I always have people ask me where I get my haircut after my first few days of getting it cut. Parking can be hard to find sometimes. You can go online or call to schedule. I usually call in.

All the barbers amazing but have you heard of Jorge the barber? oh for real? you havent? what about Eric sensei? You gots to be lying! well let me tell you something about my experience with these legends.Jorge & Eric the barbers both look good, smell good and have laughs more beautiful than angel harps and heavens trumpet. One has a Mexican beard more tough than Paul Bunyan while the other has a head shaped better than planet earth (its out of this world)Now, how do they cut like? lets just say this if youre a guy youll pull more angels than the one and only, Yes sir! the..... Leonardo DiCap and if youre a woman, make sure everyone around you has health insurance because necks will be breaking and cars will be crashing.They have wizard fingers on their samurai barber hands. They are bruce lee with the clippers and 47 ronin with the razor blades. You dont go to them to get a cut, you go to them to paint a master piece on your head.

Always a great experience here. Great barbers who know their craft well. Decent laid back atmosphere thats still customer centric. This has been my go to spot for a couple years now.

Great service, staff, and vibe. I have been going to Dakota for over a year now and he is the best. Dakota does a great job every time, especially on my fade. He is skillful, friendly, attentive to my requests, and has even gone out of his way a few times to do my hair when he is not scheduled to work. Highly recommend Dakota and Bonafide - coming from someone who is particular about their hair and goes almost once a week.

Barber was more interested in messing around with other barbers, and using his water sprayer like a squirt gun on another barber, than listening to my preferences for my haircut. Mediocre haircut and overpriced

This place is AWESOME! Brought my buddy here to get a fresh clean shave on his wedding day....I couldnt ask for a better experience! Staff was extremely nice, got free booze while I waited and they got the whole wedding party looking great! If youre looking to do something for a bachelor party, look fresh for a wedding, or just need a genuine haircut/shave...this is the spot to go. I definitely will be coming back!!!!

Been going here for twelve months now and I’ve never been disappointed. I always book with Eric and he has consistently given me a perfect haircut every single time which is something I have never experienced. All barbers and customers wear masks the entire time too which is nice.

I come to this place every few months for a haircut or beard trim. I always ask for Jorge, but I imagine everyone here is top notch. I always leave happy with my haircut. The barber is fast and precise. I also enjoy the atmosphere, including the banter between the barbers. Some people might not like that, but for me it adds to the places vibe.

Ive had my hair cut here 3 times. Service is consistently excellent and I receive an excellent haircut. Prices may seem high compared to a great clips, but for those with thicker hair or for those looking for anything beyond a basic buzz cut, the price is worth it.

I go back and forth between Austin and Dallas a lot though I lived in Dallas for about 5 years in the Lowest Greenville area. When I lived here, this was my spot for hair cuts. The cuts are done by some of the best, theyve got drinks and magazines on site in case you want that, and the environment feels like a modern take on the traditional barbershop.Even though I dont live in Dallas anymore, when I am in Dallas, and have the time to get a haircut, this remains my go-to spot and one of the best places in Texas.

Stopped by hoping they could squeeze me in as a walk-in, I went at like 4:45pm so I honestly knew it was a long shot. But nope, they got me in no problem, and Lexi gave me one of the dopest haircuts I think I’ve ever had and he was cool as hell. Been to the shop once before, great experience, and now after this cut I can safely say I won’t go anywhere else. If you’re a dude lookin to get a badass haircut from chill laid back normal guys and gals, no need to look anywhere else just go here. Thanks Lexi for getting me in and killin it, and thanks to the girl behind the counter who I didn’t catch her name but was super sweet and cool and genuinely friendly. Y’all I’m just gonna stop typing and say if you need a haircut just go here, you won’t be disappointed.

Whenever I come here it feels like Im hanging out with the boys. The atmosphere is very easy-going. All the barbers are laughing & talking across the shop, and it helps set a comfortable mood. I used to go to The Boardroom barbershop but I havent gone back since I found this place. I asked for Eric after reading reviews of this place and he has never disappointed. I have long hair & am very concerned about accidental cuts or trims but Eric knows exactly what he is doing. I told him my concerns & hes worked with me every step of the way to get my hair to where it is today. These guys are professionals and it shows in every aspect of the visit.

Just moved to Dallas, and have been looking for a place to get my hair cut. Eric was THE BEST barber Ive ever experienced. My wife was hugely impressed with the cut, which says a lot, cant recommend him enough. Great environment, cant go wrong.

I went to a salon for years in Dallas. Cuts were fine but they were what they were. My wife turned me on to Bonafide Barber Shop and have been sold ever since, I wont go anywhere else even if my barber is unavailable, everyone is very good at their craft. Even my 4 year old boy likes it as he has graduated from kids haircut places. Good atmosphere, music, have a drink if that is your thing. As a guy, Im just more comfortable in Bonafides setting. Omar runs a great barber shop.

Bonafide is the best in the East Village. Ive been to Mark & Lev. Both give great cuts. Make sure you ask for a wash and a shave if you go. They play great music and have free drinks (including beers). Great vibe right on Tompkins Square Park.

If excellent service, excellent value, a dope vibe, a customized excellent cut, along with refreshing deep convo is important to you, then Bonafide Barber Shop is your only option, & while Im sure they are all good folks, if you have an appreciation for an artist in every sense of the word, then Brian is a sure shot.

Awesome barber shop!I happened to stumble in on their first day of business and have continued to support the bonafide crew ever since.When I first came I had my haircut by another barber who left just after a few months. Upon my next visit I had Eric as my barber and been happy with it ever since. He takes the time to get know you, but does a great job with the cut.It’s always a great feeling when you walk in and it’s like hanging out with a group of friends. Conversations are easy going in this place and Eric always knows my cut without me explaining.I would highly recommend it if you are in the area

For the last three years I haven’t had to think of any other option for a barber shop than Bonafide. I’ve been seeing the same barber since the beginning of his licensed career when we was graduating at a nearby Barber School.Set Lopez, a badass, quick working, artist. Never going to another!!

Barber was too busy talking and having fun to pay attention to my request. He proceeded to do exactly what I specified NOT to have done.They cut hair well, but they don’t take customers seriously.For $40 I would expect them to at least cover the basics like providing a hair cut that is to your specific request as opposed to just being cookie cutters and giving everyone the same thing.

I’ve come few times in the past 2 years but last time I went I wasn’t really pleased it was a good haircut just not what I expected. Appointment was for a beard shave with razor but only used clippers and it basically looked like the way I brought it so I most likely won’t be coming back to them but they are ok and get the job done. If you want a detailed job or haircut probably keep looking.

Great shop with cool decor and friendly staff. Called before stopping in while I was visiting Dallas for the week. Brian did an excellent job working with me as a new client and gave me arguably one of the best cuts I’ve ever had.

Parked here to go to another store before they were open (they don’t open until noon on Sundays) and a guy came out and told us to F off. I can safely say i will never recommend this shop if this is the way they treat people even closed.

Whent to Bonafide today for the first time. Was set up with Dakota for a fade and beard trim and shape. I will say it was the Best hair cut and beard trim I have ever had. I highly refer them..... Great place and great people.

Prices are like Russian roulette: they say one thing, but then say it’s at the barbers discretion. Expect to pay $30…or maybe $40 or $45. Not upfront, not good business.

My 12 year old boys were getting less excited about going to my girly salon for a haircut. We started going to Omar at the barbershop and they think its very cool. My husband takes 3 boys and they hang out while everyone gets a haircut. Its clean and fun.

A place for GUYS to be GUYS! I walked in the door and was offered a beer. I thought they must be kidding. So I asked them what they had. They listed off a few, I said sure give me one. Boom. Handed a bottle and Brody greeted me for the appointment I set up. He was awesome. One of the better cuts Ive had in years. Will be going back to the place for sure!

I see all the glowing reviews.....but....sorry.....mine is not going to be. The guy I ended up with, George, was very, very busy joking and laughing with the other barbers [as were they] wayyyy too much to focus on my cut. I was afraid I was gonna get whacked tbh. Listen, Ive had mens cuts all over the city, including many salons. First of all, this was a $35 cut, NOT CHEAP, and secondly, when you pay this much you expect to have basics covered: neck trimmed, hair cut well, and yes, eyebrows thinned. Mine was not covered well. This was my first...and last....trip to Bonafide.

I had an emergency situation where another barbershop had really messed up my beard and they didnt seem to care at all about my situation when I called to report their mistake. I called Bonafide and was surprised that they could get me in the next day and suggested to me someone who was good at beards. I was met with the smiling face of the man! George Perez! He listened to my concerns and fixed my issue kindly, professionally and did a great job repairing what another shop had messed up. I also received a free shave, hot towel and face massage as well as a glass of Jameson! Fantastic service and my confidence is restored. Definitely recommend Bonafide and I will be back!

I was going to The Gents Place. Moved to East Dallas and found Bonafide. Truly is a bonafide barber shop. As much as I enjoyed The Gents Place, Bonafide Ive found to be a much better experience. Environment is chill, barbers are friendly / professional, and the precision of the haircut The Gents Place could never match.

The place is super chill and laid back, and I always get a good cut from Britta.

Honestly haven’t even been to this place, but I read mostly all the entire reviews and looked at pictures. I believe if I lived closer and could afford this $45 hair/beard cut I’d most definitely be a regular and the service I see is exceeding customers expectations! I might have to make the drive once every other month it’s a bit of a drive for that price until I experience it myself I’ll never know it’s worth it!
