Northpoint handles maintenance on my home system. The entire staff is very professional and easy to deal with. They provide a great service. I recently had them install a split system for a small building in our backyard. Smitty and Kyle were the installers and did an excellent job. They were on time, explained everything that they were going to do. Couldnt have been nicer to deal with. Im very pleased with the system installed. I highly recommend them!

Absolutely fantastic service! I sent a request in through their website and had a response within 24 hrs. Needed my 51 year old unit replaced. Brent came out to my place and actually listened. We decided on the perfect HVAC system for my place. The next day Brent and his crew showed up early in the morning and started going to work. Their attention to detail was outstanding. They put down tarps to protect my floors and were very kind and respectful throughout the whole experience. I wish I could remember the crew members names, they know who they are, great job guys! They are the most fabulous and most professional business we have ever used. Our downstairs a/c unit went out after 18 years. Within minutes of calling for help, they were here! They immediately installed a new unit that feels like I m at the North Pole! Three young men, Dustin, Andrew and Derrick worked so hard all day to perfectly install it. No mess was made or left. They were the nicest, most polite young men. North Point hired 3 very knowledgeable and well trained technicians. Great service and prompt. AC went out on a Wednesday, called and had a technician on Thursday, changed out the whole AC unit on Friday. When my baby was 2 months old (May 2020), my AC went out. I was worried about the heat, as well as risk of exposure during the pandemic. During the process of gathering requirements, inspection and recommendation, the representative wore shoe covers and a mask. He provided his expert opinion on what unit we would need for our home based on our needs, previous unit and size.Their pricing was standard to the industry, but service was amazing. Installation started early the next morning. When they arrived, they confirmed we had a baby and took extra precautions to make sure we felt safe. They ran into an issue with the size of the unit and getting it onto my attic. They escalated the issue to Mr. Zokan, he provided a solution and they proceeded with a successful installation. They never verbalized any challenges to us.We opted for that fancy thick media filter and I recommend it. Our children’s air purifiers require filter changes much less frequently! We also opted for the maintenance plan.Since installation, I have recommended Northpoint to my parents who had a similar experience. They have used them for their home and business. Again, although pricing may be along with industry standards, the service will spoil you. Professional, reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy.

The follow up visit today was great. The tech was competent and very professional, Jason in the office is great quick response to identified issue. The tech even vaccumed up the area where he worked. Now thats customer service.

We contacted this company to come take a look at the ductwork and ensure all was well. We have a black film covering the vents and wanted to know if something in the ductwork could be the cause. The technician told us it could be our skin cells because we are BLACK people with dark skin and we shed cells. Besides being GROSSLY offensive, it just made no sense. Awful.

Ive used Northpoint Heating & Air for a few years now. What Ive always appreciated about their services, other than being very diligent, is that Ive not been upsold on getting an old unit (18 years old) replaced.However, after having initial consultation in 2018 about getting duct work replaced and a new unit (AC and heat pump), the system was really starting to give this year before we even started a heatwave.Brent Zokan had all the notes from the previous consultation and was ready to help right away. Just for good measure, I did get another quote, even though Northpoint had been my service provider, just for good measure. They had no idea that I did that, but their rates were competitive and I wasnt going to leave them based on rates based on how good of service theyve provided.I bit the bullet and had my entire system replaced. They crew they sent out were all friendly, and they had it done in a timely manner. The ease to also get rebates completed, no mess left behind and more makes them a no brainer for your full replacement to HVAC service needs. I highly recommend them!

We recently had Northpoint quote and install a new HVAC system for us.Jason was professional and informative during the quoting process, and readily answered all of our questions. The prices were stated plainly up front, and there were no hidden charges or surprises on the bill. He made the process painless, and has continued to be responsive to inquiries post-install.The installer, Pat, was professional and friendly, and did great work. He was very knowledgeable about the products and explained the differences between our old system and the new one clearly, and was easily able to go over how to use the new system properly. Call to get a quote on installing a thermostat had a technician come out and he couldn’t install the thermostat we purchased called the office to speak to Eric and was told that we should’ve been charged more because the technician said that the part was faulty but the technician didn’t know how to install the part. Thermostat wasn’t installed and was charged 135.00 for no work done

He presented the options that were best for us, and as senior citizens we appreciated his friendly and professional demeanor. Im so happy with the work done by Northpoint Heating & Air. I recently purchased a townhome and Northpoint did all of the work to update my system. They replaced all of my ductwork, added a new intake and an additional thermostat upstairs. The work needed to be done quickly as part of the purchase. They were able to start the following week and completed everything on time. The employees were professional and my home was left clean. They also filled out all of the paperwork for my rebate from Dominion Energy and supplied a stamped envelope. I couldnt have asked for more.

My family experienced a water leak from our upstairs bathroom into our downstairs kitchen ceiling. Part of the ceiling fell off and the HVAC duct was saturated. The duct insulation needed replacing. The technicians from Northpoint Heating & Air (Michael & Quan) arrived on time. They provided excellent service, were extremely professional and courteous. They were knowledgeable and were able to improvise to complete the work in a timely manner. They were able to successfully complete the job despite working in a tight space. They completed the job sooner than expected and presented me with a very reasonable bill. This is my first time working with this company, but this job exceeded my expectations! We recently had out upstairs unit go out during a cold weather spell. Brent and his team were amazing. They were prompt, courteous and professional. The technicians were tremendous and everyone provided the kind of personal attention that is rarely seen in todays world. They got our needs taken care of very quickly and were thorough in all that they did. I highly recommend them to anyone who has any HVAC needs.

Dzenan and Bennie were all about professionalism and quality. They showed up on time and finished when they promised. The was no signs of them being here the clean up was outstanding taking all debris and trash with them. The unit is up and running so efficiently-thanks to the install team and Alan the product director for making a difficult situation and turning it around to state of the art high efficient program.

Technicians did what they are supposed to do. They are courteous and nice.The problem is, I have been told on the telephone that this could be fixed for $85.00 and I agreed. When the technician handed me the bill of $134.00, I was kind of shocked. Of course, I paid as the technician has no fault; They are doing what they are told. He told me that the $85.00 is Diagnosis. Paying $85.00 for Diagnosis of the fact that the grille needs a screw?I was even thinking of switching from another company to them for maintenance agreement due to courteous techs AND the fact that another company has actually caused this problem due to an installation issue. But this $134.00 bill resulted in Thank you, but no, thank you.EDIT: The service manager called me back and said that the charge would be adjusted to reflect $85 HOWEVER... They either do not know basic arithmetic or totally unaware of how a refund transaction is performed. First, instead of refunding, they FURTHER charged me. Then, finally they were able to make a refund but the WRONG AMOUNT. My total charges are NOW $132.00 and still not $85.00.EDIT: This issue has finally been resolved. Obviously there was no malicious intent, but it was frustrating to start with.

We have had nothing but amazing experiences with NorthPoint! They are quick to respond and come out if there is a problem. Everyone is so nice, helpful, & knowledgeable. We had a repairman come out yesterday to help us figure out what was wrong with our upstairs unit. He explained what he found thoroughly and lined up their sales man to come out an hour later to give us quotes. Brent showed up with a printout of our options and has been great to work with. They did not have an agenda they were pushing, offered several brands and tiers of units, and answered all of our questions. We had our upstairs unit replaced today. Pat & Al showed up on time, were so nice, explained everything, and were so professional. They are hard workers and got their work done in such a timely manner. The replace my old system when we remolded our house. They completely redesigned the whole system. System works great.I’ve dealt with many heating and air companies, and have had a lot of problem in the past. These guy were great to work with, Which is a breath of fresh air considering how elaborate our system is now.The techs have always been amazing to deal with, and very knowledgeable.

Not only do I now have a unit that can keep up with the summer temps; I also am saving $80 a month on my power bill. Ive been a customer of NorthPoint for several years and have been happy with their service. Their staff are punctual, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and skilled at what they do.Pat and Al came out and installed a media filter in my home and as always provided great service and completed the job in no time.

$100 service call, $175 to search for the leak, found leak but didnt fix it, then added 5 pounds of freon at $65 pound. total bill $600 dollars and my a/c went out the next day. WOW!!!

Patrick was very friendly and knowledgeable. He came out to the house within the given timeframe and refilled our AC unit. I recommend north point heating and air they are good about coming out quickly if you need them in a pinch!

I have used Northpoint for several years to maintain my current HVAC unit. They have allways been clean, prompt and professional. I used them to install insulation in my attic and it has paid for itself many times over with reduced power bills.I talked with them today about an upgrade to my system and was presented with several options in an easy-to-understand manner and without pressure to make a decision. I cannot imagine anyone loves paying to have their HVAC dealt with or replaced, but I feel confident I am getting quality service, advice, and value when dealing with Northpoint HVAC.

The guys spent all day removing my 26 year old system and replacing it with a new, modern American Standard system. They were efficient and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

We needed to have the gas line to the heater pack on our furnace replaced. Northpoint was able to schedule the appointment quickly. Technicians Patrick H. and Quan were great! Very professional and explained what they were going to do. They were patient with our curious cat who tried to get in their truck! The price was reasonable (we have a maintenance contract with them which gave us a great repair price). Just one little complaint: They were about 30 minutes late getting to our house and did not call to let us know (said they had a vehicle problem).

Excellent job of re-doing the original ductwork for the room over the garage and adding 2nd thermostat. Room is actually conformable now! Great folks to work with.

The technician came to my home. Was earlier than expected which was awesome because I thought I would have to wait. He was very knowledgeable, professional, patient and explained to me what was going on. I would definitely recommend this company.

Pricing was very competitive and reasonable compared to the 6 companies I contacted for comparison quotes. They worked with me, were straight forward with answers to my questions, and were able to get our AC fixed in the same day that I called to set up the repair. We felt like they put us as their priority during the start of the most busy month of July when most others seemed too busy to take the time to talk to me in detail about our evaporator coil leak issue discovered. I experienced excellent customer service from Erin when discussing the issue on the phone and Joel who came to do the repair. Im happy and thankful we chose Northpoint!

They have nice technician but extremely expensive. Will not use them again. They charged $120/lb on R-22 and $85 to come to our house ( which is just a few blocks away from them) to fill my unit. I agreed because I did not know other places were so much cheaper. Other places, I later found out, won’t charge service call for filling R-22 just the price for per pound which they charge $80/lb. Edit: and they called me for this review saying that I trashed them. I am just stating an honest review if no one else does. They said they were the only ones to respond. I now wish they hadn’t. They were the only ones I called though. My advice is shop around before making a decision.

Northpoint replaced my complete a/c system including duck work which was wrong since the house was built. When I went into the attic to inspect the work I was amazed at the workmanship that was done. We recently purchased a home in downtown Columbia. Northpoint inspected the house and has been doing the maintenance ever since. They show up when they say they are going to show up and have made recommendations that are in our best interest. Not only that but they explain and teach why they are making those recommendations. I wish I could give Northpoint heating and air zero stars! They charged me $90 on 08/28/19 for a diagnosis that took less than 10 minutes.( without fixing anything). So I had to call them the next day to fix the problem which cost an additional $250. The tech stayed less than 30 minutes and my ac is still not working! And to top it all off my unit is still under warranty! Please dont trust these people. They are crooks who take advantage of people who dont know what they should be paying. Reference point: hvac should cost between 100-150 an hour. And I paid 250 for less than 30 minutes with a warranty and nothing was fixed.

Amazing! I had been putting off a new unit for 3 years because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle. One previous provider had quoted me upwards of $6-$8k. Which was more than I wanted to put into a house I plan to sell in a few years. When I met with Brent, not only was his pricing very competitive- but he gave me two easy options. AND- he informed me of an SCE&G rebate. He even filled out the form, and provided me with a pre stamped- addressed envelope. All I had to do was sign my name, account number and mail! I left my house today at 945 am and came home for lunch at 145 pm to my house temperature at 87. I called my husband and decided to wait till my husband got home at 330 pm and see if he could fix the problem. We QUICKLY discovered that we COULDNTT FIX IT. We called Northpoint Heating and Air at 355 and they told us they could have someone at the house between 4-6 pm. I was SHOCKED when Joel was at my house at 406 pm. He was VERY nice and friendly even petting my 16 lb fur baby. He went right to looking at my AC unit outside and in the Attic. He explained to my husband what was wrong, and how to fix it. He also took the extra step to explain a few things we might want to look at repairing, maintenance we might want to preform etc. We offered him a bottle of cold water, and he was very polite and thankful for the kind gesture. WE would 100000% suggestion this company to anyone.

This review is based on a gut feeling. I had my house built in 2014 and this company installed the HVAC during the construction. It has consistently broken down every year since. The issues have always been a loss of coolant that lead to a compressor going out. So, theres always a coil or some other component that leaks causing the coolant drop below safe operating pressures for the system, and the compressor shorts out from running too much. There is not a low pressure switch on my system that would prevent the compressor from catastrophic failure - but that is Great Southern Homes choice as I understand it, not Northpoint Heating and Air. The very persistent issue that my system is leaking beyond what I myself can ever imagine as normal leaves me with the feeling that the quality of the install (done by this company) and repairs (mostly done by this company) are suspect at the very least. I had discussed these issues with Mr. Welty in depth over the past years, and while attempts were made to mitigate the costs to me personally, that is no longer acceptable if it is just going to continue costing me money and not addressing an underlying issue, and its no longer an option as the repairs at the moment for this years breakdown are now soaring over $3,000. I feel like I have made the choice to use this company over the years because they indeed installed it, but Im also feeling that a consistant problem and a consistent solution may just be all a consistent problem. I will be using another company for HVAC services from now on, and I personally cannot recommend this company. They usually have been friendly in our discussions, but the last few we had felt a bit off as they seemed to place responsibility for the issue almost no where and tried to make it a non-issue, or carefully blame it on Great Southern Homes with the disclaimer that Great Southern Homes couldnt be held liable because everything was correct by the numbers architecturally. All I know is something smells fishy, so beware.

Great service and great technicians but Extremely Expensive. 1 hr job, part cost $150.00 want for labor $545.00. I will definitely use for diagnostic but will go somewhere else for labor if I cant do myself.

I have had my annual maintenance checkups done with Northpoint for over 15 years. During one of my last visits your technician was here and he reminded me about the nagging refrigerant leak that I continued to put off. He then recommended that I replace my 20 year old system. I knew the time was coming, so I had your salesman come out later that day to give me a price. While I was trying to make my decision, I noticed one of my neighbor’s across the street was having a new unit installed. Being prudent, I figured I would get a second estimate, so I approached the workers from Cassell Heating & Air at my neighbors to inquire about a price. To my amazement, the first two guys I spoke to did not speak english at all and they simply pointed to the person who I assumed was their “boss.” I asked him if he could give me a price at my house and he said “I just do some contracting for this company and that I would have to call Cassell’s office.” While I was leery about this, I still went ahead and called their office to have the salesman give me a price. Although their price was slightly less expensive, I decided to stay with the company that I knew and trusted. Having seen the same employees year after year with Northpoint and not a company that uses sub-contractors, I felt more comfortable to entrust in you for one of the largest purchases of my life. Since my neighbor’s and my installation were completed, I have seen the other company’s truck at my neighbor’s house numerous times. I am very happy and satisfied that I have not had to see you again since my installation. Thank you very much again for all your help with this process. I will make sure my other neighbor’s know who to call in the future.

These people are RUDE over priced and do a poor job. They also will avoid calls if they have overcharged or do something incorrect. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!

I am an avid DIY-er...but I was stumped with my AC unit that quit working...after spending some $$$ that I probably didnt need to spend I called them up...still stumped...and Northpoint was able to jog my thinking and I was able to fix it myself...(turns out when the exterminators were underneath my home, they tripped the power to the air handler)...easy fix, thanks Northpoint!

Ac fixed on July 12th and not working by July 15th and only offered a $30 refund for a $475 repair cost. On July 9th we scheduled to have North point come to our home and fix the AC unit. The tech was supposed to call 30 min prior to arriving at the location and we never received a call so we missed the appointment. We called and rescheduled for someone to come on July 12th. They came and fixed the unit for a cost of $475.00. By the 15th the service was not working. I called on July 17th and spoke to the service manager Aaron whom I gave the information and advised him that I was requesting a refund for the service. He stated that he would research the issue and get back to me. He called me back on July 18th and advised me that with the service there was a $125 leak check done. I advised him that the leak check was not done properly. He asked me if there were any recent changes to the home wall system in order to see if we hung up any pictures that could have pierced any lines and I advised him no. I told him that based on all the issues we have had with this home we have decided to move out, and I am requesting a refund for a service that didnt even work for a week. He stated that with the leak check there was also a diagnostic fee that was waived of $90 and that he would be willing to give a $30 refund. I find this an outrage. We were delayed with the service being done because of the proper appointment not being done correctly and in addition we are being offered only $30 back on a $475 price that did not work for what I needed it to. I would like to have this researched and advised what I can do in order to get my money back. This is a very unprofessional way of doing business and needless to say I would not recommend North Point to anyone that I know let alone use their services again. They were only focused on their profit and not how much money we lost.

As a Military family, moving is part of our lives. We can say Northpoint Heating and Aircondition has by far been the best HVAC Company we have ever done business with. Always honest with needed repairs and scheduled services, always professional and prompt, and always go the extra mile to take care of you. We have moved again, and rent our home and continue to have Northpoint handle our HVAC needs when our tentants have a problem. Their integrity is beyod reproach, and I highly recommend Northpoint Heating and Airconditioning.
