Best place Ive been to for a hair cut. Amazing service. For men they cut long then go shorter at your will. Other places Ive been have hard times cutting my hair. This place did it with ease. Absolutely going back. McKenzie ( hope I spelt her name right.) Did a phenomenal job. Best cut Ive ever had. Closest to the picture Ive ever got. Usually have to go fix the styling part. Not here. I walked in an was instantly greeted and seated. Amy was awesome, hes was very good at making sure she understood what Iwanted, clarifying throughout while at the same time really trying to get to know you as a person.

Oof. I got a pretty awful haircut here. Blending was non-existent. I ended up getting this fixed elsewhere.

Prior to coming to Garage Salon, I had been visiting salons that left me with whatever the newest hair fashion trend was rather than a style that was designed specifically for me: for my face shape, taking my overall appearance into account, including my personality, my career, my ability to style my own hair. I came across Cheryl at Garage Salon. Cheryl attended AVEDA Institute (formerly Horst), and I had been looking for a stylist in the area that had received training at AVEDA. Cheryl gave me a style that works for me in every way. Shes highly skilled, runs a classy first-rate salon and has great natural talents. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for an individual look, a great cut, and friendly service.

Appointment with CherylFrom Phoenix, just visiting Chippewa falls, and my curly hair was out of control in the humidity. I went in and said, please cut it, shape it and debulk it. I love my haircut. Made appountments here for my wedding party and myself. A couple of my girls were Very disappointed in their hair because it looked so much different then the sample picture we brought in and each one ended up looking slightly different and not as loose and soft as the picture we showed. Theres was full up-do and $60-70. Because I was the bride I was charged $80 and mine was a half-up do. I thought that was strange given it was half the work of a full up-do, but I was charged MORE because I was the bride. Kind of crazy. Even worse, my bobby pins were popping out all over within 10 minutes of leaving the salon and the curls fell flat before my ceremony. It was disappointing. I did ask for a lot of volume on top and the lady who did my hair did succeed in giving me the oomph I wanted, and it lasted all night so 2 stars because of that little success... Oooo and they had coffee for us which was nice. I considered going back with pictures of how the curls on the bottom of my hair went completely flat before my ceremony and asking for some sort of refund or compensation for how crappy that was for me to deal with fixing before I had to walk down the aisle (especially when I paid $80 for it), but I live two hours away and just decided to move on and leave a review instead so that at least someone else thinks twice before going there on their wedding.. Or at least knows what to tell them at the salon make sure the bobbys are secure and the curls hair sprayed or something so they dont go flat immediately..

I really like having The Garage Salon right here in Chippewa Falls & Im glad I get to go there instead if my car! 😉
