Mai does a great job! Especially for my first time!

1st time going there to get my nails done because my normal place was full. I walked in, waited 10 minutes and received a balance w/gel polish. The tech did an amazing job. Priced reasonable and the establishment was clean & beautiful. I will definitely be back.-Felicia

😳😡 Ive done a walk in at this establishment several times before with, No Problem . However, today is a totally different story. I walked in, signed in with a salon person giving a nod of her head. I was so disappointed after sitting there for over an hour to discover that, people were just walking in and being serviced ahead of me, later I was speaking with other customers and was informed by The Customers that they had APPOINTMENTS. ONLY wish I had been given this information upon arrival. Of course I soon left after allowing 10 more mins for someone to let me know how much longer Id have to wait. This is my last visit Not Professional at ALL I am so disappointed ☹️. Justed wanted my 👁️ eyebrows and lashes done.

I dont know who gave them licence to do facials. Worst facial you can get. I felt like walking out of this place while I was taking facial just for courtesy I thought not to do that. Dont waste your money on facial here. Worst experience a person can have. I can do better facial by myself at home. Totally waste of time and money

I love Touria, but I called 600 times and the phone ALWAYS RINGS BUSY! I dont have time to drive and only get there and they tell me shes not there!!! Put the phone on the hook and answer it like a NORMAL business. Thats just BS!

I had got my eyelashes done from here. They lasted 2 weeks and I was ready to removed them. They was super hard to come off tried with eyelashes oils and water. They wouldn’t still come off. they eventually came off taking off most of my eyelashes. I’m not sure what they use to removed them. But never again never again. My eye were in pain and very red over the course of trying to remove them

Im a late on posting my review..i had my hair cut from hip length to shoulder length with layers and thined out, all over colored then hilights..my hair was very long and thick so I was there for several hours. This was done in July of 2019. Lan was my stylist I was very please with the outcome and if i could find my before and after pics I will update to post. I was impressed with how she was able to keep working on my hair along with doing other customers in between..my hair has def grown out since its been 2 years I am hoping that she is still there if not I will be searching for her because I was very pleased and I def recommend anyone who needs hair, eyelashes, eyebrows done to reach out to her..😆🖒

My first time at the place, Microbading fell in a week and was told come back in week to fix it any time from 10-7 and I call and let them know I am coming next day driving 45 min to be the first, receptionist took my name and phone for Mia to call but no one called I drove 45 min and find Mia not here yet and receptionist (older lady) argued saying no she did not say to come !!!! They need some one understand langauge to answer phone and to be more professional with pplWill rate the service once I see results

I asked for specific hair color and I got a totally different hair color I wouldn’t recommend getting your hair dyed from this place.

Prices are great. Stylists are very good. Walk in wait time is usually very long. Wish they had more stylist. Made an appointment and had to wait 15 minutes. We left. Not acceptable for appointments.

I have been calling 3 weeks and the line stays busy. Poor customer service for a business. Just close down if you dont want to work or be bothered. But a busy signal for 3 weeks is NOT the way to handle business. Especially for your long term customers.

I got my nails done on this past Friday, and the acrylic started lifting the next day. I had my daughter’s graduation party that day and couldn’t get back there. I didn’t know they were open on Sunday and yesterday was Memorial Day. I called today to let them know what was going on and the man who is part owner said he couldn’t fix it because it’s an independent contract situation. If this is your shop is has nothing to do with that and everything to do with customer service and satisfaction of the customer. He seemed not to understand that. Told me to go back to the one who did my nails. If that tech didn’t do it right the first time why would I go back!? The tech was nice no complaints on that. She was very sweet, but this is why I don’t go to other nail places. Unfortunately my spot wasn’t open. He was rude and he hung up on me. I will not support this nail salon again due to his rudeness.

IM A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER. I CAME IN ABOUT 5 DAYS AGO TO GET A FULL SET OF LASHES AND MY EYEBROWS WAXED. I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED, ONE OF MY LASHES CAME OFF SO I CAME BACK YESTERDAY TO GET JUST THE ONE FIXED AND THE LADY THAT DID IT MADE IT LOOK WAY DIFFERENT THE OTHER ONE. SO I WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT I JUST WANTED MY LASHES TO MATCH. SHE GOT AN ATTITUDE GAVE ME 25 DOLLARS AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE AND NOT COME. I WAS CRYING AND EMBARRASSED SO I JUST LEFT.

They have the talent and skills for hair and nails but not for customer service! I hope they learn professionalism and how to treat every client the same.

My first time this week at Mais and I have to say...had a appointment. They took me right in. I got a really good vibe as soon as I walked in. Mai was awesome! Never had my lashes done before and she made me feel comfortable and I will be back !!

Anisa was quick and very patient. She had me in and out of there. She was nice and friendly and I look super nice for my Anniversary.

I always have a pleasant experience when I go there. The only service I have done are my individual lashes. Mindy and Tori are my only choices. I have not tried the others. I also recommend setting up an appointment or else you could be up there for hours waiting.

Do not go here for nails i paid 65 dollars for short nails with gel so just imagine how much you’ll pay if you want medium to long nails your gonna be paying almost 100 they are ripping ppl off on prices this was the only time i will ever get nails from a salon my nail tech charges me 70 for long nails with designs diamonds everything i should have just waited for him to come back in town never again

I called the shop and ask if they were busy he said we’re not too busy right now I get there less than 10 minutes later after waiting one hour and a half I still did not get a penny I just left I will never return

The worst experience I have ever had with any company. I was in there to get a haircut. I was the only one waiting, and I waited for 45 min to get a haircut cut. In that 45 min not a single employee, assured me that I would be next. I thought that they forgot about me. I could understand that they were under staffed, but they didnt even tell me it would be a long wait. I could have scheduled an appointment or visit the neighboring stores. I wasted 45 min in that store. 0/5.

Guys and gals, skip the wait time. They dont care even if you wait for 25 minutes or not, if you are walkin, dont bother this location. I dont recommend this place for walkin haircut.

It was the day of my baby shower and I was in a rush I left my wallet and came back 10 minutes later they refused to help me. My birth certificate and SS cards was in there! I felt the salon could have offered if not now but to later review footage. Customer service extends past just the nail salon services. I would not recommend them find a place that has integrity and empathy for customers.

Toria is the best, I have been going to her for a while. She will make sure your brows & lashes look amazing. I used to go to Mai but, she doesn’t get to the shop until late in the day.If you want your brows & lashes to look natural & not look like the McDonald’s arches or dustpans on eyelids then go to TORIA. If she’s not there or booked then go to PATRICIA she’s good too. Of course Mai is awesome on the lashes & brows but, being the owner her schedule is very busy & all over the place.

Been going to Mai’s for the past 6 years. Always get my eyebrows done, by Toria (she’s awesome) or Mai (she’s great too). I have full natural brows, and they always do them just right (Never to thin, arch always on point) lol! It’s best to always have an appointment especially if you know who you want to service you. Or if you go early on weekdays it’s not as busy as the weekends.Moved to the East side, and I still travel to Mai’s to get my brows done!

This place is horrible. Most of the girls cant do nails. The girl Jennifer cant do nails she cant put gel polish on nails. She had my gel polish all wavy. Then got a attitude when I told her I didnt want it wavy. This other black light skin girl I forgot her name that works there from Atlanta did my friends balance. She messed up her nails and said thats the best she could do because she didnt put her full set on. Her nails was all shaped different. The nails had lumps in them she cant do nails. It was so bad she walk out with out paying her. They will never get my money again. 😡

I have been coming here for months to get my nails done. I had to attend a funeral on the 5th of June and with my hectic schedule on the 4th I had to go to a previous place I had been going to since I moved. They found fungus on my nails and took pictures to prove it was there prior to them doing my nails. Fast forward I just spoke with Mai and showed her my picture and has to show bank transactions that I had been coming here and not jumping salons. Now I just asked her to just take care of my nails, she clams that even with the proof the fungus was on my nails prior to the other salon touching my nails that it was their fault. So sad

Came in today and got a full set and pedicure @1:45pm. The smaller Indian girl seemed pretty new, but she did a good job on my deluxe pedicure until she started painting my toes. She had paint on my cuticles and she didn’t even bother to clean up the polish until I said something. When it was time to get my full set there was two to three people being seen before me that were walk ins. It is now 2:30 and I asked the lady at the front to ring me out because I had to go. She convinced me to stay because she was so sweet, so I did. The lady did the full set finally sat me down at 3:30 and began my full set. She did a terrible job. She rushed, cut me will the drill bit, and did a sloppy job at painting. She slapped the clear coat over the polish so uneven it made my nails look very bulky and lumpy. I told her there was polish on my cuticles and she said just wash your hands and it will come off. Everyone here is very nice and respectful. I just wish they would take better care of there clients. A couple years ago this place was my favorite spot to go and I would brag about how everyone is so good. Now I’m very disappointed and it seems like they will just hire anyone off the street.

The beautician did a good job to dye my hair, but the reception lady changed the price agreed at the beginning with the beautician. The reception lady is rude and must learn some manners for customer service.

I showed up looking for my favorite nail tech (Kim) and she no longer works there. I let a different tech do my nails and I was not impressed. Moving forward, Ill be going elsewhere.

Went here yesterday dang near lost a toe. Because unskilled nail tech was not paying attention while doing my pedicure. Never in my 15 years of getting pedicures had someone use a foot file on my delicate pinky toe skin! The technician had the nerve to be rude and not even give me a discount even though I could have just walked out! My toe was bleeding so bad. I will never visit this place again !

Classy place with knowledgeable staff. I get my brows waxed there all the time. The price is reasonable only $8.50 and it is a full service salon.

I always go and let mai do my eyebrows and she always do AMAZING but on my birthday I decided to get pampered I went got my mani pedi I’m only allowed to get dipping powder because of my job they only allows so it was a big debate about who’s going to do my nails I got done with my pedi after a hour of being there I had to wait another hour to get my dip done because someone finally decided to do my dip I had to wait forever for my dip to dry and I NEVER had to wait for my dipping power to dry after being at the nail salon for 3+ hours I was finally free to go mind you dipping powder is suppose to last at least 3 weeks my dip started coming off after 10 days I’m not hard on my nails I sit at a desk and type I’ve had it plenty of times and it did fine so I call and tell them what’s going on they just laughing in my face and basically telling me I should have came back sooner how when my nails just started chipping and falling off I would NEVER allow them to do my mani pedi again I just wasted all that money for them to laugh in my face like me and my money is a joke I don’t appreciate it

Only gave 1 star because I couldnt give less. Came in at 3:30 to get a full set and lashes. Waited 2 hours only to be told by the 2 nail techs that they wouldnt do my nails because they were about to close at 5:00. Nail tech then back peddles and says shell do them but at that point I want nothing to do with them. Worse experience ever, Ill never come back. Awful service.

They do a Wonderful Job

As a walk in I expected a wait, but an hour and a half without any follow up was not a selling point for me. Yes, I had listed Mai as my requested person, but after 45 minutes s ok me one asking I still wanted to wait or at least let me know it would be a while later.... Then after being annoyed with the wait time I started to realize how horrible the waiting area is. For an establishment to be such a nice looking facility- staff PROFESSIONALLY dressed, eyebrows on point, ambiance nice, nice set up, looked like amble amount of options for whatever service you wanted...- the raggedy non cushioned chairs closely placed together with sun beaming in the window with the heat burning ne up doesnt fit. If Im going to wait I want to wait in a decent waiting area...it doesnt tht with the rest of the business. Other places have complimentary drinks, or television, something....at least more comfy chairs. The lady, Patricia, that did end up getting my favorite ever eyebrows together was amazing. At first I was hesitant due to a few reviews that mentioned they were not satisfied with her Services, but I was FRUSTRATED...glad I made the decision. She wasnt the mist talkative, but got right down to business. Her hands and breath smelled of smoke, so I immediately said to myself i wasnt leaving a tip. Ha- wrong. Her magnificent work erased the fact her hands smelled of smoke. Ive never been this satisfied with my eyebrows! Also, what business doesnt have a list of Services they provide and the costs?!! Promise, had it not been for Patricia, I would never return. At least have a list somewhere! Thanks

Staff still need to perfect their skills.Went in to have my eyebrows waxed and dyed and the young lady made one higher than the other and tried to blame me! As angry as I was, I politely advised her to stop and remove all the dye and just paid for the waxing and walked out. Smh

Been going faithfully for 5 years now, there can be a wait at times, but this is still my home for my nails, lashes and brow.

Today was my first time visiting Mais in a year due to moving out of town, prior to moving this was my go to salon. Man, has the quality of services here decreased significantly. I initially went in for a balance, Pedi and brows.. once the man finished my nails he walked me to the counter to cash me out... meaning what else I came in for was not getting done nor acknowledged. My nails look terrible, from the shape to their appearance and when I asked if the shape could be fixed he declined. All I was serviced for was a $43 gel balance. My returning impression was terrible and Ill be looking for a new home salon. Sad to see such a great place plunge in quality in such a small amount of time.

Went there to get my hair dyed. It took forever before getting called. The dye looked good but then the hairdresser started straightening my hair. Okay. Cool. Once she was almost finished this women(who i believe is the owner) came up with a smile on her face and told me that it will be $15 because she straightened my hair WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME IF I WANTED TO PAY EXTRA TO GET MY HAIR STRAIGHTENED!! Also their website say $30 and up for hair dye and it ended up being $65 JUST for the dye. The hairdresser also kept asking me if i wanted a haircut after i told her no 2 other times. They are definitely a scam, and i wouldnt recommend them. Shame on them.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...PLZ FIND ANOTHER LOCATION..very poor when it comes to customer service...i was seen by LYNN, the fat, obese, horizontally challenged girl, and when she sat me down to do my eyebrows, i specifically informed her that i want my eyebrows thick, just a clean up, but instead she was too busy yapping in her language to the girl next to her that she took off all my eyebrows, and to make matters worse, she had the nerve to tell me that she will fix my eyebrows after her other appointments. by far the WORST EXPERIENCE, i would never go to that disgusting place again, IF YOUR SMART...YOU WILL STAY AWAY .....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

My one star is specifically for the nails that TONY did for me. I even waited 2 weeks to write the review just to be fair. Id hoped to feel less offended by this experience. I have been going to Mais for years to get my eyebrows waxed and the occasional trim. Mai and Will are great for this. However, a couple of weeks ago I went for a balance. HORRIBLE! First off, I only did it because my sister had an appointment and Tony (THE OWNER) boasted about how good he was at nails. I had had my previous set of solar nails on for 3 weeks with no lifting, cracks, or chips outside of a break that was my fault. (Smashed my finger) He insisted on fixing it. So I let him. Tony was friendly and started off seemingly detailed. He quickly hit rock bottom on my scale when the finger he repaired was about an inch longer and much thicker than all of my other nails. He claimed that I needed to not pay that nail any attention...WHAT? Sooo, I tried to remain kind and asked if it might be a good idea to cut that one nail so that the thickness did not look so obvious. This is when it became a bit unprofessional. Tony all of a sudden acted as though he was not the nail specialist and asked me to make the suggestion as to what he should do. After consulting another tech, it was obvious that the nail needed to be cut. At the time I did not know he was the owner, but it was obvious that the other techs were intimidated to tell me the truth because they were giving me the eye. Anyhow, I left unsatisfied but figured it was an off day. Two days later I noticed 4 of my nails started to crack down on the nail bed area. I called to have it fixed and the receptionist picked up the phone and scheduled me to come back in. I knew she did not understand what I wanted though. Whatever...The real crap started when I went in. Tony said that what happened to my nails was not his fault. He said my last nail tech made my nails too thin and he was not responsible for the cracks even though he did the fill. When I asked for a second opinion he acted like there was no one else who knew like he did. The poor tech next to him was doing her own client nail but, stopped to assess my nails. All she said was sometimes it can be hard to work if you were not the original tech. DONT SWITCH NAIL TECHS. Again, she said this with the eye. When I turned around, someone was sitting in my seat. He had started someone elses nails and my nails had only been buffed with no clear coat or anything. He left me there and I asked if I could borrow the clear to at least polish my nails. Tony ignored me for sometime and the other tech finally chimed in and asked if she could do it for me. He waved her off and never said anything else to me. I did play him and tipped him for his service but will not ever go back. I paid twice just to cut my nails off a few days later because they kept breaking and some even started bleeding because of where the break was. Oh, and that was the first fill on that set of nails by the way. DONT DO IT! You are only as strong as your weakest link and TONY the OWNER sure made that plain.

Their customer service is terrible. I made an appointment for an eyebrow wax and my tech did not show up and they let me sit there for 30 minutes before speaking with me. NOW in spite of that, I still go because Shanon is that good. I just call before I go. And she is the ONLY tech I will go to. Like the other review said you can ask for thick (talking or not) and you will walk out thin and have to grow bushy to fix it. The price is good too. Pay in cash and its $8.50.

Im being generous with the one star. I had an appointment and they couldnt get me in after I waited 30mins, and they didnt bother to apologize. This isnt the first time they did this. Also, they have rust on their nail tools. The girl next to me was complaining about that. Customer service doesnt exist here! Mgmt doesnt seem to care about the customer satisfaction. Customers have no voice!

I started going to this nail salon about 11 months ago when I came to Ohio from Florida to finish my law degree. I tipped anywhere from $20-$40 and the service went down and it became apparent that Mai clearly does not care if she looses customers. The price is never the same and I do not wear fake nails, I normally have Shai do my eyelashes, feet and nails, but when she is not around I always feel like I have wasted money. I traveled from downtown to give them my business and now I will be looking for another salon until I leave Ohio. Word of advice..Find another nail salon.

Very bad experience today as the Nail Tech “Manager” TONY was very rude. I wanted to leave the place but unfortunately he had already glued the nails and I had somewhere to go to.

Horrible. I got there at 6:14 pm and waited one hour to not even be serviced. I was only getting my eyebrows done. The worst part of it was the group of girls a Head of me. After one was done the friend would jump in the chair and say can you do mine disregarding that there was a list of people that were waiting to get their eyebrows done. I thought that was very unprofessional, unfair and was a waste of my time. They will never give my business again.

Came across this hidden gem when searching for a nail shop last minute new years Eve!!! I had a young girl named Jennifer and she is now my new go to nail tech. She was nice enough to take me in even though they were clearly busy and ready to leave but she did not show one bit of additude or frustration as many nail techs I have come across do. I am extremely picky with my nails and I got a fullset gelpolish annd nailart on two fingers and it was beautiful! She managed to get me out in a timely manner and was one if the sweetest girls Ive ever met! I definitely had a great experience and will be booking my next appointment in two weeks. Oh and they usually go by appointments but take walk inside as well

Mais is not what it use to be, they have a bunch of inexperienced girls working there and all they care about is your money not you your money take your business else where. This place is a joke and so is the little lady in the front erasing appts out the book!
