Cedric was our technician today. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable of our system. He showed up ahead of schedule and was more then willing to show me the system and what he was doing. Will definitely do business with them again.

Friday the 13th was indeed an unlucky day for us, for our old Goodman unit simply imploded and was beyond repair. On the lucky side, we had a long-standing contract with 2nd Wind and service tech Robert Morgan was quickly dispatched to the scene. In short order we had a contract for a new Tempstar unit, but on the downside, it could not be installed until Monday. To make it through a very hot weekend, service tach Morgan brought us two window units for our bedrooms. Then first thing on Monday morning, service techs Dustin and Jervet showed up to begin the install. Unfortunately, this was just about the time that tropical storm Fred was sending bad weather through our area. Yet in spite of the poor weather conditions, the unit was finally installed by Tuesday and we finally had a cool house once again. The 2nd Wind service staff were professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, supportive in our time of need. I would highly recommend 2nd Wind and their service contact.

2nd Wind installed a new HVAC for me in October. Jason, Dusty and Don worked hard and did an excellent job. After installation, Rusty did inspection of unit. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to fill in serial numbers for rebate paperwork which was appreciated.Sammy Freeman gave recommendation for type of unit and made loan process very smooth. So I have been reading reviews here and want to take a minute to open some eyes. Is every situation perfect? No. Does everything go according to plan every time? No. Is a job done right important? YES!. Most people do not realize what it costs to operate a quality company like 2nd Wind. You have an enormous amount of liability. You have to insure everything you do, All of your employees, vehicles, building you operate from. You have to have inventory on hand, pay an answering service and provide 24 hour service. There are huge expenses involved in providing the kind of quality service they provide. Their employees go through every back round check you can think of including drug, credit and sexual offense. I dont know about you but I dont Jack Leg at my house looking over my belongings. These people are professionals. It is not cheap to provide this type of service. You get what you pay for .Before you get irate take time to discuss any disagreements you have and talk to them like you would like to be talked to. I know from personal experience that this company is the go to for heating and air conditioning. I even trimmed my shrubs back so the whole neighborhood can see the detail they go to when they install a new unit. The county will be out to inspect the job next week. Will your company provide that final detail? Will they come out on Christmas at 2 in the morning when you have a problem? You may want to check before you decide to go with a low ball half done job.If you check around you will see that other large companies prices and theirs are truly competitive. In addition, with respect to ALL! I also believe that any service company is only as good as the technician that is providing the service. Please take time and share this with your entire staff. It is from the heart and may benefit your company operations. A good salesman is normally a poor technician.
I just got the particle readings after the installation of the Abatement System and I am ecstatic! Tommy G and Chris C were great installers. A big shout out to Chris K for a superior job and leading the team! Really looking forward to breathing easier.

The good - the company is well run administratively. They are prompt, efficient and know what they are doing.The bad - (1) They will try to upsell you with each maintenance visit or repair call; (2) They promise three maintenance visits per yearly contract. However, they only make two.Their contract states it is the customers responsibility to schedule the maintenance visits They consistently skipped the second visit. (3). GET a second quote if they install a new unit.
2nd Wind is the best Ive ever dealt with Their professional technician, Joe Partin, is like part of the family when he comes for repairs at our 2 [properties. He assesses the problem, takes plenty of time to discuss repair options, and then works diligently to get it done. He definitely goes over and beyond. Love this company!!

In the 20+ years Ive owned this house, this is the third company Ive used and by far the best. Theyve done everything from regular maintenance and simple repairs to total system replacement. In each case, theyve explained it all fully to me, arrived when they said they would or called and arrived earlier. All the other reviews are either 5-star or 1-star which always looks suspicious. So, heres my 4-star review since in the many years Ive used 2nd Wind, Ive occasionally been annoyed but Ive always received very good service, which is, yes, sometimes expensive. Still-in-all, I have remained their customer for several years and have and would recommend them to my friends.
I want to say a big THANK YOU to Brandon and Russell for persevering until resolution on the AC system a couple of weeks ago. The temps outside were near 100 degrees and the inside would not cool below 78 and 76 at times. Both gentlemen were very courteous and knew how frustrated I had been with the unit during the extreme heat. You can tell that both men really like their jobs and aim to satisfy the customer. AC is fixed thanks to both of them.
Prices are astronomical and somehow they were able to give a quote (twice as high as the other two I got) without ever looking at my units or coming to the house. Then, they bad mouthed the other companies saying how cheap they were. Not good business, a child knows that. At least the other companies took the time to look at the job they were going to do and not throw out some arbitrary number. Stay away with a 10ft pole unless you want to get charged double for who knows what kind of work....
I paid for a maintenance agreement in Dec that was supposed to include three maintenance visits per year. The technician said they would call me in June to schedule my next visit. I never heard from them all summer. When I finally called in Oct. to ask about my maintenance, the secretary said, they got busy this summer and got behind on fulfilling their maintenance agreements. So in other words they put the people who already paid for their service behind new contracts. Thats why I paid for a maintenance agreement, so that I would have my service regardless of their busy season. When I inquired how they intended to provide me with two more visits this year when there are only three months left in the year. The secretary said they would just double up and do another service in Dec. Wait, how is it helpful for me to get no service all year and then two visits in three months. Thats ridiculous. Honestly, I believe I would have never heard from them again had I not called to inquire about my service. I no longer trust this company to honor their contracts.
They have provided excellent service and will continue to do so. A new unit will be installed once we return from an emergency trip
Called company to come look at heating system because it was having trouble heating the house. Technician came out and said nothing was wrong and then went back upstairs. An hour later they came back down stating they fried out the main board and told us we would be without heat. This happened on Saturday and we were told the parts would be in Wednesday. It is now the following Saturday and the technician never showed up for the appointment window so I just called and cancelled the appointment because I have prior plans. Our central heat has been out for a week. Luckily, we have a fireplace and space heater. To be fair, they offered us some small space heaters but I declined because we already had one. You might have better luck with them, but I would go elsewhere. No sense of urgency to fix something they break.
They come quickly and know what they are doing. Always respectful
This place is a horrible horrible place! I do not reccomend them to anyone, they have very little knowledge & the men that were at my house were telling me how much they got paid & they pay their staff very very little for the work they do. They will sell you a unit that you dont even need to make a commission check because thats how they get any kind of money being paid very little hourly. Go elsewhere if possible.
We had a new Tempstar air conditioner and heater installed by 2nd Wind last week. We are very happy with the service we received. Kenny met with us and explained everything we needed to know about the units in great detail. He was both polite, personable and very knowledgeable. Daniel and Stephen, along with Kennys help, did a great job installing these units. They were also very polite, hard working, and knowledgeable.
Our new tech was excellent. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. Very competent and customer service oriented. Under the circumstances it was a great experience.
This company is amazing. My AC died right before a huge heat wave. Brandon arrived just as they promised and spent hours in the sweltering heat trying to fix the unit. After it was clear the only thing to do was replace the system, 2nd Wind loaned us 2 window units to keep us cool until the next day. They brought those within the hour and showed up promptly the next morning the installation was quick and very professional (they left everything spotless).Brandon came back to inspect the work and patiently answered all my questions. Not only did they install the new system, they also expanded the ducts and made sure I had everything needed to have it run at peak efficiency. This company also really stands behind their work. 10 year warranty on parts and labor! I couldn’t recommend them more.

2nd Wind Heating and Air was very helpful and straight forward in his diagnosis and solution for my AC unit. They took their time to make sure I understood all the options and represented the company very professionally. The technicians did a very neat installation of the new unit. They were very courteous and polite and went the extra mile by trimming the bottom of the new unit to my satisfaction. 2nd wind has been reliable for the many years I’ve done business with them.
I must say I was a little shocked when I first got the estimate for replacing my 30 year old AC system. However, Neal explained in detail what I needed and why I needed it. From there, the installer did exactly what Neal said they would. As the very professional installers went through the two day task of replacing my old unit, I saw what 30 years would do to a HVAC system.

The gentlemen who installed my AC today were Jon and Nick. They worked like Trojans in my hot attic and never complained. They were courteous and only asked to cool off downstairs one time. The 2nd Wind staff took care of them bringing them Gatorade regularly. You would think having 2 men in your house all day would be intrusive, but they were not at all. This company is always finding something wrong and selling up. Expensive. Overheard tech on phone and they get paid according to how much is charged at each house call. As if this isnt bad enough - they found a leak in my compressor and wanted to run dye thru the line which is a real no no. Lennox said that would have cx my warrantee . So I found someone else who quickly found the leak, agreed you never run dye through the line (which of course then 2nd wind would have had to charge for new compressor ($6000). So my new company fixed for $950 as my warranty gave me a new compressor. Watch out for this company - after the money!!!!
Early yesterday morning we discovered our air conditioner was not putting out the nice cool air we were used to getting. This was a good time to try 2nd Wind, as my sister had recommended them and other neighbors have used 2nd Wine. We were not disappointed, phone was answered immediately, service was promised at the end of the day, 6-8 PM but they called around 2 PM and had the job done before 4:30. That is service, good service! We also signed up for a maintenance program as past history has shown us the benefits of such a program. Thanks 2nd Wind! And thanks to Brian, the technician who delivered this great service.
When my heating unit went out last week I called 2nd wind thinking they were a well known reputable company. When the technician arrived to inspect the unit he quickly determined that I needed a new pressure switch and exhaust blower. After calling the office he he told me the blower would cost $700 and the pressure switch would be $200 with another $100 for labor. With a simple Google search I was able to find the blower for prices ranging from $120 to $180 and the pressure switch for $30 to $50. When I showed the technician what I had found he confirmed that they were the correct parts but insisted he was not in charge of setting the price for parts. I feel lucky that I have enough mechanical knowledge to make these repairs on my own and feel bad for the person who would have been forced to pay the exorbitant $1000 repair bill. I will accept that their diagnosis was correct and replacing those parts did fix the problem but a 600% mark up on parts is outrageous. I will never use this company again and advise others to find another company for their HVAC needs.
I called them after a recommendation and Im very glad I did. I had a small emergency I needed taken care of immediately and they did a great job fixing things up.
When the installation was complete, I saw an immediate and drastic improvement in our climate control. Three days after the installation was complete, Neal came by and checked the work, and explained to me the maintenance for the future. 2nd Wind exceeded my expectations in both the installation process, and the improvement in climate control my new HVAC system made!
I have been a customer of 2nd Wind Heating & Air for over five years now and could not be happier with the service I receive. My last experience with them happened a few weeks ago when my AC went out late saturday afternoon. I called them and they were able to send someone out the next day to replace the broken part, they had a new one with them on the truck! In all, it took about an hour for him to diagnose the problem, repair the unit, and put everything back together. I would also recommend their maintenance program to anyone who wants peace of mind. They will come out twice a year and check the unit over carefully and give it a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. One thing I really like about the maintenance program is you can take it with you if you move to another house or the new owner can take it over without having to pay anything extra. I hope this has been helpful to anyone searching for a good HVAC company, they are few and far between. Dont waste your time with others, call 2nd Wind.Bob Lancaster
