I am a first time customer and was very impressed, the online appointment option is convenient and online coupon options are a plus. Brent and Carl took great care of my teenage daughter and her car inspection. I received an in-depth report with images and a full, detailed description of each part of the inspection. I was completely pleased with the service we received but a text from owner, Devin, following up to ensure we were completely satisfied with their work was a bonus! No doubt I will not hesitate to be a return customer if the need arises.

I was new to DK Motors and found them on Google and went to them because they had good Google reviews. I was very impressed with the professionalism and honest approach they treated me with. My car had previously failed inspection and needed the ball joints and wheel bearing replaced. They quoted me a price and then stuck with that price, even though the work on my Jeep required more time. They kept me informed of progress during the job and got it done as promised. My Jeep has never driven better. I guess I didnt realize how important ball joints are. I guess I didnt realize how nice it was to work with such honest and friendly mechanics either. Now I know. I highly recommend the service at DK Motors. Devin was the main person who helped me and was great to work with.

Devin runs a first rate automobile shop here in Columbia. Customer service is really important to me, and I can tell you, Devin takes this very seriously. He adheres to the Under promise, over deliver adage and I appreciate that. The auto work that he does is second to none, and he believes in diagnosis and not just guessing what problems are present. I had him diagnose a Check Engine Light and he promptly ordered and replaced a sensor I needed and the van drives great and the light has remained out like it should be. Ive been nothing but pleased with DK Motors and you should not hesitate to give them a call for all your automobile needs.

Ive used Devin and DK Motors several times. I own a body shop and sometimes the mechanical end of our business is a little too much. So I trust my business and my customers to DK Motors. We have had multiple inspections done here and one or two repair jobs done. They are always extremely friendly, very thorough, and explain things clearly. I have had many mechanics here in town try to take advantage of the fact I’m a woman and they assume I don’t know anything about vehicles, but I’ve never had an experience like that here! I’ve had several cars into Devin and he’s done a terrific job on all of them. I was especially impressed with the detail he went into with our old van. Could have been almost anything wrong with it in the world, but by the time he was done looking it over I had no doubts that whatever repairs I did would be done right!

DK Motors really impressed me with how attentive they were. As soon as my car reached the shop, Gavin gave me a call to ask questions about my vehicle before they began working on it. He continued to update me on the progress of my car throughout the day and while they had it. Unfortunately, it would not act up for them like it was for me. They did let me know what codes read! The only complaint I have is that their prices seemed kind of steep, but I have never had my car repaired in Columbia before this, so it may be right along the lines of every other shop.

This is the only place in Columbia that I like to take my Jeep Wrangler. They always work fast but are also attentive to detail. As far as I know, theyre always honest with their suggestions and have yet to disappoint. My car hasnt had any problems whatsoever. Thank you to the DK Motors crew!

I have gone to DK Motors for help with my Toyota Celica a couple of times now for maintenance and various issues and they have always been extremely friendly, accommodating, quick and do great work. They dont overcharge you and they give detailed information about anything they find or work on. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done on their car!

My Jeep radiator blew while traveling through Columbia Missouri. DK Motors started work on it the next morning and had me up and running that afternoon. The service was professional, courteous, and the workmanship top-notch. I honestly wish DK was in my state as they would be my auto service go-to. Upon picking up the vehicle the owner personally reconnected my trailer and thanked me. Great customer service is not dead!

Awesome job. Quick, knowledgeable, went well past satisfactory service. Devin called the local DMV on my behalf after I had an issue to talk to a manager and clear things up. I highly doubt most places would take such a personal interest in making sure their clients are set up for success.

Ive been taking all my vehicles to Devin for years. He explains everything clearly and makes sure you understand how your vehicle is doing now as well as what could happen in the future. A friend referred me to him in college. My car needed a lot of work (much more than a college student could afford at once). Devin helped me decide which repairs to do first and which could wait a little as well as find reliable parts within my budget. No funny business. No mysterious new problems popping up after visiting. If he says something needs fixed, I know it needs done. Unlike other shops Ive been to, theres no one trying to pull a fast one just because Im a woman (and assuming I dont know anything about cars). And Ive never had to go back due to a bad repair.

Ive been taking my car to DK motors for about a year and a half and I wish I would have known about this place sooner. I am the typical stigma of a female who doesnt know much about cars, and so I cannot help but feel its possible I could be taken advantage of when going to shops for maintenance or repair. 5 Stars is still cutting these guys short. Devin and his team were extremely knowledgable, thorough, and excellent at communicating along the way. We cannot thank them enough. Our truck was towed to another shop in town where they recommended getting an entire engine replacement. We were referred to DK Motors by our neighbor and decided to have the truck towed there for a second opinion. They took their time and really looked into the issues and not only were able to fix the truck at less than half the cost of replacing the engine but also had the other shop replaced the engine with another used engine it would not have even corrected the issue after spending thousands of dollars. We will always be going there in the future and referring everyone to them.

I just love the fact that I feel like a real person to DK Motors. Im not just another car with another problem. I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything for their car. No pushy up-selling when you get an oil change, no forgotten waiting person. I will go to them for everything for both of my cars.

Had an awful day today, which your vehicle breaking down on I-70 in the middle of July is never a good thing. Tow company recommended DK Motors to haul it to, and I am glad they did. The owner was incredibly professional and very kind and understanding. His staff were excellent and even stayed late to help get me back on the road (I was about an hour and half away from home.). If I should ever need car repairs near Columbia again (And really hope I dont) I will be sure to take it to DKs!

I have used DK motors for years on 4 different cars. They do great work and dont try to up sell you anything. Ive had them find used parts for me on one of my older cars. Very straightforward about what needs to be done and will call you for approval before they do anything.

DK Motors is the only auto mechanic shop in Columbia Missouri for me.As a business owner I rely on having my vehicle to make a living. I clipped a deer on Halloween and not only did DK take the time to order the part in advance so that I would not be without my car for long, they also refused to take my money until they spoke with my insurance company to let them know that there was more damage than originally estimated.Devin does a phenomenal job!

I brought my car in to have it diagnosed and was saddened by the news of the diagnosis. However I was very pleased with the service that Devin provided. He went above and beyond what a normal mechanic/business owner would do for their customers. Devin, the owner, scheduled me for an oil change and tire rotation. Paul completed it for me and checked out an annoying rattling sound that was coming from the undercarriage of my car and fixed it no questions asked! Its not often one uses cordial or honest as a descriptor for a mechanic shop. Usually good-ish is well-enough. Well, this is a shop that isnt just good-ish, but has an owner willing to have open communication and be very polite and honest along the way. I couldnt justify spending all of the things I probably should have needed done and Devin never once pressured me or tried to talk me into over-extending my budget. Over the coming weeks and months, I will be spending much more money there simply because I trust the advice I was given, and he was understanding of the choices I made. 5+ stars.

In years past, I have always tried to be cheap on my auto repair. Anyone who claimed they could fix it would get a chance. This always burned me in the long run and short run for that matter. Id come back to parts scattered, delayed fix times & a lot of time nothing even done. I have been taking my cars to Devin for last 3 years and couldnt be happier. He is so professional and concerned with my experience as a customer. His prices are fair & I have 1000% confidence everything that should have been done was. I honestly wont ever go anywhere else.

I went to DK Motors in 2015. I drove a 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible. I took it in because it kept overheating and so they replaced a part and it cost around $300 and I felt good about it. I drove it for a week and it broke again. I took it back, Devin said that well this problem didnt exist when you brought it the first time.Devin then goes on to tell me that my car has a chain in its engine that connects to the water pump. To replace the water pump, you have to take the whole engine apart. He said that this problem is common with Sebrings. Why didnt he tell me that to begin with? The same problem was happening - car overheating, water bubbling up in the same spot. But yet Devin took my money and tried to take more money after that but I refused.They also replaced a stabilizer bar in the front of my girlfriends Chevy Aveo, which was put in incorrectly and caused damage to her car according to another mechanic.Do not go to DK Motors.

I came to Dk motors for an oil change and a recharge for my AC, the service was quick and im relieved to say my AC is back to normal. The middle of July is the worst time to have your AC go out, also Devin said that if it wasnt the freon that was low that I could take it back in free of charge to find out what was wrong with it. While my car was up on the rack the mechanics noticed that I was in desperate need of new tires, two of which were on the verge of blowing out. Ill admit its my fault for letting them get so bad, but not everybody can exactly afford new tires. Devin found a used tire shop in town and found four used tires that barely had any wear on them and installed them that same day. Devin probably saved me around 400 dollars after purchasing the tires and after the installation. The customer service was simply amazing. I would definately refer DK motors to anyone looking for work on their automobile. I rest easy at night knowing my mechanic wont try to upcharge me and tell me something is wrong with my car when there isnt. Thanks Devin.

This place is a joke. never in my life have I seen such a lame staff of mechanics they had no urge to help me they acted like a bunch of robots the were programed and didnt want to help. no eye contact while talking. NO customer service. HORRIBLE prices, DK wanted to charge me $3500 for a new front and rear drive shaft. I did it all by myself for less than $800 and was quoted by 2 other shops for less than $1000. I will be making complaints to the better business bureau, google and any other review format I can find for this joke of a company. I am beyond shocked at this horribly run business that has NO customer service or will to help gain customers or their trust.

So I went in for an oil change and a quick inspection of the cv joint but purchased the oil change through a groupon. This was my third groupon purchase for them. It took them 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete it on average when the receptionist, DEVIN, told me that it would take 45 minutes, So I waited every time. RIDICULOUS, just send me home, but obviously there time is worth more than the customers.When the job was done he cashed me out and sent me on my way... BUT WAIT, he never said anything about the cv joint, so I asked about it and if they checked it out. He said he didnt know and had to go ask the mechanic... Ok so why did it take 1 hour and 45 minutes to change my oil!!! Anyways, he comes back after reconciling with the mechanic and says that it needs to be replaced. By this time I spoke and said how furious I was with this whole situation and he was very understanding and even offered 50% off the labor charge to fix the cv joint. I gladly accepted and never returned.Now knowing that I needed a cv joint, I went and purchased the part and decided to replace it myself, saving a butt load of money. I have done this repair before and know what to look for. I noticed that the cv joint looked TOTALLY FINE but since I took it all apart, I replaced it anyways. After testing it out, it wasnt the part that needed to be replaced.. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS.I ended up needing completely different parts to fix the problem but I am guessing they would have replaced the part anyways and also found more (the correct parts needing to be replaced) parts to replace and charged me even more...This is your typical scam.STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Truly an unreal experience but Im sure it happens to the best of us. Keep your eyes and ears open for their trickery.

I wouldnt take my vehicle anywhere else! Dropped it off to be repaired, got it back the same day and ended up costing way less than I anticipated. The staff was very friendly and prompt. I would recommend them to anyone!

I dropped my car off early in the morning before the shop opened. I was there to get a front end tire alignment, A/C recharge and safety inspection. I was told my car would be finished in the late afternoon I found that first they took my car to another shop to get the alignment, without notifying me. I wasnt able to get my car until the evening, after 6. Again I was never told or given an option on whether or not my car would be taken somewhere else.

After being told to go to DK Motors by a good friend, I thought Id give them a shot. However, I cannot say that I recommend them to anyone. After they made their first mistake with me, I called to talk to the owner (Devin) to smooth things over so we could continue doing business together. This is because I wanted to give them a second chance (to me, everyone deserves a second chance) and I really believed in them. I wanted them to be my primary (and only) mechanic and to take good care of my car. I was able to work things out with Devin and we were all good to go.On my second visit, I was treated the same as I was during the first visit. I have since decided to change mechanics, because I cannot continue being treated like this anymore. I will break down the main pros and cons of this shop from my experience.Pros:- Fair prices for parts and labor.- Friendly owner.Cons:- Repairs not always fully completed (which requires an extra visit, sometimes more than one).- Their schedule is almost always full and you have to call days in advance to get anything set up, and they dont seem to care about your schedule, just theirs, so they make you jump through hoops.- Their hours are 9:00 - 5:00, Monday through Friday only, making it very difficult for people with 8:00 - 5:00 jobs to get in and see them.- If your repair was not fully completed and you have to return, they dont let you come back right away. Instead, you have to schedule it a few days later.- They are flaky with their communication. I asked them to fix two things and they said they could get it done in a day. I took my car to them and they kept it for 26 hours and only finished one thing. When I confronted them about this, they said they never told me they could get the other thing fixed in that time-frame. They said I would have to bring the car back the week after.Additional notes: Rick is the guy who normally answers the phone, so hes the one you have to deal with every time you call in or go drop off the car/pick it up. If Devin were the one doing this, it might be a different story. Devin was always courteous to me and explained things properly, whereas Rick would just keep rescheduling me and pushing my schedule off, despite telling him that I have a tight schedule and a strict job that doesnt allow for much time off. Rick also doesnt explain the repairs in detail to me like Devin does, leaving me confused and wondering why I had to pay for this or that when it wasnt in the original estimate.Sorry, DK Motors. I really tried to give you a shot, especially after my friend recommended me to you, but I just cant keep getting pushed off like Im no big deal and that my schedule doesnt matter. I know you guys have a tight shop to run and lots of other customers, but pushing a customer off over and over for a repeated repair isnt right, especially when the problem should have been fixed the first time.I give this shop a 2-star rating. Devins kindness and courtesy bumped it up from 1 to 2, but the constant rescheduling, being pushed off, not having repairs explained properly, bad communication, and having my car returned to me in worse shape than before I brought it in takes away the other stars. I need a mechanic who will listen to me and work with me to get problems resolved, rather than push me away because they are always too busy to fix something they didnt get right the first time.
