EWC in Edgewater is fantastic. They are clean and practice safe steps during these unique times. Reception is always so welcoming. I cant see their smiles, but they definitely greet you with one every time! My wax specialist Janeen, is exceptional.

I was nervous going during quarantine, but I figured they would have COVID precautions. I arrived and was pleasantly surprised at just how many precautions! They have people wait outside and have a whole system for remote check-in. They check the temperature of everyone entering. There are face shields in front of the cash register and all employees are wearing masks. The experience of being waxed was pleasant as always. Made me feel comfortable even in the most uncomfortable scenarios haha! Loved the staff!

I’ve been a member of EWC for about 7 years. This is my home location, but I visit other locations nationwide on a regular basis when I’m traveling. My favorite thing is the prices. They frequently offer packages for wax services that are buy 9 get 3 free (Brazilian, leg, underarm, lip, etc) which is consistently the best pricing for wax services that I have found. They use hard wax that is much nicer to your skin than the wax found in most nail salons. You can use your package at any location nationwide as well which makes it very convenient if you split your time between several places.

Amazing first experience! I came to European Wax for a Brazilian for the first time and I wouldn’t go anywhere else ever again! From the moment I walked in the attentive service was excellent. Paula was amazing! I expressed my fear of pain and in seconds she made those feelings go away. She spoke to me through out the entire wax (which went really quick) but this put my mind at ease and I totally forgot about any pain. I highly recommend this location and Paula!

My first time doing my eyebrows here, loved the whole experience from beginning to end! Paola new what she was doing. Ive been trying to grow them in for over 6 months so I was hesitant to get my eyebrows done. But im so glad I did, Paola cleaned them up without removing the the hairs I tried growing for 6 months. She shaped them beautifully and gave them life again. The receptionist was also so sweet and helpful. I felt very comfortable and knew I was in good hands.

Sad that I moved and can’t come here anymore but it’s a great location. Front desk is often lost and not reliable but the waxing services are great. Book with Yessenia!!!! She’s the best waxer there and I stuck with her for close to two years, more than I can say I’ve done with anyone else!

I made my appt 2 weeks ago - 1st time making appointment in this location - they canceled my appointment twice ! 1st they claimed to be short staff - I accommodated them by switching times and making changes to my schedule . While on my way there they called letting me know that they will have to cancel they will be closing early !Left my job earlier and they won’t even try to accommodate me and they refused to put me in contact with a manager . While having clients in their location they preferred to cancel on a new client that had re arranged their whole schedule due to their lack of employees showing to work ! Very unprofessional ! Oh and let’s not mention I was going on vacation the next day ! Thank you European wax center for being so unprofessional ! Will never go back ! They lack customer service and are very rude !

Although I try to book the same waxer, schedules conflict. With that said, my favorite waxers are Diamond and Yessenia. They are friendly, knowledgeable and both have their own techniques to make you feel ridiculously comfortable, and there was no real pain. The waxing job are always beautiful and never ended up with ingrowns.However, I have experienced a wax job that surprisingly hurt. Having a high threshold for pain I was surprised. I had a little bleeding as well. Following the same regimen with previous waxes and waxers, I ultimately ended up with a good amount of ingrowns. This particular session, I felt was rushed in that pressure was not applied as long as others have with hair removal. The wax was applied and more applied on top, and some even got stuck! I also realized the wax was not as warm. I do not believe in leaving negative reviews for on specific person......I will say it’s best practice to book the waxer you know, and has shown to do good work. This way you avoid uncertainty. I’ve learned it’s better to wait (if possible) for the waxer(s) you normally see. ESPECIALLY if you have sensitive skin.Front staff have always been sweethearts! Never been pressured into buying anything. They have packages to sell (apart of being the front and face of EWC) as I see it, they’re doing their job. A simple “no thanks” will suffice and they say “ok”.As far as crowds and wait time, I’ve always had an appt, mostly in late mornings, and have never waited more than 15min.Place is clean, and has a good energy.

I have been always interested on getting a Brazilian wax. I have always been afraid because I thought it would hurt so bad, but I finally decided to let that fear go and give it a try. The front desk girls were super friendly and knowledgable. I was set up with one of the waxers her name is Julissa D. Julissa made me feel 100% comfortable, and make the experience fun and honestly not painful! I had a great conversation with her, she walked me through the process and made things super easy! Love this place! I recommended all first trimmers to schedule a free wax service (if you go for a full Brazilian I would call to ask what the discount is for a first time visitor). If you do go to the JC location book Isabel! Shes rewllly sweet and talks to you to keep your mind off of the waxing. I would definitely recommend this place!

I have to just say Rose is the best. I stopped in several months ago and was lucky to get Rose. She has been doing my eyebrows ever since and she has helped me grow them in and keep a beautiful shape. The center is beautiful and clean and I totally recommended this location.

Was recommended at this location. Made appt. and was there in time despite heavy traffic and calling them saying I was in traffic. Was told as long as you get here by 4:12pm. I did make it on time only to find out that the person doing the wax would not have enough time with me and not to let the next customer wait. Horrible.Would not go to any of their chain companies.

I would highly recommend this location, fyi -its the only one I went to. After a terrible waxing experience in a well known NYC waxing spa 10 years I havent been back to get waxed again, just did it at home myself. Well I finally decided to try again, and Im sure glad I did. I have sensitive skin and find waxing to be painful. I saw Amanda, she was very nice, knowledgeable and professional. It really did not hurt, which I was shocked at. The results were great, almost 3 weeks later Im still hair free, my hair grows slowly. I would highly recommend Amanda and the Edgewater location. They have lots of products and they go over them at your first appt. I didnt want any products and there was no hard sell after I said no thank you. Amanda did provide free samples. I will definitely be back, no more at home waxing for me.

The staff was extremely nice and everyone was very welcoming, However they were VERY pushy in selling additional products. The wax itself was a pleasurable experience but the job was horribly executed and very patchy. I had to go somewhere else to remove all of the hair because I was going on vacation so essentially I paid for 2 seperate waxes. If you want a crappy waxing and be pressured into buying body washes you dont need come here.

Customer service in the front is horrible. Girls answering phones are impatient and unfriendly and very fast in directing to use app for rescheduling apt. She did not tell me ours of the waxer I like. She did not want to help me reschedule my apt and they don’t call me for reminder as well anymore. My waxer Yesenia is awesome. My daughter and I love her and that is why we come to this location in Edgewater otherwise I would switch location. Front desk help sucks and is rude too. 0 stars for front desk but 5 star for Yesenia.

Went for the first time today and absolutely loved it. Janeen was my waxer and she was amazing.

Never go on a Friday night or Saturday night. Even when you have an appointment and get there 25 minutes before they rush you through and leave inches of patches to take the walk ins.I have been coming here for months and this is the second time it happens. Both times on Fridays and Saturdays. It sucks because you have to go back the next day for them to fix it, I just dont have time for that. Neither do I have time to go at any other time but Fridays or Saturdays.Sucks!

Wait times for your appointment can go up to 30+ mins. Got here 10 mins before my 1pm appointment and am still waiting 40 mins later. They don’t even know what services I booked on my online reservation.Two women who came at the same time as me were told their waxer cancelled last minute and they wouldn’t be able to be accommodated. Really unprofessional operational all around. Walked out.

Horrible service and very rude. I showed up to my appointment early and the cashier told me to wait outside and come back when it’s my time. I grabbed a shake and came back and they didn’t accept me because I was a few minutes late and she told me to come back tomorrow and rolled her eyes at me very disrespectfully and called me the b word under her breathe.

Worst place ever! I did my Brazilian and Eyebrow at this place. Since it is my first time registration, they gave me 50%off on Brazilian and a free Eyebrow, so I did both. But a week later, they called me saying their associate made a mistake, it should be an Either Or option, and they asked me to pay for the eyebrows! This is so ridiculous, if I know this is the case, I wouldnt do the eyebrows at the first time! Whats even worse, they ask their customer to pay for their mistakes. The contract is over since I walked out of the store according to the law. No one is responsible for anyone elses mistake.
