Desmond at Kim Roes office is awesome!! He took the time to look into my claim and help me understand what was going on. He checked up on me and made sure everything was going smoothly since I was extremely upset with the whole situation. A shout-out to the GREAT crew at Kim Roe State Farm. Walked me through the settlement process of my first chargeable accident in my near 30 years with State Farm.Recently moved to Columbus from the West coast and signed on with Kyle at Kims Office for Auto and Renters insurance. The staff at State Farm got my claim started, my car off the road that afternoon, had a rental car ready for pickup nearby. The adjuster came out and discussed my options with the condition of my Scion. They came to a fair evaluation with all vehicle aspects taken into account. The settlement check was ready for pickup a week after my loss and I fortunately found a sound Scion to drive the next day with the proceeds.A challenging time made easier thanks to the efforts of State Farm on my behalf. Ive been a customer for years. Years ago, when I was looking to cut back on my monthly bills I compared rates for different auto insurance companies. I was surprised to find that State Farms prices were competitive. I even refinanced my auto loan and got a low APR, plus they kicked in gap insurance. Customer service is courteous, and unlike other insurance companies Ive had, I dont receive a lot of unwanted cold calls or junk mail.

I truly wish I could give zero stars. I was a brief (less than one month) customer of this insurance office. During that time, I was given bad information multiple times and was told I had a suspension on my driving record which was going to cause the rate they quoted me to go up, which would be understandable. However, my license has never been suspended. When attempting to call the office there were multiple times the phone lines were down.When I did get through Kyle was exceptionally unempathetic to the fact that they had misinformation about my driving record and at one point implied he thought I was lying about my record. All I can say about him is that he is rude and insulting. So I visited the office and provided them with my drivers abstract to which Kim explained there was an acronym she did not understand and that must be what was causing the confusion. She told me to go to the BMV and get a form saying I never had a suspension to clear up the mistake. She also suggested I request my full driving history and explained how she wished she could help but it was something only I could request. Funny thing is though, when I read the fine print on the form I needed to submit to request my driving history it specifically stated that my insurance agent could complete and submit the form on my behalf. When your insurance agent doesnt read fine print, it really makes you question their competency. Also please understand, I called the BMV office numerous times while dealing with this office. During those calls I was assured there is and never was a suspension on my license. One BMV employee told me my driving record was great and they should be happy to insure me as I was low-risk, another asked if the office was new as any insurance agent should have known and recognized the acronym (FRA =financial responsibility agreement) that Kim did not and explained it had nothing to do with a suspension, still yet the third BMV agent I spoke with told me the form Kim told me to get did not exist as it would have been the drivers abstract that I had already provided them and which they had rejected. The third BMV agent also shared that there was no point in my wasting money to get my full driving history as the drivers abstract I had already paid for went back as far as insurance companies go when they look at driving history. The amount of headache and stress this office caused me was ridiculous. I promptly left and went to Progressive. Who I have found to be beyond amazing and please do not believe Kim when she tells you that you never speak to the same agent at big agencies like that, that was the line she gave me. But I recently had to make a claim and the agent I worked with at Progressive gave me his direct line so I could reach him immediately at any time. Every interaction I had with his office was polite and professional. But to the point, I would never work with Kims office again and I actively warn people to avoid it. After my brief encounter with them I can only imagine how awful they would be to work with if you ever actually needed to make a claim.
