If you are considering this place, read the 1 star reviews. It was nice when I moved in two years ago but went downhill 6-months in. Just walk the halls yourself. The place reeks of trash.1. Trash overflowing in the trash rooms is a weekly occurrence.2. The garage door is broken half of the time, so there is no security. Our car got broken into and the catalytic converter was removed and taken. Stuff was even stolen when I was moving out middle of the day. Management doesn’t care when things get stolen and will tell you they can’t check the cameras. I don’t think the cameras even work.3. Most people do not pick up after their dog. Beware of the grassy areas. It is a mine field!4. The halls smell of marijuana. It even comes into your apartment through shared ventilation.5. Maintenance takes at least 2 weeks to respond. Even when they do, they don’t communicate whether they’ve been or what was fixed.6. The apartments are cheaply built. Cabinets are falling apart. Our kitchen sink was never installed correctly.
They recently changed management and it has gotten worse. I cant contact the leasing office at any time in the day. They apparently discontinued valet trash without any notice, the parking gate never works so it is always open. Most of the doors do not lock.. The hallways are always disgusting. Please do not move here. We havent receive any information since new management has started.. besides how to set up in the new portal to pay rent smh
No accountability alone with poor communication starting off as you read the reviews you’ll read replies that suggest just that as stated prior every situation there will be an excuse. I’ll briefly tell you my experience currently my home has been without Air conditioning *texas heat alone with no electricity in the main restroom as well as the dryer not functioning properly. Alone with multiple hallway issues that have added putent smells that management has not addressed after calls to corporate and the property. Management is very aggressive, abrasive, not tolerable and baseless I strongly do not suggest living here. I’ll attach visual pictures just to help
Don’t live here. Under new management and they don’t even answer phones. Trash doesn’t get picked up, place is dirty, saw rats the other day and no one in the leasing office seemed to care… terrible experience.
Hands down, the worst customer service specifically from leasing agents, Joanna and Jasmine. Although the property manager, Amber takes the cake. Rude, incompetent, unable to communicate effectively and far from having any decent people and or business skills. Amber is condescending, ill-mannered and disrespectful. I can not imagine how she was chosen to lead a team of leasing agents with her unprofessional demeanor.Predatory towing, friends vehicles were towed and ticketed.Guest parking is near impossible and poses many risks especially with Virgin hotel, Rodeo Goat and Ferris Wheelers visitors. The grounds are repulsive and constantly trashed by its own residents. There were always old mattresses and furniture blocking the doorways to the trash chutes.Security for the building access was extremely faulty and unreliable. Doors were open where anyone could walk in and key fob access was inconsistent.I hate that I have to even give one star to leave a review. Im very fortunate that I no longer live on this property. And yes, for the record-all of this was addressed while I was a current resident.
First, I love the energy of Alta Strand. My 15-year old son and I both do. The vibe is incredible. I wanted natural light, outdoor spaces, certain apartment amenities since Im a business owner who primarily works from home, and they were able to patiently and effectively help me. After meticulously assessing four other Design District properties, we have a new home and couldnt be more thankful. If youre considering Alta Strand, look no further. Ill do a follow-up review after weve moved in, but so far the application, tour and professional experience with their staff has been incomparable.
This place does not even deserve one star. The apartment is very expensive, the do not maintain the grounds, the garage is always full of trash, the entrance door bell system does not work, the stairs to the apartment are always full of empty bottles and trash. The walkways in the apartment are narrow and never have I ever seen any cleaning done.I had my car towed out of the garage because it was missing the resident sticker. This cost me 300 dollars. I have been a resident here for 2 years and I would not recommend this place to anyone. The management should have a simple data base provided to the towing company to show which cars should pack in the garage and not. They refused to level with me on resolving the issue and I incurred an unnecessary expense.Stay away!!!
I recently got a tour by one of the leasing agents named Erica! She was amazing! She was very personable and professional. I enjoyed my tour and I’m considering moving here! It was a beautiful complex! :)
This is the worst apartment ever. I have no clue how this apartment has 4 star rating. The management will be quick to take their rent but will take ages, I mean months to resolve issues you have.
I work a lot and my schedule is pretty hectic so when I saw an apartment available I knew I had to see it right away. Javoni did not hesitate to offer me a virtual tour, even though I called him 15 minutes before the office was closing, and was super helpful/knowledgeable. It was a great and easy experience and I am so excited to move in!
Lived here for over a year. Unit was fantastic and the location was convenient to get to my job in Las Colinas. However, do not recommend this area in particular if you are looking for a quiet place to live. Also, in several instances I found the management to be unreliable and inaccessible.
Great spot and amazing staff! Erica Middleton has been so pleasant, helpful, and professional; I cannot say enough positive things about my experience because of her! Thank you for everything!!!
I recently moved here to Dallas from Houston and I must say that Javoni was so helpful to me in finding the perfect place. He is very professional and clear on everything they have to offer. I definitely will be moving here.
I do not usually leave reviews however after experiencing Joanna at Alta Strand it only felt right to share a review of how amazing she is.She is the reason why reviews are needed in the first place. The amount of knowledge she knew along with her professional approach is why you want to see her... you can ask for someone else but I just recommend you save yourself time go straight to Joanna! Trust me, She takes the cake!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Javoni was amazing. He went above and beyond during our tour and answered all my questions. I would recommend Javoni to assist with you anything you need. He was very professional and pleasant which made me feel right at home!
I had a tour with Javoni of the property and he was very professional and personable. He showed me all the great amenities of the apartments. The apartments were very nice and definitely what I was looking for.
Erica gave me the most through tour and provided me with the most professional experience. Love this property and the service Erica Middleton provided.
I will keep posting this until something is done. This is ridiculous. This apartment complex has some type of agreement with southwest towing. There is not enough parking in this apartment complex so you are forced to park on the street. Then the towing company lies and says where you parked was wrong and tow your vehicle. Even though there is no sign or anything of that lines. The towing company is SWAT (southwest towing company). We’ve had vehicles towed here multiple times unfortunately and each time we go to pick it up the lines are long and are always filled with people from this apartment t complex itself! That’s how many people they screw over. You will literally lose money living here because of you having to pay towing fees. You can park where you are told and where there is no “no parking signs” and they still tow you. I will continue to post on here and southwest towing company until they stop scamming people like this.Don’t live here! It’s not worth the stress!
DO NOT LIVE HERE. DO NOT EVEN APPLY.Literally the worst apartment complex Ive ever dealt with:I applied 06/15 for a 1B/1BR unit 4104 online and paid the app fee of $154.50. Javoni, who apparently doesnt work there anymore, actually contacted me and we did a live virtual tour of the unit beforehand. He said our application was APPROVED. We even got an email saying Welcome home!Fast forward to 06/20 or 06/21, they contacted me and said the unit had a flooding problem and that theyd need to move us to a smaller unit for a discounted price -> and then when its fixed, we can move to a different unit with the same original plan as unit 4104. Obviously we werent happy about it but we asked to see the unit virtually anyway and they said theyll set it up. AND THEN NO UPDATES WHATSOEVER. We then asked for a refund and Javoni said hell ask the manager Amber to process it. AGAIN, NO UPDATES WHATSOEVER.Fast forward to beginning of July, I contacted Javoni and he said that he resigned a while ago and then Alta Strand basically scammed us -According to him: The unit NEVER had a flooding problem and that the apartment just decided to give the unit to a different person who was wanting to move in on a earlier date than mine. He also mentioned that manager Amber was aware of this whole situation and to contact her to get the refund going.I then contacted Alta Strand AGAIN and the assistant manager - whose name I forget-picked up. I explained the whole situation and she said shed talk to Amber and get it processed. Its now August 5th and still NO REFUND. I contacted them literally 10 minutes ago at 12pm and a new agent name Laurie or Lori picked up saying that shell investigate and get back to me. How long is this investigation going to last? Another month? 3? 6? A year? Who knows. Im going to contact the corporate office(Wood Partner Services) and see what they say. I will update this review once someone gets back to me.Its ridiculous. These people clearly dont know what theyre doing; theyre incompetent and unprofessional. Theyre basically scammers.
Nice property, Good location and Great staff. I was given a private tour by Javoni and he couldnt have been more professional, will definitely send people his way.
Jiovanni was extremely helpful! Amazing customer service! This is definitely a place I would recommend!
I just moved into the B8 unit AND ITS BEAUTIFUL‼️ Thank you Joanna for being patient and working with me on the move in process! The apartments have great amenities and are very clean. If you’re thinking about moving in don’t think twice!
I toured Alta Strand and had great experience.Im not moving until late June but Im super interested.I toured both the model and a vacant unit and the upkeep in the vacant was great, thats what really stood out to me. Amenities were perfect, and he coffee bar was top tier.
Javoni showed me this beautiful property although I moved in to another property. He went out of his way to give me great customer service. Thanks Javoni !!Daniel
I love these apartments! The staff is awesome. Thank you guys!!
Amazing community! Erica is sweet and professional! Lease here ASAP!
Alta Strand is great! My wife and I love it here. The location is perfect for everyday travels. The parking is convenient and accommodating. The staff here is amazing! Again, this place is great!
Lived here for 2 years when it first opened. Since it was a brand new building when I moved in 2017, there were a lot of construction issues and maintenance problems including broken door knobs and major water leaks, one of which required a giant hole to be made in our wall for a while. Hallways were always dirty (except for the first floor right by the leasing office)! Many break-ins and car thefts in the garage. Building claimed it was quite common in Dallas and did nothing to help (but since moving to a new apartment complex less than 1 mile away, never had any break-ins here). Management and office staff changed a lot during my time there and I was often disappointed with their lack of support.
Alta Strand a great community and really appreciate the property manager, Joanna, Erica, Melina, and newly Javoni for giving me the opportunity to service many tenets with T.V Mount Services. Thanks!
I find it highly suspect that the majority of the reviews are a perfect 5 stars when filtered by recent. The ones that are not are either accused of lying, or completely ignored. In my experience this is usually indicative of either exchanging benefits for reviews, or just blatant manipulation via accomplices and associates. Since general rule of thumb is most people who leave reviews are usually unhappy, it makes me hesitant to trust it. The property looks nice enough from what I’ve seen, but definitely approach with a critical eye. If they are all legitimate perfect reviews, kudos for breaking the mold I suppose.
Recently moved to Alta Strand and love it so far! One of the best things about this apartment complex is the location and it’s surrounding places to eat and go enjoy yourself. This apartment complex is also very dog friendly. My dog bruno loves it and enjoys the trail that runs behind the complex for his walks everyday.
Love this place! If you are looking for an apartment in Dallas you need to check this place out and talk to Javoni he will really help you!
We toured the Alta Strand midday on a dewey Friday in May. We were two hours early for our appointment, but that was no issue as Javoni saw us right away. We saw eight different apartment complexes today and Javoni was by far the best tour guide. He had great conversation, an infectious laugh, and a clear dedication to his work. Overall, Javoni gave an exceptional tour and left us with a lasting impression.
I have enjoyed my time at Alta Strand so much! Very grateful for the leasing and maintenance team. Melina Joanna and Jasmine have been so helpful since day 1. I will definitely miss the community and neighborhood!
Been married for twenty years recently divorced and never would have thought I would have needed an apartment. I thought to myself that apartment hunting was going to be so hard until I met Amber she asked me what was important to me and made this process so easy. I love my new spot for my new beginning
Toured with Jasmine over the weekend. Shes great. I enjoyed my tour, the property was nice and clean, and the apartment was perfect. I hope to lease very soon.
Larie is the bomb she took care of my trash can issue!! Go see her for all your needs!
I had a quick tour at this brand new complex and I thought it was alright. The staff was very friendly but very pushy to sign a lease with them and kind of unprofessional. The place was still under a lot construction and thats what steered me away. But I bet when this place is done, it will look great!
The management in this apartment complex is grossly incompetent and unprofessional. Jasmine clearly has no life and is a miserable human. Additionally the manager amber is just the same and condones this. I wonder if wood partners would agree?I know you don’t see it. No thanks I don’t want to meet to be patronized and treated poorly by the staff. Thanks.
Was able to set up a virtual tour with Alta Strand and had the absolute best experience. The leasing agent that toured me was able to show the entire property as well as two different one bedrooms I was interested in. Would definitely recommend a virtual tour if you aren’t able to stop by!
My fiancé and I currently live here and have recently become victim to not one, but two break ins at our on-site storage unit within two weeks. Management was non-responsive and not helpful at all in this situation. On top of this, no communication was sent out to other residents notifying them of the recent crimes they should be aware of. The only time management responded was when corporate was looped in and notified. I completely understand the apartment is not liable for this, but the way they have reacted to this situation has been very disappointing. I would not recommend living here to anyone, please save yourself the worry! If I could put no stars, I would. As of today, still no email or phone call response back from corporate.
I just wanted to say how great my virtual tour was with the leasing team. I have been doing virtual tours for a week and was so impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness from the team. Absolutely loved the property, and the gray countertops such a sleek and modern finish! Can’t wait to stop by and be able to check them out in person!
Living at Alta Strand has been an overall positive experience. The community is well maintained and is asthetically pleasing and modern with its amenities and style. My guests always compliment me on the apartment itself and community amenities. The gym and Pool are all highlights for me as well as the conference room to meet with my clients. The location is perfect in the Design District. Overall the community is filled with business professionals that are fairly quiet. The maintenance is quick and responsive and the ladies that work in the office are great. Jasmine and Joanna are always upbeat, pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Melina and Amber are also very sweet and upfront about any questions I have had. Overall, I will be renewing my lease and look forward to living here for a few years.
Alta Strand is such a great community and I’ve enjoyed my time here. The leasing team is super cool, always responsive, and they love my dog.
Rude and unprofessional staff. They do everything they can to get your money with extra fees. Trying to charge me $75 for a parking permit, saying Im not considered a resident on the lease, even though THEY gave me a key, garage key, pool pass etc to the apartment, but Im not a resident? 🤨. When I retrieved those items from the office, they never told me I had to pay $75 for a parking permit just told me to give them my car information once I had it and they will provide me a parking permit. Now after living here for several months, theyre trying to say I have to pay $75 to get one.Maintenance is terrible here, weve had requests in for months now and NOTHING. Weve contacted them on several occasions, we have put in requests about it and still nothing! I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. They have unorganized and unprofessional customer service and completely lack the ability to communicate with their residents. The office will say they will take care of it or look into and call you back, but they never call, you will have to call them. They couldnt even give us a set monthly rent price for our apartment In the beginning, until a few days before our move in date, only then because we refused to sign the lease, until we got the necessary information needed. We should have backed out when this happened and found something else, but they kept assuring us it would be fixed and would call us but they would never call. We would have to call and email to get the same excuses over and over. Took them almost an entire month to give us a set price on the apartment, which is ridiculous to me.The hallways and stairwells reek of trash, due to the valet trash pick up. They always smell like trash, even when the garbage isnt sitting outside. We have had many issues with this complex only a few months in and we have lived in several different apartments in the past and never had such a bad experience like this. We love the location and the apartment itself, but we will not being continuing our lease simply due to how terrible communication is from the office, and they will find a way to take your money. Also they bribe residents to make good reviews, so be careful when reading the 5 star reviews. They will talk the talk, get you to Sign the lease and then not care about your needs after. We fell for it too.. I hate to be this person, but I wish someone had warned me before we made the decision to live here. So beware!
Alta Strand should rename their property to Marijuana strand. If you cant stand the smell of marijuana. Steer clear of this place. It began in the corridors.. and now it seems like we may be the only tenant in the building that doesnt have the skunky aroma of marijuana seeping into the corridor. The management sends out a letter about every month or so with an empty warning about smoking it in the dwelling units, but from the smell everyone laughs and throws it away. Whats worse.. is it comes up through the dryer vent and the smell gets on our clothing. Well contact management one more time before we get DPD and/or corporate involved; see if we can break our lease.. because were at the breaking point. Come to Alta Strand for a free high... just walk around the corridors.
I toured with Joanna the other day. Not only was she informative about pricing and availability, she maintained her professionalism by asking me what amenities were important to me. I look forward to moving into Alta Strand.
I recently accepted a position in DTX, and viewed this property online. I spoke with Jasmine regarding an apartment. Jasmine was extremely patient, and detailed. I received a few of quotes and cool videos from the property that interest me! I look forward to checking out Alta Strand. Thank you.
Security at the pools is terrible. Party’s go on past 4am on a Tuesday
I lived at this establishment for two years. The apartment had some horrendous issues for it to be a new unit (discussed in the second paragraph), and the management and head manager (Amber) just were very disappointing to work with. It just seemed unorganized and unprofessional. I had a rental car for a period of time, and before parking in the garage, I asked one of the staff members about the special tag I could use on the car to park in the garage. She gave me a tag with a reserved number on it and said I could park anywhere in the garage. Curious about the number, I asked if that was the only spot that I could parked (it was not on the floor I lived on), to which she stated no, I could park anywhere. Fast forward to a few days when Im headed to work. I could not find my car in the garage only to find out that it had been towed by the towing company used by the apartment. I was infuriated because I had to miss work, wait for the towing lot to open, and pay for the rental car to be released to me. When I was finally able to get the manager in the office, she was surprisingly extremely rude about the whole situation. She brought the staff member in who tried to initially fey ignorance about the situation, but later admitted that she did say that I could park anywhere and apologized. The manager said she would put the credit of the expense paid on towing in my account that same day. A week goes by, and when I question the manager about the credit, she extremely rudely waved me off and said the assistant manager will handle it. How unprofessional can a manager be? If you are trying to conduct yourself as the head of an establishment, I would expect you to be able to handle mishaps with some grace, but I guess I expected too much. The only positive was that assistant manager has always been excellent to work with and she resolved the issue literally within 5 minutes. The head manager needs to work on how she handle issues better. It would be one thing if it was just management, but the units themselves were poorly constructed. I preface this by saying I was the first person to ever live in the unit I had. The biggest issue with the unit was the faulty door handle on the balcony. Even if unlocked from the inside, it would not open from the outside in. I had a scary encounter where I was stuck on the balcony by myself with no phone and no way to get back in ( I lived on the third floor). I was stuck up there for over an hour trying to figure out what I should do. I was putting Christmas decorations up, and had to use some of the garland wiring to push the lock in. I checked the door at a later time when I had company over to make sure it wasn’t accidentally locked, but sure enough, it was open from the inside. That is completely unacceptable and dangerous. On top of that, a certain light switch in the kitchen would constantly short circuit and trip the breaker box (I tried to have them fix it constantly); the wood on the center island in the kitchen was warped and bowed out with pieces coming a part; the thermostat constantly had issues to where it wouldn’t work, and it would be over 85 degrees in the apartment during the hottest parts of the summer (again, maintenance had to constantly fix the issue). These apartments looked nice and new, but unfortunately were not great at all. Between the poor management and the poorly constructed units, Alta Strand really needs to get its act together, especially for the price.
I’ve been here for less than a year and have no complaints. The ladies in the office are always so helpful with anything I’ve ever needed. Maintenance is good, and the area is cool. Of course it’s still an apartment so I’ve had a few noise complaints and parking for visitors can get crowded. I enjoy my place.
After looking at apartments for literally two days and dealing with the worst customer service I walked into Strand really ready to give up on my search for apartments in the city. The ladies in this apartment office immediately made me feel like I would call this place home. Not only did Joanne give a fantastic tour showing me two apartments because I was indecisive but once back in the office the manager Amber came out to personally introduce herself to me and ask my thoughts on the place. I had a question about the layout because we couldn’t figure it out on the floor plan and Amber goes in the back and literally comes out with this huge blueprint of the layouts to show me actual blueprinted layouts. I met both police officers that live there and even FaceTimed my mom so she could see the place. In case you can’t tell by now I will be calling Alta Strand home. I can’t wait until January 3, 2021. If u could give this place 10 stars I would.
I have lived at Alta Strand for 7 months now and have loved it! The office staff is great and very responsive. I love that the property is fairly new and has some great outdoor spaces. The interior features of the apartments are wonderful. The community is very quiet and I dont ever hear my neighbors. That was a major plus ! I also love the parking garage, there is always available parking, plus quite a few visitor spots outside of the garage. I would highly recommend Alta Strand to anyone looking for an apartment.
Thank you for your help in trying to become a part of your community. Hopefully I will be able to leave more reviews as I go
Joanna and Yazmine in the leasing office made my move in so easy. Both of them made me feel cared for and listened to my concerns. Joanna guided me through the whole process, answered all of my many questions, and was one of the deciding factors between Alta Strand and another apartment complex.
We love Alta Strand and the huge closets now my fiancé has room for her things and mine.
I just moved in Friday. So far our experience has been absolutely wonderful! The Leasing Team and Maintenance Team are very friendly and helpful. Jasmine gave us our tour and did a phenomenal job, she is personable and provided answers to all our questions. She also communicated with us very clearly to make sure our move in process went smoothly. Joanna helped us on Friday by quickly getting us through the move in process of getting our keys and letting us know some basic things about living here. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. Our apartment is absolutely gorgeous, but the positive interactions with the office staff have really made us feel welcome.
The staff here has always been very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend anyone looking in Dallas to visit this property and ask for Joanna!
Alta Strand, such a great location for good food that’s walking distance and easy access to the highway!
Alta Strand is the best. I work evening and i come in the office almost every evening befire i head to the office. The office team remembers my name ( big deal for me ) and the staff is very pleasent .They take care of my needs and then some. The apartments are great, staff is awesome. Can beat that !
I ran across Alta Strand on Instagram after a friend showed me the drive by breakfast. Very cool btw. This past weekend I was able to tour Alta Strand with a friend and we had a great tour with Jasmine. While on tour she answered all our questions and constantly mentioned how great her leasing partner Joanna and management are.#itsthesupportforme. Both ladies in the office were very nice and welcoming. The community is great. My current lease isnt up until March 2021 so there was no avalible apartments listed online for my time frame. Funny part is i was just tagging along with a friend, but i think Ive found my new apartment complex.Thank Jasmine and Joanna
Worst management ever. Amber needs to be fired. If you want an apartment complex that will actually be invested in their residents best interest, look elsewhere. All they care about is collecting your money, and overcharging you. Things don’t get repaired for months around the complex, no matter how many complaints you file.
I moved during one of the hardest times this year, Covid-19. Jasmine made this move very smooth and easy. She was available to answer all my questions and I truly am glad that I moved to Alta Strand! I love my new community!
Currently relocating for a job in Downtown Dallas was sent over to the property from Smart City and would have to say one of the greatest tours I’ve had. The leasing agents we really welcoming from the very beginning. Although they were busy they were still very attentive and took their time in making sure they found something that fits my needs.
Terrible apartment! You’re car will be towed from your own parking garage. The apartment gets kick backs from towing company and use it as review stream.Don’t live here
Where to start....First note that they bribe residents with gifts to write reviews so you cant trust anything you read for an unbiased opinion. The units themselves look nice, however, are very cheaply built. Random cracks in walls and doorframes appear out of nowhere due to the settling of the building that has been built for 3 years now. If they were built with quality in the first place this shouldnt happen. Speaking of being cheaply built, the appliances are very cheap and low quality. Now on to one of the biggest problems, the community itself. While the hallway on the first floor near the leasing office is always pristine and has scent releasers in the hall, anywhere else in the building is the complete opposite. Dog waste is always in the halls and stairways and is not cleaned even after letting the office know (this happens daily). There is always trash and dirt in the halls and walkways which never seem to be cleaned.Several incidents are as follows:1. One morning I even woke up to the whole hallway covered in a yellowish powder with empty fire extinguishers at the end of the hall tipped over. Someone had sprayed them everywhere in the middle of the night.2. Another time there was a broken light in the stairwell with glass all over the floor for over three weeks after being reported. The light still to this day (5 months later) has not been replaced.3. There used to be a latte/coffee machine for the community to use at any time, however, after residents broke it, they removed it so there is only a machine in the leasing office now which can only be accessed during business hours.4. There is basically no guest parking. The spots for guests to park in outside the garage are always taken by residents. They actively prey on people to tow so be careful if you ever park here.5. They bribe residents with gifts to write reviews so dont trust anything you read for an unbiased opinion.6. And finally, supposedly secure doors are constantly broken and dont shut so anyone can walk in.Also you are forced to pay for valet trash service and are charged a $50 fee if you accidentally place the trash outside your door on the wrong day without any sort of warning beforehand (they often change the dates when pickup doesnt occur so you never know).
The staff at Alta Strand is absolutely amazing and helpful. Ive been living here since they opened in 2017, and I appreciate their willingness to help.
My experience at Alta Strand thus far has been exemplary. The value is incredible for the modern, spacious, and comfortable apartments that they offer. My one bedroom couldnt be a better size for 1-2 people; plenty of closet space, large bathroom, modern fixtures, etc. The amenities are everything you need and then some: two beautiful pools, well-equipped fitness center, large parking garage, pool table/lounge room. Would highly recommend living here.
I moved in on 7/26 and I can say without a doubt, 5-Stars is not enough for this property and staff. I worked with Joanna and she is absolutely amazing. The entire process was top notch. I had a couple of items for the maintenance department to address, I put in a ticket yesterday at 7:30 am and it was taken care of by the time I made it home. I am glad I made the decision to move to The Alta Strand and I hope anyone looking for a great apartment home contact the ladies at Alta Strand and of course you can use me as a reference.
I usually don’t leave reviews but management has been very helpful. This is the apartment complex I wanted to reside due to work and they helped me out making that happen. Besides a great staff, the location is perfect. Moving alone is so stressful but they made sure they could make it as easy for me as they could.
I moved all the way from GA-TX and everything has been amazing here. Melina has been nothing but helpful with this entire transition. Everyone at the front office is also very friendly and amazing! When I put in a service request the Maintenance Supervisor Jonathan took care of everything so quickly! I def recommend Alta Strand.
Thank you to the amazing team at Alta Strand for always going over and beyond when needed. Moving to Dallas from California I signed up for my apartment online without seeing it. My leasing agent was so helpful sending me pictures and videos of the apartment and answering all questions I had, even holding a package that was accidentally sent to the office before I moved in. I already knew I made the right decision but I really knew I made the right decision when I ran late on move in day and they waited late to allow me to still move in. 5 stars are seriously not enough to give Alta Strand.
Being one of the first residents of Alta Strand five stars isn’t enough to rate this place. What I love most is the amenities and the staff is amazing, most consistent staff I’ve seen ever in my years of apartment living. The manager and maintenance man have been there since I moved in. I do miss the weekly happy hours and would like to see those again but other than that I have no complaints.
I had an amazing experience living at Alta Strand. The community is great and the management staff is incredible. Ive never dealt with a more understanding, and hard working staff in my previous residences. They really go above and beyond being accommodating and helpful. Would 100% recommend!!
I love my home here at Alta Strand, the location is perfect for me working in Irving. I love the convenience of grocery stores as well. I submitted work orders for two minor things in my apartments, and Juan took care of both very quickly without disturbing me or my pup. Even brought my pup a treat !I recommend Alta Strand to anyone looking.
Just moved to Dallas, happy to have found this place. My apartment is beautiful and modern with much attention paid to the small details that make an apartment feel more like a home. I toured on a Monday and got a chance to meet the entire staff, and both the Property Director and Assistant Property .I knew this was the right choice for me. It is conveniently located to places that are important to me, and there are so many cute local restaurants and gems close by.
I’ve been a resident of Alta Strand since 2018, and I just renewed my lease. I went from a studio to a 1 bedroom and I love my new place. The staff is always willing to help me out when every I’ve needed them. Thanks Alta Strand-Johnathan
Worst apartments ever. This place cuts deals with shady towing company who unexpectedly and unknowingly comes in the middle of the night to randomly tow peoples cars and then extort them out of their hard earned money. Not only that, they caused damage to my vehicle and for what you ask? All for an expired temporary parking permit in which I spoke to management about that due to COVID-19 that my new car registration was going to take longer than usual and was given a 90-day temporary plate from the state I bought my new car. They said their policy is up to 14 days only but you cant make exceptions with your residents that have proof of said delays to make it last longer? Wow, way to treat the people that pay your salary and keep this place going. Totally heartless and uncompassionate people that run this place. I cant wait to move out and I advise everyone to not rent here ever!
My fiancé and I have lived at Alta Strands going on 7 months now and with this being our first apartment to live in, we have loved it. It definitely makes us feel like home, with the vibes and amenities they offer. They are always giving back to the residents by doing happy hours, resident appreciation, etc. The leasing agents have been nothing but amazing to us, they are always there if we have any questions and will help in anyway they can! I definitely recommend Alta Strand to be your new home!
The parking is awful. Dont blink or they will tow your vehicle.
Went to look at this apartment community today with my friend who is moving here from Georgia and I must stay I am ready for my lease to end so I can move there. The office staff was AMAZING, I mean made us feel like we were already apart of the community. The manager even invited us into their resident event where we were able to meet people that live there. This place is definitely worth the price.
Nice pool and surroundings.
I toured Alta Strand about a week ago with an Agent Jasmine, I got promoted with work and was unable to move in but the community is amazing. I had a really good tour and everyone was very nice. If/When I return to Dallas Alta Strand will be my future home.
Alta strand has been there since day one for me and my fiancé. If anything goes wrong or we need anything, Amber and the front desk were there every step of the way to make it right. The amenities are great, plus the happy hours are great. The location is great, and I can’t say enough about the front desk for always being so nice and helpful. I definitely recommend Alta strand as your new home!
Just moved into this complex a week ago and it has not been off to a great start. First of all, the “repairs” to what I reported at move in can barely be called that. A mark I had mentioned on the wall was not fixed. I moved in on a Saturday and it took until Tuesday to remove the massive wasps nest from my balcony. I am allergic to insect bites. The staircase to get into the complex from the garage reeks of animal urine. This all would have been OKAY had it not been for the fact my new car I had picked up that day was towed overnight the first night I got it. The response has been I should have read my lease, I did. I should have been proactive, at move in I noted that I was getting a new car and it was not made clear that in the absence of a permit it would be towed day of, I was told to give them the information when I got the car. I got the car after the office was closed and therefore could not get a permit so I parked it in the lot not wanting to risk parking it outside in stormy weather. The response was I should have parked outside to protect myself from getting towed. I specifically chose to live in a complex with covered parking, so it did not make sense to me to park outside in an unsafe area. None of this is something anyone reasonable would do. Being told to read my lease, which I did read, over and over is not only demeaning but it shows a complete lack of empathy. The towing location made me fear for my physical safety as I had to then go to an unsafe part of Dallas to pick it up.
Hands down best place I have ever lived at! Their happy hours are the best, the office managers and the maintenance guys come out and socialize with us. Of course as with all places issues come up but in my experience they quickly take care of the issues. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent place to live. Leasing and management do a great job.
The apartments are beautiful, the amenities are great and I must say that the office management team is awesome. I have lived here for about six months and every month I am more and more impressed. Yes there are occasional issues as with any property but Amber the property manager and Jordan the leasing agent are always readily available to help when those issues arise. Overall this is a great place to live!!!!
I have lived here for about 4 months and I really enjoy it. The staff is great and will go above and beyond to help. The apartments are fairly new and modern. I would recommend living here.
This is the worst place I have ever lived. The staff is the most rude and unprofessional I have had to deal with. They are extremely crooked, not only did they try to charge me for fake made up charges to try and get money out of me but they didn’t even notify me about it or give me a chance to pay it. 6 months after I moved out, thousands of dollars popped up on my credit from them without even a phone call or email letting me know I owed them money. When asked for pictures and invoices of the damages they played dumb saying that for some reason their email was not letting them attach the pictures and invoices. Still to this day they have not need able to supply either.... the manager is extremely rude and unprofessional, should not even be in customer service. Also the product is horrible, very cheap. There IS NO parking and they will straight up tell you that they don’t care there is no where for your guest to park. And they also pay and bribe their residents for good reviews. I used to work for this company and I was also trained by Wood Residential to bribe residents to leave food reviews on our website.
Nice community
I have been here for 5 months it has been a nice experience. The grounds are tended to daily. Request for maintenance are fulfilled within 24 hours. That to me is key. I do not call much but when I do. They are on top of it.
Absolutely have loved my living experience at Alta Strand. The ladies in the office including the maintenance guys were always so pleasant and attentive to my needs. I would definitely recommend Alta Strand to a anyone moving to Dallas!!!!
Moved into this place when they were new and they have failed standard maintenance with dirty halls and trash everywhere. The most disheartening part about living here is that they told us it was okay for guests to park outside the leasing office during off hours. Yet my guests got towed. In addition, when I talked to the leasing office about this, they told me a bunch of other rules and that I signed a paper. Yet, there were unable to generate this signed paper. If you want to be respected and work with a company that is transparent, look elsewhere.
Ive lived here for about two months now and couldnt be happier that I chose Alta Strand as my home. The amenities are great, the decor is beautiful, and Joanna has been so kind and helpful from the moment I toured the community. Plus you get the best of both worlds with the location - I can take a walk on the trail right outside my door or be in downtown in minutes.
Ive been living here almost a year (renewing here as well)...I can say this...every community is different. The best thing about this community in my opinion, is of course the price, the quality of the apartment, and the location. I havent had any major issues that havent been addressed nor have I have felt like I was unheard. I had one issue and the property manager came and spoke with me along with the maintenance manager. This let me know they do care.I cannot wait until COVID is over so we can go back to being the great community we always have been, TURNT UP! (within city ordinances of course LOL)But anywho - Come live here...your experience is what you make of it...Period!
I moved into Alta Strand last week into a 2 bedroom apartment. The location in the design district is great, because there are lots of restaurants and hotels nearby. Moving on was super easy because the parking garage goes up to whichever floor you live on. The parking, gym and pool amenities are also great! Patrick, the sales specialist, is the man! He really helped make the transition as smooth as possible and was super helpful with all concerns that we had.
I recently toured Alta Strand and absolutely loved the community and the staff. The tour throughout the community was more than expected. Loved that the community has two pools and a two story gym. Can’t wait to call this place my home !
