Ive been a client of the Yehia brand for 25+yrs. My current Hair Artist is Evan. I am EXTREMELY TENDER-HEADED, and he takes the time to comb and blow-dry my below bra-strap tresses with care. I usually get a relaxer and trim every 3 months. Ive decided to go natural and will only go in for trims since I will no longer add direct heat to my tresses. This journey will probably take at least 2 years to transition my long tresses, but Im up for the journey.Evan works with relaxed and natural hair. You will not be disappointed.

Not impressed by the customer service and inconsistency here. Called ahead and the man who answered the phone said they take walk-ins and take the last person at 5:30pm. Came in the next day before that time and the woman told me they were not taking anymore people. Same woman with short hair tells me to come back between 9:30am -10:30am the next day, and while I’m leaving for some reason the woman ask me my name then locked the door behind me. Called before I came back the next day and again not taking walk-ins even though I was told to come back the next day.

Yehia is a genius. I said I wanted something new, and he just set to work... Fluffed the damp hair, trimmed to a basic shape, lightened the weight of my very thick hair with some razor sharp shears (not those clumsy serrated scissors for lack of a better word). He walked around, answered his cell phone (family is apparently - and rightly - important to him), fluffed up my drying hair a few more times, layered some more... Then pulled out the dryer. Styling was very quick, using a round brush and the blow dryer to shape it to what he envisioned, and suddenly, Voilà!! I looked like a movie star! You may be thinking, Yeah, but what about the next morning, huh?!??!? Still a movie star :-) What about after washing, huh??!?!? Im actually dumbfounded that it still looks as great - because of the cut, not the styling.Yehia looked at my head carefully, the direction of roots & swirls, the thickness, the wave, the gray (more than Id like to admit), and he just knew what to do to make it a lasting cut. People have asked about the color!! No coloring was done; the cut eliminated dry hair, and it moves around to camouflage the gray!Two thumbs up. Go at a time when there are fewer clients, thats my only suggestion outside of having fun with your hair.

I had 3 inches of new growth and hadnt had a touch up relaxer since the summer of 2017...Muhammad did my hair and got it BONE STRAIGHT and BEAUTIFUL!!! I am extremely happy with his work...my hair looks great!!! (2/21/18)

The best haircut I have ever had!!!

I’ve been getting my hair at Yehia’s for 10+ yrs. The very last time I went in (was told to walk-in over the phone), I was told no one was in to service me— wash & blow-out. I was willing to wait until someone show up since it was morning time, but I was told NO ONE will come in to service me with a blow out. I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. This was my first time going to them this yr. Why tell me to come in for service if “no one” is available? I don’t live in the area! As scary as it is to find another place/company to do my hair, it seems what’s best.

Ive been coming to Marketa for over 20 years. She the best! I would never allow anyone else to touch my hair. Val is the only person who can tackle my eyebrows.

Specifically told them no chemicals as I had spent 4 years going natural. Was assured multiple times that a keratin treatment was only protein. As soon as it touched my scalp it was irritated and my eyes burned. I had damage to the scalp and have to start my natural hair care journey anew. So many great stylists and shops in the city. Go elsewhere!

Went to the salon in Hyde park. I thought I was in good hands because the owner was cutting my hair. However, I was in tears when he was done. I specifically told him I did not want my hair short but he chopped it all off anyway. He said he had to because my ends were bad. Regardless if they were or not, that is not his decision. He did not even discuss it with me, he just chopped it all off. There is no style to it either. I walked into his salon with beautiful long curly hair down the middle of my back and left out with short chopped off looking hair just above my shoulders. I am soooooooooo pissed and I want to sue. This is not right. Now I have to live with this until my hair grows back. Not fair!
