The do such great jobs on nails. They take their time and make sure detail is perfect. They just need to keep up with the times on new designs. But even if they promote new ideas they will work with you to make sure you are satisfied. Loyal customer

I came here for the first time with my mom and had an amazing experience. The prices are fair and better than other salons in the area with might I even say better quality service. I was impressed with my nails after my manicure and they treated us amazingly! Definitely coming again!!

I don’t recommend this place at all. They overcharged me for a basic simple gel French tip for nails and toes. There’s no way on earth this simple mess cost $175!!!!! Make that make sense. It took them five times to finally get the French tip how I wanted because she kept messing up. I don’t plan on ever returning here ever again. Also, we’re in a pandemic and they have us sitting soooo close to each other let alone people not wearing masks inside. This place should be shut down.

Polite service, clean environment.Overall the work was not very detail oriented. Went with a dip powder and they left caked powder underneath the nail beds. When I pointed it out they indicated they can’t really clean those areas out (they did try with two nail beds). It was very uncomfortable, so I used tools at home to clear them. They also left color on the edges of the skin along the nail bed (not easy to see in the picture since it’s orange). Filing was also not consistent nail to nail, and I was not asked what file shape I preferred.The color was not at all as described in the sample. This is not uncommon but in past experience the salonist notices this and checks in to confirm I still like the color. This did not happen here.

My first time here I walked in to them cleaning up, was greeted warmly & offered a beverage. This Nails &Spa is very clean & inviting Diana did an amazing job & did exactly as I asked. My pedi was done with attention to detail & she took her time! Will def be back.tks Mrs.Diana

Wasnt satisfied at all. My first and last time coming here for service. Gel polish chipped the same day and my nails were not completely covered with acrylic. I also thought the design on my nails were ugly and more for a kid. I cant seem to find one good nail salon. The only two pleasant things about this place is they offer you beverages and the wait is not long at all.

I went in today to get a fill-in and nails done. I found a picture on the Gervais street nails website of what I wanted. Showed the girl when I sat down what I wanted and thought that was what I was getting or at least close! Sadly no that is not what I got and I on my lunch and did not have time to stay longer! Have added pictures to show what I wanted verses what I got! The 1st pic is what I wanted and the 2nd is what I got! Ugh 😩 will not be coming back.

I came here once and was very satisfied but today I went in and asked for my nails to be squared and I didnt get squared nails I asked them to fix it and they said I cant cause I never mentioned it but in fact I did as soon as she started

Update February 2021. 1 Star. My pedicure looks like a child cut and polished. I asked for a yellow color and the lady put on a white coat (not clear base) first. My toenails are uneven. There is polish on my feet. I paid extra for a deluxe treatment but she barely touched me. I paid for a soak off - she clipped my nails completely down, picked the gel nails off with a scraper, and stabbed my right thumb. I am LIVID and we wont be returning.November 2020: 4 Srars. The lady for my pedicure was very thorough and did an excellent job. The man who did my gel set, not so much. He kept jerking my hands around, he filed and buffed my nails rather harsh and uneven, and he left residue all over my fingertips after claiming to be done. I would return but not be serviced by him. Overall, the shop was very clean and the employees were friendly.

All I got was a regular manicure. The end result was a very mediocre paint job. The woman doing my nails was clearly rushing to get me out of there as soon as possible and she nicked me on my cuticle simply bc she was trying to cut them so fast. There’s nail polish around my cuticles and some of my nails on the sides aren’t even painted all the way. I could’ve done the same if not better at home. I’m sure there are some good technicians here but my experience was not great unfortunately.

I had the best experience! The salon made my birthday weekend celebration a really amazing. I would highly suggest booking or scheduling an appointment in advance because they can get really busy. Very clean and sanitized. . Overall the team and the experience was exceptional and I would highly recommend. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely be back for future services.

They advertise something that dont even have. Which was the only reason I came here. Then the nails I did get were lumpy and polish was not even.

First time there and it was shocking. Hope the lady that left in an ambulance from low sugar is ok. Kayla my nail tech was great. I will definitely go back. The way the staff reacted showed a Lot. Clean nice warm environment.

Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and they didnt laugh too hard at my jacked up feet. The foot massage gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Do not recommend this place at all. Not clean. The woman doing my manicure cut my finger which is fine that’s happened before, but then she proceeded to paint over the blood with a white nail polish that she never cleaned the brush for others to use. In addition to those hygienic concerns, she painted over my bleeding nail after I asked her not to. Also, she used antibiotic ointment on my finger while it was bleeding. She got blood on her finger and used that same finger to get more antibiotic ointment. I had to bathe my finger in hydrogen peroxide and remove the polish. I would have them fix my nail now, but I’m too nervous they are too dirty I’ll get an infection.They are not clean, and I was not treated professionally. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon.

I have found my forever nail studio home. I tried many nail places once I relocated to Columbia but this is by far the best. They do good quality nails and they allow me to be creative with my styles. The staff is very courteous and friendly.

This is my favorite pedicure place in Columbia! The ladies are SO sweet and always do an amazing job. The polish lasts a while too!

The service was extremely rushed and my nails were not smooth at all. The nails beds also looked pretty awful and I asked the girl several times to make my nails shorter and she didn’t.

Came across this place on Google Map and decided on a whim to try them. I called for an appointment and they got me in within an hour! Technician helped me and was so gentle and patient with me. Pricing is great and I was done within an hour. The salon is super clean and following all Covid cleaning protocol. Will definitely be coming back here from now on, try this place out you wont regret it.

I didn’t have a great first experience. It first went downhill as I was getting my acrylics taken off, my nail technician wasn’t being careful enough and clipped off a lot of my real nails underneath. My middle finger on my left hand is completely missing the top half of my real nail. Then after she added a new tip and shaped my nails another customer came in so she asked me to go in the bathroom and wash my hands and wait because she had to do another customers eyebrows. Being the non confrontational person that I am I just said “okay”. Another thing that upset me was how long it took for her to file, shape, and buff my nails. She spent probably over an hour on that alone. She started on my nails around 1:30, I didn’t leave until 3:55. I’ve gotten my nails done multiple times at other places and it’s never taken more than 45-50 minutes. And lastly, she was very messy and forgetful. I used gel polish and she kept forgetting to put my nails underneath the UV light which led to nail polish getting smudged and she had to redo the nail design over again. After leaving she didn’t even add cuticle oil and I have dried acetone and gel polish all around my nails I had to wash my hands in hot water and scrub multiple times to get it all off. All In all I wasn’t satisfied with my service and I won’t be going back.

I went in for a gel pedi, which was $50. I think that’s a tad expensive however my experience was wonderful. The nail tech, Diane, was very kind and conversational. Other staff were kind and welcoming, as well. Everyone greeted me when I arrived and said goodbye when I left. I definitely recommend this nail salon.

My first time here. Everyone was very friendly and offered water or tea. The owner introduced herself and asked for my name. They even offered advice on what colors are good for my skin tone. I will be returning.

I asked for dip powder with extensions. David did a fantastic job! All of the staff was friendly and professional. Their services are reasonably priced, too. The other clients around me were getting great work done and had smiles on their faces. I am quite picky but I will definitely go back again.

Went into the nail salon at 3:05pm for a pedicure, sat until almost 3:45pm and no one came to do my pedicure. Unacceptable! Feet just sitting in the water. Smh . Would NOT recommend. Giving 0 stars!

This place is terrible. Painful and and very sloppy. They use the same tools on everyone. Didn’t get new tools after the client left. They cost more than most too. Customer service is terrible. I tried booking with a certain person, Kathy. They said yes and set me up the appointment but when we got there Kathy couldn’t do it because you have to set up with her directly. Which they didn’t mention. we spoke to three people about designs and they all three said yes and then it didn’t happen, they said they couldn’t do it.Trying to figure out how to post a picture.

They do AMAZING work!!! Great shop that is clean, welcoming, and good prices. I had a wonderful time getting a full set and pedicure. I will definitely be returning in a few weeks for my fill! If you are looking for a manicure or pedicure I highly recommend you visit Gervais Nails and Spa!!

Definitely not pleased with my experience. Color was not what I asked for and they were out of at least 4 colors that I asked for before that. He was not gentle but also did not scrub my feet much at all. No one and I mean no one talked to us. Honestly, a 3 is being kind.

Bad polish.

Picked this salon based off the reviews and was disappointed. We had an appointment but still had to wait 45 minutes to get our pedicures. I asked for the regular one and she added on services I didnt ask for then charged me for them. It was the fasted pedicure I ever got once they got to us it didnt take them but 15 minutes to complete. Would not recommend.

This was my first time at Gervais Nails. And an amazing manicure and pedicure with technician. Im an artist who works with my hands and need a lot of extra cuticle care, as well as help with some problem nails. She is super knowledgeable and took care of everything as well as gave me some great advice. She is really friendly and funny, and I look forward to coming back for more nail care!!!

Oh my goodness. I went to this salon on a whim. I called and they got me right in greeted me with hand sanitizer and a temp check which I appreciate. I haven’t had my nails done in 6 months and had been using press ons. Ben was very kind and nice. My mother is in the hospital and he was very caring about that and said she hoped she got better before I left. He painted my nails perfectly with my full set of gel with tips and gel polish. He even capped the ends.He didn’t drill a lot which I appreciate ALOT! he was very patient with me with picking a color and they look amazing. I live in irmo but am considering making this trip passing by all of the other nail salons on the way. I really appreciate the professionalism and service you guys offer. I’m impressed.

Visiting from out of town and decided to get my nails done, upon walking in the atmosphere was very pleasant. I was able to get right into the chair to get my nails filled. I also had the pleasure of having Tina to do my nails... she offered me something to drink being that it was extremely hot outside...she made sure that I was comfortable and she did my nails to my preference. There was large amount of color choices to choose from... I would recommend this place to anybody and if Im ever in town again I will be returning.

I love the attention I received. I had a number 2 pedicure and a manicure. I am so relaxed and techniciantook great care of me!!! I was there with 2 of my friends. Thank you for being so professional and accommodating. It was our first time out since COVID broke out. I love my nails!

Technician was extremely neat and skilled with the cuticle clippers. I upgraded my gel mani and got a scrub and massage and I couldnt be happier with the service and results.My boyfriend got an upgraded pedicure and he was so relaxed and happy with the results as well. Ill spare you the photo of his feet lol.

I was disappointed. Not practicing Covid-19 precautions. The workers make sure they are safe with a plexiglass shield, however, they do not clean seats or stations after each client..Lastly, the nail tech raised her voice at my mother, when she asked her to make sure that she polished her nails starting at the cuticle.... Not impressed.

Only place I trust with my nails. I work full time as a barista and my hands show it. Those ladies go to work! I feel my best the shift following my manicure, especially when my nail color get complimented. I love coming here midday because theres never a wait. Ive regularly scheduled appointments through Google and have had zero issues with that service.

Im so happy I found this hidden gem! Ive been here three times for acrylics and dipping powder. The prices are very reasonable especially considering the location. Technician does an amazing job and Im so happy I found her! Do yourself a favor and ignore the negative reviews. The work speaks for itself.

The lady who did my nails did a good job, however was a little aggressive. She many times showed she was aggravated by my request. I got a full set and the payment was $60, which is okay but the service wasn’t great.

My nail tech was a nice person, but I am so unhappy with my experience. She was on the phone the entire time, and didn’t ask me what nail shape I preferred or anything and just kinda rushed the whole process and it’s really obvious just by looking at them. My nails are all different lengths and shapes and the polish just looks lumpy. Really disappointed.

I have been going to Gervais Nail and Spa for over a year now, and I have had great service before. Today, I went in to get a dip manicure over tips. Two nail techs had to examine my nails to understand what I was asking for. When my nail tech, Ken, started he seemed very confused on how to do dip powder. He was applying many very thick layers, all the while getting things stuck in the wet dip. After being there an hour and a half, the dip still hadnt dried. He then began taking it all off without consulting me, claiming the powder was no good and thats why it wouldnt dry. After being there so long, I didnt have time to stay for another manicure, I asked if he could just remove the rest and clean up my natural nails. This is what my nails looked like leaving. I was very unhappy, and no one tried to apologize or help the situation. Ive been a loyal customer, but im never going back.

Visited on a whim b/c I needed my nails done and it was near by. Never again! Spent way too much on a gel mani pedi (suggested as the best by the tech) only to have my nails and toes begin to peel in less than a week. I was on vacation so I wasnt doing anything to make them peel. Further more, arent you supposed to have to soak the gel off?? I have had regular polish manis last longer and my regular polish pedis definitely last longer. $$$ wasted!

Stopped in here one afternoon last week. There was only one other person in the salon. The salon looked nice on first glance. It is very large. Most of the other staff were sitting in the pedicure chairs on their cell phones. Only one person greeted me. The guy who did my manicure was more interested in playing on his phone that was in a drawer in front of him than doing my nails. I got an SNS dip manicure. One of the nails cracked two days later and has already chipped. Four of the other nails are peeling up at the bottom from where it was put over my cuticle. I only get a manicures at twice a year and was expecting it to last, but this one is awful. Would not recommend.

Great nail salon. I got a gel pedicure for a pretty decent price. It included paraffin, sugar scrub, and extra long massage. From what I saw the place was clean! I would definitely come again.

This is a very good nail salon. They are taking safety measures to make sure that all clients are healthy and have clean hands prior to receiving services. Sandy was my nail technician and she did an amazing job (IG:Waxingsandy) . You can tell that she puts her heart into her work and makes sure that you are satisfied and happy with the end result . I received dipping and a pedicure and the salon had quality products and a wide range of colors. I love the final result! Sandy is amazing I’m so happy I found her. I will be back. Great service and quality people all around .

No reason to go any where else! I just love this salon and Nicky and Diana are two of the best people you will ever meet. They are very skilled at what they do. Clean salon and friendly atmosphere. They make you feel more like a friend than a customer.

I just moved to this area and I’m so happy I found Gervais nails. One of the things I love about the salon is they have diversity in the nail technicians that work there. That is not the case in most of the other salons I visited.Nicky did my pedicure today and did a fantastic job. She’s also very nice! I love this nail salon!!! I would defiantly recommend it to anyone that is near the area! I was instantly greeted and offered a drink as I walked into the door. The receptionist was very kind to me in choosing my colors. My nail tech, Steven, did an excellent job fulfilling my nail dreams! He was able to replicate the photo that showed him to how I liked it. Steven made sure I was okay with everything that he was doing to my nails. The customer service is great and the quality of nail service is great!! 10/10 would recommend! I LOVE MY NAILS!!

Stopped in for a basic manicure and left very disappointed! I asked for an oval shape and the girl cut and filed them into squares, and got annoyed when I asked her to change them. I had to have her refile a lot of them because they were all different lengths and shapes. She also did not do a good job cleaning up the sides of my nails at all. While I was in there I also noticed that they reuse the tinfoil that they let other peoples nails soak in, which is gross.

Great atmosphere! Immediately approached by staff when I came in. They offer complimentary mimosas, wine, soda, and water during your service. I highly recommend requesting Steven for your service. He pays great attention to detail and makes sure your nails look exactly the way you want them! Definitely will be returning :)

I really like this nail salon! I actually stumbled upon it by accident and I am glad I did!! I feel that since there are nail shops at every corner something has to make a shop stand out! This place has a great selection of color and brands. Technician did my nails and she was awesome. Very nice and you can tell she has great experience.

I must have asked for the wrong thing because I asked for dip nails and they didn’t do what I normally get. I think they gave me dip gel. The color is uneven across the whole nail and the tips are almost see through. It is not close to what I was expecting so I’m gonna have to pay to go get them fixed. Sad because I really like the people here and I have had good experiences every other time. Like I said I’m not sure if I asked for the wrong thing or if it was not done right. Either way it was not what I expected.

Went here for the first time ever because of a referral from a friend. I got the gel dip on my nails and they look amazing!! Im in love with them. Theyre super affordable, well done, and they even give you a nice massage after.

Love getting my nails done here. The salon is always so clean and managed well. Theyre also pretty much always open 7 days a week. They have complimentary beverages while you get pampered like mimosas, wine, and sodas.Steven does my nails and I would definitely highly recommend making appointments with him. Hes always very detailed about his work.When the salon is busy there is a bit of a wait but they make up for it with the nails you leave with. I would always call ahead to see if its busy if youre a walk in and cant afford to wait but otherwise this is my favorite nail salon by far in Columbia. I cant imagine myself going elsewhere.THEY HAVE GLOW IN THE DARK SNS DIP LIKE WHAT. They have chrome, cat eye, mood changing gel as well.

I got a new full acrylic set with gel polish & nail shape ($45).I wish I couldve taken a picture after my service was done, but I forgot to since I immediately RAN out after paying and went directly to a new salon to get my nails FIXED. They were so incredibly bad and I asked the male technician to fix them multiple times. He was very very nice though and asked if I liked them multiple times. Each time I said the shape needs to be fixed.He put way too much of the acrylic powder stuff on my nails so they turned out super thick at the base of my nail and were not even at all. My nails were super lumpy and none of them were the same length either.He was rushing the entire time, not paying attention to any detail whatsoever.ALSO his hands were really gross and DIRTY. He had dirt underneath all of his nails and dirt in the cracks of his fingers. Nail technicians should have clean hands!!!It was my first time here and Ill never be back. Going to the new salon that fixed my nails from now on after this mess.

Went for the first time today and loved it! As soon as I walked in I noticed how pretty the decor and all is. Doesn’t look like any other nail salon I have been to. The guy who did my pedicure was awesome and was very meticulous and made sure everything was perfect. I think the price is also good for what you get! I have been to other places and paid about the same or more and didn’t receive all the extras and as good of a massage as here! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back when i visit Columbia.

Out of the numerous nail salons I have visited in Columbia, this was by far my worst experience. The older guy that got me as his customer made some uncomfortable jokes about my ethnicity, and when I didn’t reciprocate by laughing, handed me off to another technician, who IMO had just started doing nails. I had requested a full acrylic set. She was dripping the material all over the place, and didn’t know how to work with the brush. It was painful to watch. When I raised my concern, the owner came and fixed my nails. Every technician looked as though they were being forced to work in a prison. No one was smiling. They just talked amongst themselves. Just a very unpleasant experience. Why go here when there are hundred others with friendly/skilled staff?

I just recently did have a bad experience, and as soon as I showed the owner, she assured me my nails would be redone, free of charge. The owner Nicky is My Fave “Pedicurist”, and all the technicians Are knowledgeable and super friendly and go out of their way to make sure ALL customers are happy. They offer tons of services, And they do a phenomenal job with all of them...Everything is clean and tidy And sanitized and the Salon is very warm and inviting. I will Go NOWHERE ELSE! ❤️

Love Gervais Nails! I go to technician for the dipping powder color and she is awesome. I always leave this salon happy because it is clean, staff is friendly, and they really take their time and show excellence in their work.

First pedicure away from home. Nice atmosphere and considerate staff! The massage chair is modern, clean and very effective! Speaking of clean, while you always want it that way, it doesnt always happen. Gervais Nails is very clean, which is what an out-of-town visitor is concerned with.
