I lived in a two bedroom apartment, off Delaware dr. Upon moving in we found that the dish washer was riddled with mold. We called and they did have it replaced within a week, but the new dishwasher didnt dry. The hot water tank was in poor repair so the Colorado Springs Utilities person had problems getting it started. The apartment itself was pretty decent. But my experiences here were very poor from start to finish. Not the landlords fault, but Comcast is in the area and the cable internet there is awful, at least a dozen drops per day. We switched to CenturyLink DSL and were much happier just having a steady internet connection. The landlord did give us permission to have the higher speed line installed.For starters, we could not bring our own washer and dryer, had to use the ones onsite. Their washer shredded clothing and blankets, their dryer typically took a few hours to dry clothes. The vent from the dryer is in the apartment, so expect that extra heat, it does have a filter. We found out that the neighboring buildings from another company (same building type and sizes), were cheaper rent. The tenants in our own building were hit or miss, a few were great. The one downstairs neighbor constantly had his dogs tied outside and did not clean up after their poop, so expect that smell every day when you leave the apartment, when he moved out our apartment got pests. The neighbors also let their animals poop in the front yard and do not clean up after it. The same downstairs neighbor stole my grill when he moved out. You can expect a high amount of homeless in the area constantly trying to steal or break into your vehicles, one lived in the shed at the neighboring building. The landlords solution to that was to mount a spotlight right outside the bedroom window that made it impossible to sleep at night. The dumpster is directly beneath the other bedroom window and it has a broken lid that is always open, so the bedrooms constantly smelled like animal poop, rotten food, etc if you had a window open. The apartment buildings across the street were something else, you can expect the police to be constantly in front of your apartment, either for brawls in the street, domestic disputes, etc. There was a SWAT raid. The one downstairs neighbor (they were black) had their windshield smashed in from someone at the other apartment building (they were white) this past Summer...Upon moving out, I took two days off work to make sure it was clean. We had the place sprayed, I patched the nail holes for pictures in the walls and painted them (the landlord provided the paint). Detailed and scrubbed the walls, cabinets, oven, fridge, washer/dryer, sinks, toilet, tub, carpets, windows, and blinds. The landlord charged to do all those things again. They charged to have the carpets replaced and recleaned due to pet damage. We installed the front blinds and all the curtains in the apartment, they charged to repair and replace them even though they werent in the place to begin with. They charged to patch and paint the walls, even though it was already done and there was no damage to them. This is the only apartment Ive ever rented from and not gotten my deposit back. The attached pictures are how I left the apartment. Upon moving in they requested we give them a positive review right off the bat, now I see why.

I have had the privilege to have them as my management company for 2 years while renting one of their properties. I have found the experience very enjoyable. They have always responded immediately to any questions or concerns. Repairs were done promptly. Their user friendly app made payments and repair request so simple and put my mind at rest. Then about three years ago, we sold the SFR and bought a four-unit apartment, also in Colorado Springs.We did have, and continue to have the highest regard for their professional care of our properties. With the four-unit apartment complex, Cornerstone is careful to monitor the conditions and upkeep of each apartment. In spite of the pandemic, sound and careful management is not only appreciated by us, the owners, but also by the tenants who see that Cornerstone personnel are on top of the need for repairs and upkeep.Finally, we really appreciate Cornerstones control of renewal of leases. My only collections debt at all, and I have a letter from the property manager and Collections company asserting it as an error to be removed immediately.She actually said the phrase youll probably end up owing us money. I havent missed rent payments in over six years and I have a 700 credit score.Dont waste your time on company with no morals or humanity.

A friend of mine lived in one of their home and it was great. But come move out we’ve had an extremely hard time coming in contact with the property manager to make sure everything is settled. We’re pretty upset with the lack of communication towards the end. Otherwise, the home was wonderful and well kept other then the landscaping.

New Tenants BEWARE!

I am 18 and when I found this real estate team I expected they weren’t going to take me serious nor treat me with respect as every other place has. So far, they have really had amazing patience and have treated me with a great deal of respect. I was really in need to find a place to live fast and I explained my situation and they had a place cleaned and ready for me to move in within days! I appreciate them. Although the pet deposit is in a way ridiculous, it’s worth it. They also spray for bugs and things and they have gone out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thank you!

If i could rate it 0 stars I would. The Manager Robert is the rudest landlord i ever dealt with in my years of renting history. Hes also a thief and crook. Not only is he keeping my $1,200 deposit he is trying to charge me over $5,000, in all my previous renting experiences i never paid more than $400 for a security deposit and I always got something back in return. Now im going to have to go to court to fight this. This whole situation has put an anchor in my life WORST experience. So think twice before you try to work with this Real Estate Team.

We love cornerstone. We were approved quickly and moved in without any problems. Shayla was helpful and very genuine. Since we moved in theyve been very responsive in fulfilling maintenance requests without any problems. The owner put the oven on the wrong kind of socket and cornerstone immediately scheduled an electrician. The electrician was even surprised that they okd the rewiring that was needed. They take good care of us.

I have lived here since march and legit it has been the worse experience ever. The assistant i have dealt with is extremely unprofessional and they worry about everything except a pest problem and constant vandalism that has occurred in the apartment complex.

I have lived at a cornerstone property for 4 years. I had an issue with my freezer, and Timothy Schuchard had a temporary fridge for me within 24 hours. Prior to Tim being the property manager, John Simons was the manager. He, too, was always prompt if something was needed. I will continue renting with them in the future. I also plan to buy a home, and I know theyll take care of my needs.

Don’t rent from them unless you absolutely have too. They don’t care who they rent too. We had a quiet complex and they moved in young children and a big dog. If you are a good renter you will get nickeled and dimed. Normal things that a landlord should fix, they will charge you. Read every word in your lease. Even your “early lease termination” you will pay basically a months rent to “break your lease” BUT you are still responsible for your lease until it is rented. They require a professional cleaning company and professional carpet cleaning upon move out.

Cornerstone has managed my property very well for years. They find competent repairmen when needed at a reasonable cost and I don’t have the stress of trying to do it myself. They get quality tenants and there is a very low vacancy rate. The statements are sent on time and are very informative. I highly recommend them!

This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Even after giving them my 30 days notice they wanted another month payment. Even after I turn everything in and paying them. I would never RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THEM. Horrible management, horrible service and they never help out with the property or what ever your renting. I would stay away from them. They don’t care about the customer. They just want your money. Again HORRIBLE COMPANY. STAY AWAY. I hope they lose every customer they have. Because they are garbage

Cornerstone Reality was a great rental company to rent from. They were always professional and polite. Any maintenance issues were taken care of right away. The property I rented was in great condition. I wouldve loved to stay longer if I could have!

After purchasing my Duplex in 2013, and managing it horribly on my own for a couple of years, I reached out to Cornerstone for assistance. Within hours I was personally meeting with a representative, going over the agreement, and moving forward with entrusting them with my investment. The manager Robert W. micromanages everything but does not get ANY of the facts straight, His company did not put new carpet in or have any light bulbs in the fixtures when i rented, however they think it is O.K. the charge me to replace the carpet as I moved out and charged me for a bunch of things that never happened such as a charge of 75.00 for pest spray, a 70.00 for mattress disposal ( which i never did) 150.00 est. for light bulbs and blinds. they hit me for repainting their unit also in total they hit me for 1500.00 after i moved out..... the reason I moved out was 2 fold but mainly due to a huge cockroach infestation that they continue to lie about to this day. they even removed my account they were using to charge me so I could not dispute the charges... None of this is legal in the state of Colorado.

We rented from Cornerstone for 12 months. Never had any problems with the condo or management. It was a great company to rent from.
