I love how CC Campus Safety is in a great place like this for now
This place is not located at 219 E. UINTAH any more. It has moved. Im not sure where. This address is now Colorado College Campus Safety
I signed a lease, at the last minute they changed my move in date. This caused me to have to hire movers because I only had a few days to move. The apartment was filthy and missing baseboards when I got my keys. They did nothing about my horrible neighbors (who also rented from them). One neighbor was selling drugs, another dumped a mattress over their balcony and into my patio. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to move out early because I was getting anxiety just going home. Followed all the move out guidelines, left it cleaner than when I moved in, and didnt get my full deposit back. Worst rental experience ever. Avoid them. Apparently they are Progressive now
We are looking to relocate to the area and stopped by to get some information. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She explained everything thoroughly so we know what to expect should we decided to go with them. I appreciated the transparency.
I am a current resident at Fountain Tree.. Management reacted to my very few issues immediately. Neighbors are quiet. Rent is very reasonable. No problems at all. I am a single guy and the one bedroom is exactly what I want.. Not a lot of curb appeal or extras but for the price it, is a very good deal.
Corrupt company with poor morals. They were never going to give me my direct deposit back until I contacted them after the up to 60 days it could take to deposit was up. Then after they finally did give me my money, they took 250 of it for various charges, one of which was a cleaning fee for the apartment. My wife and I are former housekeepers at a 5 star hotel. We left that place cleaner than it was when we moved in. Thats a bs charge that they will charge everyone no matter what. They will find any way they can to screw you and make themselves more money. They also told us while we were there that we would be charged for any pet poop on the property including from neighbors passing by walking their dogs. That was another thing we had to fight tooth and nail over to avoid being responsible for, forcing us to look up the contract and point out that they are in fact responsible for grounds keeping. Overall the company is made of a bunch of crooks with no regard for their tenants. Avoid them if at all possible. I dont honestly see how they got a single good review.
Gloriann is amazing! She is the receptionist here and helped me with a lot or information to better help me get a step forward. She informed me on the ins and outs of how everything works and how to properly go about everything. She also made sure to let me know and feel comfortable about not getting discouraged about things that may seem like its not going the way I needed or planned and let me know of whats need to be done to make sure this goes smoothly. She is a great asset to sunflower management and such a wonderful person to speak with. If she does not have the answer she will fins it for you.... Would recommend all my friends and family looking for a place to this one.. Thank you.
Sunflower Property Management is the best property management company I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They have friendly staff and have always been on top of any problems that we had. I have been working with Rickie Byrd for over five years now and she it the greatest. Any issue I have had, I would let her know through email or a phone call, and she has always taken care of it and fast. My wife and I have had the best experience with Sunflower and I recommend them to everyone I know looking for a rental property! I recently had to move and unfortunately Sunflower did not have a property at the time to fit my familys needs. I had to deal with a couple of other companies only to find that they were rude and not willing to work with my less than perfect credit. Even though we make more than four times the amount of rent. I will never deal with another rental property company again! Thanks to all of the employees @ Sunflower Management! Keep up the great job!
Great experience with Sunflower Management and Rickie Byrd for the last two years!! Would highly recommend to anyone moving to the Colorado Springs area and looking for a trusted realtor. Always responsive to my phone calls and emails. If I move back to the area, I will definitely work with Sunflower Management again!
Sunflower took over the property management on the property my daughter was renting. She needed to get out of her lease early due to medical reasons. Paige at Sunflower quickly contacted the owner and got his consent for my daughter to move out as long as we got the property rented. They quickly got the property on Craigslist and put a sign out. It was rented within a couple of weeks. They were very cooperative and everything worked out great. I received the security deposit in about 10 days. I appreciate how helpful and understanding they were. I would recommend them!
Sunflower Management is a great company to work for with considerate and understanding co-workers. I have never felt more comfortable in a job. I will recommend Sunflower to everyone that I see and meet who needs a place to call home. The 24 on call maintenance team is very helpful with friendly and knowledgeable techs.
I read some of these poor reviews and I really dont understand because this company was efficient, responded to me in a very timely manner, they were kind and extremely helpful. They are online friendly but you can also arrange things with them by phone. They sent me confirmations of my viewing for properties as well as reminders on the day of and a thank you after I viewed the property. They are the best property management company I have ever dealt with. Thank you Sunflower staff!
I am the owner of Goodmans Appliance Repair and have done several repairs for Sunflower Property Management. The management team is always professional and very responsive. I consider their communication between their tenants and my company excellent. You can they genuinely care about their tenants. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a rental or a homeowner looking for a professional management company to mange their property or properties
What a terribly ran place. What a carnival show. Not one person actually works here. Not one real concern is handled by an adult. Its a daycare unit really. Rent from anyone else. Save yourself.
Property Owners beware. This management company sours tenant relations quickly and ruins buildings! They have repeatedly left names on and off leases far longer than reasonable; left sharp carpet tack strips exposed in building entryways (for months, even after being informed of the problem. A tenant had to remove them himself after stepping on them and INJURING himself); allowed MOLDS to grow within the building for MONTHS; have no idea who or what is living in their managed properties (unaccounted for people include new tenants like drug dealers); and any attempts to communicate with them are pointless. It takes at least a month to get a work order completed. Every time I call the office theyve fired my tenant relation specialist and replaced him/her with a new, even worse employee. They have conned us out of cash a few times by lying and misguiding us. They are horrible. Please Please Please do not let this horrible company abuse your tenants anymore. Find a new management company. These guys ruin buildings and hurt tenants.
To conclude my overall satisfaction with SF has changed. I ended up breaking my lease and would like to add some positive feedback. (To provide some background: besides the one flooding that happened in June, two other floodings followed within a span of 45 days. The flooding issue made the property uninhabitable and therefore lead me to breaking my lease.)I HIGHLY suggest if you have any issues/challenges to speak with Paige or Gretchen. Both of these ladies when they caught wind of the challenges Ive been going through were open to hearing my feedback and apologized for the experience I had. When we came to the table of breaking the lease, they stated that without a doubt my deposit would be fully refunded. Paiges demeanor was exceptionally professional, definitely an asset to SF. I believe a 100% if she or Gretchen knew what was going on in the beginning she would of set things straight right away. I understand working with a big company myself sometimes things can slide off the radar and issues can be overlooked and therefore not addressed. Paige and Gretchen openly stated this shouldnt of happened but it did and that they were sorry for the stress this has caused me. After the meeting Gretchen and Paige both reached out in phone calls to make sure I was okay and to ask if there was anything they could do. This was certainly a different SF experience and what I expected from the beginning. Companies just like people make mistakes, they acknowledged their error and i do believe tried their best to fix it.
DONT DO IT! Just DONT DO IT! Listen to the other Yelp reviews (which I didnt, and I regret). Only rent from these people if you are okay with not getting your deposit back (because too much damage was done to a 100+ year old house, even with photos, videos, and a detailed move-in inspection sheet to prove otherwise) and having paperwork lost/not filed appropriately (and getting blamed for not doing the paperwork/paying appropriate fees for the paperwork). ESPECIALLY, do not rent from these people if you are military. They bank on the fact that you will not hire a lawyer because you are not in town anymore.
I am actually going to retract my previous review due to the fact things have improved somewhat, and I will not have to deal with Sunflower come the end of my lease, so nothing can be said about the possible security deposit robbing. All in all Sunflower was ok, minus two instances in which I felt I was talked down to/had conflicting points of view. Other then these two instances, things were pretty standard. I will go as far as saying Ashley is very easy to deal with and is quite helpful. Basically detrimental to sunflower, in terms of taking care of things. Second, I want to say that Sean or Shawn, not sure how he spells it, is easily the greatest maintenance personnel I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is very kind and seems to truly care about his job. I thank him for being an awesome dude. My previous gripes are now shadowed by good experiences with both Ashley and Shawn, and hope they are rewarded for their great efforts in taking care of the renters. I am not sure how things would have gone down in the end if they were going to continue being the property management for my building, but at this time I can say they did alright.
Hi run why you can never rent from this company trust me i have asked to get this sink replaced it looks like a 50 yr old sink it is 30 yrs old sink they still havent replaced it and the floors are horrible the bathroom drain is broke clogs all the time called plenty of times about it still the thing not fixed it is horrible here the only matnice person thats works her is jim he is a amazing person. But dont rent here you will be very sorry .
They are nice people. Sometimes a little slow in response time for certain things, but all in all its been fantastic. If you are looking to move I would definitely give them a call.
Slum Lord. Nothing more to say.Don’t do it. There are many rental companies in Colorado Springs that run their company with integrity and ethics. Do NOT even waste your time here! They have no desire, with anyone, to have decent/moral/legal business relationships, obviously.
So far so good. We went to look at an apartment and got refered to a house that had just came available. We are happy with our home.**UPDATE** We moved from the area and had no issues getting our deposit back or communication between Scott, our location manager, and ourselves. If we move back to the area I would use this company again.
Although we did not end up living in Colorado Springs, we started using Sunflower Management and I was very impressed with their professionalism as well as their prompt responses to any of my questions. If we decide to move to Colorado Springs, this is definitely the place to go through. They know what they are doing and were always very polite.
They managed our property for 3 years and we always had good tenants. Even though we are no longer working with them, they still maintain a high level of professionalism and worked with us on any issues/questions/requests we had.
We lived in one of their properties on the Westside of the Springs and when we moved in, filled out a pretty extensive move-in report. It had a list of issues...mostly minor (a dripping sink, some wall scuffs, damage to the inside of the laundry room) so when they didnt come to fix them (the sink being my only real concern) after three calls, I just dropped it. HOWEVER. When we moved out, they told us we could pay to have the carpets cleaned in advance or just let them clean it. We opted for the first because we assumed we could do it for cheaper. Which we could. But after we moved out, they hired someone to clean the carpets again because they detected a pet smell. Guess what? Im allergic to dogs and cats. We had no pets in the home at any time for the duration of our lease. They charged us to do general maintenance on the property as though it was our responsibility to bleach the grout in the bathroom (which was already dirty when we moved in). We left that place SPOTLESS when we moved out and they refused to return any part of our $500 deposit due to issues of cleaning. My guess is they did none of it and just pocketed the money, since the property had problems they never fixed when we moved in. They hire very very nice people to get you in the door and sign the lease and then they put you through the ringer. Would never rent from these scam artists again.Follow Up: It says UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP but dont buy that theyve changed their policies. My former roommate just got the shaft from them.
Unfortunately still a tenant of one of their properties. Staff is friendly to some degree, however is horrible about returning calls and emails. My husband and I have tried getting maintenance to come out on multiple occasions due to the dryer in our laundry facility constantly going out on us. I have never received an email back from management concerning our maintenance requests. Not only that, we have a wood burning fireplace in our apartment that we were never told we could NOT use until the maintenance man came out at one point in time when we first moved in. We were told by him that the fire place has not been serviced In several years and to use our own discression on whether or not we want to use the fireplace. I would not recommend this company. On a positive note, our neighbors are friendly.
Horrible company!! The guy I rented my apartment from sold the property unfortunately sunflower management took over, the apartment was remodeled a month before they took over due to water damage kitchen, and bathroom both pretty much completely remodeled plus the carpet was replaced. Few months later my lease was up moved out did what my lease stated which was remove nails fill nail holes no where in the lease that I signed does it say to repaint the apartment well now the want to charge for painting the whole place For materials plus labor over 700$ after taking the 800$ deposits saying it took 3 days to repaint a 800 sq ft apartment. Just absolutely horrible company and unfortunately not the only time I’ve dealt with them first time I put a deposit on a place Year’s ago wasn’t approved for the property but they refused to give me my deposit back. Just save yourself the hassle awful awful company wish there was a way to give the zero stars.
After leasing for over 3 years with Sunflower, I have to give kudos to James, Rickie, Trish and Paige. All have gone above and beyond to address any issues or concerns and have always been pleasant to work with as well as professional. I recommend Sunflower for anyone looking to lease in Colorado Springs.
Pretty god awful experience. Bad company, poor response time, inconsistent policy, tries lots of shady stuff. Be careful.Unfortunately it seems like a rite of passage for Colorado College students to deal with these guys so have fun, class of 2015 and beyond!also to whoever lives in 1019 n weber st next year, please enjoy my subscription to the economist, as I cant figure out how to change the address.
RUN AWAY! Do not do business with this company. You will absolutely regret it. In every way. Find another rental company. There are plenty that follow Colorado tenant/landlord laws. This “business” is now calling themselves PROGRESSIVE PROPERTY GROUP. They are trying to skip out and hide from previous unethicaland illegal practices that have consequences. Same illegal bs and unethical people, just a different name. They should not be in business! Many people have reported them to the BBB. Run!
Glad I no longer rent from them. They were overall hard to reach when you needed them and our Tenant Relations Specialist was the rudest person - honestly, customer service is not her specialty at all. Maintenance often took a long time to visit, even in cases of emergencies. There was absolutely no communication. I gave them an extra star because they had a maintenance manager who would call to check up on issues, but every time I would have to tell him that his employees did not communicate the things that they did in the house or follow up needed on our end. They tried to make us pay for issues that were not our fault. They neglected to clean the ice in front of our property (upwards of 3 days) even though it is in the rental agreement; I slipped and fell. Thankfully someone took over my lease and paid me back my deposit, as Im sure like all the other reviews, they would have kept my deposit.
Everyone has bad and good days. Recently all of my interactions with Sunflower have been outstanding. New people are in place and the difference is amazing.
I am a current resident of this company and although I am happy with how they handle things I am not happy that I was rented a property that at first was not in habitable and should never have been put up for rent by any company. I will say that they where quick to get everything fixed and make the property in habitable when I brought it to their attention. Within about two weeks of my move in they had everything fixed.
We just moved in to a townhouse and there is no hot water in the shower and a chalky white residue coming from the kitchen sink water. When I call to follow up on the time frame of my service request four days later the tenant services rep responds with an “I don’t know”. Very unprofessional.
Sunflower Property management staff is professional and friendly. I have found that they go above and beyond in order to solve problems. Erica especially has been very helpful through the whole lease renewal process. I like it here...I have been at this apartment for three years now!
Impossible to contact, and unprofessional at almost every level of management. The maintenance staff do an excellent job despite their employers incompetence at the management level; but unless you call the emergency maintenance number that wouldnt matter. If at all possible, avoid this company. They cannot even properly handle essential legal obligations such as move in checklists or handling of security deposits.
Sara Triplett has been there with us 100% from the beginning. Her professionalism, knowledge, attentiveness and friendliness has been better than anything we had hoped for. We feel so blessed to be working with Sunflower and Sara!
Love the staff and maintenance is awesome GREAT company to rent from and have manage any properties you own. AWESOME all the way around.
I despise them. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and to no surprise so have many others. Why this company is still in business is beyond shocking. I pray to God they get shut down.
This company will refuse to do a walk through when you move out and invent bogus cleaning and repair charges to eat up your security deposit and then they will even bill you additionally. I left the apartment cleaner than I got it and was still robbed. While living there I also repaired the wooden front steps of the building with my own time and materials because they wouldnt repair them despite requests from multiple tenants. Avoid doing business at all costs!
I cant tell if they are a real company. I havent been able to speak to an actual person. We have tried to get into contact with the company in regards to 5 different properties.. No one answers the phone, returns phone calls or emails. They cancelled hours before or just havent shown up at all. I have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism in my life.
I was looking at a property managed by Sunflower Management, however after their lack of phone calls and the reviews I have just read, I think it will be safer to just walk away. My fiance and I have been calling for 4 days with no answer. I have also sent them emails and have yet to receive one back. We even went online and filled out their pre application form that you must submit before reviewing any property. We have yet to receive anything back expressing their desire to rent out the property. There are plenty of other places to rent in this area. Im sorry that I wasted my time on such a worthelss company. I wish I would have read the reviews earlier. Good luck Sunflower. Your lack of customer service doesnt do you any good when you are trying to rent out properties.
SUNFLOWER management responded quickly, timely, and pleasantly. They were very easy to talk to, and communication was very good.Linda Desmond
I always get a quick, efficient, friendly and helpful response when I have a question or need. I was told SUNFLOWER was a great management company, and that has definitely been my experience.
I have been renting with Sunflower Management for close to two years now. I really wish I had read the reviews first. The people there have been extremely inattentive to any issues I have had. For example, I put in three requests for assistance over a month long period and ended up having a friend come fix the problem because they would not assist me. There have been several instances where they have entered my apartment while I was not home and have never notified me of the event. I only found out because my neighbors saw them in my place. I have paid my rent on time ever month and have been a great tenant but when my lease is up I guarantee you I will be moving on.
We have had a great experience with Sunflower...Scott has been very responsive to our needs even in the midst of huge amount of details. Our tenants seem to be happy with the service also.
Terrific property management firm! Prompt...proactive...thoughtful. Always a pleasure to work with! Jim H.
Ive been looking at a few of the properties over the summer and have been disappointed on a couple of occasions only because it seems like the rentals arent in the best of conditions. I understand that the tenants are partially to blame, but I still think its the its the property managements duty to step up and make sure the properties they have arent completely run down.
If it was possible to give 0 stars, I would. We have had sunflower for about two years now and I am still not convinced any of them have a college degree. Our real estate agent wore a jean mini skirt and uggs. When it comes to trying to get in contact with them, a carrier pigeon would likely work better than phone calls. They occasionally return calls and emails, but in a very untimely manner. Our thermostat stopped working this winter and after a few cold days they finally came to fix it. They charged us $150 for a new thermostat, when it wasnt our fault it broke in the first place. We were also charged $300 upon move out for not putting in new light bulbs... they will try to squeeze every dollar out of you that they can. Honestly, one of the sleeziest operations I have ever come in contact with. We had a couch in our front yard and they emailed us saying it must be disposed of because you can not have indoor furniture outside. So we dragged it to the dumpster, which was full, and left it on the side of the dumpster. Next thing we know, Sunflower is charging us $200 for a removal fee.If you are looking to move/rent in the area, I recommend building a cardboard shack on the side of the road before turning to these people. I believe I know of 3 active lawsuits against them at the moment,
Omg i have had the worst 60 days with sunflower. I have been out of my unit for 6 + wks and it was only supposed to be 4wks. The receptionist is very rude and the staff do not get back to you in a timely manner and when they do they dont have answers. I love my apt i just dont like the lake of customer service and rudness of staff.
We decided to try and look past the reviews of this company and schedule a tour of one of their properties anyway. It was on the high end of our price range, but the neighborhood and photos looked good so we thought wed give it a try. Everyone we spoke to on the phone and the lady who showed us the property was friendly. Unfortunately, thats the only positive comment I can leave. We were shown the unit (a fourplex townhouse) by an individual who was not a leasing agent, she just shows the properties and takes pictures. I dont recall her name. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was that the pictures advertised were of a completely different unit. I found this troubling and quite frankly, false advertising. The next thing I noticed was the horrid condition the previous tenant had left the unit in.The carpet in the entire unit smelled strongly of animal urine and was torn up in places so much that the spikes underneath the carpet were visible. There were cracks and gouges across the kitchen linoleum. The drawers in the The walls had dents and scuffs across them where you could see someone had messily spackled over some of the deeper dents. Several of the closet doors had numerous dents to the point that they didnt close properly. The screen door to the balcony was shredded and hanging. The bathtub had rust coming through the bottom. There was a wasps nest attached to the underside of the balcony that someone had halfass tried to remove. There were definitely still wasps flying around. We pointed these things out to the person showing us the unit, and she agreed that it was in really bad shape. She couldnt tell us when, or even if, any of these things would be fixed/replaced by maintenance. I felt bad for her and that her company had sent her out there without any information besides what was on the listing to show a unit that hadnt been so much as vacuumed.Needless to say, we did not submit an application.I dont know if Sunflower Management usually shows dirty, hazardous units to prospective tenants, but being that this was our first impression of the way they run their company, we couldnt possibly recommend them to anyone in good conscience.By the way, we viewed this property on July 3. Im writing this today, July 25th because were still looking for a place to live and I saw that their ad for the unit we viewed is still up, three weeks later, with the same false pictures and same price.I hope this helps someone make an informed decision and my heart goes out to their current tenants.
We started working with Sunflower Management in June 2013 as the property manager for our rental property in Manitou Springs CO. As owners of a rental property, we went to great lengths in searching for a company to fit our needs. We live out of state and needed a company with good resources and professionalism to manage our home and find excellent tenants. Sunflower and their team did not let us down. We had some issues along the way with flooding of the home and other maintenance work that needed to be completed. I was able to rely on Sunflower each step of the way to ensure our home was taken care of to our standards and make sure the tenants were affected as little as possible all while keeping our budget in mind. Sara Triplett is absolutely amazing and a true asset to this company. We sincerely cannot say enough about this wonderful lady. We have spoken and e-mailed with her countless times. Each time we have found her to be proactive, responsive and I always feel as if my day is better once I have spoken to her. She personally made sure everything we requested was handled professionally, timely and exceeded our expectations.May, 2016 we decided to sell the rental home. We contacted Kurt Stark (Managing Broker for Sunflower Management) along with some other local Real Estate Agents. I have worked in the Mortgage/Real Estate business for more than 20 years and work very closely with Real Estate agents on a daily basis. We have very high standards and expectations. Being out of state also created a situation where we had to place a lot of trust in the agent we chose. After meeting with Kurt we knew he was the perfect fit for us. Kurt immediately went to work on a marketing plan to sell our home. His experience and knowledge of the Colorado Springs area helped us to get a full price offer. Kurt’s assistance was invaluable during the entire process. On several occasions, Kurt had to immediately run to our home to meet another agent, or someone completing work on the home. He even completed some last minute work himself to make sure our closing went smoothly. He was in constant contact with us each step of the way. He is honest, personable and most of all reliable. I would recommend Kurt Stark to anyone selling or buying a home in the area.Sincerely,Stacy and Eric Weetman
This company was disorganized and lacked professionalism. I cannot recommend them based on the following:1. I called and left messages to view several properties 2 times over the span of several days. The company did not return my calls. It was not until a 3rd call (on day 4) that I was able to speak with someone.2. The company sent out someone unqualified (which the employee admitted) to give a tour of the properties. (The agent was not aware of the current rental rate, and did not have supplemental information available).3. Upon returning to the company office after a viewing, we noticed the a minimum of four other employees in the office. It did not make sense that the company would send someone unqualified, given that there were several other employees working that day.4. I called the company to follow-up and let them know that based on my experience I was not interested in their properties. I received no call in return.5. Several days later, my credit score was impacted. They ran my credit without authorization, even though I specifically stated I was not interested in their properties.
I have been looking for houses to rent in the Colorado Springs area and I have been in contact with 5-6 Colorado rental companies; this one has been my worst experience so far. I came on a house that my wife and I liked. I emailed an inquiry to this company via zillow, the next day emailed the company directly and filled out a pre-approval on their website, the next day I called and left a message. All of this with no response back. On the fourth day of attempting to contact somebody about this house, I was told in a very condescending manner that multiple applications on this house had been received and they would not consider mine. Given the responsiveness and customer service of this company it is probably for the best that they did not return my calls or emails because I cant imagine renting from them would be a positive experience. I am not someone who usually writes reviews but I think that people should be warned in advance about this company.
Sunflower Mangement screwed tenants over by switching to a new payment provider that doesnt support autopayments, and doesnt allow multiple tenants (aka roommates) to create their own billing accounts with their own payment information(s).The management is disorganized, it has a paltry response time for maintenance requests. One of the rooms has a leak whenever it rains, and they havent been able to come out and fix it for months.Additionally, they tried fining us tenants because the smoke detector in a public, unsecured area went missing.Only giving 1 star because I cant use 0 stars to express my incredulity over this ludicrosity.
Lacie was a kind and understanding emmassary for your business. .When I am ready I hope shes there to help me find my FOREVER Home!!!
Under new management, things have improved but still have a few opportunities for improvement. Resolved my issue in the end.
We are so impressed Miles, our maintenance tech. He is professional, and gets gets the job done right, Hes also really easy-going, and unflappable, lol. We have a very ADHD household and tend to ping around like the inside of pinball machine. Miles got every thing fixed on the list, saw things that needed fixed and did those, all the time with us, my helpful dogs, and very nosy chicken, swirling around him, just taking it all in stride with a great sense of humor. Thanks Miles! You are awesome!!
Have called and left two voicemails over a week ago and emailed. Still havent received a response. Already submitted my application and paid the application fee, so its extremely irritating to not even get a reply. I can only imagine how hard it would be to get a work order done if you actually rented from them.
Ive been trying to schedule a showing for a rental for weeks now. Their link to Showmojo doesnt work and niether does their telephone apparently. Ive left messages and still no answer.
I live in one of Sunflower Management Properties. I have been living under very poor conditions here(ITS HELL). we have dog piss and FECES dripping down all over us all the time and now we have MAGGOTS ALL OVER OUR BACK DOOR we also smell meth out side there window.WE CALL code enforcement with no help. My Wife has a brain tumor and living under these condition is very stressful for her .I HAVE PHOTOS. I will be posting photos on Facebook soon.
THEY WILL ROB YOU. They are very shady with their billing and YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK even if you leave the place in BETTER condition than when you moved in. Move along. Find a different company to rent from.
Scott Huebner, a property manager for Sunflower is just great. With bad experiences with other managers in the past; Scott is a breathe of fresh air.The bad reviews Ive read here on google reviews are clearly people who dont pay their bills on time, or make arrangements when something comes up; irresponsible types. Sunflower has been awesome to us especially Scott Huebner. Scotts why we have been loyal tenants for over two years now. If we have any problems, Scott gets it fixed. If we have something to voice, Scott listens and mitigates. If Sunflower Managements employees are all like Scott its no surprise why so many tenants are happy with this company.
I was really, really interested in a 2 bed apartment in the Rockrimmon area that was advertised on their website in November 2012. I called and left 2 voicemails and I emailed them through their website that I was interested in the rental and would like to see it, and got no response. I finally drove to their office, walked in and talked to the receptionist. When I asked about that specific rental, she had to look on the website to see what I was talking about--and they only had 10 properties listed for rent. She took down my information and promised to have an agent call me. No one ever called me. The new ownership/management that took over in September 2012 is clearly as bad as the last...how can you expect to rent places if you refuse to contact interested people? I will never consider renting from Sunflower again.
I would never again rent form this company and if I owned property I would not let this company manage it for me. As a renter they are slow to respond to any maintenance issues and even forget about some--even when you rarely bring anything to their attention. The house was not properly cleaned when I moved in, which was fine because they came and took care of some of it after the fact (which was annoying to deal with), but then charged for not cleaning enough when moving out. I also had to deal with the actual property owners relatives stopping by and wanting to take care of things around the house without going through the property manager. I felt like I was a pretty good renter and took good care of the house, only to get crapped on by the company. As an owner, it doesnt appear that this company cares about the properties they manage... Im guessing they take a large cut for not doing much of anything.
Absolutely awful rental agency. Incredibly unprofessional and liars. I showed up at 430 one day to talk about my property, I was told by paige that i needed to make an appointment and that she was late for a meeting and on her way out the door. I knew she was lying so i waited in my car for 45 minutes only to see her waltz out of the office at 515. She had no appointment to get to. I would not suggest this rental agency to even my worst enemy. It will be a headache and you WILL regret it.
These people might be the worst company Ive ever interacted with. Theyre almost impressively apathetic and disorganized. Ive been renting from them for about six months and during that short period of time they have failed to process a check, sent me the wrong utilities statement, and regularly take weeks to fix repairs, even if the problem threatens the houses condition (eg leaks, broken locks etc). The terrible rating they have online exists for a reason and although they may be under new management, I have not seen any differences other than their newly rearranged office.
I called them regarding a house for rent and scheduled a showing, I show up at the set time and date and she is not even there! I called and Barbara is at lunch and claims she called me and told me she had to reschedule NOOOO she did not! So I wasted my time going there when she didnt even leave me a message, then she tells the receptionist that she is going to call me to reschedule and guess what she never did. I will never recommend any property to anyone with their name on it nor will I ever use them or allow my friends and family to. If you guys dont care about your customers then why do you deserve any business at all!
Extremly poor management company. This company fails to complete work orders. I currently still have work orders open from 2 months ago. They go over board on inspections they started off every 6 months however it now appears to be 3 months even thou the property is in better shape now then when we moved in. They also pick and choose what parts of their lease they obide by. Extremly difficult to get calls back once you become a tennant.
Thank you sunflower management staff... you guys are awesome and very responsive, friendly, knowledgeable in helping renters find a home, and i highly recommend anyone looking for apartment or a house to consider sunflower management.
Daughter got her first apartment and its great,, thank you all
Reuben was so helpful and made looking for a place enjoyable.
Sunflower Management is probably the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with here in the springs(and that is saying allot). Heres our story. My husband and I found an amazing 2br 2bath apartment through their, and a few other, websites. It had everything we were looking for and more. I of course jumped on the opportunity to get it. Paid the $80 application fee and then was told we couldnt see the apartment until the week of the move in date. I then asked to confirm that the photos on the ad were in fact of the exact apartment we were going to be living in. When she confirmed that I had no problem renting without viewing first (there were quite a few photos that showed how lovely the place was) after being approved for the unit we immediately put down the large deposit. After doing so we were please to see that it was taken off of their website almost right away. Cut to 4 weeks before move in, my husband is away for work and I get a strange email from sunflower saying that I owe $0 for rent of september for my 1BR 1BATH UNIT! NOT the 2br 2bath we had signed the lease for. About 10 phone calls and two days later I come to find out, yes we were lied to and ripped off for the wrong apartment. and there was not a 2br 2bath to give us as our contract states. Overall I will never be renting from them, and as we are apart of a large military community I would recommend that none of them go through sunflower either.
Ben did an awesome job fixing our garbage disposal. He arrived and got things done exactly when he said he would, and was polite and easy to talk to.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! I have read some of these reviews, and could not agree more, as a former renter/employee and tenant. Our apartment was filthy when we moved in, had not been painted or any repair work done. When I moved out, after having our carpet professionally cleaned, scrubbed the entire apartment (wiped down all walls, sills, appliances, etc.) we were charged again for a carpet cleaning and to re-clean the apartment. The residence we lived in has been taken back by the homeowner and is no longer under Sunflower Management. Sunflower is continuing to loose their properties and will continue to do so if they maintain their poor work ethic and performance. I am personally aware of unethical work practices, as well as their office being a total disaster. Who has the keys today???
I am STILL waiting on my security deposit and we left the house in better condition than we got it in. These people are slow and never get back to you
Horrible. Doesnt complete simple requirements. Tries to blame tenants but cant do anything about it legally since they are awful and keeping paperwork/documents. Just try any other company. Itll save you from lots of unnecessary stress
Trying to get in contact with this company is a constant hassle. After various attempts to reach someone at the office, I turned in a rental application and was told that I would hear back within a week but was never given any notification whatsoever...I might as well have thrown away $50. This company has a monopoly on property around Colorado College and they certainly treat people as such - with very little respect. I was hopeful to rent through this company and I have since moved on and I will not attempt to rent from them again.
NEVER NEVER NEVER RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!! my son did not get his deposit back despite the house being in BETTER and much CLEANER than when he moved in !!!! They also want him to pay an extra 400 dollars for repairs and cleaning . The house had never been as clean as when he moved out and during 6 months of his stay the company close off the deck because it was in bad condition so they could not use it for 6 months !!!! Also he was not able to move in to start with when he was supposed to for 2 months despite being required to pay rent, because it took them that long to clean the carpets and fix several things( which never happened) . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!! Other people we know are going to court to get their money back !!!! thats how bad it is
Just the worst experience Ive ever had with a management company, they have my deposit, and my contempt.
They are always really nice and helpful.
A worthless company looking to run as cheap as possible. If you want to lose your deposit money or live in disgusting conditions, be sure to rent from them!
Thank you guys for everything, you are an awesome company.
The worst management company... They absolutely suck!
Worst management ever! Dealing with these people for one year was hell! They have lied to me me many times. Their customer service is terrible.
Very prompt and polite😀
No one really has it together at this place. Pulling teeth to get simple questions answered.
Could care less about their tenants. Only care about how much money they take from you
Poor organization and terrible response time on work orders.
Good place to rent from
Very friendly and professional people!
If you are looking for an ethical place to rent from, steer clear of Sunflower.

Horrible!!!!
