Staff is super helpful. I spoke with Ronny I believe his name was and he took super good care of me. Upon my arrival, I realized this was the wrong Hertz location I originally picked up from but, nevertheless, I was able to drop off the vehicle as they took care of everything for me.

They don’t have key box for returning cars after hours. When I asked for it, they told me I can still return car on Sunday and leave it with Hertz car sale people before 6 pm. When I got there on Sunday 3 pm, no one was there and building was locked. If I was not given misinformation, I would had different plans.

I rented a vehicle here, got a flat tire omw to work on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. I called roadside assistance. Sat for 20 minutes on hold before deciding to change the tire myself. The car comes with a donut spare. When I called the Hertz location, they offered ABSOLUTELY no help whatsoever. I asked for a new vehicle to which the kid said he wouldnt do that. Then the kid that answered the phone told me that the donut spares were perfectly safe and were very strong meanwhile, Im staring at the warning sticker saying that it has a rating of 50 MPH. Try hitting a pothole on US19 with a donut spare. See what happens.Good to know now that Hertz does NOT have their customers backs as Ill NEVER rent from them ever again. They just lost a lifetime customer.BTW the car reeked of cigarettes, was dirty and only had half a tank. After they said it was full of gas. Theyre either liars or they dont know what theyre doing. Save yourself the headache, rent from someplace else.

Well the staff here is extremely pleasant and very accommodating The vehicle I received itself was sub par... I dont think it would have been that hard to clean the windows of the vehicle before delivering it.. And the fact that the car reeked of smoke was even worse. The vehicle just wasnt up to Hertz standards...

Lied about keybox, the two gentlemen made fun of me(laughed) when I wasnt strong enough to knock down the backseats in the car. Overcharged me, tacked on extra fees at the end and now I cant get it refunded.Terrible service, terrible experience. Never can reach someone for an explanation, Im just expected to deal with this?Will never use again.Wish it could be resolved but they arent willing to work with me.

The car we rented was not cleaned well and has several dents. We called to reserve a full size and when we got there, she said the best I can do for you is a Corolla (small mid size). We were charged for the full size we rented even after questioning it. We paid a fortune for this junk car. Will not go back.

Great location to do buisness with!! I have rented numerous times through this location over the past 6 months and the service has been nothing but top notch each time. The Branch Manager Mike and his team definitely always go the extra mile! Vehicles are always clean and most importantly the billing is always exactly what I was quoted! Much appreciated Hertz team!

Why is it that most rental companies dont clean the windows? I HATE driving, especially at night with dirty foggy windows. Knowing this, I picked up the car a little early for my trip from Clearwater, FL to Charleston, SC. I spent 30 cleaning the filthy windows and the console area. I went through the drivers gages and saw the rear tires were well above the recommended inflation recommendations and the fronts below.The 20 Altima was great on gas!

Ive rented from the Clearwater location several times without issues. Quick check-in and out. The most recent time had an issue with the smell of the car. I brought it right back and they were quick to replace the car for me. Cant beat the service and prices.

Im giving this location 4 stars because the car I got could have been cleaner like the ones you pick up at the airport. The staff has always been friendly with me and this is my second or third time renting from this location. They do have busy hours so there might be a wait at those times and small details missed. But overall they will make good on it.

Extremely rude staff, specifically Mike F they were rolling eyes and making faces/laughing in front of us while we were trying to rent a car. They were extremely rude to my wife and her friend. They added extra charges without telling us and refused to take accountability. Hertz is a good company, but this specific branch off US-19 is horrible.

Horrible rental place. I have rented from many places before and never had an issue until I came across these people here, the “so called manager” had no idea about our reservation that was placed for a convertible car.... not to mention that they had NO convertible cars available after booking a convertible car on line. We traveled with an Uber 40 min to get a convertible that was not available when we arrived. Wasted time, money, and energy on our vacation. DON’T USE THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LEAVE WITH NO CAR. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORST PLACE.... that’s said politely. The manager at this place should change jobs, with the way he is, not sure he will be able to clean the bathrooms there.

After an auto accident I needed a rental car and I had a very pleasant experience when picking up my rental. Throughout the process there were multiple delays in the repair of my vehicle. Sarah was thoughtful, responsive and continued to assist me as I extended my rental. The reason I needed a rental wasnt pleasant, but Sarah made the experience as pleasant as could be!

The wait to pick up was ridiculously long because they decided only one of the maybe 15 people here can work it. I also found German Roaches in the Chevy SUV I rented from them. Not good as they are near impossible to get rid of. Be sure to check every crevice of your belongings should you rent from this location. I would not be surprised if every car has them as they can travel up to 15ft and continue to spread.

The service up front was pretty straight forward although not very organized and I waited an extended amount of time with no one else being served. I rented the car for 3 days as my car was being repaired, but my car ended up being completed within 24 hours. I called Hertz to let them know the car will be available to be picked up at the dealership as discussed but 2 days early, and they stated that everything is taken care of and they will come get the car. 2 weeks later I was charger $175 dollars for one day rental. I called several times, sent emails to corporate but they didnt once get back to me. Unprofessional, and sheister like antics are ripe in this location. I strongly recommend using Enterprise, or any other car rental agency period.

Reserved a full size car. When I got there, they did not have one on the lot and need to rent us a SUV. A Highlander was promised. After 30 minutes of paperwork and payment, the agent said I am changing the rental to a Kia Sportage. After being there so long, I did not protest. We only have the car for a week so no big deal. Then I saw the Red KIA. Door dings and scratches on every panel. I was embarrassed to have my wife drive the car. The attached image was taken before we drove off the lot.

The worst experience I have ever received. We booked a reservation to rent a mini-van 3 months ago. I called the day before to confirm and was told everything was all set.When I arrived to pick up the minivan, I was told they did not have one available. They told me they would try to find one and call me. I was also promised the regional manager would call me. I never heard back from the regional manager nor any store employee. I was left with no vehicle or transportation to take my family on vacation. They did not have anything comparable to offer.Hertz should be ashamed of themselves. This is totally unacceptable and would hate to see this happen to someone else. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Dont go here to rent a vehicle. The staff are immature and the manager is the worstIt took them a week to close out the rental after I dropped off the vehicle at the dealership. The manager stated it would be ok to do this. I confirmed they would stop charging my card. Ultimately they charged an additional 500.00 on my card. Now I am working with the credit card services to delete the charges. They are understaffed and its hard to get someone to answer the phone. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!!

Worst business practice ever! When we rented the car they told us it would be $131 and that we had to return the car at noon . Well when we got there at 11:50 to return the car the lady at the front desk tells us its $174 ... I ask why and she says because we didnt have it returned by 9am . Not one time did she say anything about any extra fees or any where in the paper work did it say it as well . Also she was extremely rude and they just seem like they dont care about there customers all they care about is how much money they can get out of you . Best advice I can give you is go somewhere else!!!

This place is an absolute joke. We made an appointment to see a car at 3pm. All the cars that we wanted to see had no gas. We had to wait for them to get gas for a test drive. The salesman was totally confused and had no clue which cars were for sale or which were just rentals. After two hours, they showed us a car that we were interested in and we test drove it. When we got back we asked about removing some scratches and getting a second key. There was absolutely no attempt to accommodate us. It was like they could care less. When we left the manager tried an end of the month hard sales tactic on us and screamed call that other woman about the van (like we were morons). We paid more for the same car from a reputable dealer. Dont go here, its totally a Mickey Mouse operation.

Driver was sent to wrong place to pick me up, when we arrived at the rental counter no one was there. Me and 3 other customers waited for about 5 minutes before someone showed up. Several computer problems my rental was attempting to process 6 times on 2 different computers. The car was given to me freshly detailed wet but once the water dried you could see it was beyond filthy.

While the rental was a great car and deal, reserving the car was a nightmare. I tried twice online with no results, web page would not submit or progress after I filed the information requested. Twice I called the phone reservation line. Both times the customer service reps accent was so strong I wondered If they got the reservation correct. I tried to call the local office direct to see if they had the reservation, no one ansewered. When I did show up at the office to pick up the car I find the car is at a different location 20 min away. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN RESERVING A CAR FROM HERTZ!!!

The rental has a good location and I rented a car from there twice, both times for approximately two months. The cars were given to me wet but unwashed. After the cars had dried, they looked horrible and the dry state also revealed multiple scratches on the cars. The insides of the cars were not cleaned- both the trunk and the seats were dirty, dusty and had garbage lying around. The employee apologised but did not clean it either which raises the question if I as the renter should buy a vacuum cleaner on my holiday to clean the car?! Moreover, it looked like the employees were very used to giving empty apologies instead of providing a proper service.

Take care of yourself if you go to this location. They didnt do a car inspection before I left. He only clicked unlock from the doorway of the office and said the lights that turned on are your car. I drive off the lot and. Prices that the tire pressure light was on. I pulled over to find the fire had a screw in it. The place was closed at that point. Also, he marked the gas at full when it was a quarter empty. On top of that, he claimed the mileage was at 100 when it was actually 36,800. I made two mistakes: going here and not double checking all of the paperwork and details.

This is the worst car rental agency I have ever dealt with. Rented a vehicle online and they did not have it when I got there. The attendant told me I should go to Tampa Airport (40 minutes away) to pick up a vehicle. When I asked how I should get to Tampa when I had no car, he just shrugged and continued working. He said the corporate office overbooks all the time and it was out of his control. He could not have cared less about customer service. I ended up walking 2 miles to get home. I then called Enterprise Rental Car and they immediately rented me a car and took good care of me. I should have called them first cause this Hertz location was horrible. DO NOT USE HERTZ!

If you’re looking to buy a used car from here, DONT. Their customer service is terrible. You will ask for certain information multiple times before they actually give it to you, and it will more than likely be incorrect. I’m also convinced they lie about inspecting the cars because the same day I drove off with the car, I noticed my key fob only worked if I was within 5 feet of my car. Not a huge deal, just replaced the battery, but it showed how they didn’t pay attention to detail. I’ve now had my car for 3 months and it’s having real issues that I have to take it in to get fixed. And on top of that, it’s been making a rattling sound since a couple days after I bought it. I’ve regretted this purchase since it happened and I only made it because I was in need of a car at the time, the price was good, and it’s a car that’s known to be very reliable, so I tried to put their customer service issues aside. But I promise you, it’s worth it to spend the extra money at a place that actually cares about their quality of service and does a full inspection and is honest about it.

Horrible experience. First, when we called to reserve, they said we could use a debit card. When we arrived, we were refused a car unless we put it on a credit card. Second, when we did get it figured out, they told us to have the car back by noon. When we return the car at noon, they tell us that it should have been back at 9, charged us an additional days rental, and added a fee for an additional driver, which we were originally told was included in the original fee.I fear they operate in this manner on purpose.There are only 3 things one needs to consider before renting here:BudgetAvisEnterprise

Horribly run. They have a count of the rentals and the timeframe, how can they be so poorly understaffed? (See other users reviews as well). They have about 4 doors to get into the building and only one was unlocked. The bathroom doors are locked and the water fountains do not work, yet they have a line of people standing around waiting to rent a car. They only had one guy working the front desk and a woman working in the side office did not even acknowledge the lines. They need to hire new Managment.

I had a bad experience, there was chips and dents on the car and they were not notated on a sheet about the car. When I came to turn the car back in they were trying to say I caused all of the damage that was on the car. I dont think I have to say anymore after that.
