little more safe. It’s up to you to sanitize everything so if no one does it, you could potentially start a chain of infection throughout the gym too. Not that I don’t of course, but I see people just get up and leave without cleaning the equipment they touched. Lack of system here is why they closed down everything in the first place. Wouldn’t be shocked if they were forced to close again.UPDATE: I emailed to the following comment that said to reach out, and basically they are doing nothing about it. Come in at your will, but this a COVID hot spot. Listed at a risk of 9/10 by Texas Medical Association for a reason.

So far Ive visited four Planet Fitness gyms in the DFW Metroplex. Before my visit I read many of the reviews online. Fortunately my visit went quite well. I wasnt interested in working out but wanted to try the Black Card Spa treatment. I was greeted upon entry by the csr who scanned me in, I proceeded straight to the locker rooms and upon entry felt as if was I had left Planet Fitness and entered a hotel/high school locker room. Gone were the typical purple and gold color motif. There were paper towel filled trash cans in every room. A couple of tiny electric fans bejng used to circulate air. Upon exit both the water fountains were temporarily out of order. The paper towel trash seemed to be from a shortage of staff. Too many people enter and leave the facility for the csr to be cleaning up while simultaneously working the front desk. But enough of the negative, that Planet Fitness Black Card is worth its weight in gold. That spa experience especially the hydro massage was off the chain. The ability to adjust zones, adjust the pressure, focus on one or more areas, made that a true spa experience. The shift lead Jeff is really knowledgeable about the hydro massage and everything PF. His ability to multitask is uncanny. Overall this is a cool small gym for a quick workout or massage while visiting north Dallas.Just wanted to give an update on this gym location. It seems that during the week the cleaning staff is on point, keeping the facilities and facility clean and functional but on the weekends when they have a staff of one, facility cleanliness is the first thing that slips. I was really wanting to change this to my home gym but I will continue to look for another one.

The staff tonight was completely lazy, unhelpful and very unprofessional. Usually, they have a good staff but this new crew is no good. I will definetly be canceling my membership at this location.

Masks are not being enforced. There were many people walking around, breathing heavily, with no facemasks on. The lady at the front desk was very kind and happy to cancel my membership instead of enforcing facemasks. I may renew if the pandemic gets under control, but places like this one are not helping in bringing the pandemic under control.

I used to frequent this gym 5 times a week prior to COVID-19 hitting. However after a few months and the citywide mandate to wear masks indoors at all times gave me a feeling of security. However when I finally decided to return I was shocked at the lack of enforcement of masks has left me disappointed with Planet Fitness’ commitment to it’s client’s safety. I probably wont be coming back until things change.

I purchased a member ship did not realize it was a 12 month commitment, so I cancelled. they had a month to month for 10 a month and i wanted the annual fee that I just paid applied. they where willing to do it and told me to bring my bank info and cc. i get there not knowing they need actual paperwork showing routing information. the manager said its okay as long as i bring it later. then she changed it as i was standing there after she found out i had two bank accounts. I refuse to give them access to both of my accounts that would be careless especially when you see everyones paperwork all over the counter. I have worked out as this gym for years and the new manager there is the worst manager i have ever seen. she does not know how to handle customer satisfaction. For $10 a month you dont need both of my bank account information silly rabbit.I have rejoined and it was a pleasant experience. I did not have the experience I had before with the other manager. Much better experience

Love planet fitness but this location could use a few updates. This location is smaller than my last PF in Plano which was very new. Staff was just there - I asked if where I parked was okay and I got a “oh yeah” response. Luckily my car was still there when I got back out. May give them another chance, but wasn’t super excited to work out there.

Great location. Only downside is the size of the gym, wish it was a little bigger like other locations as it can be crowded from 6-9pm Monday thru Friday. Hopefully they can upgrade the amenities like the lockers, water fountains, and massage area. But other than that, it is a great gym to get a great workout in.

Salesman lied & tried to make a quick buck. Try to charge me $20 for a day pass. I had been working out 30+ years in many location . They always have a guest day pass or 1 week @ Youfit. Another location told me about getting it on-line from their club website. I will join this other Planet fitness because they are not greedy.

Dirtiest location! Clumps of dust on treadmills, machines and in lockers. Other than that place is pretty decent.

New equipment is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Really not how bad people make planet fitness out to be. For a person on a budget whos just trying to be active, workout, get some help, and get in shape (not body build) its a great gym.Bathrooms and stalls need work though...

Overall it’s a nice gym. Generally enough equipment for everyone working out there, clean facilities, and a decent black card member area. A little on the small side but not bad overall.

Started here in January. There are not enough showers, so there are often people waiting in line, and Im an early bird (start working out at 5:45 am). Ive been telling them for almost 2 weeks that there is a clogged shower, and no one has done anything (it also flooded into the overflow drain this morning). Ive reported that a treadmill was off balance twice, and its still not fixed, either. Theres too many people for the size of the location -- it really needs some upgrades.

I was just looking for a reasonably priced gym membership and this is just the place to go. My membership allows for me to bring a guest with me while working out and then afterwards I enjoy a massage in the massage chairs. I usually go fairly late after work and the equipment is usually available for you when its that late. Its a no fuss gym get in get out to workout on stay healthy

Great staff! Katie Browning, facility manager helped me to choose a plan that works great with my constant travel. Very helpful with all of my concerns - she is personable, warm and professional. I took advantage of a personal training session, those machines can be intimidating but Troncais Banks helped me devise a plan to meet my goals and meet my schedule. Another very personable and professional staff member. I would highly recommend a membership at Planet Fitness in Addison Texas.

I was forced to give it a star to review. I have been going to this gym for almost 2 years. A new guy was working there tonight and I asked for the managers name so I could ask why they had notated my account. He said your not going to get me in FU***** trouble basically he was saying that if he gave me her name he would get in trouble. I told him not to cuss at me and he escalated and got worse. At one point he came out from behind the counter and put his hands on me and told me I needed to leave that he could refuse me service. I said get your hand off me, I am not leaving, you are the one physically threatening me and cussing at me. He used to F word 7 or 8 times and kept up with the attitude even after the manager showed up. Basically, the manager did not like me from an incident that happened there a while back and she sided with him even though he was still cussing at me and threatening me as I spoke with her about what happened. I was treated with absolutely ZERO respect. I was cussed at and that guy put his hands on me. He should not be touching me period. I ended up being told to leave because the manager than showed up does not like me from a previous incident. I am a nice and respectful person and I was simply asking for the managers name that notated my account so that I could figure out how to fix the problem in their computer. If a police officer had been there the guy that worked there would have been arrested for his verbal threats and putting his hands on me. The manager sided with him because she doesnt like me. I have NEVER been treated so badly in any business in my entire life and I have been going to that gym for close to two years. I strongly suggest to ANYONE that decides to work out there to watch out for some of the staff members because they have no respect for the customer and will gang up on you. I am a doctoral student, I work full time as well, and I have never in my life experienced such horrible treatment anywhere. The guy even told me to go sit at the table until the manager got there like I was a dog. Absolutely horrible. This actually happened and it is not biased or reworded to make myself look better this is how it happened. Thank you for reading, this experience has left me very upset.

5/12/19 @ 7:50 pm I arrived at my home location. The staff/MGR was helping another lady & asked me 4 different times did I want a lay down or stand up as he was in the middle of helping someone else. Which I thought was rude & unprofessional to the young woman he had in front of him & as well to myself. Then I explained I’d like to also purchase tanning lotion packet for the 4th time as well he got irritated with me. The other staff proceeds to check me out & notices I have a balance that was due & as I explained to the previous staff it’ll get resolved on my pay date this Friday today is Wednesday. Well Gustavo got very rude with me & demanded payment today. As he acted unprofessional & also made a huge scene after I asked him not to make a scene that I was calling corporate. So I proceeded to walk toward the hallway of the massage area to get to a quieter area. He followed me making a scene & told me that I can’t access the gym ( which I could care less about access but I wasn’t stepping outside just to call corporate) he stated he will call the police on me that wasn’t the 1st time he threatened the police on me. However he clearly doesn’t know anything about “judgment free zone” & he clearly doesn’t know how to deescalate the situation. He only fuel to the fire by treating me unfairly & making threats. He became even more irritated after I started recording him harassing me. I told him I had every right to contact corporate while inside the lobby of PF. I also grabbed a seat to wait on the police to come. He doesn’t represent PF & their motto! His ego has failed him & PF’s motto. I was not once disrespectful, loud or raised my voice at him. This treatment I’ve never ever experienced from any staff at PF in all the years of dealing with them in Waco, Frisco or this location in Dallas on Alpha. I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I just know I’m not going to the first or last to file a complaint on him for going to the extreme & being unprofessional with customers or other staff members. He called the police on a member of PF even on my video it states that I wasn’t leaving until I got on the phone with corporate. The most embarrassing thing I’ve ever encountered especially over $21 dues for May & his ego. I was due 5 days ago. A waste of taxpayers dollars to burden the police of being available for a real true crime!

This is a small PF, and it doesnt have some of the machines and equipment (like kettle bells, super bands, etc...) That others have. That being said, I still like going here because its never very crowded and the staff is really nice and helpful.

I’ve been coming here for about a year now. My only complaint is that the “cleaning” solutions around the gym don’t smell like anything so makes me question if it’s just water ?? That’s about it really . Avoid coming between 5:30-8pm rush hour !!!

Worst location ever. We drove 30 minutes out so that we can see how different locations are. Have always had nothing but good experiences until Gustavo denied me and my friend access because it wasn’t our “home gym”. Honestly the worst gym experience I’ve ever had. Customer service at its worst. I hope that doesn’t represent the culture of the company....oh yeah, we’re black card members.

Stopping someone from doing their exercise because of what they wear is unacceptable. You have no right to do that! Its their personal choice! I will NEVER take membership here after what I read about what we can or cant wear. You can always make a rule that if anyone wears any clothes that might cause injury, it wont be your responsibility, but you cannot deny them the right to exercise. Not done!!!

Truly disappointing. I loved the PF in San Antonio, this one never lived up to that. Cold showers, crappy equipment, and impossible to cancel without going in person and giving notice (even though they dont give you notice when they auto draft an annual fee you didnt know you had).

Good price, clean, and pretty friendly staff. Meka is the best. They could use more variety in their machines and some heavier weights. The circuit stations are almost never used and are pretty much a giant waste of space where they could have other things that theyre lacking.

Find membership elsewhere. Looked at my bank statement and noticed I had extra charges from planet fitness. Spoke with a guy named Tommy and told me to come in when the manager Gus was working. After driving 20 minutes and waiting 10 minutes to speak with Gus he had a nonchalant attitude and told me there was nothing that he could do and to call later and speak with another manager. I asked for the GMs number, Colby ...and contacted him. He did not answer or return my message. After several attempts I learned I was charged extra for tanning lotion which I don’t even use because I am African American and that one of the employees left my account open after checking me in and scanned the next guest items onto my account. I did eventually get refunded but I had to jump through hoops to get it done. I’ve now joined fitness connection where they don’t keep your card on file for errors like this and I haven’t had any problems.

I like this gym. Good vibe and there are always machines available even at busy times. The reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is because I have visited other PF locations in the DFW area as well as other cities. The other locations I have visited are bigger and their locker rooms are much nicer and they also have more available for the black memberships. Also, I hate that there is NO space for stretching, mat exercises, and no stretching equipment. People literally have to do exercises in and between equipment and it feels weird to do that. I understand this location is working with the space it has but I feel it could have been set up a little better to include some of that.

A cheap option especially for locals who live in that neighborhood. However, the gym lacks a lot. Theres basically no free weight and the little that exists is very limited and you cant control how much weight you wanna lift because they set it up for you already. Also, the staff is nice usually but they arent trainers like in other gyms, theyre just babysitters egister keepers...

If you are serious about fitness, bodybuilding or losing weight and seeing actual results, this is not the place for you. Planet Fitness is a complete joke in the fitness world to be honest, serving pizza and tootsie rolls to its already majority overweight clientele.Working out hard, being an attractive and muscular bodybuilder or fitness model, deadlifting, squats, lifting heavy and anything that shows power or seriousness is strongly discouraged here and will get you kicked out and membership revoked. There are signs everywhere telling you this.The place is usually very clean, staffed by regular everyday customer service people, not actual trainers or people into fitness. The price is cheap, and tanning is available. The equipment is usually immaculate, works well and is well maintained. Probably because its never really used by people that are actually serious about lifting or fitness. Restrooms and locker rooms are always clean.If youre over 45+ years old, completely new to fitness, or overweight, or just looking to tone up a bit, this may be just for you. Clientele is mainly housewives, older people, and fitness amateurs. Otherwise, for the price, check out YouFit or Fitness Connection. Or just step up your game to LA Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness.Because if youre actually serious and want results and an atmosphere full of motivation and surrounded by people who take their fitness seriously, Planet Fitness just isnt the place for you. And they are happy about that. Its literally written on the walls at this place.

If you call them for cancelling you account, they will yes i did then eventually i got lost of 58$ cancerllation charge and 42$ annual charge. I hope i will sue you in future. All this gym cares about is your membership fees, and they will go out of their way to get them from you. I canceled my membership here, and many months later I get a collection call from them, because my credit card had expired. I informed them that I quit a long time ago, but they insisted that their records didnt reflect this. They asked me if I kept the piece of paper that verified my membership cancellation. Once they knew I didnt have that, they quickly descended to being rude and demanding toward me.They claimed I owed them several months worth of fees. I told them that I never went to the gym since I quit, and that I thought paying fees 1) After canceling service and 2) To maintain facilities I clearly was not using, was ridiculous. I told them to update their records, and they said they refuse to cancel my membership until I paid for all the months when I never used the gym. I caved, unfortunately, because they were holding my credit against me.Be warned.

I always go to planet fitness since there are not many gyms that have my favorite machine (the arc trainer). There is not a lot of air flow in this place which can make it pretty hot when it gets busy. My last planet fitness had a huge fan that helped circulate the air but I havent seen fans in this place. The showers arent the best either. There isnt any place for your shampoo and they arent the cleanest but there is always hot water so theres that. The staff are always friendly which is probably one of the most important things hence the 4 stars. This is still my regular gym and dont plan on going anywhere else anytime soon.

Regarding North Dallas, TX location: The staff is very inexperienced and rude. I had a terrible experience with a employee (Eduardo) on 1/16/17 at 10:15am who refused to provide a service request of paying my account in advanced. He told me to be quite and listen. There was no supervisor or manager available. I highly recommend that you train your staff better and have some accountability. I waited for 30 minutes for a supervisor and no one showed. I have cancelled my membership.Also, the equipment is broken high the time. Bathrooms are dirty.I sent a message to your customer service on your company website, Facebook and Yelp. Yet, still no response from the management.

You can eat pizza on certain days, but me bringing a gallon of water on the gym floor is a problem? Although i brought one in last night and times before? And was not told anything against it. So heres a thought how about both day and night staff get on the same page and stop being such incompetent fools its damn water...will be removing myself and take up resident at a real gym where having water on the gym floor is welcomed and you dont eat pizza like idiots.

Nice equipment available, never had to wait for anything. The facility seems to be a older building, therefore a little remodeling of the bathroom and locker room would make this place perfect.

Go to another location. I have been to Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Denton and other DFW locations this is the worst. Entitled employees that do not provide customer service. Entitled, unfriendly, unknowledgeable. Aside from that of you can put up with bad employees you hardly deal with this is the smallest least supplied location. Severely lacking even most basic equipment. Plus it has the worst smell of any of the other locations. They dont even make an effort to clean considering theyre in one of DFWs nicest locations.

Over all Gym is good friendly staff ect, but the spray down bottles seem to just be filled with something lol very watered down and has no smell so Im not 100% sure how sanitizing it is ! Also the locker rooms shower and barrooms never smell clean they also look . Like just swept but I highly doubt they are moped cleaned and sanitized ! Other than that I love the location .PLEASE SANITIZE AND CLEAN !!!

I joined a little over a month ago now I got the PF Black did it one night online and went in the next morning. Helped me set everything up within 5 mins at the most. Everyone is nice I go so much I literally dont have to give my number anymore since they know me and it by heart now. I always see what I think to be the mgr working on the machines and maintain them and cleaning them all the time, hes stopped a few times and has said hi to me and etc. Anyways I get my moneys worth and I love the staff great and friendly people.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for a over a year and they tell me I need to come into the gym and cancel. They have taken out monthly charges and I have never been to the gym. Will be going there today to cancel in person.

This was a ok Gym until the Manager Laura RUINED my experience. I’ve only been 4 times and every time she gives me a hard time about a payment I MADE for my annual fee. She said it didn’t REFLECT in the system. This makes me feel as if this lady is really HARASSING me when I come in, only because I went the day before and no one said anything about a balance due. Which I have receipts for my payment I kindly show her and she proceeds to call anyways. Then she gets on the phone to contact customer service asking me for my date of birth and things only for them to tell her I’m good or that the payments arent reflecting right now. I HIGHLY DISAGREE with the way she handled the situation which I think she takes her job to far and is not personable at all like other staff at other gyms I’ve visited in the pass.

Im a super huge fan of the 7x7 classes. They make me sweat like a dishtowel, work my whole body like some sort of machine, and get me all pumped up on endorphins. Sweat, sweat, and lots of sweaty sweat.

The customer service at this branch is much better than what it was. Specifically, Troncais is always helpful, friendly, and very customer service oriented!

Great gym but it is very small, meaning the equipment is always being used.
