I stopped in looking for a couple of parts for my old truck. After looking at a list of possible donors, a part puller took me out to take a look. I didnt get his name, but he was very helpful and friendly. They did have one of the two parts I was looking for. What amazed me most, was they were willing to do a trade, as I had ordered a replacement from an online retailer and they were the wrong ones. I hadnt returned them for a refund, but Catalina was willing to trade for the part I needed. Thanks guys, service was quick and friendly.

This place is beyond awesome. Especially Doug. I bought a 91 MR2 in VA while I live in NC, and the car needed a window regulator from them and had it shipped to VA at where the car was. Went to pick up the car and tried to install the window regulator and realized the part was damaged and cannot be installed without heavy modifications, aka in weld. I actually tried some in weld putty but failed, so I emailed these guys about my issue, almost 4 months after I purchased the part. Doug responded to me and I explained to him with the issue and showed him pictures that I attempted to in weld but no luck. He understood that I had to buy another part to finish the repair and promptly refunded me the full amount for the item. These people are doing a great job with their service. Absolutely recommend them.

Nice guy behind the counter. Drove 65 miles for parts they showed in inventory but were unable to produce despite Richs best efforts. Nice guys. Fortunately Jeffs on 4th Ave came through in a pinch.

Pure, simple, fact.Upon entry they confirm part match, then they walk you into the yard [and this is where I had to let my 2-year old inner self refrain from thinking I would be able to play demolition derby as I pulled the part - along with 72 unrelated parts in doing so] where I physically confirmed the desired part. Whereupon they pulled the part [in 129 degree weather while I sipped my long island iced tea] and thanked me for my business.For the truth of events simply remove my sarcasm.A true pleasure doing BUSINESS with you Cat.Aut.Rec.

Very nice people. Ive gotten a couple parts from them and have had them do extensive work (including an engine swap). Everything works great! They do honor their warranties but (depending on the job) offer store credit instead of cash back. This is usually because if a part dies, even if they dont have it, they can get it and install it, so the job will be complete!

Ive used Catalina Auto several times for parts. They beat the online shops pricing most of the time and are my first stop for good parts these days. Glad to have such a great yard with friendly service in town!

Be CAREFUL !!! when buying electric item. I was sold and ELECTRIC AIR PUMP and said it was good $125. Had my mechanic test it before install. He tested it with a POWER PROBE One POSITIVE and One GROUND The pump did not come one. Return it 30 minute later and said No refund on electric Items I understand but it was only 30 min ago. Dont buy from them if you want to trade bad parts for credit.

Nice people but waay overpriced! Check eBay and save yourself a pile of money. I was quoted $50 plus tax on a used visor for a Nissan Altima. E bay has used visors for $15-18 and new visors for $32 both with free shipping. A little FYI for the educated decision makers.

Needed to get rid of a project car fast and was having trouble with other yards. They were quick and was able to get everything done in less than an hour.

Bought a transmission from them, installed it and made a 120 mile trip and had some shifting issues on the way back. Called them and said I had problems they said bring it back and Ill get my cash back as they didnt have another one. Drove all the way there and they offered me store credit.... What kind of crap is that? They are 90 miles from me, to waste my time and hard earned money like that?? Ever heard of customer service????

!! Do not ignore this !! If you are going to buy an electric part from this place you have to understand that if the part is not good YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK, NITHER STORE CREDIT it happened to me with an ABS MODULE, they never told me about their policy until I called them back to see if they will have another one since this one was faulty!!

On 5-18-2016 T approximately 4:30pm I walked in to Catalina Automotive Recyclers in Tucson AZ and spoke to a man by the name of Doug. I asked him for pricing on a Chevrolet engine with tranny. He said $2500 for the 5.3 and $3500 for the 6.0. I said oh ok I found one in Phoenix for $1900 and I wanted to do some shopping around before I made a purchase. I said that hoping hed want my business maybe match the price. Or even say sorry we cant do that. But he replied I deal with high end guys that build $80 k trucks money isnt an object for them. I know you watched Spike and decided you want to buy an engine for $500 dollars. I said yes youre right I am that guy I watched spike and I want that deal. Well I guess Ill just spend my pennies elsewhere :)

This was an Awesome first time experience they have everything i needed very knowledgeable and helped me out when i was short on $$$. Even if I have to wait n a part for some reason its not likely but you never know. I will never look any were else.

If I could give it a zero star I would he kept asking for the part number with an attitude I gave it to him he kept saying it wasnt it finally he put me on hold after 3 minutes he hangs up I called again he puts me on hold and hangs up again so called all the other junkyards around i gave them the same part number he kept saying was wrong they found it right away this is the second and last time I call or go to this place please dont waste your time

Workers are jackasses refused to tell me if they carried either two of transmissions I was look for because I told them I didn’t care if I got one or the other.
